Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We didn't actually stay as the accommodation was not operating as a B and B when we arrived. Hence the poor rating. Expedia were very helpful when I rang to let them know what had happened
- Helene (10/5): Super leuke B&B in Balloch - Leuke net B&B. Ontzettend aardige en behulpzame eigenaresse. Goed ontbijt met elke ochtend een special. We konden onze bagage na uit checken laten staan, dat was fijn.
- Richard (10/5): Fantastic B&B close to amenities - We had a fantastic four night stay at Valhalla B&B. Owners were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. B&B is directly opposite a taxi rank and Balloch train station (with direct services in to Glasgow every 30 mins). All local amenities are within walking distance including Balloch Castle Country Park, local shops, restaurants and of course, the Loch itself. We used the B&B as a base for exploring Loch Lomond National Park and found that even the most northernly parts of the Park were no more than an hour's drive away. Ben Lomond (Rowardennan car park) is about a 40 minute drive from the B&B for those who want to scale the mountain. Fantastic breakfast provided every day and plenty of street parking (or the drive if it's free) – all in all a great stay, would definitely stay here again.
- Marty&Laurna (10/5): - Outstanding! Walking distance to restaurants, pubs, parks, castles, and tourist information center. Hosts were excellent, thank you for a great stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful stay - Everything was just lovely from the time we arrived, despite being very delayed by a flight Angela was very kind and welcoming. The family room was perfect for two friends, very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing every day we stayed for three nights and was a good selection of choices and very good daily specials. It is the perfect base for exploring the area, and I wish we could have stayed longer than three nights.
- Carole (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable with an excellent breakfast. Ideal location for stopping on a trip to the Highlands.
- BOON TIONG (8/5): Beautiful room but cramped and poor wifi - The place is next to a railway station. Free parking on the streets in front . Beautifully decorated rooms with good breakfast , good showers , good beds . Wifi is almost non-existent in the back room. The triple room at the back is cramped . Otherwise a pleasant stay.
- Jan (6/5): - Good location but our room was tiny and bed very hard. Good breakfast and friendly staff
- Brendan (10/5): Welcoming B&B with a fabulous Breakfast - As first time visitors to Loch Lomond we chose the Valhalla B&B in Balloch as our stopover. The B&B is well located, a stones throw from the Train Station, close to Loch attractions and a number of popular bars/restaurants. The full Scottish breakfast was fab.
- Jan (10/5): The people could not do enough for us. - Excellent breakfast with a daily special such as eggs Benedict or waffles or salmon and egg. Right next to the railway station, the tourist information and the start of many walks. Quiet location.
There was a problem one morning when it didn't appear to be complete, ie. The room did not appear to be replenished nor the bathroom cleaned but it was more likely the owner was called away mid clean and it was an oversight. Soon rectified though, hence the markdown on the score.
There is plenty of places to eat nearby of Al different cuisines, so a definite good place to stay.
I would definitely recommend this place to stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): Overnight Stay - Excellent location close to all amenities, the owners are very welcoming and excellent breakfast
- Richard (8/5): Good value for money and spotlessly clean - Conveniently situated and reasonably priced. The type of accommodation is listed as bed and breakfast and this is something that Valhalla does very well indeed.
- fiona (10/5): Fab b & b - Home from home angela the owner was lovely and very obligant
- Michael (8/5): Good location - This B&B is close to many good food spots. Wonderful friendly staff with a great breakfast.
