Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (2/5): Awful service and room - A disaster from the get go, first there was no one at reception, none of the three numbers displayed on the reception door were answering. After many attempts we managed to get though to someone who literally said he was unable to help us.
After half an hour of wait and worry, a young lady passed by and whom we asked for assistance. Thankfully, even though she wasn't a member of staff, she manged to direct us to a room (room17) and provided us with towels. The whole room was dirty and there was an obvious lack of upkeep as there were cobwebs everywhere, the bathroom door would not open nor close hence a lack of privacy.
To make matters worse we were rudely awaken at half past midnight, with very heavy banging on the door by the supposed owner who unprofessionally demanded to know who we were and that we were in the wrong room. when nobody was there to reception us in the first place.
The second night was not much better, this time there was door banging on next to us round 5am then they proceeded to carry out some works round 6. All in all a terrible experience and we never once ended up seeing a member of staff.
I shall be grateful if you could guide us to were we could log in a complaint as I would like a full refund
- Martyn (6/5): - Very basic but did it's job for one night,
- Michel (2/5): - Granted, it was cheap. It is NOT a B&B in the classic sense, just some instant coffee sticks and sugar, not even condensed milk. No breakfast whatsoever, except for the charm of a microwave and a fridge, both close to claiming civil rights.
It gave the vibes of a terribly cheap motel. The interior is terribly worn down and damaged, the bed knackered, the bathroom moldy. The door to the outside a very flimsy and worn down plastic that would not withstand any half-serious attempt of poking.
No towels or shower soap whatsoever, only some thinned down hand soap. At least toilet paper was present.
Wifi was there - but no password provided. Yet the office's network was left completely unprotected. I did not connect to that for concerns of it being compromised and a danger to my own equipment.
- Richard (6/5): In the middle of countryside! - Well a cracking position in Cheshire, the situation is perfect..However, soap and towels have to be requested..
The rooms are a little worn and could do with a deep clean and some paint!
Other than that TV, kettle & Microwave(nice touch)..
A brilliant base for exploring Cheshire!
- Tracey (2/5): - We stayed in room 11, It wasnt the cleanist of places, cowebs everywhere, empty malteser packet in the draw, liquid soap was watered down in the bathroom, no towels, which is on the list of things in the room, so we couldnt shower, as we didnt bring our own!!! also states a hob, that wasnt there either!! The doormat was taped together, smelt musky when we went in there!!
I know you get what you pay for but this was unexceptable!!! Glad we only stayed the night, we were gone by 6am!!! đ§đ§đ§đ§
It didn't look anything like the pic on the advert
- Nathan (2/5): - Where to start! Finally found it after driving down a lane. Arrived to find note on reception with a number to call. Called the number few times for her to say key is in the back of the room door ready. Room 2 was behind us. BBQ on grass but not as pictured, very run down. Walked to room 2, open the door to be hit by the smell of wet damp dog, finally entered the room and when I say shambles from stains on the floor, pubic hair in sink, poo still in toilet, something running down the fridge inside and out, cutlery that looks rusty and havenât been cleaned and chipped mugs and also stained as well. Pulled back the duvet on the bed, this can only be described as non clean linen. Was not going to be staying the night there. The pictures on ad where no where to be found. Finally got through to reception and expressed our concern about the room and the cleanliness of it and asked for alternate room to be told there is only 1 available which was room 3 but the place of more than 12 rooms looked abandoned. Went to room 3 which 1/4 of the mirror was smashed and no longer on the wall where it should be, cobwebs and spiders and dust everywhere. Dirt thatâs probably been sat there for months. General filth in the room. Went back to reception and rung the woman to say we wonât be staying she said leave the keys in box and hung up. So after travelling 4hrs to get there to then having to spend x3 the price on top & travel an extra 30 mins to a new hotel which was amazing unlike this dump
- martin (8/5): - You'll need to manage your expectations if staying here.
Its cheap & its cheap for a reason.
Its not Travelodge style accommodation, but (I suspect) cheaply built and maintained block of approx 15 holiday camp type rooms in a working farm yard.
I stayed in room 12 that had been recently painted & had a new carpet.
Lovely hot shower, comfortable bed, working kettle.
No towels supplied but i expected this from other reviews.
& no breakfast despite plenty of signs saying B&B.
I feel its sensibly priced for the room.
- Claire (2/5): - Arrived at the reception and telephoned the number. Told that room 5. was ours and that the key was in the door. Noticed when got in that the kettle was dusty and the place looked well worn by had not paid much so didn't expect 5 star! Went for dinner then on closer inspection on our return noticed that the toilet was still dirty from the previous occupants and that nothing! (Maybe the duvet cover and pillow cases, even though the duvet smelt musty) Had been cleaned. There was mold in the shower and wardrobe areas and an absolute mass of cobwebs that would not have happened overnight. Having messaged the phone number previously rang asking for the room to be cleaned. We heard NOTHING back! Complained to Expedia and moved on next day as too late by then to go elsewhere and couldn't ask my son to sleep in the car! Terrible customer service as would have given them a chance to rectify these problems...
- k (2/5): Bad experience - Unfortunately this was a bad experience for myself, wife and son.
Upon arrival and an exiting our vehicle, we were met by an overpowering smell of cannabis emanating across the area.
The room was very very dated and my son was crying due to the stability of the bunk bed, crying himself to sleep.
I would say that the accommodation decor was approximately 25 - 30 years old at least.
The doors were extremely old and dated, along with the toilet area which was covered in stains and mold.
The walls are paper thin and we could hear the conversation of the person in the room next door, this was made worse as at 115am I thought they were coming through the wall following an almighty thud?
I got limited sleep due to all these issues.
The accommodation in fairness from the outside looks presentable, however internally is in need of major upgrades.
Unfortunately would not recommend.
- Adrian (8/5): - Excellent value for little outlay
- David (4/5): - I stayed in room 10.
Comfortable bed.
Shower worked well with plenty of hot water.
The room has a faint musty smell like in old places.
I didnât get any towels â had to improvise.
The room was old, scuff marks on the walls, Fluff and cobwebs in corners.
- Sylvia (2/5): Do not stay here - A B&B that doesn't offer breakfast, towels or even a toilet roll should not be described as a B&B, even self catering with the standard of cleanliness is debatable. Chipped mugs, stained carpets, mouldy grouting, frayed carpets, blood stained pillows and pillowcases, rusty microwave, to name but a few of the major objections to why you should book here. Yes it's reasonably priced but there are still standards that should be met
- Adrian (8/5): - Warm and comfortable . Maybe a budget hotel but value for money in my opinion
- Adrian (8/5): - Maybe a budget type of stay but was warm comfortable and hot water in plenty . Worth the very fair price
- Richard (4/5): - Black mold in the shower/bath, carpet was filthy, inside of door surround dirty, the hedge at the roadside of the drive was blocking the view to the right making it unsafe, very little heating.
- Khushal (2/5): - Very Bad Service
No one was there on Reception to attend and Guide
No Cleaning
Damaged Door
Dirty Bedsheets and Washroom
- Vaseva (2/5): - Mold in the bathing, dated decor
- Verified traveler (2/5): Almost comically bad - You don't expect luxury for ÂŁ80 a night but this place is extraordinary!
The indoor hallway leading to the room was strewn with wet leaves. Towels are 'on request', so we requested some and were given 3 towels one of which was filthy. The bathroom door didn't close properly so we had to listen to each other pee. And when we left this morning we were chased off the property by barking dogs.
A memorable experience.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay away!!!! - Awful! Stay away!!!
Room smelt and felt damp and dirty as soon as you walked in. Carpet was filthy. Marks on wall. Mould all around the doors and windows.
We preferred the option of a 4 hour drive in the middle of the night, rather than stay here.
Despite messaging Chelford B&B and Hotels.com no refund was given.
- Mark (2/5): Sleep in the car - Was not good. Poor room. Mould all over. Bedding smelled. Matress was hard and uncomfy bedding not clean
. Shower dirty, shocking, my partner woke up with bites on his head and itching all over
- Zoe (2/5): I slept in my car should say it all - Mouldy, dirty, bathroom bin had other peoples "bathroom rubbish" in it. Stains on bedding. See photos. One of the mouldy patches was above one of the beds. Was staying as a pit stop before an early flight. Slept in my car instead.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The hotel did not provide any towels nor soap to wash hands. The bathroom sliding door was stuck and we struggled to close it every time someone needed the loo. No hot water so unable to take shower (not that I would have ......)
This is advertised as a B&B but when we called to enquire about it in the morning, they advised that they stopped serving breakfast since COVID but they still have pictures of breakfast on their pages....
Carpet has seen better days..... Overall poor condition even for a 2 star hotel!
- Wendy (2/5): Terrible. I've stayed in cleaner hostels! - Absolutely awful. We checked out immediately and requested a refund.
Room filthy and bedding had been slept in. It was the lower body hair hanging from the shower head that really grossed us out. Bathroom hasnt been cleaned. This property should be removed from hotels.com
Hotels.com have been great supporting us with this request.however the refund has been denied.
- stephen (6/5): room - just needed a place to stay for an event about 30 minutes away, it's location was handy and the room was okay for what I needed
- John (2/5): - Managed to find the poorly signposted farm track that leads to these poorly constructed chalet blocks. A handwritten sign on the "reception" said "Check in at 4pm - call first" and listed 2 telephone numbers. As we were to early having had a good run from London we left to return later. Phoned at a quarter to 4 to be told "You're in room 8, the keys in the door". Returned and went in to find a squalid room with a filthy carpet, a lavatory that smelled of pee and a toaster that can only be described as a health hazard. We turned around and walked out. No-one on site to speak to directly so we left and stayed somewhere else despite having already paid. Left a WhatsApp message on the number later - no response. Thoroughly NOT recommended.
- Roland (2/5): - No receptionist on arrival bedsheets stained photographic evidence. Duvet dirty with specs of black over. No soap gel or towels. Cistern broken. Worst accommodation Weâve stayed in.
- Lauren (2/5): - The room was dirty and dated
- Neil (2/5): Filthy dump - Dirty hovel left halfway through my stay no room cleaning microwave was thick with used food horrible conditions
- Robert (2/5): - Booked a twin room as was st at staying with my daughter before flights from Manchester. Location was great, unfortunately down hill rapidly from then on. Initially given double room which had huge mould on the roof. Cobwebs everywhere, dirty mouldy bathroom with no towels or toiletries as advertised. The room smelt damp, bedding had red blood spot in it and smelt fusty. Bed was uncomfortable with old style spring mattress pillow was lumpy. The neighbouring room left 1 hour after arriving which I would have done if I could find a different hotel with parking. Also no breakfast available at a B B. Overall a real disappointing stay. Cheap for a reason
- Jessica (6/5): - The light in the bath room didnt work. No towels, lamp had no shade on and didnt work. Bed was lovely. No hot water in morning
- Bernard (2/5): - It was grubby. No breakfast. If we wanted to provide some toast of our own there were no knives to cut it. The whole thing is. A shabby set up.
- Nicky (4/5): - The property had a basic level of cleanliness, but was very tired. One out of two bedside lamps were working and the ceiling light was dirty and broken. The bedding was clean and the bed comfortable but the mattress protector and mattress were dirty. Bathroom very small and needed a good clean. The room had a microwave, kettle and crockery.
There was a step up to the room and the paving outside was cracked in two.
Overall it was a bed for the night. You get what you pay for.
- Martin (2/5): - The rooms are absolutely filthy! Carpets are crusted with dirt, sheets and bedding was stained. Pillows stank of urine. Mold in the bathroom, just absolutely shocking!!!
- Nicola (2/5): The stay that we didnât stay for - I wouldn't bother. My partner & I booked this in a hurry as we were traveling to see family. I didnt take enough time to read the reveiws. Once in the room, it was disgusting. Everywhere was dirty & there was back mould growing up the skirting boards. We took photos, got in tough with Hotels.com & left
- David (2/5): - Place is falling apart, we got put in room two and left as it was absolutely horrific, we have taken a lot of pictures and will upload them after our refund has been issued.
- Jill (6/5): - Good value for money. Good quiet location. Quiet basic accommodation, but clean.
- Kevin (2/5): Dirty, horrible and bedbugs - Stained carpets, broken bathroom fittings, damp patches, cobwebs in corner of room, only four squares of toilet paper for one week.
But this wasnât anything compared to waking up with bedbugs!
I know itâs budget, but come off it⌠I would have rather slept under a tree.
I left after the first night.
- alex (2/5): - Very dirty
- Craig (4/5): - Stayed in room 6, twin room. Check in was a case of phoning a number and the room was already open with the key in the door. Having the microwave and the fridge is a plus. Property was cold and felt damp. Black mould in cupboard area and in the bathroom. No hot water in the morning and there were no towels. WiFi was bad in our room. Unfortunately I wouldnât stay here again.
- christopher (8/5): Bungalows beside a farm - After a rather pot holed approach road to the site you are greeted by a terraced bungalow complex. On my second night I discovered there is accommodation in the attic with bare floor boards- I had a rather noisy person above me! These should be carpeted as a courtesy to those on the ground floor. The person who checked me in was pleasant but not thorough with information. I met her in the grounds as I was checking out and her dog was growling at me.My room was adequate and nicely carpeted with effective heating, wifi, comfortable bed, decent sized tv for the room space, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, plates and cutlery. The bathroom had a shower cubicle and a small sink that was placed low. patience was required for warm water to flow. It also had a sliding door that left a gap, so not entirely private. Breakfast and 24 hour reception are mentioned in the details but neither of these are a reality. Ample space for free parking. Be careful when driving/riding out of the site, the view of the busy main road is restricted by high hedges and any traffic moves fast.
- Dean (2/5): Avoid! - Absolutely awful place, run down, smelly, no way worth ÂŁ60 a night!
I checked in and promptly left, went down the road and got a lovely room at Hollin House Hotel for the same money.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing accommodation - The check-in time was up to midnight, however, luckily we received a phone call beforehand letting us know that check-in had closed and where to find the key.
It wasn't clear on arrival where the reception was.
The bedding smelt very musty and neither of the two lamps or the television worked.
When booking, and in the information email we received, it said that there was WIFI. However, there was no password given.
We were awoken at 1am by other guests who decided to play music and talk loudly on the trampoline, which was just outside our room. They quietened a little after they were asked to by my husband at around 1:30am. Whilst we appreciate that the owners can't control what their guests do, it did state in their information that guests were expected to keep noise down to a minimum.
- gordon (10/5): - Good value for the money well equipped clean and comfortable well done will use when in the area again
- ick (6/5): - Area around accommodation was scruffy and there was no information in the room about wi-fi passcode. No towel in bathroom.
- chris (2/5): - ?staff at check-in very rude and unhelpful had to ask for towels they were stained room very dirty cobwebs and spiders all over walls and carpets stained bathroom and wardrobe ceiling paint flakes all over tiles around shower black wouldn't have a shower in there, altogether the room was disgraceful and would not recommend this accommodation to anyone
- Desmond (6/5): - Reception answered calls straight away and provided me with everything that I needed.
- Robert (4/5): - I am sorry but the accommodation had not been cleaned very well if at all, the floor the showroom, etc, so we did not use any of the appliances in the room
- Julia (2/5): Should be removed - Just awful and couldn't stay there, refused to give a refund!
Dirty, broken beds, broken mirror, broken shower, broken tv, no towels, said free breakfast and none!, owner family playing football on centre bit and kicking into room walls while occupied.
Owners not helpful.
- Carol (2/5): Avoid - Absolutely filthy bathroom, old towel, just the one, totally flat cushions instead of pillows, advertised as Bed and Breakfast but haven't given breakfast since lockdown. Terrible place - best avoided. Got accused of booking for 1 as only 1 towel, had to ask gor another, had to ask for another pillow, only had 1 so i had kneck pains, had to ask for pillow case. Disgusting and dirty
- Donnel (2/5): Bed with no breakfast - Arrival was met with others waiting in the carpark for approx 45mins as nobody in reception? We were then given keys from behind a partially closed door and left to find our rooms. In the rooms the initial thought was dated but clean...unfortunately the room was not to my liking...Microwave oven dirty, shower head dirty and not working correctly and mattress topper very dirty. I ended up sleeping on tpp of duvet in my clothes. Not a great experience 2/10 for some effort. Unable to add photos!!
- Duncan (4/5): - The Property was clean and there was ample parking.
However My Room had no towels and despite all the ads, marketing and promotion apparently
"We have not served breakfast since Covid"
There is NO breakfast available not even the basic items. Seems like an extremely poor excuse not ti have to do anything but charge for it anyway Personally I wouldnt bother with a Bed and Breakfast until it the owners realise what that actually means and stop making excuses.
Is it really that hard to ammend your details in booking sites to state no breakfast is available
- Georgios (2/5): Donât stay - The condition was disgusting, there was cracks, mould and it smelt really bad. The smoke alarm was removed. There was no heating although the owner said she turned it on. There was no breakfast as stated on the advert. The kettle was filled with lime scale which then went in the coffee. There were no towels provided and the bunk bed was not safe for the kids to sleep on so they had to sleep on the floor.
- Jeffrey (6/5): not bad, I will stay there again - The picture opposite certainly doesn't reflect the bedroom I stayed in.
The lodge is more tuned to a stay of convenience rather than a business trip, but the bed was comfortable which was the main thing.
The hot tap didn't work properly on the basin, and the bath and basin mastic was covered in mould.
The carpet looked like a party had been spillled all over it, through the early hours the neighbours had total inconsideration's for other guests, shouting and banging doors, I didn`t know where to go for the breakfast bit so I just left the morning after.
Having said all this, it is convenient for a short stay, the price only reflects the minimum standard, all this is made up for by the location views and animal life round the complex, and the flea market at weekend.
Some of us survive on tea and coffee, can I suggest more milk is left in the fridge.
- John (2/5): - Untidy sheets stained.cobwebs everywhere dead bugs on the walls .old dirty rug and carpets .no iron.no breakfast has included in the price no refund.left 1 day early couldn.t stay any longer
- Ann (6/5): A bit dated but could be a great place - Place needs a bit of tlc to make it a nice place to stay. Room could have been checked prior to arrival as full of spiders and their webs.
Having said that it is on a farm and spiders do live in the countryside.
Priced very reasonably so the ritz was not expected. Beds creaky but we slept well. Sheets were clean. Towels provided when requested. Tea, coffee, milk. Kettle fridge and microwave in our room. Disappointed that there was no breakfast as it trades as a b&b. But when i asked i was told this was down to covid, but it should have a private breakfast in the room not sure how thus relates. All in all , it was a room to sleep in - wiuld we stay again ? Yes if the need arose.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Had everything you need but wasnt very clean bed side lamps wasnt plugged in when we checked why the socket was hanging off the wall bathroom was filthy couldnt have a brew has the kettle was disgusting full of limescale
- David (6/5): Short stay break. - This was advertised as a b&b when in fact is bed only yes tea and coffee was available in room thanks good there was a shop 2 miles away.
- Bas (2/5): - The room and toilet really dirty and smell bad. A B&B with no breakfast. Cobwebs and dust everywhere.
- Karen (2/5): Extremely poor - This place is of extremely poor quality and you should de-list it and not advertise it again. It is advertised as a B&B - what B&B doesnât serve breakfast and is still using Covid as an excuse. No towels at all, not even paper hand towels! Dirty stained carpet, horrible mugs if you dare use them - extremely uncomfortable bed. Sliding bathroom door pretty well broken and difficult to close. I want a full refund and a promise that you wonât let any other poor unsuspecting customer book it again.
- Daniel (6/5): - A little run down and wasn't clear there wouldn't be towels provided
- Trevor (6/5): Lazy owners taking the mickey ! - Such a shame as the place could be lovely with not much cost or effort !!
States B&B , but not available !! Owner says due to Covid they were not giving breakfast although it states on our confirmation' continental breakfast included'...felt cheated ! and owner said it did say on website but it was vague đđ, anyway Covid is supposedly over, so just an excuse . These little chalets could be so nice, but they were unclean, with cobwebs, we had NO towels provided and half a toilet roll !! Unbelievable !!
Luckily i had read the reviews and had taken towels and toilet roll with us !!
But i think they are taking the mickey charging ÂŁ60 for the room .
Obviously we will not return !
- Verified traveler (8/5): fine! - Room was fine you get what you pay for, didnt have a fridge though and could of been a bit cleaner. Hosts were very accommodating letting us check in early, overall no problems other than they do not have towels but you can ask just wish i knew beforehand. Absolutely fine for the cost though!
- Wilson (2/5): - Very poor!
N
- Gordon (4/5): - I did not like to be told on arrival that we would get no breakfast and no towels
- Helen (2/5): - I stayed at the B&B on Sunday 12th December and to say I was disappointed is a gross understatement. When we checked in, after a couple of phone calls, we were greeted by someone in a dressing gown. I had booked a room with a double bed but got twin beds. The room was cold, the central heating wasnât working but above all else, it wasnât particularly clean. The paint was peeling off the ceiling, it was damp, the carpet was stained, the shower was appalling and there were cobwebs everywhere. At ÂŁ40 a night I expected basic but clean accommodation and this wasnât anywhere close to that. I did say I was interested in hearing what the thoughts were of the B&B but have never heard anything from them
- Lyndon (2/5): Stay somewhere else - Would not stay again. Booked a double room but got a twin. Complained and was told there were no doubles available and the only room available was the family room, which we moved to at no additional charge. Friends had also booked a double and got a twin, but on complaining to a different person they were given keys to a double. The heating however did not work in the original twin or the double, so they opted for another twin for warmth. On asking for a local taxi company, was told to Google it. The room rate included breakfast, but were told that they have stopped doing breakfast and towels because of covid. I felt was just a cop out regarding the towels as surely they have to clean bedding, so what difference does cleaning towels make? Bedding in our original twin room was stained. Lots of cobwebs, a spider even joined me for a shower. Shower handle was scummy and ceiling had mold. Decor not finished. Holes in walls and ceilings. Smoke detector casing missing. Drinking glass in the room was stained. Heard doors banging throughout the night as walls seem prefabricated. Power extension and cables left hanging. Mattress also past due for needing replacement. I wouldn't be surprised if the accommodation was originally used to house any 'hired help' on the farm, and since altered it's purpose as a B&B.
- j (6/5): would not return - there add said with Breakfast but there excuse for not providing it was covid no offer of refund.
heater they provided was not working
cups were dirty
- Meneza (4/5): - The long countryside journey ride was good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not too bad - Didnt recieve any towels, toiletries, or breakfast.
- Chloe (4/5): Dont expect much - Arrived at around 5pm nobody at reception. Had to call the number on the window to get our key.
Room very basic and very dated. Could do with a bit of a makeover. Shower room dirty. So many cobwebs on the ceiling. Half used toilet roll next to toilet. I suggest they no longer call it a b&b as there was no breakfast offering. Paid ÂŁ50 for the night. Would of been ok for bed and breakfast but since it was just a bed for the night i feel the price should be lowered
- Paul (4/5): - Overall my stay at this accommodation was very disappointing and not as expected, particularly given its title of the accommodation. I both texted and emailed the property prior to arrival (having had no answer to my phone call) with regard to queries over breakfast. No response received. It was only on arrival that I was told that no Breakfast or towels would be provided (Covid cant be an excuse for lack of towels as staff would still need to change the bedding). The owners claimed that the lack of these services were detailed on the accommodation website - No reference was made on Expedia with regard to this. Cutlery, crockery microwave and toaster were supplied in the room but no facilities or equipment to wash up. The bathroom and shower cubical were in bad need of an in-depth clean and the shower had no head on it. All, in all, reminded me of staying in a holiday camp in the sixties - Certainly not worth the cost
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't bother - No breakfast provided. No towels or bath mat provided. No wifi. Not very clean - cobwebs everywhere including the cutlery container, and dirt along the skirting board. Towel rail broken. No water from the cold tap. Shower lukewarm.
- tracey (2/5): Avoud avoid avoid - No1 on reception;no breakfast in room, cobwebs and mould in shower;no bulbs in side lamps,we in a scruffy room between 2 storage rooms
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do not stay here - This was an awful place, possibly the worst place I've ever stayed at. There were cigarette burns on the bed sheets, everything seemed dirty, there were holes in the floor in the bathroom, and the shower filled up like a bath every time you used it. There were also no towels, soap of any kind, one toilet roll, and no breakfast. When we asked the owner why this was she said it was due to COVID-19 which seems like a very poor reason as other places I've stayed at during the pandemic have still offered these. We were also not told in advance and nothing was taken off the price. The standard of this place is so poor, do not stay here.
- Imelda (2/5): NIGHTMARE - Very DIRTY we did try you for help but had NO joy did NOT WANT to stay as it was VERY DIRTY and with covid frightening. WE only stayed one night but had paid for two and as you would NOT help had to go home and cut our trip short Not sure if I would use Hotels.com if this is your standard
- andrew (2/5): Worst hotel in UK - This is the worst hotel I have seen in the IK so dirty we did not stay . Waiting on Hotels.com to sort out a refund.
Canât believe Hotels.com have this on offer.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - All furniture and appliances in the room are very old and shabby. A bit depressing really however we stayed here for 1 night after a wedding and it was warm and functional.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - A bit of a culture shock upon arrival. The property is best described as a motel sited in the middle of a run down farm. Although the rooms are a little tired and in need of an update they are clean and comfortable. The "continental breakfast" made us laugh as it comprised a couple of items in the fridge. All in all the tarrif is fair and if I'm ever in the area again I would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was in need of updating, somewhat faded and tired, bed iffy, and a lot of cobwebs
- Verified traveler (4/5): Expensive for what you get - Poor condition room, expensive. Poor breakfast
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Nowhere to put things when having s shower needs updating
- Isobel (2/5): - We booked for two nights, and left after one so we need our money back for one night for two rooms.
The rooms were dirty, had not been cleaned including the cups and plates. One room had a noisy pump all night so my husband could not sleep at all, so we left.
Please refund one night for two rooms.
- Matt (6/5): Not great... - Very hot today (hottest day of the year) and put in the room with a broken shower. Didn't seem like there were people in the rooms around.
Also room upstairs above the lodging rooms assuming occupied by staff members. Awake at 7am blaring rap music out for all to hear! Great wake up call for all those whose rooms are vibrating!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Very dated. Stale damp smell pervaded the room. Shower was so grubby we waited until we got home, not the best start to the day!
