The largest of the 3 bedrooms, the Willow room offers a super king-size bed, free Wi-Fi, 42 inch flat screen TV, full-length fitted wardrobe and working desk with lamp. Homemade cookies also provided. The bathroom offers roll-top bath & separate walk-in 'drench' shower, with organic toiletries, fluffy towels and heated floor. This room can be offered as a Double or Family Room (includes 2 truckle beds to accommodate 2 children up to the age of 12).

- David (10/5): Friendly, clean and comfortable country stay - There was ample parking when we arrived (petrol car, so I can speak to charging facilities) We were given good instructions on how to access the room and we met one of the owners on arrival. The room was on the ground floor, but I can’t speak for disabled access. The room was very clean and tidy, with excellent WiFi @29Mbps, so you could easily work from the room There was hot water for two baths in quick succession (the other rooms were also occupied) There was no discernible ambient noise from the other guests The views were great - lots of sheep! The bed was very comfortable and there were enough good, soft towels The breakfast was very good with a wide menu variety to choose from (we ate in our room, it there is a communal breakfast table) Hmmm…don’t know. We had a really pleasant experience.

Good choice for breakfast and very fresh. It's only a small establishment, breakfast is served at a big communal table so you are potentially eating with other guests that you feel you have to chat with. Some might like this but we prefer our peace and quiet. Having said that there is an in-room "Breakfast tray" option.

When we arrived we found we had a lovely room, clean and with great facilities and homemade cookies to welcome us. Breakfast was lovely, the choice of what to have was very good. We will be returning and thoroughly recommend staying here. Nothing, this was an exceptional B&B. The facilities are in a self contained annex to the main house and the only road noise we heard was a couple of horses walking by. Lovely B&B in a very pretty village.

Would have preferred a full english breakfast but this is only an option on weekends however, the poached eggs on toast were very good

- glen (10/5): Short stay at the swallows rest. - The hosts were lovely and couldn't be more accommodating. Sam was very kind and booked a restaurant, which was perfect for me and my young daughter. The room was really clean and comfortable, and we were welcomed with freshly baked cookies which was a nice gesture. The opportunity to meet other guests at breakfast was a lovely addition to our stay. My daughter loved the location, specifically the various wildlife we encountered during our stay in the village. There was nothing about our stay that we didn't like.

- Tiffenny (8/5): Very good - Sam was an excellent host, very friendly. The Swallows was a large room with a large bathroom. It was nicely decorated and very clean. The breakfast was very good. Parking on site. Desk in the room and wifi were both useful. Large TV which I didn't get around to trying. For me the pillows and mattress were a little too firm. The large bed was actually two singles joined together so there was a join in the centre. I chose this accommodation based on its excellent reviews and it looking like a quiet place where I could get an early night and so I'd have preferred a 'quiet after 10pm rule' as I could hear various comings and goings until around 10.30, eg people going into the garden, and people in the dining area, I understand that 10.30pm is not late for some people and other people staying on other occasions might not hear the same as me, I was also unlucky with hearing what I think were birds tapping on roof until very late.

The room has a super comfy king size bed, with that home from home feeling. The roll top bath and walk in shower was a pleasant surprise! Sam was the most gracious host, her attention to detail, super breakfast choices, and cookie treats in our room. We will most definitely be back to Swallows Rest on our next UK visit, and have no hesitation in recommending a stay here.

Would visit again It was in a quant little village lots of walks nearby and local vineyards which we looked out over. The rooms were excellent light and airy. Bathroom shower was super too. Had the best nights sleep on the huge super king bed. Little mini bar in room well stocked with local beers and wine if you fancied a tipple. The host Sam was so helpful and cheery and nothing was to much trouble we will definitely be back

Sam greeted us with delicious homemade cookies and provided a delicious breakfast in the bright, sunny breakfast room. We were just passing through, but Swallows Rest would be a lovely place to spend a few nights if you're in the area. No concerns.

- Warren (10/5): A lovely place to relax - “Home from home” is a reasonable phrase to use. The bedroom is spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Set in a quiet rural location within easy walking distance of pubs, restaurants and a small bakery/coffee shop. The hostess is lovely and attentive. Off road parking is great too, on a clean gravel drive very close to the entrance, so no lugging of cases for long distances! Food was very pleasant, with lots of choice to suit all tastes. Very reasonable pricing. Exactly what we were looking for. Nothing really! It may be worth mentioning that the setting is a small (very lovely) village, but with narrow streets, so motor homes or larger vans could not negotiate the streets easily.
