• Tiffany (10/5): 10/10 will definitely stay again! - Everything you can ask for in a great ryokan! Traditional room with futon on floor gave me a great night sleep. The onsen is small but wonderful after walking all day. And breakfast was delicious! A good mix of Japanese and western offerings. The location is at the top of Old Ginza St which made it easy to explore as you walk down to get to the main part of town and the train station.

• HANA (7/5): - 従業員の方の対応が丁寧でとてもよかったです。この点がこちらの旅館を利用して1番良かったところです。 他には、旅館全体はそこまで新しい施設ではないですが、お部屋の水回りが綺麗にアップデートされていたところは嬉しかったです。 ロケーションがサイトで見ていたものではなかった（窓から緑が見えるはずが竹の格子で囲まれていた）点と、お部屋が思ったより狭かった点です。ロケーションとお部屋の雰囲気から、和室ではなく洋室にしたのですが、サイトのイメージとは違っていて残念でした（あるあるのことかもしれませんが…）。 施設が若干古いこと、大浴場は露天風呂などなくそこまで大きくないことは事前にわかっていたことで、これは想像通り。 浴衣が着れることとお部屋への期待に費用を投じましたが、素泊まりであれば正直ここじゃなくて良かった感はありました。 （素泊まりだったことを前提に、参考にしていただければと思います。）

• Hannah (9/5): Timeless elegance - The only traditional inn left in Karuizawa - wonderful older style elegance inside and a beautiful stay in the tatami room. Lovely staff too. Felt like stepping back in time. Loved the onsen as well! Location is perfect, lots of walks to start from here and close to all the action but quiet. It’s quite pricey given the amenities are not modern - for us it was still worth it as we quite like the old world elegance/charm.

• Hiroshi (6/5): 宿泊自体は仲間と楽しく過ごせました。 - 接客サービスはとてもよかった。 冷蔵庫の調子が悪かった（冷えない）ので冷蔵庫を交換してくれた。 価格がちょっと高い感じ。食事なし（朝、晩）で4人部屋で２万円はちょっと？ 駐車スペースが１部屋、1台と言われてしまった。あふれた１台は有料の駐車場に止めましたが遠くて高かった。

• YUKO (4/5): - 和風な温泉旅館を体験するには良かったと思う 感じ良いスタッフもいる中、残念なスタッフの方がお一人いらっしゃいました。 初日に軽井沢駅に到着した時点でリコンファームを兼ねて宿にお電話し、周辺観光について尋ねましたが、観光としては全く効率の悪い不親切な回答でした。また帰る際もフロントでタクシーをお願いしたが、嫌々対応している感じがあからさまに伝わってきて残念でした。 朝食も8:30の時点では地元のお米のご飯はもう無くなっており、もう少し地元の素材を使った献立等工夫されると良いかと思います。

• AN CHI (10/5): - 整個飯店的氛圍都很舒適溫馨，我們是1月初入住一晚，寄放行李後飯店會直接幫忙放到房間裡！這次住的是榻榻米房，所以房內會有暖桌，晚上也會有人幫忙舖床，是很新奇的體驗！ 因為隔天要趕車去東京，所以有事先在booking上詢問是否能幫忙叫車，飯店人員也很貼心的主動進行確認，整體感受很好，房間內提供的茶包也都很好喝，很推薦想體驗傳統旅館的人來住住看！ 附近沒有便利商店，而且商店街的店家大概在下午五點後就陸續關門了，晚上想要買點東西可能不太方便，如果想吃零食或是泡麵當宵夜的人建議事先買好帶來，房間有熱水壺可以用。

• Jessica (10/5): - The staff were helpful to explain every little detail during check-in. The onsen was small but nice and cosy. Hair ties, cotton pads, cold water and many more are provided in the onsen change room, which made it so convenient as I often forgot to bring a thing or two. The location is up the hill (pretty much flat) from the main street, so it was great to walk from the hotel to the main street and hit every single store along the way.

• naoyuki (10/5): 念願の旧道の老舗へ - 旧道沿いにある旅館で、何年も前から行きたいと思っていました。老舗の旅館だけあったスタッフの方たちの対応はとても丁寧で親切でした。大浴場もあり、しかも深夜にも入浴可能であることは大変ありがたい。旧道なので買い物も観光もすぐにできます。 夕食の提供間隔が少々短かったので、もう少しゆっくりと食べたかった。

• Elaine (10/5): - Had an authentic Japanese ryokan experience. We opted for the Japanese style bedding with half board. So the complete tatami mats, sliding shoji doors and futton bedding. Dinner was Kaiseki, and fugu was on the menu, simply amazing! Staff is also very nice and polite. I definitely highly recommend Tsuyu Ryokan!

• AYA (10/5): 感謝✨ - 予定変更などトラブルがありましたがメールにて丁寧かつ臨機応変に対応していただきました。温かみのある言葉で急な変更にショックもありましたが気持ちが和みました。食事も美味しく、お部屋も素敵、スタッフ皆様きめ細やかなサービスでまた行きたいという気持ちになりました。 ありがとうございました。 朝、男性浴室の調子が悪かったらしく入りに行ったのですが戻ってきて残念そうでした。女性の湯は使えたようなので時間交代などで使用できる時間を教えていただるなどできたら 良かったです。滅多にない事なのかな？とも思います。

• Shirley (8/5): Great Ryokan experience for first timers - The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Although the hotel was old, it was kept clean and pleasant. While it may not satisfy the seasoned traveller, it would be a great experience for those who want to a traditional Ryokan experience. The forest area around the hotel is really pleasant for a morning stroll - highly recommended. It's a little pricey especially for the small room size and the fact that it's a public bath and not an onsen. Dinner was good for a first timer, but nothing mind blowing.

• Anna (10/5): A very homely, welcoming ryokan. Great staff. We loved our stay here. - Wonderfully welcoming staff and the owner gave us great advice about the hike from Karuizawa to Yokokawa over the Usui Pass (we’d intended to do it the other way round). The rooms are quiet and comfortable and their onsen is amazing! It’s in a great location at the top of the old town strip and very close to the Nakasendo trail. Tip: book well ahead for dinner there. We didn’t and missed out!
