Leenie (8/5): - The hotel was nicer and cleaner than we expected. It was a nice stay and we would stay again if in the area. The person who checked me in and out was super nice as well. We got in very late and he didn’t make it seem like it was an inconvenience.
Terry (6/5): - As the only hotel in Glenwood iowa, it is sufficient. Older carpet, very minimal continental breakfast but good coffee. The rooms have a recliner which is nice, and a refrigerator and microwave.

Michael (2/5): - Beds were hard and breakfast was terrible. Only had frozen waffles. Won’t stay again. This is a $40 a night hotel not $90. We come every year for the car meet and wanted somewhere closer than where we were staying but this is not the place.

No smoke alarms. But the most rude thing was that they must forgot it was daylight saving time and was yelling at us to get and I calmly ststed we had hour yet it was only 10 am. She kept yelling at me to "get out get out its 11. I looked at her again perplexed while she was ranting and raving that it was time to get out. Man with her was yelling same thing. All very rude! Maybe staff needs trained that we turn clocks back in the fall. LMAO.

NEVER have I seen one so small yet soooooo NICE. Easily a 4 star, and only reason not a 5 star is the TV is a royal pain to operate
Marsha (8/5): - Many relatives have stayed here before and recommended it. It was easy to get to from Omaha and not far from Malvern, IA where my grandmother lives. The hallways are dark but the rooms are nicer. AC worked well and was on when we arrived. Rooms include a hair dryer, samples of shampoo and conditioner, and a small wardrobe with hangers. Each morning they have coffee, cereal, milk, orange juice, waffles with syrup, bagels with cream cheese, and pre-packaged muffins or Danish pastries. After checking out, we headed to the airport and not long after, received a call that we had left a luggage key in our room. It was very kind that they went out of their way to contact me about it! I would stay here again. It's not 5 star, but very comfortable!

Richard (6/5): Ok for the price point. - This was a good/average hotel for the price point. The building is older and the water filter in the room sink was clogged. Once cleaned it worked fine. The shampoo packets were older and dry. However, the room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. This hotel is ok for someone just looking for a room for the night. It has very few amenities.
Verified traveler (6/5): Just a room. - All we needed was a room for one night. Pretty much all we got. Definitely a no frills hotel. Lobby has stuff laying around, “dining area” is the lobby. By 9:00 on a Sunday there was nothing left for breakfast. Pretty much a 2 star at the most. Room was just “meh”. No radio, clock. TV was decent and bed worked for 1 night. Wouldn’t recommend but it’s the only thing in town.

belindapQ8997ZR (2/5): BED BUGS! DO NOT STAY THERE - I checked in on June 24th 2024, for just one night. When I first got in the room it seemed clean and did not have a musty smell like some hotels. After getting into bed and reading for a bit I turned over to turn the light out and saw something out of the corner of my eye on the pillow that was moving. I jumped up only to find BED BUGS crawling all over the pillow. I quickly took a video, got dressed and took it to the front desk. I showed it to the guy that was on staff that night and his words to me were "Oh, that not good". He told me he could switch me to another room. I said "if there are BED BUGS in that room than they are in every room to which he replied " Oh not ever room has them"! I asked for a full refund and he gave it to me. I got out of there as fast as I could. So gross!

Actual hotel needs an update, carpets were dirty, towels were stained, threadbare and fraying. We found multiple dead woodlice in the room. Sheets on the bed and pillows were clean.

The bed was comfortable, but there were some hairs on the bedding/sheets (we were hoping it was just what happens while laundered like it does with my hair when I do laundry at home). There is a lot of parking and the hotel is right across the street from a Mexican restaurant and just down the road is a great coffee shop. The area is quiet as well. We enjoyed our stay.

Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - We stayed the night here for a vendor event the next day. It’s a nice hotel. Quick service and nice staff. We got a nice room but the beds were rock-hard. We didn’t sleep very good. But overall, it’s a nice hotel.
Joseph (8/5): - I enjoyed my 3 night stay and Hotel Arthur and would definitely stay again in spring! This was a convenient no frills place at a fair price. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were standard king and not micro sized. They promptly met any need we asked for. We had an excellent fridge and the Microwave worked. Bathroom was very clean. Coffee was available in the lobby from 6-9 am with a few items for morning snacking. Plan on eating out, bring AC items to charge your electronics, or your own travel alarm. My room had new carpet and fresh paint on the walls and ceiling. Better lighting would have been helpful. As I said, I will be back again.

The day I checked it was 101degrees and the room was not very cool so I was worried the air conditioner wasn't working well, but after turning it down and giving it some time the room did get cooler. The breakfast is not much, but OK. I was disappointed that the USB ports did not work so I couldn't charge my phone even though there were two lights by the bed but the ports didn't work. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very quiet and close to Casey's and some fast food places. Would stay there again.

Christopher (8/5): - The rate was reasonable. You could they recently remodeled the interior of the waiting area and hallways. The room was decent, with a mini fridge, chair, and even a small wardrobe closet for your convenience. However, there wasn't an outlet near the bed that was accessable to the occupant to charge devices, and there wasn't any overhead lighting for the main part of the room with the exception of a couple lamps and an LED strip about 3 ft long above a piece of art that was turned on with a switch in the power cord that was just above the bed, with no light switch for all of the outlets these lights were plugged into. That being said, this particular room looked like it had not been remodeled yet, at least not fully, so maybe some or all of these issues will be resolved. And these were minor inconveniences, certainly not a deal breaker for me staying here again in the future.
Verified traveler (6/5): Nothing special - This is a tired property which has been somewhat rehabbed. Our room had been recently renovated and was good for a 1 night stay. Probably paid $30 more for the room than it’s worth but it’s the only hotel in town. If I were heading north, I’d drive another half hour to Omaha/CB.
Michael (8/5): Good room, lousy breakfast. - Stayed just the one night for a nearby wedding. High price but that was due to demand as that was same weekend as college World Series in nearby Omaha where hotels were doubling and tripling prices. This hotel was fine, but not even a reasonable breakfast, luckily Casey’s was right next door for a decent coffee, pastries etc for the road home.

PAMELA (8/5): Would stay again. - One of the rooms had a washcloth and body wash left in the shower. The other room the TV wouldn't work which we finally figured out it was because the outlet didn't work. There weren't enough outlets for a family with Electronics. For the price it was good. I am concerned about the electrical issues. The management and employees were all very polite.

Darren (8/5): - Nothing special but a clean decent place to stay.
Mari Lyn (8/5): Decent motel closest to where we needed to be - Decent older motel. Staff could have been a little more friendly
Jennifer (6/5): - attendant was hard to understand and very rude, had no idea how to check us in had to call someone, hall carpets are stained and dirty, walls were filthy, outside back door is overflowing trash, box of trash, broken chair, cigarette buts everywhere, sheets were stained and filthy. Continental breakfast didn't exist and coffee was cold and gross, noone available to help with questions etc. . very disappointed
William (6/5): - Front desk staff did not know how to log into the computer to check us in. Paid through Orbitz and the desk person didn't understand that, kept asking if it was Expedia. Simple check in process took around 20 minutes while desk person made phone calls to figure out how to log into the computer. The beds were horribly uncomfortable. While walking in the hallway the cleaning lady had her two toddler children riding in the cleaning cart. She cursed and one of them while we were trying to get around the cleaning cart that was blocking the hallway. It was a super weird experience to say the least. As the only option in the town I supposed if I had to I'd stay again, but hopefully never do.
