Guest Reviews
- Gbenga (8/5): -
- Lennox (8/5): My stay was pleasant and perfect location in osu no complaints - "I had a wonderful two-week stay at The Ritzz Exclusive Guest House in Accra. The location in Osu is unbeatable—so vibrant, just a short walk from the famous Oxford Street, with plenty of restaurants and shops. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the rooms were both comfortable and personal—especially loved having a kitchenette. Since it was low season, I was even upgraded to a better room, which made the stay even more special. My room was cleaned every day, and the sheets were changed regularly. There was always staff available to open the door for me when I went in and out of the building. They also gave me lots of advice on things to see, where to go, and how to get around, and they even helped me organise day trips. I became particularly good friends with Isaac, the security guard, who helped me locate items I was trying to purchase to bring back to England. The manager went above and beyond to make my stay truly memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience—I’d definitely stay there again!" "In terms of what I didn’t like, the guest house didn’t have a lift, and my room was on the third floor, so that was a bit of a challenge with luggage. However, the staff carried my bags on my behalf, which was a huge help and made things much smoother. I also noticed they’re adding more rooms—there are signs of building work, but I wasn’t disturbed by any construction. I was told they plan to add a rooftop bar, which sounds really exciting!"

- William (10/5): Fantastic team and rooms - From the second we stepped in, Maxwell and Esther made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond for us. Always on hand in case we needed anything at any hour, facilities were more than sufficient. Really enjoyed our stay overall. Nothing to note.
- Lukas (10/5): - -very clean
-nice amenities like full kitchen
-a safe in the room, which was not mentioned in the description of the room
-the location in Osu, close enough to Oxford St. but no noise
-very helpful employees
-manager asking for feedback at the end of the stay -Check-in could have been quicker (paperwork took 15+ minutes), but that was most likely because of a short-term problem with the copier that most likely will be fixed.
- Pearl (8/5): - The staff. Very friendly and accommodating
- Marco (10/5): Comfortable, affordable stay in the middle of OSU. - I have been to this hotel few times. I like the location. It is in Osu, but not on Oxford street. So, you have the buzz at short walking distance, but not the noise. The staff is very friendly. Rooms are modern and clean. Most of them with a small kitchenette. The private bathroom is small, but perfectly functional. Breakfast is served to you. No choice. But I liked it. Simple and tasty omelette with sausages. Fresh fruit. Toast and instant coffee. Overall it is great value for money! The could give you a bit of shampoo and bath gel rather than just a piece of soap...But I did not care much and I am pretty sure that they would have given me some if I had asked for. No lift. This could be a bit of an issue if you have big luggage. But the staff is ready to help you.
- Faridah (10/5): -
- Dr T (9/5): - The location was great close to the markets and restaurants.
The staff was very friendly
And the host an amazing lady
- William (10/5): -
- Teacher (10/5): Wonderful ! - The courteous, friendly and professional staff. Everything was perfect.
- Jeffrey (8/5): -
- Don Darcy (10/5): -
- Ann (9/5): - The staff was great and the hotel was in a good location.. The room was spacious and met all expectations. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was quiet, yet not far from restaurants and shops. Nothing
- Abba (8/5): - I'm impressed with their services None for now
I'm satisfied
- EMMANUEL (4/5): -
- pascalravaux (10/5): un bel établissement avec un emplacement idéal - un personnel adorable et aux petits soins. La chambre est belle et grande. L'emplacement de l'hotel est parfait car proche d'Oxford street tout en étant au calme.
- Frank (6/5): -
- Claudia (4/5): Disappointed - The staff were very attentive and friendly. The location is also quite nice, walking distancefrom Oxford Street. The room was also very clean Well, we were given a tiny room in the basement with very little light. We were also made to use their conversion rate for usd to ghanian cedis which was much higher than the current conversion. I do not think our room was very comfortable not high value for money. The internet did not reach our room...so we often had to go somewhere else for wifi. The people were lovely, but I would not stay here again
- Wim (8/5): -
- Richard750 (7/5): Adequate stay. Average value for money. - Adequate stay. Met expectations but certainly didnt exceed them.
Great shower. (we'd been without hot water for a week so)
Decent room, staff not overly helpful, but nice enough to let us leave our bags after checkout. Location was half decent, not far off Oxford street.
The value for money was poor.
- Vanessa (6/5): Before arriving please know how much you should pay in Ghana money before charging your bill. - They gave us a snack in the middle of the day. When I arrived early they allowed me to wait in the lounge they offered us water and mints candy. The location was also great its near the mall and many stores on Oxford street. In the middle of the night a huge cocoa roach was on the bed i was disgusted. Also they over charged me for my stay. When I arrived I was charged more than the booking price. I was not happy about that at all. This happened because I was showed the price in american dollars online but they charged my credit card in Ghana cedis/ money when i arrived. Later that day when i translated the money from cedis to American dollars i realized the mistake they made i should have requested my money back but I didn't i paid 20 dollars over the booking price so please be careful when paying.
- musa (7/5): - The hotel smelled nice, and the staff were courteous
- Harrison (8/5): -
- Johann (10/5): I will book there again soon. - The breakfast was plentifull and delicious. I could choose. The room wasn´t big, but it met all my expectations: kitchen, fridge, big safe... The room was not run down as often in big and expensive hotels, but it made a fresh impression. The friendly managers were always immediatily available. A supermarket is some 100 meters from the house which was always guarded.
- Theo (10/5): Like a home away from home. Relaxing, comfortable and friendly staff. - The staff at this hotel are simply amazing, every one of them. The management too is very warm and friendly, even sending snacks on multiple occasions. Please keep up this level of service, you are very much appreciated.
- Nicholas (7/5): Very central location with friendly staff. - Friendly staff, very central location. We were given complimentary snacks which was a nice gesture. Spacious shower cubicle with powerful shower and hot water on demand. The staff provided useful information about the local surroundings. An outdoor sitting area on the premises would have added much value to the experience. Perhaps a toaster would also be a useful addition. The stairs to the room are steep and the risers were not always of a consistent height.
- Abass (8/5): Very good -
- Jason (10/5): Perfect stay - The staff were so genuine and friendly and helpful, they made the stay here so comfortable. Hotel is located in a perfect area close enough to Oxford Street where you can get everything but far enough away where it's quiet. The bed was super comfortable, AC was cool and internet worked Nothing, everything was great
- Marian (9/5): Superb - Very friendly and helpful staff
- Sekou (8/5): Very good -
- Noel (10/5): Great and central location, wonderful staff, comfortable bed. - Excellent location. Close enough to Oxford St to walk to but far enough way that you can avoid the noise and traffic. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and continuously checked on me to ensure I was enjoying my stay. I was in Accra as a solo traveler but knew a few people in the area. They also had staff members on-site 24/7 and security on-site after hours. No hotel issues.
- Theresa (6/5): Location is good, staff very nice. Had a bad experience with people demanding to see our passports. - The location was perfect. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. Rooms were clean but not enough supplies. For example, half toilet roll was provided. No hand towel. No washing up soap and sponge in the kitchen. I have a bad experience with some people turning up at the hotel demanding to see our passports claiming they are from Ghana immigration. I have never had that kind of experience before in other hotels. We showed them our Ghana cards. I believe these people are not genuine. Also the hotel demands I pay the charges in US dollars or in cedis quoting a higher rate than the bank rate.
- Arend (8/5): Very good - It is centrally located, clean room and very friendly staff. The room is quit small and light comes through the curtains all side, so no sleeping in.
So it is basic but good value. Don't expect any nice lobby or restaurant area. For that you will visit the restaurants in the area.
- Toni (10/5): - The property was very quaint. We were greeted in a very welcoming manner. Check in was brief. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating, even with helping to get a driver for the early morning ride to the airport.
- Christopher (9/5): Superb - Excellent customer service.
Very clean and comfortable room
- Clifton (9/5): Superb -
- Phillip (7/5): Decent place - Exceptional service from the staff.
Clean room. Noise from right outside my window.
Room a tad too small
No coffee or sugar in the room despite having a kettle and mugs.
- Oluwatomisin (8/5): Very good - The room was very comfortable and homely. The staff were so pleasant. I had to upgrade to a bigger room The entrance.
- Mavis (9/5): Will give nine out of ten no elevator - The stuff was amazing and helpful Nothing
- Ignatius (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent and accommodating staff, clean and well equipped
- Karen (10/5): Convenient. Located near restaurants and shopping. Clean and comfortable. -
- Edward (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrei (7/5): Good - Location Too expensive for what it offers, besides location nothing else actually.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Liam (9/5): Superb -
- Abass (9/5): Superb - Perfect location TV did not work properly
- Jamila (8/5): Good place - The hotel is in a good location but the street is not particularly nice to look at. A bar and some other food places are down the street. Breakfast was not included but there is a great place down the street that had delicious food that was fairly inexpensive. The service was excellent, the room was as pictured (clean , neat and the bed comfortable).
The only drawback is the fact that there was pounding, vibrations and work sounds outside/against the bedroom wall at 7 a.m. in the morning (after arriving late from a long flight the previous evening).
You can hear the sounds of the bars/clubs nearby but it is not disruptive. TV did not work the entire time I was there which wasn't a big deal for me but would have been a nice convenience if it worked.
- Derrick (7/5): It was short and the location was the thing that I liked the most - Did not eat breakfast there They did not accept American Express Card payments. It's listed that they do but they don't.
- Janai (8/5): A appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of my room and the helpfulness of the staff. - The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. I especially loved the bed, which was super comfy. I also liked that since the place is so centrally located, I had lots of food options nearby since they don't have a restaurant. The check in process was weird. I sat in the lobby for a while without receiving a clear response from the staff about why I wasn't being checked in.
- Jayde (9/5): Lovely people, comfy room, near to great food and entertainment. - The owner and staff were very helpful and gave extra thoughtful touches like snacks. They were kind and the security on the property was great. No complaints, just don’t ask for laundry service, as it is incredibly expensive. It was $50 USD to wash 3/4 of a suitcase full of clothes.
- Korhonen (9/5): Well located, good option for a few nights’ stay. - Location is good, many restaurants and bars close by. Felt secure. Hot water with good pressure. Staff is very friendly. Wi-Fi worked well. The balcony in the room description is missleading. There was no private balcony but instead an area in the staircase between 2 rooms which looked like a balcony in the pictures.
- Anthony (10/5): Good value hotel off Oxford Street - Very friendly family run hotel a short walk from all the amenities of Oxford Street.
Good WiFi, clean, nice breakfast and good Aircon😁
- Nancy (9/5): My stay was awesome, got free snacks and enjoyed it…. - The Manager and other staff were superb I like everything about it
- Anna (8/5): would always come back. very good place to stay in accra - central, spacious room with kitchen, friendly staff, clean, ac, calm
- Andy (7/5): Good -
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
- Keith (8/5): Would highly recommend! - The staff were fantastic and always ready to help. The guest house is kept very secure and clean. The area is fine to go and have a walk, but there is not much to see nearby. The room was exactly what I was expecting and satisfied my needs to the letter! There is some noise in the area with music that goes on all night and there is lots of construction, but if you have the AC on, you can't hear any of it! Still not that bad.
- Thomas (9/5): Superb -
- Ann (9/5): Comfortable, good value for independent travellers - Very comfortable beds, quiet, strong AC, good pillows and linens. Friendly and very helpful staff and management who helped us arrange or recommended excursions outside Accra. Excellent location for independent travellers…easy walk to many good restaurants and bars, as well as a large Shoprite grocery store. Oxford street is close by but the hotel is a block or two away from the noise. If you prefer a small hotel with the essential comforts at a fair price over an overpriced, impersonal chain, this is a good choice. Not an issue for us but be forewarned that there is no lift/elevator. However, staff are adept at managing the bags. Renovations are underway to add some amenities, including a lift, but the sounds of construction work didn’t disturb us at all….and I’m sensitive to noise.
This isn’t The Ritzz’s fault but there are a few persistent vendors at the corner of Dr. Esther Oloo st and Oxford st. They were the only hawkers that bothered us during our 10 days in Ghana. Vendors elsewhere had the courtesy to cease once you politely made it clear you weren’t interested. I am always polite to vendors etc. I realize they are struggling to make living. But this one guy hounded us a lot, to the point that told him I’d had bad news from home and didn’t want to talk. Still, he wanted to make about him.
- Luisa (8/5): Very good -
- Tuoyo (4/5): I did not enjoy my stay. - the location, the internet service was poor.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - really friendly and helpful staff team, giving recommendations and sorting cabs for us. the team offered us extra snacks which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. the rooms were comfortable and clean! would highly recommend Ritzz as a place to stay if you want to stay in Osu. nothing really! maybe be mindful if you have issues with mobility that there are stairs to most of the rooms and no lift.
- James (8/5): I truly enjoyed my stay. - Location is very good with proximity to several shops and restaurants.
Staff was very cordial and friendly; very helpful and assisted to make my stay enjoyable.
Facilities were functional and accessible (Wi-Fi, water, kitchenette, etc.), and the rooms and the hotel in general were very clean and tidy. I also like the ambience; cool and serene. You need to make the hotel more visible and attractive from the outside; it is very easy to miss the hotel and miss out on the excellent service and comfort it offers.
The hotel probably needs more rooms to accommodate more customers.
- Dr. (8/5): A hotel ideally located in OSU that lives up to European standards - Cleanliness superb, very good location , very friendly staff. Appreciated the water kettle and coffee. Everything was super.
- Karen (10/5): - This is a small, quaint hotel on a street where restaurants and shopping are. It's easily accessible. You will have to take stairs however.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wojciech (10/5): Great place to stay! - This is a very nice guest house in a close proximity to the main street. The staff is very helpful and kind! They helped me out in planning my stay in the city. I was also accommodated in a large and spacious room, with all facilities, which was very comfortable. The breakfast was reach. Everything was clean and very secure. Overall, it was a very good stay that exceeded my expectations! Everything was perfect! There is nothing to complain about.
- Reto (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Gillian (9/5): Clean, comfortable with lovely, friendly staff. - The room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The staff were very helpful and kind. The location is good, close to the airport, and it felt very safe. There are numerous restaurants close by. After traveling around Ghana for 3 weeks it was a great place to stay. Nothing, it was all great.
- Osarumwense Priscilia (10/5): - Everything was great
- Gui (8/5): Very good -
- Kristie (10/5): Best Stay - I don't normally do reviews but this guest house deserves one. The stay was my best accommodation i had so for in Ghana. The staff are more than welcoming. The security guard even washed our car because we had been thru a lot of mud. The best part was we didn't even ask for the wash.
- Rachael (9/5): Superb -
- Lucia (8/5): Accra is an interesting city to visit and it is a welcoming city for foreigners. This hotel is located in a vibrant area - The manager and the staff are very kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Breakfast is good The first room I booked was too small and dark. I would not recommend it. But then I moved to another room which was very good
- Eya Rebecca (8/5): - The staff did a great job
- Obins (8/5): A nice budget stay in the center. - The resort was good but the rooms were too tiny. It would have been nice to have a bit bigger rooms. Otherwise it was a good experience with staff being helpful and it was well located for me.
- John (10/5): - Everything was as good as was advertised on their website. Best hotel stayed at in Accra, so far, out of 3 stays.
- Peter (9/5): Great little place, well situated and so friendly! - Such a friendly hotel, easy to find, off Oxford Street, and cool indoors. Thank you Maxwell and staff for being so helpful A bit too much at breakfast…especially having just arrived in the heat after leaving Scotland!! however it was enjoyable.
- Britta (8/5): Very good - The Guest House is in Osu ,close to Oxford street and this was perfect, for our visit.
The breakfast was fine. The communication with and help from the staff was pefect.
- Frederick (4/5): Disappointing -
- Oliver (8/5): Very good - Perfect for a short stop off in Accra before catching our flight. Great location with clean and comfy rooms. Manager / owner could be kinder to junior members of staff who are doing a great job
- Benjamin (8/5): Very good - Location, staff friendliness, price. Quite some mosquitos in the room and mosquito mosquito net or fan.
- Ben (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (4/5): overpriced - location no parking space for cars, too expensive for room type and ancillaries
- Bode (9/5): Superb - The trip was a birthday getaway for my Husband and I. Everything about our stay was absolutely fabulous - not for once did we feel out of place. The team were warm, welcoming and treated us like royalty.
In fact the Madam Manager went out of her way to surprise me with a mini birthday celebration. The certainly made our stay very memorable.
It was definitely a beautiful and memorable experience through and through.
We found our 'place' in Accra!😊
- Baaba (10/5): Exceptional -
- Orit (9/5): Wonderful Stay in the Heart of Osu/Accra! - The location is perfect and safe, just a few mins walk from Oxford Main Street ie shopping, restaurants and nightlife!
Clean rooms, Built in Safe Box, Excellent Kitchenette with electric kettle, mini fridge, microwave and stovetop, Great A/C and internet . Great Hot Shower, Good breakfast. Doorman is always present, I felt very safe.
Staff was GREAT. Delphina, Veronica and Maxwell are AMAZING - so helpful, friendly and available. They made my stay here so warm and wonderful :)
I highly recommend staying here when in Accra! Loved my stay here but a couple things to note: If you have an issue with stairs, this may be difficult for you as you need to use the stairs, I don't believe there is an elevator.
The listing included airport shuttle as an option- there isn't one...which is fine, I uber'd easily from airport however that should be moved from description.
- Guillaume (8/5): Very good - Great value for money!
- Joana (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (9/5): nice staff with cleanliness also accommodate. - the way the room was designed was superb and the are clean nothing much but always love to lodge in the place where there’s pool
- Imam (10/5): Exceptional - Customer service was on point, thank you. The area was good and the room was nice. The only thing worth mentioning is the lights in the bathroom. They are far too bright that even when your partner wokes up in the middle night to go to toilet and switches on the bathroom light, be sure to wake up
- Katharina (10/5): 2-night stay in Accra - We really enjoyed our stay at this accommodation. It's just off the very busy Oxford Street so while you have everything you need in walking distance, it's not too noisy at night. The staff were extremely lovely and attentive too, they even brought us an afternoon snack to our room when we got home from a long day of sight seeing. Can definitely recommend this for you stay in Accra. Nothing to note here. Everything was great :)
- Merethe (10/5): Nice Guesthouse central in Accra - Clean room, comfortable bed, nice shower with hot water, refrigerator, small kitchen and safe for our valuables. The breakfast was good and the staff was helpful, Upon arrival we received an upgraded room free of charge. The place was also relatively central in Accra.
Important for us were the personal welcome letters to Ghana, written by Mr Mohamed (for a small fee). Without it we would probably not have had our visas, and would not had the chance to vistit Ghana at all. We also received a lot of useful information from him before we left Norway (which is our home country). So a big thanks to you, Mr Mohamed. Nothing. I can highly recommend The Ritzz Exclusive Guest House.
- Collymore (6/5): Ritzz review - The staff are very helpful The neighbourhood is noisy, the breakfast options limited and not the best.
- Kenneth (10/5): An exceptionally comfortable guest house away from the noise of Oxford Street - My wife and I liked many things about this guest house. It was quiet, the noise on Oxford Street is quite loud. The guesthouse is a five minute walk from all that noise. The staff and the manager ware exceptionally helpful. Wi-Fi was reliable. We also had a queen size comfortable bed. no complaints
- henry (8/5): - Small boutique hotel with only four rooms, BUT Nice size rooms nonetheless; hot water in the shower; wifi worked; had several TV channels; comfortable bed; provided some toiletries; great location in Osu walkable to many places; provided a few snacks; great price for value; and best of all the staff and manager were fantastic!!!!
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Ghanaian hospitality at its best - super helpful staff that went beyond and above, especially delphina who made my visit so convenient with help with taxis and so on .The owner was also extraordinarily kind and made my stay a home from home.I have to thank you all for a wonderful stay. nothing
