• Denis (10/5): I wish we could have stayed longer. - This is the second time we’ve stayed at this beautiful Hanok which is built around a lovely garden. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The owners are very kind and helpful.
• Joris (9/5): Toplocatie en erg vriendelijke, behulpzame host. - Erg vriendelijke host en een goede locatie, net aan de rand van de Hanok-wijk, waar alles op loopafstand is. De host geeft goede tips voor restaurants en helpt je met het boeken van openbaar vervoertickets. Het bed is erg zacht en er is lichte schimmel in de badkamer.

• Clare (10/5): - Complete home away from home. Staying in a Hanok when visiting Jeon-ju is an experience on it's own, the rooms are very traditional but with added modern comforts like AC and a more modern bathroom. The sleeping mats, pillows and duvet are in a cupboard for you to roll out yourself when ready. Location is just minutes from the main Hanok Village with lots of cafes and restaurants, small walk across bridge with more modern convenience stores. 119 Bus takes you to the main station in about 20 minutes. The hosts are really what made the experience though, checking we knew how to get to our train when we checked out, taking our luggage, if we had eaten etc. When we spent an hour or so one afternoon sitting outside our room we received Korean Melon from our host and on check out we received handmade gifts. It was really so kind and made us feel so well looked after. We are so grateful for our time here and would highly recommend. Nil!
• Brigitte (7/5): Séjour où nous avons adoré découvrir les 3 monastères de Tapsa Enusa et geumdamsa - La propriétaire était vraiment très accueillante. La description de la chambre correspond à la réalité. Cependant celle-ci reste sommaire. Le lit était confortable. La difficulté pour se garer (c’était un week end d’affluence), pas d’endroit où se reposer fauteuil, chaise ou autre, peu d’isolation entre les différentes chambres.

• Bauwens (10/5): Peaceful and welcoming hanok stay! - Wonderful hanok stay in a peaceful part of Jeonju. The owner is super friendly and welcoming and gave us tons of recommendations for food and sightseeing around the neighbourhood. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and the view out into the garden was so peaceful, it was fun to just sit there and watch the night fall! We needed some help to set up the futon but the owner was more than happy to oblige. I would definitely recommend this stay!

The property is set in an idyllic location, right across from a scenic river and charming bridge, which added to its tranquil and picturesque atmosphere. The hanok itself felt incredibly homey and comfortable, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The hosts were exceptionally kind and genuinely welcoming, always eager to offer helpful recommendations about the area. They went out of their way to assist us, even waking up early to help book a cab for our departure. Traveling with my teenage daughter, we both felt very welcome and completely safe throughout our stay. I highly recommend Hanok Madang to anyone visiting Jeonju for a memorable and heartwarming experience.

• Ada (10/5): Hanok stupendo - La signora che gestiva la struttura è molto disponibile e accogliente. Ci ha aiutato anche con il transfer nella città successiva che avremmo visitato e ci ha consigliato posti in cui mangiare. La camera era bellissima e pulita. Il cortile un luogo di pace. Posizione ottima: su una stradina silenziosa e in pochi passi sei comunque nella zona con negozi e bancarelle.

• Eeeeeeeeeeee (10/5): - Location is great, right by the stream and inside the hanok village. Hosts are so sweet with many local recommendations and even helped us book a stamp making class. Room is clean and comfortable, and water pressure is great in shower. The walls are thin so if neighbours are noisy, it can be disruptive. There are quiet hours and we found it was only an issue for one night of our stay.

The gentlemen showed us a map upon arrival and gave us the recomeended sightseeings and restaurants. The lady host also offered a help to call taxi to the station. The guest house is cute with a small beautiful garden. The rooms are small, but that's expected for staying in a hanok house. Overall it's a very pleasant stay to experience the local way of living. Nothing, except that the 2 double beds are a bit too small for 2 adults and 2 teenagers., so one of us had to sleep on a futon bed which is not comfortable as we are not used to it.

• Malte (10/5): Toller Aufenthalt in Jeonju, großartige Unterkunft mit schönen Cafés ums Eck. Sehr zu empfehlen! - Die Unterkunft ist sehr ruhig und schön, aber dennoch zentral gelegen. Das Hanok war geräumig, gemütlich und sehr sauber. Im Schrank liegen genügend Schlafunterlagen, sodass wir sehr weich und bequem gelegen haben. Es gibt einen kleinen und sehr schönen Garten mit Kaffeeecke, in dem man sitzen kann. Die Gastgeberin war überaus freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit und empfahl uns Cafés und Restaurants. Es war unser erstes Mal in einem Hanok und unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Herzlichen Dank! Die vorhandenen Handtücher waren recht klein und ein paar mehr Haken im Bad wären super. Da es aber mehrere Handtücher gab, war das kein Problem.

Die Gastgeber waren unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben sich wirklich gut um alles gekümmert, Tipps geben und das Taxi organisiert. Die Unterkunft selbst ist total gemütlich, und der Garten sowie die ganze Umgebung sind wunderschön und sehr entspannend. Ein richtig schöner Ort, um Jeonju zu erleben.

The owners were the sweetest people I have met, they helped us with everything we wanted to do and gave us great recommendations! Highly recommend to stay here if you want an authentic korean experience!
• Cheng Siew (7/5): A good hanok but for a short stay - It is quaint and very affordable and a very homey feel! The owners are very nice and moved their car to allow us to park our car. She also provided us with some fried eggs and strawberries for b/f. A tip: don’t need a car if staying with them as most places are walkable. Err, the facilities were rather basic. Only reason I booked was due to the bed as most hanoks only provide futons.

• Aleya (10/5): Warm and Cozy - The owners were very kind and the place was very cozy. It was a great location and a beautiful house. My friends and I had a great time. We booked the ondol room which had a bed, so two of us shared the bed and the other slept on the floor with traditional hanok bedding. The heated floor was lovely. The guests in the room next to us didn't respect the quiet hours and the hanok walls were thin, so we had a hard time sleeping when they were being noisy. But we slept well after they left and the owners did their best to improve the situation.
• Larissa (10/5): Um sonho realizado - O Hanok é perfeito, tivemos uma experiência local maravilhosa. A dona do Hanok está sempre lá disponível para nos ajudar. Foi super gentil e ficamos muito felizes em conhecê-la. Ela nos ajudou com tudo, usando aplicativo de tradução para nos entendermos melhor, explicou a região, os restaurantes ao redor, nos deu mapa, garrafas de água diariamente e até calculou o horário correto que deveríamos voltar para a estação no último dia para estar no bom horário para o trem, até mesmo chamando o taxi e nos acompanhou até entrarmos no carro. Consideramos o Hanok dela o mais lindo da vila, as fotos ficam lindas de qualquer ângulo e parece que estamos dentro de uma série ou um filme. Vale super a pena se hospedar lá.

• Rosita (10/5): Herausragender Aufenthalt in wunderschönem traditionellen Haus - Das Hanok Madang ist ein wunderschönes traditionelles Haus, das ruhig am Rande des Hanok Dorfes liegt. Das Hanok Dorf selbst lässt sich von dort aus wunderbar erkunden. Auch die weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten Jeonjus sind fußläufig erreichbar. Der Jeonju Stream mit seinen Wander- und Radwegen liegt qasi gegenüber, weniger als eine Minute zu Fuß entfernt. Mein Zimmer war klein, aber gemütlich und alles war sehr sauber. In der Unterkunft wird kein Frühstück angeboten. Jedoch bieten zahlreiche Cafés quasi um die Ecke Frühstück oder sogar Brunch an. Die Gastgeberin ist eine 'Seele von Mensch'. Sie hat mir Tipps zu Sights, Cafés und Restaurants gegeben, und war auch sonst sehr hilfsbereit. Sie hat mir sogar nachts noch geholfen, einen Bus für den nächsten Tag nach Seoul zu buchen. Ich habe mich in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt, wie bei Familie oder Freunden, und würde jederzeit wieder dort übernachten.

We said we were having trouble getting bus tickets to our next destination and she booked them on her phone for us and made sure we were comfortable. The hanok is really cozy and a wonderful homestay experience. The heated smooth floor was really great to experience. Good location too, could walk to everything we wanted to see.

• Christine (10/5): - Very nice stay in this Hanok. The host is very attentive and goes out of her way to make everybody welcome. She also helped with restaurant recommendations, called me a taxi and even sent a forgotten credit card to my next location! The room is well equipped with everything you need and the ondol makes for a comfy and warm stay even on chilly nights. The courtyard is beautiful and diligently maintained by the host's husband. My fellow guests were also nice and everybody respected the quiet times (which are important since the doors by the nature of hanok buildings are literal sheets of paper)

• Elodie (9/5): L’expérience hanok avec sourire et humilité - L’accueil et la gentillesse des hôtes est le meilleur souvenir qu’on ait eu de Jeonju. L’expérience de dormir dans un hanok est réussie. Peut-être le manque d’espace de la salle de bain et de la chambre. Le wifi n’était pas stable et il y avait peu de prise de courant.

Además la habitación cómoda, tiene todo lo que necesitas. Dormimos tres personas, cada uno con su futón, muy bien, y la ubicación es perfecta. La señora que dirige el negocio es súper súper amable, lo mejor del alojamiento. Nos hizo buenas recomendaciones de comida, café, nos ofreció pedirnos el taxi. Y sobre todo, lo disponible y amable en todo momento, tuvimos varias charlas muy agradables con ella. Se nota que le encanta lo que hace 🖤 Todo súper bien

Joli Hanok avec un jardin reposant. Il n'y avait que des petites serviettes, quelques grandes seraient mieux.
• SophiaTherese (9/5): Charmant Wohnen in Jeonju - Ein wunderschönes Hanok mit herrlichem Garten als Ruhepol mitten im touristischen Viertel. Und die Gastgeberin ist unheimlich charmant und hilfsbereit. An die Bettdecken und das koreanische Bad muss man sich gewöhnen, aber darauf kann man sich ja einrichten.

• Nil (10/5): - Los anfitriones son una pareja muy entrañable, simpáticos y atentos. Nos recomendaron varios lugares para visitar y comer en Jeonju. Incluso nos hicieron el favor de sacar nuestros billetes de tren para el dia siguiente. Finalmente tuvieron el detalle de hacernos un obsequio muy bonito. Mejoraria la ventilacion de los baños, ya que en nuestra habitacion olia muy fuerte.

• Wiktoria (9/5): Beautiful house and host - The house is beautiful and has amazing vibe also the garden. The owners are really friendly and they want to help if you have any questions - about map or anything else. The smell in the house is great - you don’t have to be worried about that “old smell”. You need to be really quiet here - but I can understand it.

La signora che gestisce la struttura è molto simpatica, anche se non parla inglese riesce a comunicare alla perfezione con tutti e si vede che ci tiene che i suoi ospiti passino un bel soggiorno. Ci ha consigliato molti posti da visitare e in cui mangiare ed è stata sempre super disponibile

Die Lage ist super, am Rande des Hanok Village, also alles gut zu erreichen. Die Matratze war wirklich unbequem, es stachen richtig die Federn heraus.

Ma il pro vero e proprio è stata l accoglienza della signora che pur non parlando inglese ha provato ad aiutarci in tutti i modi e ha avuto delle attenzioni graditissime . Consiglio vivamente Unico dubbio è stato sulla camera prenotata per 4 persone ci aspettavamo di dormire su futon tutti e 4 invece abbiamo trovato un letto matrimoniale e due futon singoli. Però nessun problema

• Daniel (9/5): Recomendable 100% - La propietaria es un encanto, nos recomendó un restaurante para comer que fue uno de los mejores de nuestro viaje por Corea, también nos llamó un taxi para ir a la estación. La ubicación es perfecta para recorrer el pueblo sin problema. La casa en preciosa con las habitaciones alrededor de un precioso jardín No había toallas grandes y solo pequeñas, quizás debimos pedirlas a la señora pero ya era tarde cuando nos duchamos y nos apañamos con las pequeñas.
• Robert (9/5): - Beautiful traditional hanok with really friendly and helpful owner who gave lots of great advice and recommendations. Loved staying here. 2nd night could hear another TV until very late. Not a huge issue but earplugs might be a good choice.

• Janire (9/5): Un bonito alojamiento - Es una casa muy bonita y apacible. Está al lado del río en el extremo de la zona tradicional pero se agradece la tranquilidad. La anfitriona fue simpática y la habitación, aunque bastante pequeña, es funcional. Nosotros escogimos habitación con colchón y resultó cómoda. Me hubiese gustado poder tomar un café por la mañana. nada en particular
• Delphine (10/5): Le style Hanok, le calme et l’accueil adorable - L’emplacement est top pour se promener à pied et nous avons pu garer la voiture juste devant la petite impasse où se trouve au calme le Hanok. L’endroit est reposant et la chambre est légèrement décorée avec goût. La salle de bain est parfaite et la douche agréable. Pour le matelas c’est effectivement un peu dur si nous ne sommes pas habitués mais c’est une expérience qui fait partie du voyage. Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre nuit ici. L’accueil a été parfait, la propriétaire est adorable, au petit soin et vraiment disponible. Un souvenir très agréable de notre séjour ! Merci

Host was very friendly and helpful, giving us many tips on area locations. She also helped to retrieve and mail something left behind by one of our travelers. Excellent stay!
