Guest Reviews
- Calum (10/5): - The annexe was exeptional quality and the whole b and b was decorated tastefully.
Great access to public transport and the town. Nothing.
- Hilary (8/5): A perfect stay - Clean, private and convenient
- Brian (9/5): Very comfortable annex accommodation with good car parking provided. - Access and leaving arrangements great. Nothing to bc add.
- harries (8/5): We slept well. beds were comfy - We did not stay for breakfast. the notice board outside house was difficult to read. Gold writing on black background does not show up well.
black writing on cream or white back ground would be easier to read
- Geoffrey (10/5): Great place to stay - Excellent location, beautifully fitted out. Owners very friendly and helpful Nothing
- Ghulam (10/5): Excellent, family friendly and very hospitable owners. - Everything Nothing
- Diane (8/5): Lovely stay! - Room decoration was lovely
- Adrian (10/5): Splendid B&B with excellent comfortable rooms and great breakfast. Recommended. - Excellent B&B. Great comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast too and off road parking. We hope to stay again same time next year. Nothing. All good.
- Deb (10/5): Great stop over. Easy to find instructions to enter easy, parking , exceptionally clean good Brecke. - Exceptionally clean, easy access, friendly welcome great breakfast.

- Julie (10/5): Clean, quiet and peaceful. - Lovely stay in ‘The Annexe’. Clean, quiet and great location. I arrived by car but note this B&B is within a 5 mins walk of the train station. On day 2 all of the on-site parking was taken - I was able to park for free nearby (restricted hours of 6pm to 8am).
- DAVE (10/5): -
- Freddie (10/5): -
- Ronald (10/5): Comfortable, clean and well appointed accommodation, close to town centre and historic sites. - Very clean, well decorated, nicely furnished, lovely up to date bathroom, private entry that doesn’t necessitate going through main entrance to hotel. Very close to town centre. Walkable distance to restaurants, Burns’ houses, mausoleum etc Advertised as a hotel but more like a Bed & Breakfast. That didn’t detract from a very pleasant stay, though.
- Mike (10/5): -
- Linda (8/5): Lovely property and location, thank you - We didn't meet any of the staff or have breakfast. Our room was very comfortable and the location was great. N/A
- Christine (10/5): - Beautiful b&b excellent lovely helpful host very tast breakfast will stay here again. Nothing but wish we gad stayed longer.
- Jan (9/5): -
- Evonne (9/5): - Perfect location, really clean and comfortable
- Lin (10/5): - Very clean. Owners were friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast. One of the best showers I have come across. Useful location to walk into Dumfries. Nothing.
- Steven (10/5): -
- Lynsey (10/5): - Another lovely stay. Very easy to check in and rooms are immaculate. Nice touches in the room with homemade tablet etc. looking forward to my next stay.
- Catriona (10/5): Excellent - It was awesome in every way. Everything was excellent
- Geoffrey (10/5): Great place. - Located very close to the railway station and only a few minutes walk from the centre of town. Our room was exceptionally clean, spacious and comfortable. We had to leave too early for breakfast but will happily stay here again.
- Ted (10/5): Everything was excellent - Came up for a funeral so only stayed one night. Lovely hotel and excellent breakfast. It was a credit to Fiona the
owner. Would certainly stay there again if in the area. Nothing
- Graham (10/5): - Perfect for the station and very good
- Morven (10/5): Perfect , clean , quiet in a beautiful facility close to town - Exceptional quality room in a lovely Victorian building . Quiet , yet centrally located and super support from the host. Slight issues with self check in , immediately rectified by the host
- Jamie (10/5): Had a warm welcome from Frida. The property was beautifully decorated all over. Rooms were clean, warm, comfortable and - Very handy for the train station, and only ten minutes walk into town.

- Kaushik (9/5): Cozy comfortable and good people - Everything
- Barry (9/5): - Excellent value for money and the room was perfect. Located in a good location near to the railway station. Breakfast at the Huntingdon was also top quality. Nothing
- Diane (9/5): - The modern deluxe suite was a quiet separate annex to the hotel with king-size bed, private bathroom, tea, coffee, hairdryer and fridge. It had a small patio with table and chairs which would be nice to sit during afternoon/evening. The host changed the towels every day and made sure you had plenty of tea and coffee.
Hotel is close to the rail station and is only a short walk into the main town. Extractor fan in bathroom needs cleaning, dust on light shades in main room. Remove the coffee maker as the water tank had lime stains and mould (no pods for machine anyway).
- Karelyn (10/5): Excellent. Would recommend. - Clean and comfortable with good communication from the owners about check in. Great location for visiting Dalscone Farm just minutes away. Nothing to not like!
- Jess (10/5): - What a stunning building. The decor was gorgeous and as it has been refurbished everything is beautiful and new. The owner was the loveliest lady and we had a lovely chat at breakfast which again was lovely and well worth the money. The room in which we stayed in was the most calming room ive wver been in, tastefully decorated and had a super comfy bed. The price of £90 was alot less than i expected with the quality of the place.
We had a fabulous stay amd will be booking again for next year. Nothing at all.
- Ignas (9/5): -
- Tomas (9/5): - Owners helpful, hospitable and nice. Had a great stay. The walls are a bit thin. Could hear our family walking in a room next door.
- Ben (8/5): Fine - would stay again - Nice comfy room, quiet, good sleep No contact with staff, just message and door code. But worked ok.
- Russell (7/5): Great stay let down by mattress - Very well decorated and well presented The breakfast was abit underwhelming & the mattresses were excessively soft, and we sunk into them - suspect that they could do with replacing with something better / firmer
- Joyce (10/5): - Everything was lovely.
- Kay (10/5): Yet Another Excellent Stay At This Lovely B&B - Excellent accommodation, absolutely spotless, fab breakfast, very reasonable prices, rooms very well decorated, good choice in hospitality tray, Freda is a lovely, friendly host. Close to all amenities. There was absolutely nothing we didn't like.
- Kevin (10/5): Excellent as always .. we will be back - Stayed there several times over the last few years , always first class

- michela (10/5): Beautiful stay - We stayed in this beautiful house for 3 nights and missed it from the day we left. The family is so nice and welcoming and thanks to the lady owner we did our best hiking in the lowlands. Excellent beds, excellent cleaning, excellent position. We hope to be back some day

- Andrea (9/5): Lovely comfortable and peaceful stay - Great location - opposite the rail station.
Lovely room - nicely decorated and very comfortable.
Great breakfast.
Peaceful. I had some difficulty with the electronic locks but that was more due to my tiredness and the weather!
- Alan (10/5): Quick stopover. - Perfect for our stay. Really friendly. Great breakfast. Nothing at all.
- Diane (8/5): -
- LYNSEY (10/5): Fab stay in a modern b&b in a great location. - Stayed overnight with a friend. Email received with clear instructions on how to access property.
Room was so clean and modern decor which seemed more like a hotel vibe rather that b&b. Host was very friendly and chatty.
Breakfast order was very reasonable so opted for that upon arrival and it did not disappoint. Nice touch with homemade tablet upon arrival.
Would highly recommend and stay again if in the area. Mattress seemed a little soft /worn however this didn't affect the good sleep we had.
- Alistair (9/5): -
- philip (8/5): Very pleasent - Very nice room clean comfortable didnt have time for breakfast but it looked lovely
- Michele (10/5): -

- Gerrit (9/5): Perfecto - Keurige kamer prima locatie, 5 minuten lopen van het centrum, Eigenlijk was alles prins, men zat alleen in de knoop met de wifi verbinding, maar dat is nu al opgelost denk ik.
- Sean (10/5): Defo stay again - Great location, stunning decor we stayed 3 nights in the annexe room Clean modern great location parking easy to use
- Adam (10/5): -
- Thomas (9/5): -
- Cris (10/5): - Great Nothing, all good
- kerrie (9/5): - Very friendly hosts, and fabulous breakfast. The rooms were beautifully done up, quiet, and clean. We were able to park at the property no problems, and walk into the town center.
- Molly (10/5): Amazing! - Bed was very comfy, easiest check in ever!! Nothing!
- Marion (10/5): - The room was clean and stylish
- Bonnie (10/5): -
- Diane (10/5): -
- Andrew (8/5): Nothing seemed too much trouble. - The welcome. We were met with a smile and were allowed to store our golf gear in a locked utility room. The house is grand and elegant inside and a lot of effort has been made to restore properly, and make the most of its features. You could easily spend a few minutes gazing at the cornicing on the dining room ceiling. There weren't any dislikes.
- margaret (10/5): Enjoyed Dumfries,Rabbie Burns House is worth a visit, accommodation was excellent and good value. - Excellent,my husband is Gluten Intollerant and was well catered for in that respect nothing was too much trouble for the host (Freda) she was very hospitable. Nothing to complain about.!!
- Kenneth (9/5): Would be very happy to return for another stay - First class B.B run by the owner and family, decor to a very high standard very clean, breakfast excellent and very fair price Nothiny to dislike
- Cantwell (10/5): -
- DAVID (6/5): -
- lee (9/5): Cosy stay great breakfast - Fantastic, clean, comfortable house.
- Joseph (10/5): -
- Julie (8/5): Cosy, clean room and friendly, helpful staff. - Breakfast was tasty, and included GF bread. The room was warm and nicely furnished, and had double glazing. Parking was convenient, outside the premises. The bedroom space was just a little tight as the bed was large. Would have been better without a chair in it. But we were fine, given it was just for one night.
- Philip (10/5): -
- Zara (10/5): -
- Barbara (10/5): -
- Carole (10/5): -

An excellent time
- James (10/5): Excellent we will be back hidden gem - The place we have ever stayed stunning It was spotless and to the highest quality
- Pam (6/5): - Nice decor and handy location for the train. The little touches were missing. No tea or milk. No toiletries. Breakfast wasn't included in the price even though it's a b&b.
- James (10/5): - Lovely clean place to stay and breakfast was great, liked the idea of filling in what you actually wanted for breakfast the night before and freshly cooked for you in the morning.
- Cazcatkirk (10/5): - We have stayed here several times now, and each time is perfect. Without a doubt it's the best place to stay in Dumfries. Modern, comfy, clean and welcoming.
