There is a restaurant nearby, but I walk a little, so Tianjin is cold, so I would be happy if there was a restaurant a little closer. However, there are vending machines such as instant noodles on the first floor. Overall, it was a comfortable experience for the price.

- sangyun (10/5): 메리어트 굿! - 위치도 좋고 가격도 합리적으로 좋습니다. 1층 조식코너에서 무료조식을 추가하던 안하던 카드나 룸넘버를 말하고 먹는게 아닌 방번호와 이름 사인을 하고 들어갑니다.(무료조식일 경우 따로 청구는 되지 않는다고 말했고 보증금도 문제없이 환불 되었습니다.) 보증금은 1000위안 + 30위안해서 1030위안이 결제되었고 저는 당일 환불 되었습니다. 저녁도 무료로 제공되는 걸로 예약하였지만 먹어보지는 못했습니다. 호텔에서 나가서 오른쪽에 큰 빌딩을 지나면 지하에 상가가 있는데 스타벅스와 세븐일레븐이 있습니다. 또한 그 반대편 출입구로 들어가면 샤오미 화웨이 미니소 등이 있는 백화점이 있습니다.

But there's really nothing nearby. So need to take a didi to eat shop and do anything. Breakfast really quite average. SOlid choice for NECC but otherwise just ok.

It's definitely a great experience staying here!

- JayG1054 (2/5): They Actually called the Police on Me!!! - The whole world is focused on two stories right now, COVID 19 and Black Lives Matter. BLM has made many organizations companies and government look at diversity, inclusiveness and ending discrimination. Tianjin Courtyard however has bucked that trend, they have decided to crank the discrimination up to 11! I arrived for check-in and was asked to fill in numerous apps and paperwork in the pretense of virus protection. Several of them were in English only so I though this was strange for a hotel in China. I couldn't help but notice that all the other Chinese guest checking in did not have to fill it in. They then demanded to see my "nucleic acid test" results and my "quarantine completion certificate". I pointed out to them that Chinese borders have been closed to foreigners since March so how could I possibly have them? They insisted that I must have them and since I don't they had to call the Police on me and off they went and did that! All the while many Chinese guest, who can enter China, were never asked for any of this. There is loads more to this story and I really cant be bothered writing it but I did get a reply from their customer service team saying this was a "misunderstanding". Asking for a hand towel and getting a face towel is a misunderstanding. Ordering a steak medium rare and getting rare is a misunderstanding. Calling the police because a guest does not have documents anyone of his race could have is not a misunderstanding! Don't stay here is my advice.

- jiyuanhuang (8/5): Very Considerate Service and Superior Hardware - The hardware and decoration are so exceptional that this hotel can easily deserve a Marriott rather than Courtyard. Elevated to Premier Room by Gold membership and the room is as big as 45 m2! The bathroom has floor heating which is rarely seen in many luxury hotels in Beijing and Tianjin. The price of room service menu is quite reasonable. The service was really considerate as I ask one more chair for my friend to work here. The only regret was the pillows. They were too soft and cannot cushion my head well, making me pretty tired whiling sleeping... The overall experience was very good.

Cerca del río que es un buen sitio para salir a correr. No tiene piscina cubierta como es habitual en hoteles de similar categoría en China. Muy recomendable.

I give this new hotel 5stars. Stefan was super warm and attentive when I checked in at the lobby reception. Executive Lounge supervisor May was very professional and helpful. But I must commend Lila, new staff at Exec Lounge. She was super helpful to provide me tourist info (attractions, point-to-point direction/transportation, etc) without me asking for the details... Kudos to the Courtyard by Marriott Tianjin Management team...hope you keep the standard of service...and recognise the efforts and service provided by the wonderful team you have...
- YUNA (10/5): 너무 만족스러운 숙소! - 1시반쯤 갔는데 체크인 무리없이 하고 한국인 직원도 계셔서 편했어요ㅎㅎ 그리고 숙소 어매니티도 잘 갖춰져 있고 깨끗하고 넓었어요 확실히 가격 대비 너무너무 좋은 것 같네요 숙소 근처에도 길 건너면 스타벅스, 맥도날드, 버거킹 등 여러 브랜드가 많아요 그리고 숙소 옆에 코코 버블티 브랜드랑 백화점 몰 크게 있어서 마라탕도 거기서 많이 먹었네요ㅠㅠ최고 지하철역이랑도 매우 가깝고 나중에도 톈진 갈 일 있으면 여기서 묵고 싶어요

- 2TravelU (10/5): Great Stay - Beautiful Hotel! - Having worked for Marriott & staying at every level of hotel the company offers, I can honestly say this was a wonderful experience. The staff is friendly & accommodating. The property is clean & modern. The room was well appointed & comfortable. It wasn’t too far from the attractions in the area, just not quite walking distance to some. There’s a mall next door & everything else was a short taxi ride away.

- richarda848 (10/5): Two day visit - Brilliant room loads space, clean, warm floor bathroom. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast. Really helpful polite staff. Only downside the cafe did not do hot chocolate. I will definitely stay there again.
- Kwok Kau (6/5): - Temperature of the room was too warm even with windows opened. Finally got engineers to centrally reduce the ambient temperature on the air conditioning system to restore some degree of comfort. Staff were generally very helpful.
- solomans2014 (8/5): Great choice! - I stayed at this hotel for one night in November and I was impressed with the overall facilities. The hotel is quite new and so everything is very clean and modern, at least for a Marriot hotel! I also liked the location. It is just next to a shopping center that has a great grocery store on the lower level. It is also next to a metro station so you will be able to get around quite easily. I think this hotel - given its reasonable price range - would be one of the best choices for a weekend stay in Tianjin. P.S. The shower was awesome ! :-)

- blingbling18 (10/5): Excellent service and quality - This hotel is quite new, spacious and clean. I love the gym room very much, big and not much people. Nearby have some shopping malls so it is convenient to buy some necessities. For me, I love to buy Casey yogart and some ice cream which HK doesn't have. As for breakfast, it should be considered as many choices, just the hot food are quite oily so I haven't try them except the Korean stir-rice. They can let you decide your own toppings so I like it. Others like salad, bread, fruit and coffee are available. The breakfast is perfect if the coffee taste is more intense. Inside the shopping mall has a MTR station. Overall, highly recommend this hotel for business trip, and family.

- Jade644 (10/5): Great hotel with good location - I was here for 3 nights with my kids waiting to enroll into TJU. We got a high floor room which was more than enough for 3 people. With my husband being the Platinum elite member, the hotel was so kind to offer complimentary breakfast for all of us as well as welcome gifts. Staff are all very helpful & friendly. The hotel is also very close to the Xibeijaio subway station (within walking distance) & a 10 mins taxi ride to the Tianjin west railway station. Overall, it's a good experience for us & we'll definitely stay here again next time.

Great cuisine and much variety. The restaurant staff were also very good and this experience encourages any guest to return.

- Mog14 (10/5): Great value - I had a solid two-night stay at the Courtyard in Tianjin. Guest Service Manager Jason Bai 白圣杰 made me feel welcome at check in and outlined the hotel's offerings. The location of the hotel is excellent, and a quick cab ride away from some of the former European concession areas. Overall, great value for your money.

- Megabruno1994 (4/5): Not Impressed, Surprisingly - My travels have taken me to the best parts of China and I can say most 99% of the hotels I stayed at exceeded my expectations in some way, shape or form. Not this one. My elite upgrade to a “junior suite” was actually laughable, and I initially thought I went into the wrong room as the suite was just marginally bigger with the same layout as a regular room. Decor was okay but considering it’s a brand new property I would call it sub-par (especially the floorings in room - felt cheap and squeaked when walked on). Also because it’s a new hotel, I could sense all kinds of weird toxic fume in the room even with a loud air purifier working really hard in my room - this eventually triggered my migraine and as a result I cut my stay short. The window was openable but the air outside was equally as toxic. Although, the Korean manager on duty was extremely apologetic and pleasant to speak to and so was the majority of staff. I may try this hotel again in a few years, but for now I will pass.

Very very well maintained property. Everything here was just perfect and wonderful. The location is also good. Not very far from the main bus station of the city.

With my search in email to show them my booking evidence, they only found it. Improvement in booking tracking is required. Overall room condition, is very clean, quiet and comfortable.

- crystal (10/5): New, spacious room, pleasant stay - New, big and spacious rooms with comfy beds that are huge even for twin beds. Decor is modern and classy. One drawback about the toilet is that there’s a drain ditch in the shower area, if you are not careful might trip on it and fall. Otherwise the room is well equipped for an international hotel chain. Plus points is that it’s new so things are fresh and clean. The location is not so ideal as it’s not near Tianjin rail station, and the location stated on Google Maps is incorrect. Even searching “166 beima Road” on Google shows a wrong point as well, it’s further down the road and hotels.com’s location is accurate.
