• JRG14 (10/5): Pool was clean and it was a reasonable walk to Guayabitos or La Penita . - The onsite , off the menu restaurant was exceptional. Chef did a fabulous job. The free fruit popsicles at the end of the meal were a real nice touch! Staff were helpful and friendly. Front desk ladies were the stars, ( Coral & Analie). Everything’s was great. The hotel could benefit from having a microwave at the free coffee station stand. Or in each room if possible
• Destiny (1/5): I left a day early due to treatment from the staff. - I liked how nice the room I rented was. The staff were awful. The staff, treatment of myself and my guest were absolutely terrible. Since I left I realized I forgot 2 shirts, both of which were special to me and were hung up in the closet with care. They said I left nothing and each time I call, I am hung up on. The staff tell me someone who speaks English is coming, and each time I call, hung up on again.

The pool area was fabulous and relaxing. The walk to the beach and to town was close and easily navigable. Recommend this hotel and the restaurant had a good breakfast

It was a quiet hotel as there were most couples there. The mattress covers have a plastic layer they makes them hot. The toilet seat makes a lot of noise. The street out front needs some work, as do many streets here.

No limpian los cuartos de forma adecuada , si entran al cuarto y las camas "tienen algún objeto sobre ellas no las tienden que "para evitar malos entendidos ", los colchones están forrados con plástico ( de muy mal gusto ). Reservé ahí porque supuestamente tenía alberca climatizada , lo cual es falso. Llevaba una niña y solo un día de 8 pudo entrar a la alberca. Además tienen un restaurante el cual es carísimo para lo que ofrecen... Cada plato que pides , así sea un limón debe ser autorizado por el dueño del restaurante, un tipo que se hace llamar " la patrona " el cual nunca está . Jamás reservaría ahí de nuevo .

• Alicia (4/5): - The hotel is nice, but the surrounding area it’s residential dirty, noisy and it’s still under development. The price it’s too high for what it offers. I would not recommend this location.

• Jaime (7/5): Great town to visit, close to beach and everything you need - Beds very firm, pillows very lumpy even when we asked for a new one. No music at all allowed outside for guests but staff play their music without headphones while they clean. Other local guests were very messy for a whole weekend and we had to ask the front desk to clean up the pool area. Pool is lovely. Gets lots of sun. Some room toilets have low water pressure and struggle to flush even without tp going in. I was surprised at how quiet the hotel is (depending on children around). No noise from the town such as roosters or dogs or vehicles.

We loved the pool and that it is a small hotel. We liked that it was not too hectic with people. The restaurant on site is excellent - very good food and friendly accommodating staff. We made a last minute request for a bagged lunch and they put it together very quickly.

Comfortable room, although the bed were a bit outdated and could use a new duvet . It's also fairly close by the beach. New bed covers and a deep clean of the seats by the bed would be good.
• Alejandro (9/5): Nice hotel, pity about the location (the street it is on) - Very nice hotel and staff. The pool though is small is quite relaxing to sit at during the morning and midday when the sun is at its highest. Not a fault from the hotel, but the street was so damage getting to and from the hotel felt like our car was going to be destroyed. Also it is quite far away from the restaurants and it is not so nice to come back at night. The bar was never opened while we were there and the restarurant at the hotel closed at 15:00 (so good luck getting dinner if you did not come by car). Also there are 4 german shepherds loitering in the same street. Neither friendly or aggressive but they defnitely intimidate.

It is a short walk to the beach, short walk to shopping, and on Thursdays it is market day in La Penita, and the market is only a short 1/2 block from the Luxury Inn. The inn is in great condition, beds are comfortable. The staff is accommodating and pleasant. Good wifi and good size pool. The restaurant serves excellent food. Fresh ground coffee is very nice. Just remember La Penita is more old Mexico with cobble and dirt roads, but the people are great, the food at the taco stands is safe and enjoyable... Head down the street to Avante's for prime rib or lamb shank, but make sure to reserve your table in advance.

Quite quiet with interior courtyard with lots of fresh air and good sunshine. Better patio chairs that are not wobbly and facecloths in the rooms are our minor quibbles. Central location is excellent with east access to beach, good restaurants, super minis and Guaybitos. We loved the nearby local foods available. Would definitely book again!

• James (6/5): - The hotel was nice and kept very clean. The staff was friendly. There were a lot of problems with the wi-fi. There were no glasses or bottles of water in the room, and no soap or shampoo. The pillows were way too old, hard, and lumpy. I asked for a softer pillow and was told by the cleaning staff that there weren't any without even looking in a vacant room. The mattresses are very cheap and hard. This is definitely not a "luxury" hotel although it's probably better than the majority by the looks of most of them.

Our room location was less than desirable and we did not appreciate the jackhammerring right above us, at 7 am. We also had trouble accessing the WiFi

• brenda (10/5): - Fue mi primera vez visitando la peñita de jaltemba, reserve mediante Expedia y resultó fantástico, todo muy bien desde las camaristas, hasta los recepcionistas la gente del restaurante sin duda alguna volvería a ese lugar muy recomendado, cuartos muy bien super limpios y con lo básico para no querer salir del hotel, su alberca que tiene un toque salado primera en su existencia que veo me super encantó el hotel

The cleanliness of our room was amazing, with daily housekeeping. We ate downstairs and the food was very good. When we needed to move around, the front desk would call a cab for us so we felt safe. Overall a great experience and would definitely stay again.

This year problems: - Sink not draining at all - toilet wouldn’t flush unless I filled up a trashcan from the shower -shower… No hot water. - Wi-Fi night provided at check-in… Had to chase that down
