- Jonathan (6/5): - On the good side, it’s a historic building, in a great location, it’s quaint, and the breakfast is good. But the rooms are small and crowded, there is no air conditioning, and no elevator. Lugging a suitcase up those narrow stairs is no joke. The mattress was old and sloped to one side. And there was no shampoo. Overall, it was fine, but we will stay elsewhere next time.

I missed the note in the description about no elevator, so carrying my heavy suitcase to the 4th floor was a problem for me however the helpful staff happily assisted me which was greatly appreciated. Late night revelers were loud in street but that is to be expected so close to the city center. Would stay again.

I enjoyed my tea comfortably seated by the window. The breakfast was delicious. Cristina was very kind. She sent clear information when I made the reservation and then the necessary information near the check-in date. Located within walking distance of all the attractions. I highly recommend it, and hope to return someday. Thank you so much, Cristina and the team.
- John (10/5): - Our stay at the Henry Guest house was a wonderful experience. The location was walkable to all major sites, shops and restaurants. Check in instructions were well communicated which made our arrival go smoothly. We dropped off our bags and then parked the car across the street at a safe and affordable car park. Our room and on suite was a bit smaller (as fitting an older building) but charming and had all conveniences required for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was served in a bright and sunny room with both cold and hot food options available. Christina was an amazing host who made us feel welcomed and provided great recommendations for things to do while in Bath. Unless you have mobility issues and cannot navigate stairs, I would highly recommend this clean and charming guest house for your stay in beautiful Bath.

Easy walk to major attractions, many restaurants and shopping. The HGH was clean and comfortable. It has everything you need. The made to order breakfasts were wonderful and catered to your needs. I definitely recommend the HGH.

- Ginette (8/5): Comfortable stay - This is an old house so has very uneven floors and lots of narrow steep stairs. Ok for us but not for someone less mobile. Great location, just minutes from the station and town centre. We arrived early, the host was super friendly and let us check in early. The room was fairly big with two chairs. The mattress was clearly old as it had a massive dip but was surprisingly comfortable, pillows were good. Bedding and towels were clean. Shower was old but worked well. Overall a bit tired but all acceptable at a reasonable price. The host and staff were all great. The breakfast menu was disappointing, it said to ask for vegetarian options so we did, the option was to not order the bacon or sausage! The only additional item available was an avocado. It is really easy to keep a pack of veggie sausages in the freezer. It would be much better to not mention on the menu as this got our hopes up. There was a bowl of fruit salad on the table each morning, I’m not a fan of food sitting out waiting. Overall we had a lovely, comfortable stay. Cannot fault the location. It’s a traditional old b&b. We travelled by train, there was a car park opposite at £20 per day. Reasonably priced for the centre of Bath

- Kathleen (10/5): - The hostess, Christina, was very accommodating, allowing me to drop off my bag early in the day. Her breakfast was fabulous - delicious and plentiful. I noticed that when a new guest arrived during the breakfast hour, she invited him to enjoy coffee/tea or eat something, as if he had already stayed the night. The stairs to the 3rd floor are narrow and turning, so they are not for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. My small room did not have an ensuite bath; I had to leave my room, walk a short distance down the hall to the bath, unlock the door and relock it after use. That can be an issue for someone who needs to frequent the toilet several times during the night. The hallways are well lighted, and an electric heater is provided in the room's closet in case the room is cold or the house's central heating has not yet been turned on.
- Wayne (4/5): - We stayed at this property due to its proximity to the train station and local attractions. We did not meet any staff until the morning of our departure. The WiFi signal in the room was very weak; our phones frequently disconnected and had to be manually reconnected. The room was on a busy street and we heard loud noises and people on the street talking and occasionally yelling until 2-3 AM. We stayed in Room 4, which is accessed by a narrow staircase from the small entry foyer. This room had an uneven creaky floor in the bedroom and bathroom. The sink in the bathroom is very small, no light above the sink mirror, inadequate shelf space for personal items, and no Kleenex or shampoo. The included breakfast was available beginning at 8 AM, which seemed late to us and did not fit with our schedule. Unfortunately, we did not have a restful stay.

- Mr (6/5): - The hotel wasn’t like what I had expected , the photos made rooms look bigger and much brighter and cleaner. There was a leak on the second floor with a bucket and a wet patch on carpet, also stains on the ceiling. The decorating wasn’t to a high standard, light switches hadn’t been removed when painted around. The bathroom door looked discoloured, there were stains on the bedding, also do not feel that rooms where cleaned throughly or hoovered properly. The bed kept moving everytime you went to sit or lean against it. The blind was broken in our room and was mouldy.

- April (8/5): - While tgis is not a fancy place to stay, it is very clean and the staffis wonderful. I got the smalleat room in the place, at the top of the stairs. It was perfect foe my stay in Bath, central to everything and safe. I will definitely stay here again when I come in one of the bigger rooms, as I saw a peak inside thhem and they are lovely!
- Kim (4/5): Poor sleep in Bath - I’ll start by saying that the staff was friendly and the breakfast excellent. The reasons for the two stars is everything else: bathroom light too dim, and one kept flickering off and on; no shelf to place toiletries; shelf below mirror made sink unusable for washing face, etc. beds very hard, and the one I had had a significant depression. No place to put belongings, as style over substance in room (ie, bed side tables decorative, while they could have lower shelves). While there is a warning for stairs, first two flights normal; last flight had tight corners and could not carry bag beside you; needed to drag up behind you. While the location was great, the sleep was poor.

- Diana (10/5): - Super comfortable room for our family of four. Delicious breakfast downstairs each morning with friendly staff. Conveniently located near Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths. We highly recommend the free mayor’s tour of the city with knowledgeable guides that walk you all around the sites and up to the Royal Crescent. We also had a delicious dinner at The Architect restaurant. We recommend grabbing a pint at The Boater as well with a nice bear garden area to look out over the Pulteney Bridge. If you have kids, check out the wonderful playground at Sydney Gardens, then walk to the Bath Locks area to catch views of all the neat boat houses along the canal.
- Lesley (10/5): - This is such a quaint property! The staff are super nice and the breakfast provided was excellent! We definitely recommend this to travelers. We loved how easy it was to check in/out, it is so close to everything in Bath, and felt safe at all times.

It was self check-in - the host emailed and texted instructions beforehand so you can let yourself in and pick up the keys to your room. I stayed in single room, which had use of a separate private small shower room opposite across the hallway. Would have preferred an ensuite. The room was small and quite noisy with delivery lorries passing throughout night. Breakfast was nice and plentiful.

Not necessarily for the actual accommodation, which is in a very convenient and well situated location, but mostly due to the extraordinary hospitality of the host Christina, who’s caring attention and genuine desire to accommodate our various requirements made this a very comfortable and memorable stay for us. We will especially remember the meticulous care and attention that she expended on catering the breakfast to meet our needs and expectations. We have not seen this level of care even in many luxury facilities, let alone a relatively cosy environment. We would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Room was clean but some things could have been improved like the blind cords were far too high up to reach to open the blinds, I had to stand on the bed to reach them. There weren’t any plug sockets around the bed to plug in my phone and multiple light bulbs were missing from light fittings. Overall quite disappointed.
- Donna (8/5): Well situated , comfortable with tasty breakfast - The Henry Guest House is in an excellent location, walkable to much of Bath including the Ancient Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge. It is clean and our room was comfortable. Breakfast was abundant and tasty. Our room did not have air conditioning so we found it a little warm overnight.

She even helped carry one of our 47 lb suitcases up 3 floors!!! We arrived early and were able to check-in then since the room was ready- though even if the room wasn’t ready, we could have left our bags with her while we walked around town. The following morning we had an early tour booked and she prepared 2 take-away breakfasts for us! So thoughtful! We were able to check-out but leave our bags with her until we returned later that night. The hotel is just a couple blocks away from the train station, so that was very convenient. So many eating options nearby and the hotel is so close to everything. We highly recommend The Henry.

Family room (bedroom) was as observed in the Expedia photos, tea kettle with biscuits and large bottle of water was appreciated. Shower room was very small and tight. Due to the size of the shower room and steam from repeated showers over time, mold can now be observed clearly on the ceiling. Breakfast was great. Full English breakfast, cereals, various breads, yogurt and hot & cold drinks available.
- Char (10/5): Friendly comfortable stay - I enjoyed my stay here. The breakfast was great and cooked to order. Christina was extremely helpful with some great tips for things to do. As a heads up, I was in a single room on the third floor so lots of stairs. Next time I will pack lighter.
- Winsome (10/5): - The host Cristina was amazing. So friendly and helpful. Went out of her way to help us solve problem with parking. Good knowledge of town Breakfast choices amazing, especially the fruit salad overall a very lovely stay . Highly recommend this guest house Winny and Carol Australia
- Lisa (10/5): - Amazing find in centre of shopping area but quiet. The girls hosting were amazing & cooked a fab breakfast. Room was clean with plenty of space & kettle with tea /coffee. Excellent
- Gary John (10/5): - Proprietor went above & beyond to look after us. She moved us from the 3rd floor to the 1st on her suggestion, saying that Expedia assign rooms, not her. Location excellent - near train and major Bath attractions. Excellent breakfast - fresh fruit salad waiting on table, eggs cooked to order. Highly recommended.
- Nicole (8/5): - Such a great location! Just a couple minutes walk from the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge, etc. and practically right next to M&S food hall for snacks. My room was clean and comfortable – I was on the top floor so would suggest you pack light in case you are as well! I never made it down to breakfast, but Christina sent food up to me the second morning because she was concerned she hadn't seen me, so kind! Would stay again!
- Munira (10/5): - Really convenient location for exploring Bath. Lovely quirky Georgian house, very comfortable. Christina is lovely and breakfast was amazing. Would definitely recommend.
- Jane (8/5): Bijou but Convenient - The hotel is in a really convenient location, right in the middle of Bath and everything is only a few minutes walk away. It is also very quiet. Breakfast had a limited choice but was nice. The 2 downsides are the cost of parking, ÂŁ17 for 23 hours in Manvers Street car park a few minutes walk away and very convenient. Also, the room was very small and bathroom tiny, only room for one person and we are both quite small

- Helen (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at The Henry Guest House in Bath. It was charming, Christina and the Team were very kind and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was excellent with easy access to the sites that we wanted to see. I highly recommend this property.
