Guest Reviews
- Kangara (7/5): Generally every thing was okay - Location was fine Attitude of the staff i don't work there its them if im not understanding something make understand, staff need to be patient and helpful
- Ash (9/5): Fine for what I needed - Decent size room. Was clean and comfortable. Was only given a towel. Needed a shower matt / towel for the floor as the tiles were very slippery when wet. Also needed the WIFI details in the room rather than at reception.

- Ayodele (8/5): - Everything

- Rob (10/5): Perfect, and well placed for Rochester - I stayed here before, approximately 6 years ago, and was delighted to be allocated the same ground floor room on this visit. It's a warm & clean hotel with comfortable beds and a great shower.
Strood is handy for Rochester too, being a short walk across the bridge.
Free on-site parking is a bonus too.
Very friendly and helpful host too, which always makes the experience better. Nothing. Perfect for my needs during a one night stay.

- Thomas (8/5): - I booked this hotel for a one night stay. Then I read the reviews and wondered if I’d made a bad mistake. However, I can honestly say that we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was quiet, clean and we were treated very well. Excellent value for money.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Im a great believer you get what you pay for .... so considering the room price my expectations werent high but i was pleasantly surprised had a lovely sleep, woke refreshed, room clean as was bathroom, staff pleasant would recommend to anyone
- Amy (2/5): - 2 men decided to burst into the room. A woman alone in the room and they burst in there shouting, screaming and aggressive, they then blocked the door that is open 24/7. Extremely unsafe and frightening experience. The emergency phone numbers to contact staff there are not used as they don’t pick up the calls. This hotel should be shut down!

- Jacob (6/5): Nice place for a short stay. - The staff were polite and clearly cared about providing a good stay. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The room also stayed quite cool despite it being an extremely hot day. The lighting in the bedroom was not great, it was quite dark even with all the lights on, and there was a large stain on the ceiling which looked like it was probably caused by a leak, but had not been redecorated after the leak had been repaired.
- Carl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Parvinder (1/5): Bad -
- Jay (1/5): staff were dispicable i was told to get out they have 18 months booked anyway !!!! - i was locked in then locked out fire exit was blocked and locked too no staff at night owner smoked weed the place smelt of it bad by the office area drinks were charged when i didnt have ammenities in room

- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff, easy check in. Clean well presented room. Very good value. The only slight issue was the door stop in the bathroom. Poorly positioned and likely to cause foot injury.

- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly couldn't do enough to help and accommodate
- Steve (8/5): Very good value for money, short walk from Rochester High Street - Convenient, free car parking. Great value Mostly good, but breakfast was “continental “ rather than cooked and served up in the bedroom
- Reannah (1/5): Refused stay so. Pretty bad - He came to the desk in his pyjamas. He was aggressive and extremely rude. I’ve never experienced this kind of behaviour at any hotel in any country. Such a bad experience. I’ve stayed at another local hotel which was the complete opposite. I’d never book this place again.

No explanation was given just did not want us there. Very rude and cost us more to find another hotel. Would not book this property ever again. Being allowed to stay

- Alice (8/5): very convenient for working locally - ease of car parking, nice dining area, comfy bed breakfast - less sweet, more savoury items
- Mills (2/5): Don't bother, your too much hassle for owner. - Nicely presented rooms. Very rude owner
Sings loudly at night, slams doors and has tv very loud up to 230am when he knows everyone up early (was in room above theirs).
Can't be bothered to speak to you apart from to demand payment
3 parking spaces but 10 rooms. couldn't be bothered to answer my query on it and told me to park in a business carpark opposite and leave before 7am when asked.
Told me off for asking about something early in morning as he didn't need to be up.
Guy should seek alternative non customer facing business.

- Nicole (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (6/5): Pleasant - The price was cheap Bed was very hard
- Pheobe (7/5): Good - It was big and cozy .
- Lee (4/5): A place to sleep - Need to clean more ,shower was dirty ,window seals dirty with dust and dead flys cob web on lights ..when you walked in it smells of curry
- JENNY (6/5): Very poor customer service - Cannot fault the room or facilities, which were modern and very clean.
However my immediate experience was being told off for my coat dripping on the floor (it was absolutely tipping it down outside, so hardly my fault).
I was then informed I had reacted badly to this and did not have to stay at the hotel!!

I am a teacher who just moved to Rochester from the USA, and I rented a room for a week while getting my housing sorted. I arrived at 10:30 PM, only for the owner to tell me it was too late to check in, despite booking online via Booking.com. He hadn’t done the registration, so he YELLED at me and kicked me out, locking the door behind him. I had to call Booking.com, and after a 45-minute wait on hold, they got him to open the door at 12:08 AM. He continued yelling for "disturbing his sleep." Keep in mind, I had to be at work by 8 AM.
Once inside the room, I found no toilet paper, soap, or toothpaste. The toilet seat was in terrible condition. The next morning, at 6:45 AM, I rang the bell to ask for an iron, and the owner angrily shouted at me not to bother him before 10 AM, saying it was “his policy.” He then demanded I vacate the hotel after I had already paid for the week! I wish I were kidding.
Please avoid this place like the plague. If you need a place to stay, you’d be better off sleeping on the streets. He literally kicked me out before I could finish packing my bags and demanded the keys before I even left. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!
- Jeremy (7/5): cheap /clean /quiet - basic and clean , convenient for 1 or 2 night stay off beaten track from town , but quiet. parking may be an issue if front spaces full
- Deanne (7/5): Clean and comfortable . - A clean, quiet room away from the road, so we had a very good night's sleep. The fridge in the room was very useful. Unfortunately, our milk cartons were out of date, so our tea was lumpy. We bought our own instead and kept in the fridge. The kettle was still half full from previous occupant. You're given your breakfast the night before in a basket, which is unusual. No cooked breakfast or cereal. Fruit and croissants in packets instead. Unfortunately, again, our croissants were out of date, and we had green bananas, we took these away with us .we ate our apples and oranges and other pastries but had no idea if these were in date as nothing on packaging. You get a capri sun to drink. Haven't had one of those since I was a child.
The decor was a little tired .water damaged furniture and our quilt had a burn hole in it. As a business, always check best before dates regarding food products before giving them to a guest this is really basic stuff.
- Ian (2/5): - Sink plug u.s cracked mirror in word robe dirty net curtains, smell of Asian food on entry
- Ogbene (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (7/5): Good for an overnight stay. - Clean. Good sized room and comfortable bed. Polite and helpful staff. Furniture a bit tired.
We were phoned twice about our arrival time even though the details clearly stated the good reception is open until midnight.
- Gwynn (9/5): great stay - great room, good parking , good food.
- Miltjan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tim (6/5): Pleasant - Cheap and close to where we needed. Limited parking, no breakfast option, only saw one staff member.
