• CELIANE (7/5): Nice view and comfortable stay. - The location with the view over the very small lake (or large pond) was wonderful, especially in the early morning. Staff was friendly and room comfortable. Eating breakfast by a large bay window was delightful because of the views over the water and shrine. The onset facilities were small but still enjoyable. I expected better breakfast, or at least a Japanese breakfast.

• Florian (9/5): Très agréable dans l’ensemble - Son emplacement sur le lac, à proximité du centre, ses grandes fenêtres avec vue sur le lac. Chambre de 4, tout à fait propre et confortable, très petite salle de bain. Onsen dans l’hôtel non testé. Comme beaucoup d’hôtels au Japon, l’ensemble a un côté un peu vieillot. Ça fait partie du charme des vieilles bâtisses cependant.

• Zheng Feng (9/5): - 早餐是固定的西式早餐中規中矩，房間與設施能看出有點年紀仍保持清潔與乾淨， 窗外看出去就是金鱗湖，不必一大早上就跑出門吹風就能看到漂亮的晨霧飄在湖上，十分美麗， 可以坐在窗邊享受清晨時光，用餐地方是看房間號碼固定的，兩人房應該都是安排到窗邊座位，可以邊享受早餐邊看湖景。

• Hsiao-Wen (9/5): - the hotel is just aside of the lake. so we can enjoy the lake view and the early morning mist very much. the distance to train station is not short. originally i think of calling a taxi will be fine. BUT, after check out, even the hotel owner helped, there was NO TAXI available!! Also, it is NOT possible to leave luggages in the hotel after check out. This is also kind of out of my expectation. We then have to walk to the train station with all the luggages. Such a trade-off between enjoying lake easily and walking to train station with all luggages should be considerred. The lake, anyhow is really terrific. The breakfast provided by the hotel is also great.
• YULIN (10/5): 美好的住宿體驗，悠美湖景、慢遊、還有溫泉能泡～ - 夜晚遊客散去之後，真的很寧靜，雖然飯店建築很有年代了，但是看得出老闆非常地用心在經營維護，環境很乾淨整潔，「現做早餐」雖然平實，卻出乎意料地「相當美味」，而且份量足夠，直接飽到中午省一餐。房間雖然空間不算大，但是單人床、枕頭軟硬適中，非常好睡，至於美景就不多說了，這裡是湖景第一排，直接住一晚就對了，早起直接看美景～～那些旅行團來走馬看花的...基本上都看不出什麼景，住一晚才能體會這裡的悠閒、美好之處。 真的要說缺點，大概就是房內洗手台上方橫樑太低，身高超過180cm的人會撞到頭，建議可以加裝泡棉防撞，另外因為建築較有年代了，樓上房客如果有大動作，聲響容易影響樓下，不過我覺得瑕不掩瑜，小缺點無礙～～

• Biying (6/5): Overall nice stay but tatami is a bit risky if you are afraid of bugs - Great location, spacious room, and amazing view. I stayed in a tatami room, but unfortunately, I was bitten by bugs in the evening, which caused painful bites on my back and legs. I woke up at 2 a.m. and it took about an hour to get in touch with the reception. Thankfully, I was able to switch to a regular room with a normal bed around 4 a.m.

• Gary (9/5): Autumn 2025 holiday - The location was sensational. The view from the bedroom window out to the lake was a highlight . We both had the chefs suggestion for dinner and it was delicious, especially after a long day of travel. Before dinner we walked around the lake and every view was beautiful especially as the autumn leaves were starting. I would have been very happy to stay for a longer stay and explore the nearby restaurants in the town. Although land was at a premium at the site, an outside onsen overlooking the lake would have been the only thing I would ask for.

• Colleen (10/5): Beautiful accommodation in a central location with very kind staff. - Property is an icon of Yufuin. Located on the edge of lake kinrin. It is tucked away from the crowd but walkable to the station, main street and flower village. The staff were very warm and welcoming. I had a wonderful breakfast there with a view of the lake. The property also has a very nice relaxing onsen with indoor/outdoor options
