• Adam (8/5): Location! - Excellent location for exploring the city, plenty within walking distance and very close to the tram to Sultanahmet and the funicular to Istikal. Rooms are small, but a great choice if you plan to be out in the city most of the time.

• karen (6/5): - I booked as I was swayed by the fabulous reviews. Very disappointed on arrival by the “sea view” that I had paid extra for. Nothing like the photo which was taken on level 7. Website photos are definitely misleading. Great big old building obstructing the view. Other comments about this have been buried under all the “10/10” reviews. Room was very average and was clean. Location convenient.
• Julie (10/5): - A lovely hotel, wonderful reception staff, everything needed in the room and a really nice breakfast. A lovely chef made the omelettes and I wanted to thank her for her amazing service and smile. The reception team were very helpful and arranged all our trips. Great value. Expensive wine though. £10 a glass but at least it could be consumed in a lovely bar and restaurant with amazing views.

• MICHELLE (10/5): - We stayed 3 nights and found the hotel was in a great location for public transport, dining and access to popular tourist spots such as Galata Tower and the Spice Market. Breakfast was included with a nice variety. Staff were lovely.

• Meghan (10/5): - There are so many options when it comes to Istanbul, but I would choose this one again. It is very convenient to local transportation and the port. The front desk staff went above and beyond during my stay. When I said I preferred two beds they had housekeeping in the room before I even got up there. When I was struggling to get an Uber/taxi the bell hop personally got one for us and struck a deal, so we could get where we needed. They were extremely attentive and responsive. The rooms were awesome and big for a European city. The breakfast was extensive. I also appreciated the elevator had key card security which made me feel much safer. Furthermore, in the bathroom they provided all the basics including a toothbrush and toothpaste kit. would 100% recommend this hotel during a stay in Istanbul.
• Ribka (8/5): Ok but wont repeat - Hotel OK - good location. Don't book / pay extra for room with sea view though - did this and i was on 4th floor, all i can see is the building in front of me vs skyline. Called the manager / receptionist to rectify it but the only reason was hotel full booked (guys then dont sell the room) although i see people from 7th floor checking out. Also they dont mind calling you at 11pm (oupsie) to offer taxi service incase you need it for the checkout. 11pm!!!! luckily i was alone and not with my baby, i would be so livid. the only nice thing is the service in restaurant, very smily.

Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, perfekt für Erkundungen in der Umgebung. Die Zimmer sind makellos sauber und bieten hohen Komfort. Ein gutes Frühstücksbuffet – eine vielfältige Auswahl mit einer traumhaften Aussicht, die den Start in den Tag besonders macht. Ein großes Lob geht an das Personal, insbesondere Sinan, der durch seine freundliche und aufmerksame Art den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Ein Hotel, in das ich jederzeit gerne zurückkehre!

• Xiuping (8/5): - The hotel located is very good. It's located between old town and new town. Close to all transportations. Breakfast was very delicious. Food is fresh. The only complaint was the hair dryer didn't work properly. If you use it for 1 minute and try to turn it back on, it didn't work. You'll have to wait 5 minutes for it to work again. Contact the receptionist. Wa told to wait till the next morning. The hotel should have a spare hair dryer just in case the wall unit doesn't work instead of having the customer wait till the next morning for the repairs with wet hair.
• Susan (8/5): Decent place in convenient location - Business type hotel in very handy location-you can walk across Galata bridge to Sultanamet or stroll Karakoy easily. Staff are pleasant and were helpful for booking airport shuttle.
• Karsten Oliver (10/5): - Das Hotel liegt sehr praktisch direkt an der Galatabrücke, an einer sehr belebten Strasse. Die SchallschutzFenster funktionieren aber gut. Der Blick von der Dachterasse ist super. Das Bett war sehr bequem, das Zimmer und Bad sehr sauber, das Personal immer sehr zuvorkommend. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr vielfältig und lecker. Wir würden immer wieder kommen, Vielen Dank für alles!
• Saeed (4/5): Don't trust the hotel ratings - I stayed at double tree Hilton hotel in the same trip. With the same price i had a much bigger room on the highest floor and sea view. It had free pool and gym. It was next to the Kadikoy iskele and near the metro station. We had a bath tub in the shower. The wifi in the momento hotel was awful with slow speed. The breakfast was not good and the barista served coffee and milk instead of espresso with milk when you ordered cappuccino. The juices where artificial. And the water bottle was not refilled for the room every day. The staff got a taxi for us and the driver ruined our day with his behavior. I don’t suggest this hotel to anyone else.

• Jack (8/5): - Great location for getting anywhere Istanbul has to offer. Helpful staff but the housekeeping is hit and miss. You only get 1 bottle of water per room which is a bit stupid. Still it is a good hotel for the price point. Location is top notch, 1 block from the Galata Bridge and Metro Line 1. Plus 50 feet from the Tunnel tram right up to Taksin. Buy one Metro card, load it with some money and pass it around to your party for Metro travel. No need to buy each one a card.

Alle Mitarbeiter waren mega freundlich nur am lächeln und hilfsbereit.. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral was ich sehr toll fand direkt in der Nähe Bahn und Taxi stände Zu Eminönü muss man nur über die Brücke laufen man ist sofort da ich bin vom Hotel Mega positiv überrascht und werde nochmal kommen danke für alles
• KANAMI (10/5): - The hotel is within walking distance of the subway and tram stations, so it is very convenient for transportation. It is also convenient to take the tram to the Blue Mosque. I booked a sea view room, so I could see the Golden Horn, Galata Bridge, mosques, etc., and the view was great both day and night. The room was clean and nice. The front desk staff, breakfast staff, and room cleaning staff were all kind. It would be perfect if the bathroom could be improved in drainage. Overall, I loved this hotel, and I would like to stay here again when I come to Istanbul.

Both pillows were very hard and inflexible and not very comfortable to sleep on. The shower door would open only half way. Front desk was notified and they alerted their handy man to fix it. We would stay there again.

• Gül (8/5): - Hotel an sich hat uns sehr gefallen, unsere Aussicht direkt ans Meer war bezaubernd. Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis daher super! Zimmer sauber, Umgebung perfekt. Nur das Personal könnte freundlicher sein und mehr lachen, da hatten wir nicht viel Kontakt meist kein Hallo und kein Tschüss, wie man es bei einem teueren 5 Sterne Hotel gewohnt ist. Aber das ist kein Drama, hauptsächlich die Zimmer waren sauber und das Hotel war gut! Empfehle ich jeden.
• michelle (2/5): - we requested a baby bed (crib) in advance of our reservation and upon arrival, the bed was broken and unsafe for our baby. our baby had to sleep in a carseat because sleeping in the hotel provided bed would have been a threat for his life.

• Jorg Heinz (8/5): Verlängertes Wochenende mit Familie in Istanbul - Die Lage des MOMENTO Golden ist sehr gut! In der unmittelbaren Umgebung viele kleine Geschäfte und Cafés/Bars/Restaurants. Frühstück im Hotel im 8. Stock mit wunderbarem Blick über den Bosporus. Auch nachts toller Blick auf Topkapi, Blaue Moschee, etc. sehr freundlicher Empfang und Service, sehr hilfreich 👍💪, nicht nur touristisch.

• Robert (10/5): Boutique Pleasure - I always stay here when passing through Istanbul, and the staff always make me feel special. The location is walkable to all the major tourist locations plus the tram is close.
• Ahmed (10/5): - We stayed for a week, this hotel is amazing in every way, it is 3 minutes from transit to both Sultan Ahmet and Istiqlal area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Don’t forget to eat at the Michelin start restaurant at the roof, it is way better and cheeper than eating at regular restaurants.

The Terrace where Breakfast was served had wonderful view facing the Galata bridge. Great location.Close to Galata tower, Galata bridge and Galata port which has lots of dining options. If you want go to Istiklal caddesi the Funicular is the best option which is located right next to Hotel.

• Peter Vander (2/5): - Unfortunately 1 star! We had a great time in Istanbul but on the last morning the staff completely ruined it, giving them only 1 star from us. We recommend arranging airport transfers in advance, not through the hotel as they drop you off! We were dropped off after already 25 minutes at the wrong airport even though we explicitly said it was an hour away (the other airport is an hour away from the hotel). Fortunately, the driver quickly got us through but the hotel asked us to pay an extra €120! A disgrace! A taxi from Sabiha airport to the city centre normally costs between €25-€35, we had already paid €35 to the hotel and they asked for extra money again. We did not accept this, they then asked for €80 and so on. In the end, we only paid the driver an extra €10 because of his quick service. Is scamming the tourists.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Booked online for 3 nights and on check in was told I had to move rooms after the first night. The first night’s room had a better view than the 2nd and 3rd night’s room but I would have preferred not to have had to move at all. The inferior room was nice and would have been fine for 3 nights. Otherwise, the hotel was clean, comfortable, had excellent amenities and restaurant, was well located and had very friendly, professional staff. To be recommended.

Great service, great food (Tershane is an excellent restaurant with great service and value - avoid Galata bridge fish restaurants!), despite being on a very busy (and entertaining) road, the windows block all the noise out. Nice little seating area and good size, clean rooms. Just be careful when booking a transfer, quite pricey, think we accidentally got VIP transfer so cost 50 euros! Clarify before booking.

• Robert (6/5): Very Central - The Hotel is in a wonderful position, but of course very noisy being in the middle of the city. The Staff were very friendly, but we had a big problem with people wanting to help, and saying "yes" when it very quickly became obvious they did not understand what we had asked. This went through the hotel from front desk to restaurant. I stress they were wanting to help and polite, just our communication in english was amusing, so be patient and smile. The room we booked looked out onto the sea, and the bed and linen was very comfortable. The room, although non-smoking, stunk of cigarettes so the windows need to stay open. The bathroom was well equipped, and the tv had english channels. Internet was fast. Breakfast was very nice each morning, and held in the restaurant on the top level looking out onto the sea and old city. The tram stop is only 100 metres from the Hotel, as is a Ferry stop. • Atul (4/5): - We did not get the room we had booked via Expedia but instead got the correct room type on a lower floor meaning the view out to the bridge was blocked by an old tower blocked across the road. When we asked we need the room we had booked, they said 'hotel fully booked' and no other explanation was given. I had booked this room on the 7th of January and our stay was for 4 nights from 23rd of May 2023!! We feel the hotel gives preference to others and very unfairly treated especially as we had paid the maximum rate as shown on Expedia website. Basically, the photos mis represent what you would get when you get there. Otherwise, the staff are very friendly and courteous. Restaurant on top floor has stunning views looking towards the city and all the mosques but price is a little high for what we ate. This is expected as I assume they charge more as the views out are amazing.

• Meredith (10/5): - The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. We loved our room - great view and very clean! We loved having a morning coffee and a sunset drink at the rooftop bar! The location was very central - easy to get to different parts of the city via public transit, ferry, or walking. I would definitely stay here again!

• Alena (4/5): - The hotel itself is ok… however, the front desk staff is extremely dodgy… trying to play games, saying the reservation isn’t there, even though it is, trying to scam my colleague into “upgrading” the room for extra $50, when I’m fact being already had that “lux” room, not wiling to call the cab for us before we left, just absolutely horrible

• Sarah (10/5): Amazing honeymoon stay! - We had an exceptional experience staying here on our honeymoon! Service was great and they kindly decorated our room with balloons and petals and gave us the best view of the golden horn where you can see the galata bridge, Hagia Sofia, and suleymaniye mosque. Some people complain about the random old building that blocks some of the view but we thought it added character. The rooftop view is even more stunning and the restaurant is excellent (get the lamb kebap with shallots and pomegranate!) Cool bathroom too where you can shower and take in the view! Loved the Juliet balcony. Bed was super comfortable. Serdar and Eren were very kind employees.
• Garry (8/5): - The hotel is located very close to the Golden Horn area within easy travelling to all the sights. The hotel is very nice and the staff were outstanding. This is my 'go to' hotel when staying in Istanbul.
• ???????? (10/5): - Enjoyed the stay, all the staff is polite especially the bell staff, the prices and location is good as well as the reastouran,would recomend to anybody, stayed there in may 2022.

• Fozia (6/5): - Asked for a sea view but it was obstructed by an ugly tall buildings which seemed to be some kind of warehouse. The street itself is pretty poor, but excellent location for links to metro, boat or simply walking. The room itself didn't have a working usb port and the staff made no attempt to fix it. The staff are lovely, breakfast is great and really cheap (relative to the UK), where I paid 190 lira for two people. Great views from the restaurant too. The balcony door didn't close properly so you could hear a lot of traffic. I probably wouldn't stay here again, but that's just because I'm picky when it comes to my accommodation and I think the small things matter.

• Maaz (8/5): Good hotel for a quick night stay in Istanbul - Good hotel, staff was eager to assist in any way they could. View was fantastic and the best part of staying at this hotel. The room I was in was cramped but I believe other rooms may have been bigger. There was a weird smell in the bathroom but nothing too crazy. Breakfast was sufficient but the view made it phenomenal. Good location, steps to tram to go to Sultanahmet one way or Taksim the other. Traffic noises were somewhat bothersome. Overall I’d say it’s a good hotel if you need to stay for a night or two on a budget but don’t want to sacrifice a nice view (actually I’d call it breathtaking).
