Guest Reviews
- Happy-Go-Lica (10/5): A relaxing countryside stay with the loveliest hosts! - Having travelled all over Thailand for 40 days, myself and my partner both agree that this was our favourite stay of the whole trip.
The staff here are wonderful. Despite not being able to speak English, we uses Google translate to converse and they were all super helpful and accommodating with any questions we had. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and at home.
We loved the breakfast here - there was lots of variety, with daily staples like sausage, toast, eggs, coffee and juice being coupled with Asian dishes like chicken rice and congee. All delicious and fresh.
Our room was super clean and large, with a lovely balcony overlooking the property too. The fridge was ideal to keep the bottled water provided cold, and you are also given toiletries (soap, shower cap etc) daily.
I’ve seen some reviews say that there is nothing to do here/ it’s hard to get around but I do not agree. It’s a 20 minute walk to the floating market or a 5 minute tuk-tuk ride (you can ask for one to be called for you). There is also a songthaew bus stop in Amphawa which can take you to Maeklong Railway Market for 10 baht.
Also if you wander around the local area on foot you will find some incredibly beautiful cafes scattered about. There is also a 7 Eleven for snacks etc.
Finally, the restaurant literally outside of the hotel gates is so good and affordable. You won’t need to go far to eat well!
- Ajward93 (10/5): One of the highlights of our stay in Thailand - Quite simply one of the highlights of our stay in Thailand.
Firstly the room was large, had a very comfy bed, decent size fridge & plenty of seating. The bathroom was modern, clean and restocked everyday with shampoo, shower gel, towels etc. We were on the second floor and the large balcony was wonderful. We sat outside most evenings. The room was incredibly clean.
The free breakfast was significant & full of variety. Not only was there coffee, juices, toast and jams, meats, salads & egg. But each morning we were also treated to home cooked specials including congee & chicken rice. All delicious.
Breakfast is taken alongside the river which sits on the edge of the property. A really beautiful spot.
In terms of location Amphawa floating market is just a 5 minute tuk tuk away from the property. It’s also walkable in around 20 minutes.
In the other direction can be found a seven eleven, numerous riverside coffee shops & restaurants. There’s also several temples nearby.
The maeklong railway market can be reached from the resort by tuk tuk in around 20 minutes. Alternatively you can take a Songthaew from Amphawa.
A superb & very reasonably priced eatery can be found just outside of the resort’s main gate. Guests (including us) seemed to eat there most nights.
Our hosts were wonderful and so kind. They even did our washing for us free of charge! It was such a pleasure to spend time at the resort.
In fact the entire town was filled with some of the friendliest people we’ve ever met. I would highly recommend walking around the local area and seeing what you can find.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is a small hotel, very well maintained and operated, 4 minutesdrive from the floating market.
- okiesooner09 (8/5): Nice place to stay but isolated - We had a delightful stay. The grounds are beautiful and the service was very good. The staff didn't speak any English. Thank goodness for Google Translator. They served a nice breakfast in a spacious dining room. Our room had a patio area with chairs that overlooked the grounds. For us the biggest drawback was the location. Other than a small restaurant there's nothing nearby. We selected this hotel because Hotels.com said it was .3 miles from the floating market. The floating market was over a mile away.
- Tivaporn (10/5): Great - Nice place. FRIENDLY OWNER,.
- Mukky (8/5): Peaceful place, warm hospitality staff - Triple room was spacious and we feel comfort here. The beds were not too soft so that we slept very well. Shower room is large enough to hang the towels/clothes safely (no need to worry about splash). Staff were very helpful and so kind. We had delicious breakfast for example wonton soup and iced chocolate drink.
- AtheistFrosty (6/5): Home Stay - We chose to stay at this place during Thailand New Year Holiday (Songkran) booked on very last minute, a family room. We were given room 113 which was at the corner so there was no view from the front but the canal view at the back. Room was large with proper king bed and one single bed for three people. This place should be called a home stay rather than a boutique resort as there is no other facility apart from the accommodation and breakfast room. Breakfast was basic with yummy pork boiled rice and toast with jam. Room rate over weekend and long holiday was obviously overpriced for what it was. Staff was generally friendly. There is parking space in front of the place in their garden. You will need a car to get around, approximately 5 minutes drive to famous floating Amphawa Floating market. Upon check out we asked for the receipt, they said they did not have any and could not produce one for us. So we asked them to send it by post mail, we will see if they can manage to send us in a couple of days as promised.

- mikemurray2009 (8/5): A little down the road from the Floating Market - Great little boutique hotel. Basic rooms that are clean and well maintained. Breakfast is included but is basic. Very inexpensive and great value for the room. Clean, quiet, well maintained and has been a hotel I have stayed at multiple times.
