Guest Reviews
- Luke (9/5): Great little B&B on a quiet street. - Lovely B&B-style property, basic but well worth the price. Elizabeth was lovely and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious and very filling!
- Krishna (9/5): - The toilets and room were very spacious. Very friendly staff. Helped us organise a taxi and store our luggage until we had to leave for the flight.
- Cynthia (10/5): Cozy place to stay near center and lake - Great location. Near center but also far enough away. Also close to the lake which was really nice. The owner is also great! She was super helpful.
- Catherine (9/5): - nice staff members, good breakfast - super nice security system that allows you to enter/leave 24/7. It is not the most central location, but the staff is super helpful and nice. In general i felt super safe. In retrospective it was one of the most xpensive nights on my 3 weeks trip for a place that is "far out" of the center. Not that suitable for a solo traveler, since you always pay for a double room.

- Audrey (3/5): Find another spot - Beds comfortable. Location OK, owner helps set up tours. That’s it, I wouldn’t stay here again. Not everything listed on booking is true. If you pay with a credit card, you will have to download PayPal and then pay the PayPal fees! This extra cost is not indicated on booking. Owner does this because she was ripped off in past which I understand but she should indicate this on booking.com. had I known in advance I may have made another choice. Supposedly there is a garden but I did not see any seats/benches in front or in back. Breakfast is very basic, same every day.
Also very, very noisy at night. There is a neighborhood dog that barks all night! Stay elsewhere.
- Najib (9/5): -
- Alice (8/5): - Propriétaire super sympa
- Lauren (9/5): Amazing. Elizabeth goes above and beyond! - We had a wonderful stay at Miyazato Inn—very quiet and relaxing. It was also very clean and cozy. Elizabeth was fantastic and helped us navigate taxis, buses, and local options with ease. Highly recommended! Nada!
- Yuta (10/5): -
- William (8/5): Clean , comfortable and well located with very helpful staff - Quiet. Convenient but not in the middle of everything. Elizabeth is very helpful. This is our second visit to the property. We liked it the first time and came back so there’s nothing we didn’t like. It’s not fancy but is clean and comfortable.
- shruti (10/5): -
- Denis (8/5): Very good -
- Solares (10/5): Elizabeth, owner, made you feel like you were a guest in her own home. Almost like family And she was very approachable - Property was very clean. The best part was being within a 15-min. walk to the center of town where all the restaurants and shops are. Nothing.
- Jane (10/5): Super stay! Arigato!!! - Elizabeth was wonderful- arranging an early morning taxi and serving coffee and toast way earlier than usual! Great location near the lake and the main shopping street.
- Randal (10/5): Home away from home in El Calafate - Elizabeth is a great hostess with lots of heart. The inn really felt like a cozy home. The location is a few blocks from the center of town. The location was really quiet and safe. The rooms are super clean and comfy. Please consider black out curtains.
- Pier (7/5): Good - Good location, friendly staff, clean room, spacious and comfortable lobby, eggs were good Not enough selection for breakfast, only served American coffee, room and bathroom smaller than expected, outside construction noise
- Lana (9/5): A lovely stay with a kind hostess in a peaceful neighbourhood close to the main street and Laguna Ni - The staff was very kind and helpful, this made our stay really lovely! The rooms are clean and comfortable, just know it can be a little noisy. The neighbourhood is pretty quiet and close to the main street as well as Laguna Nimez. We would absolutely recommend Miyazato Inn for a visit in El Calafate! Just know it can be noisy, you can hear sounds from other rooms. But that is the only minus!
- Sergei (8/5): Very good - Room, location, staff Breakfast could be better;
Strange that they don't accept credit cards (only PayPal) but good thing that they accept USD cash
- Jane (8/5): Very good - Elizabeth is super helpful, breakfast was good. The rooms could do with a bit of an update.
- Anny (10/5): Owner and staff of the Inn were exceptionally attentive and caring. They addressed all of our needs and assistance. I - Owner and staff of the Inn were exceptionally attentive and caring. They addressed all of our needs and assistance. I highly recommend to stay at the location because it is walking distance to the Main Street where there are plethora of shopping and scrumptious food cuisines. Don't miss the opportunity to stay here. Everything was perfect!
- David (9/5): Great stay with an awesome host - Eli was incredibly helpful for our stay and for giving advice for our onward journey! The room was comfortable and as expected. When our friends down the street as well as the bus station had no running water, Hosteria Miyazato Inn still did.
- Paula (7/5): A pleasant stay in a good location. - The location was good for the main town and the room was a good size It was a little Impersonal. Not helped by our lack of Spanish. Breakfast was somewhat disorganised.
- Sergio (8/5): Bright, modest, and friendly place - Super friendly host, Elizabeth was terrific. Location could have been closer to center.
- Jonathan (4/5): Disappointing after reading other reviews - Clean , functional Impersonable welcome , breakfast not very good
- Sheila (7/5): Quiet, clean and comfortable place to stay - Staff was helpful and nice. 15 minute walk to the center of town. Quiet and remote area next to the Nature Reserve. The guests were older and nice (not a party atmosphere) which was perfect. I wouldn’t say there were things I disliked. It’s very simple, modest and humble.
- Michael_rowland (8/5): Very good - Very friendly and welcoming with good recommendations for local places to eat. Great breakfast. Comfortable room.
- Lisa (6/5): Pleasant -
- Henkjan (6/5): It was fine - Very clean Not the best location
- Xuan (8/5): Very good -
- Dominique (8/5): Good value option in an expensive town. - Nice homely hotel. Very welcoming manager. Excellent breakfast. Good value for money. The mattress had seen better days. Cleaning could have been more thorough.
- Hugo (8/5): Very good - very friendly hostess.
- James (8/5): A lovely relaxing place to stay - The Inn has a great location just 5-10 minutes walk from the town centre and from the nature reserve on a quiet street in a nice neighbourhood. Rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. There is a comfortable sitting area downstairs. Breakfast was good with coffee, ham, cheese, eggs, bread, jam, cake, and was available early enough to mean you could get to the Perito Merino Glacier and be the first to enter the park (top tip, the park doesn’t open till 8am and the entrance is about a 35 minute drive away. You then have to drive a further 23 km to get to the glacier. You can buy tickets online or at the entrance). Elizabeth was available to help with anything and make suggestions about the town. If you’re looking for a nice coffee shop go to Cafe Brown just around the corner. It is off the beaten track and great. Best meal we had was at Buenos Cruces - excellent food at a reasonable price. There were a few signs of things wearing out. The door handle came off our door, the radiator leaked and needed draining. Nothing serious, and Elizabeth got things fixed as quickly as she could.
- Daiva (9/5): Nice place if you do your homework before you go there - Location, peace, safety, cleanliness. Traditional but delicious breakfast (very tasty scrambled eggs, cheese, ha, etc). Good coffee :)
And very close to the city center. A little bit of minor: you can only pay in local cash or dollars, which is a considerable amount and you may not have it with you, or via Paypal. And if you don't have Paypal, it also becomes a big problem. In addition, when paying with Paypal, the price increases by a little more than 5 percent.
All of this could perhaps be avoided if the hotel provided information in advance about possible payment methods. In our case, this was not done.
- Robert (10/5): Enjoyed Hosteria Miyazato! - Elizabeth, the owner made our stay like we were part of the family. She and her staff were always friendly and accommodating. Having the comfy sitting area was a plus. We like to walk and the location gives one a chance to walk and discover. Being close to the waterfront of Lagos Argentino, and Laguna Nimez was great. Maybe update facilities in the room - better shower curtain so the whole floor is not flooded. Perhaps some different items for breakfast each morning.
- Richard (7/5): Good -
- Sinziana (8/5): Good value for money for El Calafate. - The property offers basic accommodation with minimal room amenities. Though not fancy, it is very clean and quite cozy. Convenient location just about 10 minute walk to the center.
- Kenneth (9/5): Superb -
- Iris (10/5): Exceptional - Elizabeth and her staff were so friendly and helpful. She let us leave our luggage so we could walk around before our return flight.
- Izabela (7/5): Good -
- Ping (10/5): Exceptional -
- May (7/5): Good -
- Mdcl (8/5): Beautiful hotel in El Calafate, but could use some improvements - Elizabeth was such a lovely person! The hotel is very cute and cozy, and the wrap-around windows let in a lot of natural sunlight. There are some scattered pictures here and there of her family, which is very sweet to see. Our room was pretty comfortable and we got good sleep every night. It does get a bit stuffy, but we were able to open the windows and get some airflow in. Water pressure in the shower was awesome and hot water was consistent.
Breakfast in the morning is very simple, but nice. The pancakes were a really nice touch.
Location is great; all you have to do is walk a few minutes until you get to a little footbridge over the creek and you're basically in the center of town. Super convenient. Also only about 10-15 minutes' walk from Laguna Nimez, where you can do some birdwatching.
There's also a very sweet kitty on the premises named Tempura :). Drainage in the shower is really poor. Once the shower gets going, basically no water drains and it takes several minutes for it to full drain after you turn the water off. Not sure if they have clogged pipes or something, but it was pretty gross showering in standing water.
Bathroom also gets really smelly (maybe from the shower drain) and we had to constantly air it out.
On a separate note, adding some eggs to the breakfast would make SUCH a huge difference (especially for those who are vegetarian -- we need protein too!).
Giving it an 8/10 because we had a good stay otherwise, but definitely the bathroom situation needs remedy.
- Sarah (9/5): Wonderful welcome and very helpful, loved our stay - The most welcoming owner, really lovely and couldn’t do enough to help us. Breakfast was good and the place was clean, comfortable beds and secure access. Wifi was decent too, a little out of town but close enough to walk in for dinner The dogs barking at night were loud but I think you hear that everywhere in Calafate no matter where you are
- Kieran (6/5): Nice host just needs a bit of love - Needs a refresh. We booked this based on good reviews but the rooms are tired and, while clean, don’t feel that way as furnishings and paint job are old. Very disappointed with towels fraying at the edges.
- Nobuaki (9/5): Superb -
- Natalia (6/5): Pleasant - Host was lovely/helpful and could speak English, Spanish and Japanese. Location was good. We were disappointed with the breakfast. Our friends stayed here 4 years ago and they loved the property . Apparently there were many other breakfast options ( some Japanese and a warm breakfast). We ate white bread /toast and two very small peices of a pancake every morning . Room was very basic but lovely to see lavender flowers growing in the backyard and the mountain range from our window .
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good - Really helpful staff, sorted me out with the excursions I wanted, gave advice on where to go etc and the pancakes and breakfast were delicious! My bed was quite squeaky - might not be an issue for others but I toss and turn quite a lot!
- Kenji (9/5): We made a very good choice. - Convenient and quiet location.
Clean room.
Excellent hospitality by Elizabeth.
Warm and good breakfast.
- Gregoire (10/5): Cosy and comfy place near city center - Very clean, good room temperature, hot shower, great breakfast and great hostess
- Yury (9/5): Nice stay with good value for money - Good facilities and helpful host. Pancakes for breakfast PayPal or cash pmt only. PayPal incurs fees, can’t benefit from a blue rate unless having pesos in cash as foreign debit cards not accepted
- Mozelle (3/5): Room for improvement - Room was very basic. Very hot, no air circulation. Bright lights in room from outside, towels old and ragged, woman at reception always frowning, not very welcoming.
- Seungwon (9/5): Superb -
- Manuel (9/5): Homey, comfortable, and well-located. Just a bit expensive. - Great location. Homey and safe environment. Good service and breakfast included. Effective WiFi. Monica (staff) is awesome and super helpful. Shower curtains were a bit dirty, though probably from being a bit old. Very expensive for the value it offers, though this may be true of all Calafate hotels. May have to book an AirBnB next time, to save some money.
- Mary (8/5): Miyazato was a reasonably priced and very good hotel for our needs. - The owner was very friendly and accommodating. She was very helpful with our transfers. The location was excellent for walking to areas of interest. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional - The charming owner/manager
- Richard (7/5): Good - Very good coffee, bread, jam, juice, ham and cheese. Barking dogs kept in backyard awakened me late at night
- Benjamin (8/5): Very good -
- Rodel (10/5): Exceptional - Elizabeth was very helpful and kind to prepare breakfast for us for our day trips. She was very accommodating.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb -
- Zlatina (10/5): A place where you feel at home <3 - The staff is genuinely friendly, helpful and considerate!
- Daiko (9/5): Great stay, we loved it! - We stayed for 4 nights. It was super convenient, located less than 10 minutes’ walk from the city. Elizabeth, the owner, was really nice. She helped us with tour reservations and taxi arrangements. (in Japanese, English and Spanish available) The hotel is very cozy and feels like coming home, we actually loved it! The wooden room was comfortable and quiet atmosphere. But you might need some "trick" to close the door at bathroom ^)
- Annick (8/5): Very good -
- Jimmy (9/5): Lovely place - Friendly and welcoming staff
Cosy and warm room
Hot shower
Short walk into the main town centre A little expensive
- Connie (10/5): Very cool and pleasant. Hostess was very attentive and efficient. - Clean, comfortable and walking distance to town. None
- Xiangrong (5/5): Passable - clean value and location.
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Degraaf (9/5): Superb - Elizabeth was an incredible host. She was so helpful and gracious in making our stay everything we were looking for! The room would get a bit warm!!
