• Doug (8/5): Great little spot, we would stay there again, very friendly & accommodating staff. - The rooms and upstairs has been completely remodeled, they are new and modern. The Owner is very accommodating and worked very hard to provide us with everything we needed. Note: from the outside, you would not know that the whole upper level has been renovated, so the look from the exterior was not very impressive, but inside was a completely different story. Trucks and cars would pull up to the front of the building, park then go inside to the small restaurant and leave there vehicles running for extended periods of time. This was especially true for trucks including diesel half ton trucks. This is noisy and annoying for the rooms on the second floor. The heating and cooling system was hard to control and coordinate. Better instructions on its operation & control are required.

• Max (10/5): The price is right the service top notch and the rooms are great. - It's a hidden gem the owners new what they were doing when they were renovating there property. From the out side you would not expect the inside to be wow. The only issue is the rooms are on the second floor. If you have mobility issues this would be a problem.

• Richard (10/5): Perfect location, fresh modern room, awesome staff - This is an awesome place to stay, but when we first arrived we thought we'd made a terrible mistake. There's a well-supplied convenience store on the ground floor, but don't let that dissuade you. Once we got to our room upstairs, all doubts were destroyed, and we LOVED it. The room was new and very clean, with an awesome big king bed and plenty of room. Bathroom is ideal -- big and spacious, with a fantastic shower with a hand-held shower wand. The fridge worked well and everything in the room felt very new and in top condition. We never heard a peep from the other rooms during our stay, though we know they were full. Cleaning staff were in the hallways daytime and very friendly, and respected our do-not-disturb sign. They were quiet in the hallways and never disturbed us once. And they have full laundry facilities on site, on the same floor as our rooms. The location is super convenient, you're walking distance from a movie theatre, several restaurants and shopping. And when you're retiring to the room for the evening, the shop downstairs has all the drinks & snacks you could want, plus fresh-made sandwiches and more. Staff was awesome. We'll be back.

Don’t judge the place by its exterior, the rooms are modern and the facilities impeccable. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful! I prefer a firm bed, the mattress was too soft for my taste, but very comfortable.

It's on a busy corner so heard traffic during the night. There is no view of the river.

Really lovely staff. - A most surprisingly lovely room .. the outside looks very ordinary and the suites are above a convenience store BUT don’t be put off .. the room was really wonderful! Large, very clean and quiet. We had an amazing jacuzzi bath in the room ! Plus a great shower . Huge bed, chocs by bed, coffee machine, fridge . Loads of soft towels and toiletries.

• patrick (10/5): - Great stay at Riverside Suites. Check in was easy at the store downstairs from the rooms. We were pleasantly surprised that our room was upgraded to the Jacuzzi sweet. Nothing's better than watching Jeopardy on the tele whilst hot tubbing! The store downstairs has all the convenience offerings you'd expect as well as a restaurant/take out window. You can't go wrong with their authentic and extremely delicious cold plate! The staff were super friendly and helpful. There was a hellhound outside somewhere barking furiously most of the evening, but I understand that's not the establishments fault so I can't complain on that other than simply pointing it out. A+ all around!

The room was lovely with 5 star amenities—— jet tub, robes, towel warmer, rain shower, free laundry. The only negative issue is no elevator. However, the stairs are low rise & east to climb. Would definitely recommend.

• Jeffrey (8/5): Weird check in but super nice comfortable room. - We drove by the property several times as it took us a while to realize the units were on top of a convenience store which was a little weird. Some more signs would be helpful. Also not sure why it’s called river view as we couldn’t see the river at all, wasn’t even that close. Very nicely updated room and the free laundry service in newer appliances was welcomed. Staff working there were also very helpful and friendly.

Nous avons découvert une chambre spacieuse, très propre, tranquille et le lit très confortable. L’apparence extérieure quoique décevante, à l’intérieur c’était tout autre. Superbe !

• James (10/5): - After spending a couple of weeks in hotel rooms it was great to stay in this fantastic apartment. We actually decided to stay in for our last night in Newfoundland as it was so nice. Great kitchen and bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. It justified a much longer stay.

You have to check in through a convenience store and the hotel is not well indicated. Old wooden stairs bring you up to the rooms. This was all very discouraging until I went up and saw the room. Wow! Everything was new with beautiful modern furniture,large beds and so so clean. This is without a doubt a five star apartment. Please don’t be discouraged when you arrive. You won’t be disappointed

• Keith Dawe (8/5): Very pleasant. Excellent quality, reasonable value and easy to find. - The room was large and very clean. We had been upgraded to the jacuzzi suite, although we didn't feel a need to use it. The king bed was comfortable, with nice bedlinens. The room had all the amenities, but could be improved with an easy chair or two and a table big enough for writing or a laptop. Additionally, there is lots of room in the bathroom to add a place to hang your used towels after a shower. The outside of the building really doesn't do justice to the build standard of the room. I guess it's true - don't judge a book by its cover. Nothing in particular.

On avait accès gratuitement à des laveuses sécheuses, on nous a même fourni le savon ! Très apprécié au centre du voyage à Terre-Neuve. Un peu difficile de trouver l'emplacement.

All new bathroom, laundry in the bathroom. Full kitchen. The lighting was awesome, charging station for your phones. Spotless, luxurious hotel style bedding and towels! The price of a hotel room! We had a chuckle when we were trying to figure out how to check in and realized that you got your room key from the store downstairs! Everyone was so friendly! A great stop to recharge while traveling! Thank you so much!

• Melanie (9/5): Geräumige und saubere Unterkunft mit nettem Kontakt - Die Lage ist für einen Zwischenstopp ideal. Ich hätte aber auch gern noch eine weitere Nacht in dem Zimmer verbracht. Auch sonst entspricht die Ausstattung der Beschreibung. Im Zimmer gibt es einen riesigen Fernseher (den ich nicht benutzt habe) und ein sehr großes, gemütliches Bett. Das Badezimmer ist ebenfalls geräumig und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Man kann auf dem Flur gefiltertes Trinkwasser in eigene Flaschen füllen und es schmeckt nicht nach Chlor! Außerdem ist die Benutzung von Waschmaschine und Trockner kostenfrei. Sogar Waschmittel und Tücher für den Trockner werden bereitgestellt. Netter Kontakt während des Eincheckens und sogar der Koffer wurde mir in den ersten Stock getragen. Vielen Dank! Man gelangt nur über Treppen zu den Zimmern im ersten Stockwerk. Es gibt keinen Aufzug, aber das ist natürlich kein Grund zur Beschwerde über die Unterkunft.
