• Daisy (10/5): - Breakfast was decent - not outstanding but well up to European standards. Only disappointment was fairly rubbish coffee (particularly by Italian standards) - Nescafé machine again the culprit. Spotlessly clean and newly refurbished on my floor. Initial issues with faulty room key (door mechanism as it turned out) which took 3 attempts to solve but otherwise faultless service. Tiny bit noisy in the mornings which was surprising for a top floor room.

• christopher (8/5): Hotel des Lys - Hotel is in a great location 15 mins from the palace of Versailles and so many restaurants just around the corner by the market. Easy to get into Paris train station 5mins away. The reception desk staff were great and printed the trains we need to get to the Eiffel Tower as a direct train was not running that week.

Mais personnels de jours vraiment très bien, chambres propre et confortable.
• Matthew (6/5): - Great location. Efficient service but not particularly friendly. Very transactional. Advertise car park yet no instructions on how to get into it, and it was locked! Arriving by car in a foreign, new town, this stuff should be really well communicated to make arrival as easy as possible.
• John (10/5): Great Hotel, near everything - The Hotel is located just off the beaten path, still close to everything including the palace. Had a great stay, would definitely go back to this hotel, if visiting Versailles.
• Fran (8/5): Disappointing facilities - The booking said satellite and cable TV, but it turned out this was only available in French. Also, no kettle or tea/coffee available as promised in the booking, unless you pay for it at the bar.
• Andrew (8/5): - Good location to visit Palace of Versailles, plus a wide choice of resturauants around the market area of Rue de la Paroisse. The hotel is on a quite street with all the usual facilities, including an exellent buffet breakfast to offer. Only downside is the small car park at the back, although we arrived early and a member of staff was really helpful in organising a space for us which seemed to be the last one, so probably best to visit by train if possibe. Otherwise all good.
• David (8/5): Reasonable and convenient for an overnight stay - This is a very reasonable and convenient hotel for an overnight stay in Versailles.. I arrived early, so my room was not ready yet. Very understandable. They my bag as I went and got lunch. The staff was very accommodating and put up with my bad French! The room was cosy, perfect for one person. The hotel was also very quiet. I did not hear any noise from other rooms. The air conditioning was also adequate.
• Aldo (8/5): - Rooms are small but clean. Walking distance to everything around Versailles. Only complaint is that the sink and toilet about touch so it’s tight sitting down.

• thomas (10/5): - The service, reception staff was the best I recall in decades of travel. Attentive, polite and helpful with some adjustments we will return here and happy to share this report. Great neighborhood as well with a garden across the street. As a result of very very poor Expedia experience with our Paris accomodation in future we will book in Versailles and arrange transport to Paris as may be necessary.

• Martin (8/5): Kurzaufenthalt - Die Unterkunft war ideal für einen Kurzbesuch in Versailles und Paris. Das Zimmer war sauber, die Betten bequem. Das Frühstücksbuffet war übersichtlich und appetitlich angerichtet. Das Personal am Empfang war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist optimal um den Bahnhof und das Schloss Versailles zu Fuss zu erreichen.

• Lou (8/5): A good nights stay before Versailles - We needed a decent room for the night to explore Versailles and this hotel was perfect for that purpose. Small quiet room with decent beds... a good nights sleep. Walking distance to everything with parking on site... and they let us leave the rental car in the parking lot until the afternoon so we had lot's of time to explore the palace in the morning before heading to our next destination. Great staff, great breakfast.

J’éviterai de revenir en cette saison car J’ai eu froid. Pour le sèche cheveux, utilisation bien difficile pour les personnes qui ont de l’arthrose. Petit déjeuner très bien.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Solo trip. This is a lovely place and the staff are friendly and professional. The only suggestion is that 1 morning I went down to have the buffet at 10:15 and the buffet is supposed to go on till 10:30. But when I got there, they had already put everything away because they assumed that everyone had eaten and that nobody else was going to be coming down to eat. I was very Disappointed at that. But the hotel is in a great location.It's within walking distance of everything and it is a nice place to stay.

They have been incredibly helpful with everything and especially with directions to the many points of interest in Versailles. My room is charming, immaculately clean and very quiet. The entire property looks new and is very well cared for. The hotel feels like it’s in the middle of everything in Versailles and is walkable to all you’d want to see and do in Versailles—shops, restaurants and historical sights.

Beautiful, clean and quiet rooms with newly renovated bathrooms, safe and convenient parking at the property and a very friendly staff made out stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend it. Getting to Paris is very convenient and a 15min walk to the C-line train. Visiting the castle an easy 10min walk. Cute little cafes and restaurants all in close proximity to the hotel. A perfect find in Versailles and I would definitely come back again.

• Robert (10/5): - Excellent location, an easy 20 minute walk to the Palace of Versailles and a few minutes from the RER L train station. Room was clean and with all usual facilities. Breakfast quite sufficient. Staff friendly and helpful. Despite having a 24-hour reception, the confirmation email said checkin stops at midnight and you have to call for late arrivals after 8pm - but when I called, the staff didn't seem to know anything about this, they stated that reception was open 24 hours.

The staff was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, they gave us the room behind the Elevator and it was noisy until midnight. The walk to Versailles is 15 minutes, there are many restaurant options around the hotel.

• Deborah (8/5): - The reception team was very friendly, and fortunate for us, spoke excellent English to our weaker French. We were given a disabled room, which while a bit larger, lacked storage. The shower had no curtain, so we had to wipe down the toilet and mop the bathroom floor after each shower. Suggest providing extra bath mats for this room. One of us could not connect with the hotel's WiFi on an iPhone 13. This was a significant inconvenience.

Room was very clean an up-to-date. Breakfast was great with lots of options, including fresh sliced fruit and warm bread. Would definitely stay again!
• Bradley (10/5): Lovely stay in Versailles - I stayed 3-nights, had one full day visiting the Chateau de Versailles seeing an opera there in the evening. Took a day trip into central Paris the following day. The Chateau and train station are close by. I had a compact single room with nice size bed and good walk in shower. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is a lively square full of restaurants just around the corner.

• David (6/5): Needs Improvement - Check-in was ok, but the internet did not work and the night manager did not seem to care nor was he trying to help. Skip breakfast since it looked very basic. Other staff were friendly and location was good. Rooms were VERY small.
