Guest Reviews
- Candy (2/5): - This was the most horrible place. I ended up not staying there. Don’t go there.
- Stormie (10/5): - Loved
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Front desk staff was very helpful, friendly and kind. Quiet and close to stores for easy access to food and extras.
- Ron (10/5): - Convenient , cozy & comfortable!
- Tiffany (2/5): - This place was rundown and dirty. When we arrived the a/c didn’t work. We didn’t even stay at the hotel.
- David M (2/5): - So dirty
- Deon (10/5): - Even though the property is old itwas clean and quiet. This is the best low cost motel to stay at in San Angelo txp.
- Jon (4/5): - Roaches were everywhere - in shower, on walls, in refrigerator. Even though room was non-smoking, smelled like smoke.
- Corey (8/5): - It was good enough for sleep, there was some construction that woke me tho.
- Rebecca (8/5): - It was the best place I have stayed at in awhile for the money. My only complaint is that they could supply an extra blanket in the room and there were no disposable cups
- Alexis (8/5): - Clean, i apreciated the level of effort and assistance the staff put toward making my stay comfortable. Thank you Anthony and Blanca for your help with getting my room booked, yall where wonderful.
- susan (2/5): - we were supposed to get a non smoking room and it wasnt it smell like a smoke out was in there !!!!!! and it didnt look like the picture they show of rooms
- Brandy (10/5): - Nno
- Diana (8/5): - Everything
- eddiebF547FX (2/5): Pos trash - Crack head maintenance guy stole my kids bikes he better pray I never catch him in public stayed here for over a year only to have to leave alot of my stuff behind with no chance of getting it back without paying another day after paying 350 for over a year ...
- Debra (2/5): - It's very old, outdated, and dirty. There was a big gap all around the door, which I could see outside. The door barely latched, and i didn't feel safe there. Needless to say, I didn't stay.
- Jennifer (2/5): - Don't stay here and this should be removed as a option from Expedia. Unable to block the view to inside room from front window since there was a curtain missing. Homeless sitting outside and the building needs to be renovated. Had someone looking through the window and asking for someone named 'Bobby'. Very disappointed with this stay and hope to prevent someone else from learning this the hard way.
- Benjamin (2/5): - The room was dirty and and in disrepair. The toilet was clogged when I arrived. The bedding didn’t feel very clean. The images online of the room looked nothing like the room I was given. I didn’t feel very safe about the location either.
- Bianca (4/5): Damaged & Disappointing - When we checked I had to pay in cash because the transaction with. Hotel. Com was pending and so they said the room was not paid for . The room we were given had no TV no phone and the toilet wouldn't flush. The fridge didn't work and the management were so rude and not helpful.
- raymond (10/5): - Comfortable bed. Could use another light source. I got my money's worth.
- Adam (10/5): - Very Convenient and nice front desk lady!
- Lily (2/5): - Very old mattress, found some hairs on our pillow case, it was like party grounds, up half the nite worried for my family.
- Giorgi (6/5): - There were flies in the room. But it is "stayable" if you got nowhere else to go.
- Joshua (4/5): - They had no record of booking dates or fee charged so attempted to charge me twice
- Sherron (4/5): - First, they didnt have my reservation. The property was in the middle of renovations, everything was in a mess. The air conditioner was half way hanging out the second story window. They was a pile of debris in our room when we got there. Very disappointing to say the least. I want my money back!!!!!
- Maria (2/5): - They have bed bugs
- Erma (6/5): - The web site advertised that 'for a fee you can schedule an early check-in'. When I asked about this, the desk clerk was not aware of any such service. I consider this false advertisement. Maybe the fault lies with Expedia. I am not happy with Expedia sending me a text in the middle of the night and waking me up.
- Monica (6/5): - I had no tv even mention it to the front desk and they said they had it on the office but never bother to take up to the room but it wasn't that bad I was hardly there
- Shana (6/5): - I guess I booked this property accidentally and wasn't paying attention but you get what you pay for. The room was clean air conditioners worked wonderful but you could use some upgrades. The tenants in the other rooms were sketchy. No amenities the outside could use some cleaning
- Crystal (10/5): - The property was so simple and CLEAN!
- Richard (4/5): - Bathtub dirty- bathroom floor not clean
- Lucinda (6/5): Get another Hotel - Asked for a non-smoking room & the room was impregnated with the smell of smoke. There was an ashtray & cigarette ashes. Low lighting made it scary. Men were sitting in the dark stairwells as we were entering our room. Will find other accommodations.
- Bruce (4/5): Don't stay - Not very satisfied! The cleanliness of the room was terrible. The TV had no signal and it was about a 20 year old CRT TV. I reported the problem of the TV and the bathroom sink drain was stopped up to the front desk. Nothing was done. I reported the problems again to the front desk after diagnosing the TV problem (ripped cable). Finally problems were resolved the day before I left. My stay was for 1 week. Also, Bed was about to fall apart. Very noisy. Aweful experience.
- Joshua (4/5): Just wow - Kinda a cute niche complex like a run down threes company feel but booking online made the cracktastic demeanor fall off and hide the fact the pool was 90% drained and brackish waters finished off the look it was for shure a disappointment to my 9 year old non refundable kept us from relocating there was no remote to the 80's box tv and an industrial generator running outside of the room we inhabited
- Roger (4/5): Inexpensive but attracts loud and shady characters - Front-desk staff friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Loud patrons at late hours, including a couple of drunk guys loudly arguing and cursing in Spanish on the sidewalk below the room, they almost got into a fist fight. A couple shady characters hanging out on balconies scoping people out. Pool was green with algae and couldn't see the bottom.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Clean but scary
- Leonardo (10/5): - The staff at The San Angelo Lodge was very welcoming and very nice! My stay overall was an amazing choice
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't Stay Here - I booked 2 rooms at this place and didn't realize that they needed to pay when they got there. So they called me and the woman (who was VERY rude) wouldn't let me pay over the phone. So we transferred the money to one of our guys cash app account. He went back in to pay and she told him that he couldn't pay for both rooms - that each person had to pay for their own. At that point the guys had had enough and we chose to go to a different hotel.
- Justin (8/5): - It has been a good time and I’m looking forward to coming back
- Samantha (10/5): - Very clean and the bed was comfortable. Just wish the pillows were a little more fluffy. But other then that San Angelo Lodge is a great place to stay.
- Kirby (4/5): - The staff was friendly but, you get what you pay for-the room had an odd smell, there was urine on the toilet seat, the sheets were very stained, and my daughter said she was scared to fall asleep
- Verified traveler (6/5): I’d stay here again! - The staff was great! All else was ok, the room was not very clean, shower curtain was torn. Over all the cleaning was not great but if I was working in the area I’d stay there again.
- SanAngeloDodge (6/5): - House keepers and maintnance very loud before 8am..housekeeping just walks into rooms.walls were fklthy
- Mark (8/5): Nice place despite the looks. - Not a bad place for those on a budget. Big rooms. Very efficient heat and air. Very quiet property centrally located.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property was to close to the rodeo, but the room floor was gritty and the facility as a whole seemed dirty. I spoke to the staff and asked for it to be cleaned and freshened up while I was out. I was assured that they would “take care of it.” They did not
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I liked the decor and layout, I like the furniture and the way it was all out together.. it was unfortunate waking with up to bed bug bites :(;
- Jeremy (6/5): Card Entry Issues - The only problem was with their new Card Entry for room entry. They had been having issues with the New Security Card Entry for guest rooms; transition from old key lock. Needed Main Entry Card to unlock door throughout stay.
- Joseph (8/5): - I like the bed and the pool and the area the people were nice and I like to be able to hear the peaceful ness
- Joseph (10/5): - Very nice layout, quiet, clean and relaxing! Staff was very helpful at check in and it is conveniently located
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Clean and nice staff, however condition of facilities needs upgrading.
- Lino (2/5): - roaches in every room
- Ro (2/5): - The main problem was the room smelt like death there was gum literally on the box tv started itching as I layed on the bed literally left 20 min after febreeze didn’t. Work
- James (8/5): - I can go about whenwere. I was good for the price. That is all I need.
- tmaxwell2018 (6/5): Extended Stay: One Month - I stayed at this motel for one month due to receiving employment in San Angelo and needed a temporary stay until I found an apartment, and it was great in some parts and below average on others. Customer service wise this place is great within my first three nights here, the toilet quit flushing and they were willing to move me to a new room. Lucky enough the maintenance guy came by and fixed it free of charge. The next thing is the pool was really nice and always cleaned out and free of algae. The next best thing was the cleanliness of the room. Every week they would come by and do a complete cleaning of everything in the room and provide fresh towels. (If you wanted the service). The A/C unit worked really great it got really cold, really quick. As far as finding any roaches or any other insects I never found any. I stayed in a Non-Smoking room and there was never the slightest smell of smoke. Now onto my complaints..the mattress was UNBEARABLE....most nights I would have been better off sleeping on the tile floor. If you love a firm mattress this is the place for you though. Some days I would wake up and have a crick in my neck from how hard the mattress is. My next biggest complaint was the shower. The tub/shower setup had three knobs and you turned the center knob to make the water go to the shower head and the water pressure was awful. I had to stand about 6 inches away from the shower head and it barely ever put out enough pressure to wash any dirt off if you got any kind of dirty from work or anything. The internet was adequate to say the least. Sometimes it would work great for Netflix, other days it wouldn’t even load emails. The TV Package that came with the TV was pretty expansive but did not have locals? The local channels were usually fuzzy and never came in very well. The people that lived around seemed well mannered as well I never heard any excessive sound come from their rooms. Overall my stay here was average it’s a great place for a temporary stay in my opinion.
