Guest Reviews
- michael (10/5): - Staff was very helpful and friendly
- Barbara (10/5): - Ron was a wonderful host. I had a relaxing stay at Emma's Bed and Breakfast. Would recommend.
- Sandra (10/5): Beautiful getaway! - My husband and I found Emma‘s bed-and-breakfast online while searching for a place to getaway to celebrate my 60th birthday. We were interested in staying in an old historical home and Emma’s did not disappoint. It’s a beautiful home. Good location close to town and the Antique Center. We were in the Sydney Suite which is the two connecting rooms and bathroom on the first floor. It was so very spacious. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice and updated. We loved the atmosphere of the vintage decor and antiques the home offered. Our breakfast each morning was homemade and delicious. Everyone was very kind and accommodating with anything that we needed. We would definitely recommend Emma’s and look forward to staying here again sometime.
- Skylar (10/5): - Comfortable, beautiful, peaceful, great staff/owner, easy parking, nice property, clean. Would definitely come back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Gem in Springfield - The host and the facility exceeded our expectations. To be specific, we slept well, had a home cooked warm breakfast, and enjoyed our conversation with the host and other guests. Way better than a typical hotel.
- Kimberly (10/5): - Ron the owner has a very charming B&B, if the walls could talk, we had a wonderful time and Ron and has fur baby Zeke were great hosts. We loved it there. I highly recommend it❤️
- Daniel (10/5): - This is a very charming place!! Our host was very attentive but not intrusive. The breakfast was delicious. Beds and accommodations were great!! will visit again
- Sue (10/5): - The owner was very personable and accommodated us when necessary. Absolutely will plan to return!!
- Tony A (10/5): - Nice quiet place to relax in.
- Rick (10/5): - outstanding customer service
- Stacey (8/5): - Very nice with a super comfortable King size bed. Our only issue was that the wifi was weak.
- TJ (10/5): - Ron was polite and friendly. He accommodated our super late check in request. House was in very close proximity to wedding reception location which was great. Clean room with very good parking. No complaints.
- Sydney (10/5): - Lovely home! So comfortable and welcoming. We highly recommend.
- Valerie (10/5): - Excellent breakfast
- Robin (2/5): - The room was very nice and clean but that is the only positive thing about this place. The breakfast was awful, scrambled eggs, over cooked hard sausage patties, and disgusting potatoes that consisted of some unidentifiable cream sauce with large chucks of vegetables mixed in. Also the "orange juice" was an orange drink not juice. The second day breakfast was french toast but it was dished out of plastic container not freshly made. No bottled water in a guest refrigerator or any type of small snack/fruit for guests. The beds need better pillows and a nice mattress pad, the mattress was't comfortable at all. The place had a nice deck area and back yard but no chairs in the yard to sit in and the deck had a banquet style foldable table and chairs to sit on that needed to be cleaned off to use. I would not stay here again.
- Brian (10/5): - Such a great alternative to a motel. A beautiful 19th century home furnished spectacularly. Very comfortable rooms. Loved our stay and highly recommend.
- Tiffany (10/5): Perfect family suite! - My husband, two teens and I thouroughly enjoyed our stay! The owner, Ron, was very welcoming and accommodating to all our requests. We had a huge suite with everything we could want or need. We all cleaned our plates for breakfast, it was delicious!
- Rhonda (10/5): Excellent customer service - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Emma’s bed and breakfast. The hospitality was excellent and the facility was very clean. Will definitely look into staying again when in this area!
- Jenifer (8/5): - It was a beautiful home, very clean. Ron, the owner-operator was a very kind sweet man who took good care of us.
- Verified traveler (10/5): This place is a hidden gem & well worth staying at - Absolutely wonderful little gem! Was there for a horse show by myself and was SO pleased at how cozy and comfortable the room was. The owners are beyond nice and were SO friendly. Will definitely be back!!
- Anthony (10/5): - Ron was an exceptional host. Loved the house, lil history and peaceful rest. Breakfast was spot on!
- Sherry (8/5): - Beautiful, comfortable relaxing.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautifully appointed rooms and private baths.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This B&B was an amazing step into the past with its period decor throughout. The owner gave me a tour and the history which added to its charm.
- joanna k. (10/5): Mini vacation on our way to Virginia - Ron was great. Made us feel comfortable and welcome. Bless you Ron
- Alice M. (10/5): Clean rooms - Nice stay!
- Richard (8/5): enjoyable - Beautiful accommodations, but too close to the street - traffic noise and sounds of gunfire in the neighborhood.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was an excellent place to stay! My wife and I drove down from Cleveland to do some antiquing before New Years Eve and it is in a perfect location. This historical home is very well maintained and the attention to detail is fantastic. The bed was amazing and slept better here than we did at home! Ron, the owner, was a pleasure to have conversations with throughout our stay. He truly is a genuine man and could not have asked for a better stay. Will plan to stay again in the summer. Thank you Ron for a much needed getaway! Blessings to you and your family!
- Peggy (10/5): - Beautiful lodging, friendly host, breakfasts were delicious. Definitely will go back.
- Cassidy (10/5): - The property was beautiful and clean. The personal service and home cooked breakfast made for a great stay!
- Mitch (8/5): - The owner was very pleasant and welcoming . The room was large and pleasant. The home is very pleasant and very clean. The bed was very comfortable.
- Jennifer (10/5): Must stay location. Friendly host/owner. - We loved our stay. The place was beautiful and so clean. Ron was incredibly kind, especially to our super excited and hyper toddler. We hope to visit again one day.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I absolutely love the antiques, the friendliness of the staff, and the fact that each room has a private bath
- Denise (10/5): A great place to stay! - The owner went out of his way to accommodate us on our unexpected late arrival. He was friendly and helpful and a delight to get to know.
Every morning a fresh pot of coffee was waiting for us. We had fun getting to know all of the other guests while sitting in the comfortable sitting area inside or the wonderful patio outside.
We highly recommend a stay at Emmas bed and breakfast.
- Russ (10/5): - Host was very welcoming and made an amazing breakfast. It is a very beautiful home. Thank you! Excellent conversation as well. Thank you!
- Laura N. (8/5): Home away from Home - Great stay! Great service!
- Ann (10/5): - We liked it because it was such an old historic house but yet in such great condition. Nicely decorated rooms, comfortable bed.
The owner was interesting and fun to talk to. We enjoyed it a lot.
- Denniskoesters (8/5): - Old style home with unique architecture. Like living back 50 plus years ago but still had up to date features like plumbing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owner is charming and we enjoyed his hospitality. We hope to go there again.
- Pete (6/5): - The place is beautiful, belongs in a museum. I just prefer the comforts of modern places when I stay.
- RICK (10/5): Meets your needs - First morning they didn't have decaf coffee, not a problem. But the next morning, a full separate pot of decaf. The owner went out special to get coffee. Great service!
- Amber (10/5): (: - It was super clean and quiet. Host is alittle awkward but overall a good guy. I enjoyed it over all, and would return
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice place in Springfield, OH - We had a nice big suite for our family. The breakfast was awesome...a big plus!
- Aet (8/5): - Ron the owner was very nice. My only complaint the bed was to soft.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely bed and breakfast in a great location! - We had an excellent 2-night stay at Emma's! The owners were so friendly, and they accommodated our need for late check-in as well as an earlier breakfast! The breakfasts were yummy! The location was perfect for us. It is set on 9 acres of beautiful land that makes you feel like you are in an English garden; however, major stores and restaurants are just up the road! We would definitely stay again!
- Carol (4/5): Springfield B and B - The pictures made this place look nice.....it was a very tired, old house. It has good bones, and some nice antiques, but it could be a nice place if some effort was made. The rooms were dirty....floors hadn't been swept, bathrooms not that clean, towels were so thin. Beds were horrible as were the bedding. Most places had been booked that weekend, so we ended up here-will not go back. Breakfast was bland and plain. There were still Christmas decorations everywhere, and it was April 20th!!! This place needs to clean and declutter, invest in new beds, linens, towels. And a little upgrade to the breakfast would go a long ways. Not worth the price we paid!
- chris (10/5): Anniversary get away - Ron and George were very attentive. Ron gave us a tour of his beautiful home built in 1833. We had the run of the house and George served us a delicious breakfast on the day of our departure. I definitely would recommend
- james (10/5): Stay at Emma’s when in Springfield! - Emma’s is the perfect place to stay. It is easy to get to and there is plenty of parking. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and filling: omlets, hash browns, fresh fruit, fresh biscuits and plenty of coffee
