Guest Reviews
- Natalie (10/5): Lovely cabin in nature. - We were really surprised with how great the cabins were! It is nestled among the tress and is so quiet and dark at night it is lovely. It had all the facilities we needed. The rooms and beds were comfortable, the kitchen facilities and bathroom were also great.
- Judith (9/5): -
- Yvonne (6/5): -
- Rosemarie (7/5): - Although our hosts were helpful and lovely the kitchen had not been cleaned very well, the fridge had not been cleaned and the toaster was overflowing with crumbs. The bed was very comfy tho.
- Paul (8/5): -
- Sasha (10/5): We had a relaxing stay here - The photos do not do this cottage justice. It is much cuter in real life. Being in the forest, it is beautiful and quiet. The beds are super comfy and we had a really relaxing stay. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need.
- Shepherd (10/5): December getaway - As always the chalets was clean and exactly what we expected and so very peaceful. Best of all we're able to take our fur baby March Flies
- Sarah (10/5): - The location and scenery. The host was also very helpful and friendly.
- Sally (8/5): Peaceful, away from it all, in the bush. - Set in the bush, very peaceful . Spacious and tall ceilings. Lovely birds came as we breakfasted outside. A bit dark inside.
- Keren (10/5): Just what we wanted. - Everything was perfect, 100% better than the last place we stayed at. Everything we needed was there, the bed was vert comfortable and the shower was brilliant. Just enjoyed the peace and wuiet and owners very easy to get on with, highly recommend. N/a

- Shelley (10/5): Absolutely brilliant - It’s lovely and quiet there is only 2 cabins on the property so not a huge amount of ppl around making there holiday racket u can come and go as u please and it’s only 5 mins to Augusta and like 20 to all the other caves except the jewel which is just down the road great tourist spot and heaps of fishing areas close by Didn’t have anything I didn’t like.
- Sheryl (10/5): a fantastic spot to holiday/have a weekend retreat and relax in the bush .we loved every minute. - This is an amazing place set tucked away in the bush with the towering trees and grasstrees. It is roomy and beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The beds are excellent. The bathroom roomy with rails for the older members and the kitchen well designed. Our small dog was very welcome as well. We had a wonderful stay and loved every minute. there are bush trails to walk, open paddocks for a feeling of space, heaps of kangaroos . David the host is excellent and on hand for any issues in his nearby home but the buildings are all well separated so you feel like you very private . It is close to the lovely rocky bays and beaches and to Augusta to explore and for plenty of good dining options in Augusta, nothing we loved everything.
- Caroline (9/5): Relaxing and convenient - Quiet and close to where we were attending a wedding Got a bit damp… some evidence of damp on curtains ( bit of mould on curtain linings) a heater in the bedroom might help
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Great hosts, very friendly and helpful.
Great location.
Comfortable accommodation.
- Vikram (10/5): Serene, Tranquil - Serene, Tranquil, wonderful place nestled among greenery. Highly recommended vacation place to get away from the stressful city life. Wrenwood is also close to tourist attractions like Jewel caves, Hamelin bay.
The nearest supermarket / restaurant is around 10 minutes by car.
- Elaine (8/5): Very good - Location
- David (9/5): Superb - Everything was amazing NA
- Clare (10/5): Perfect for a family retreat or private getaway. - Beautiful cabins with gorgeous surrounding bushland and well maintained walking trails right out your back door. Privacy and everything you need, comfy beds.
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely bush setting, everything you need, wifi was good too
- Tracey (9/5): A Hidden Treasure - From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Phoenix, Rob, & Sian and shown around Chalet 2.
It was so thoughtfully set up, both indoors and outdoors, and very private.
Indoors:
The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, microwave, stove, oven, toaster, big fridge/freezer.
Dining table was large and chairs were lovely.
Rainwater throughout the chalet, lovely rainwater!
The water got so hot very quickly which made for a lovely hot shower.
Great big, open flat floor shower with rails, really accessible.
Also had a rail beside the toilet.
The lounge room had a big TV, lots of DVDs and a big comfy couch.
We only used one of the bedrooms, but the queen bed was so comfortable, we slept like babies.
There was even a glass sliding door to the outside verandah which was lovely to have open at night.
Power points both sides of the bed which was much appreciated.
Washing machine and soap powder was so unexpected, but really needed as our puppy had been car sick on the way up.
Outdoors:
Great BBQ, and the chairs outside were so comfortable.
Parking was massive, easy turn around with a trailer.
Great verandah with large undercover clothes line.
Grounds:
We went for walks through the 100 acres of natural bush. It was so peaceful. Lots of birdlife and kangaroos.
I have mobility issues, and the tracks were very easy to walk.
Perfectly set up to have a puppy stay as well. Our little boy was warmly welcomed both by Phoenix and her baby sitters.
Very close to the Caves, Hamelin Bay, Margaret River, and Augusta.
Wrenwood is such a Hidden Treasure, what a delightful stay we had!
Thank you so much, we're sure to return again. It was quite dark inside each room so I think the lighting needs an update.
- Kirstin (7/5): Lovely cabins in very quiet setting - Very peaceful forest setting. Really helpful, friendly owners Very dark inside
- Sue (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brett (10/5): - The owners are very helpful and caring. Never a problem and even let the kids help with the chickens.
Our dog was also very welcomed.
- Silvia (9/5): Superb - The setting, everything very cozy and comfy. The owner very nice and welcoming. Nothing really. A bit far from cafe/testaurant
- George (10/5): - We were looking for a quiet get away for a couple of nights and Wrenwood was perfect. Chalet was comfortable, the bush outlook serene, and not too far from Augusta. The big boomer (kangaroo) hopping past the kitchen window and the family of wrens in the trees behind the chalet were a bonus.
- Jackie (10/5): Excellent stay in Augusta - David was a good host. He got everything you need from bbq to starlink internet in his cabins. It is very close to the Jewel Cave. One of the few places that allows pets in cabins around Augusta area.
- Dianne (9/5): Comfortable chalet in a bush setting. - Good chalet, most things provided. Very comfortable. Could have been a little cleaner but that is nit-picking.
- Nigel (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable and cosy, close to town but still secluded. Great that you can bring the dogs! Will visit again for sure.
- David (10/5): Dave was a great host and always made sure you were comfortable - Peace and quiet, so relaxing Nothing it was all good

- Kevin (10/5): Peaceful, tranquil, perfect for nature lovers, especially if you have a dog. - Secluded There was nothing to not like.
- Helen (8/5): It was one of our nicest shortstays. - It was picturesque with beautiful Australian bush and some wildflowers. The wrens bathed in the birdbath every morning.
We loved the quiet and the walks on the property.
Sorry to leave.
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Kaia (9/5): An amazing stay, really in touch with nature. Awesome place to bring your dog and let them roam around as you walk the a - The property was an awesome getaway from the city, this provided us with much time to reconnect and enjoy the natural scenery that the south has to provide. Great place to bring your pup also. The only fault I could describe was there not being any shampoo/ conditioner for us long-distance travellers.
- Christophe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (10/5): - Idyllic, quiet location amongst the trees and lovely chalet. The bed and lounge were comfy; great big shower head; large, thick towels; kitchen with everything you need to cook meals. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay
- Caitlin (10/5): Cosy cottage situated in bushland - Wonderful location, tucked away in the bush with walking trails all around the cottage. Cosy and comfortable cottage, very well stocked with everything you need. A real bonus we could also bring our dog. Thanks to David, a wonderful host. Nothing- it was perfect!
- Alison (9/5): Superb - The peaceful location and comfortable chalet that feels like a home away from home. Great long bush walks with the dogs and family through lovely land filled with Birdlife and animals. Nothing!

- Wayne (10/5): Fantastic location. Quiet but close to everything. Comfortable beds, great ammenities. - Great location. Close to everything I wanted to see and do. N/A
- Emma (9/5): Wonderful stay - Lovely, secluded location with beautiful bush views. Didn't hear another sound from other people. Very accommodating with our dog who loved the bush walk around the property. Really close to Augusta and Hamelin Bay. Could have done with a few more deep bowls and some salad bowls but not really a negative as we made do 😊
- David (10/5): Perfect, fantastic and a cosy atmosphere. tithe host Dave is so friendly and helpful in every way possible - secluded but central location to both Hamlin bay and Augusta, only a 15 minute drive to both locations
The chalet had absolutely everything in it, all we had to bring is our own food and drinks
very suitable for a large family with a king size bed and bunks in the main bedroom and a single bed and bunks in the 2nd bedroom nothing really to not like about this property
- Philip (8/5): Peace and quiet in the bush. - 2 Comfortable cottages set well apart amongst lovely bush. It’s a very quiet location where the only noises to disturb you at night are those of the odd kangaroo or possum. Nice and close to the attractions of the Southern Cape or Augusta. The cottages are clean and well equipped with all crockery, cutlery and kitchen needs. My bed was notably very comfortable. In summary a lovely quiet peaceful place for a weekend away.
- Abu (5/5): Passable - Chalet. Quiet jungle set-up. No Wi Fi. Didn't receive clean manner.
- Cathie (9/5): Superb - Owners very friendly and accommodating while respecting your privacy. Beautiful property well worth a walk around. Cabin has comfy bed and very well equipped including actually sharp knives in the kitchen!!! Not necessarily a criticism as it is advertised with WiFi in public areas however 4G/5G reception is limited. Great place for a technology detox.
- Titherington (10/5): Great place to stay , clean With everything you need to cook and enjoy your stay - very nice place to stay , had everything you needed. no milk supplied for my morning coffee . I should have packed my own .
- Antonio (8/5): Very good - Great location in bush and near lovely beach Lighting was not great. Too dark and at time didn't work
- Dieter (10/5): A comfy bush cottage for anyone who enjoys being surrounded by nature. - The very welcoming landholders have cared for this beautiful 100 acres of bush for 20 years. The very comfortable and well equipped cottages are totally private and surrounded by beautiful bush, and wildflowers. A great joy to watch the red-winged Fairy-wrens as I ate my breakfast on the verandah. Walk tracks through the property are great plus you can walk to the beach at Deepdene. Augusta is very close by with Leeuwin lighthouse, great cafes, hotel, shops, a good bakery, good fish and chips shop, local museum and the beautiful Blackwood River.
- Joy (8/5): Very rural and quiet. Great having wood burning stove for the chilly evening that suddenly appeared. - Not applicable N/A
- Razz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leon (8/5): Relaxing - Location was good Nothing
- Louis (10/5): Excellent location - Relaxing and peaceful.
- Bernie (10/5): - Fantastic location surrounded by beautiful bush. Chalet was well equipped and comfortable. The hosts Dave and Anita were very welcoming and obliging. We will definitely be back again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This is very comfy and homely accommodation .owners are very helpful .we hiked the Cape to Cape and David assisted with transport to and from the trail at very reasonable cost .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - David is a wonderful host. He helped us light the fireplace to keep us warm. The fire died off in the night as we didn’t know how to keep it going, and didn’t want to disturb David’s sleep. I would add one star if the cottage came with reverse air-conditioning. Otherwise the cottage is clean, functional and surrounded by nature! A good way to unwind.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Loved the little cabin in its natural bush setting, so peacefull! Inside nice & cosy with the fire. The only thing was the shower, couldn’t get the temperature right it kept running hot & cold. Also will bring a non stick frypan next time we come!😣.....but on the whole would recommend this lovely spot.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly hosts and a warm welcome. Nice walk to the beach.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property was nice and quiet and extremely private off the beaten track away from the crowds.
- Luke (10/5): - Heaps of pravicy between chalet, plenty of parking for cars and boat. Great friendly service, photos don't really do it justice.
- Lauzie (10/5): Cute cabin getaway - We loved our stay here. The cabin was new and had everything we needed. The skylight in the roof meant an early wake up and this was the only criticism. We would recommend this accommodation to all our family and friends
- Guy (10/5): Recommended place - Wrenwood Chalets is located in the forest. It is a magnificent location. We experienced a very nice hospitality by the owners, David and Anita, who live in the location.
- Michelle (10/5): - 住起來很舒服,但屋內無網路。
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful chalet in the nature - Wonderful apartment, beautifully decorated, clean. All you need is there. Great hosts. If in the area we will come back for sure.
- Rowena (10/5): Scenic Area and Great Place to Stay - Wrenwood Chalets were a really nice, quiet place to stay. The chalet itself was spacious and had everything we could possibly need while the staff were friendly and super helpful. We were a little late for check in but they were still more then happy to help us out. Located in a really nice, scenic area that was conveniently located near Hamelin Bay and Augusta. Would definitely go again.
- Jacqui (10/5): Lovely holiday home near Augusta - We stayed in a beautiful private unit; everything provided, including a gas BBQ and excellent kitchen facilities.
The unit included little extras such as a coffee plunger, salt, and foil and gladwrap.
Nice big bedrooms, very friendly staff
