Guest Reviews
- Zimin (10/5): - I have enjoyed the dinner and breakfast. The food and service is amazing.
- Erhan Kiyak (8/5): Fijn verblijf. - Vriendelijk personeel. Locatie. Duur.
- Phillip (6/5): - This place is crying out for The Hotel Inspector or Gordon Ramsay to storm in and shake the owners out of their stupor. There’s genuine potential here — the kind of charm and setting that could make it special — but it’s completely undermined by a burnt-out, disengaged owner whose negativity sets the tone the moment you walk in.
There were no menus, no prices on display, and ultimately no transparency — which meant the final bill arrived as a rather unpleasant surprise. Yes, I know I should’ve asked, but it was an early-days weekend date and interrogating the staff over costs would’ve killed the vibe.
The food? Serviceable, but that’s being generous. Two fried eggs (no choice offered), some overcooked bacon, a good spread, and a somewhat forced glass of champagne — €40 per person for that felt like a punchline without the joke.
The room was clean and spacious, which was a relief, but felt dated — a CD player and a TV awkwardly clinging to the wall didn’t exactly scream modern hospitality.
I came here off the back of glowing reviews and wasn’t expecting luxury, just a little warmth and value. Instead, I left wondering if we’d all stayed at the same place. A huge missed opportunity — the place is resting on fading charm and needs a serious wake-up
- Camiel (10/5): - Super mooi hotel, erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
- Chris (10/5): - An extraordinary hotel. Exceptional hospitality.
- Tiffany (10/5): - Beautiful old building with fantastic wine cellar. Friendly and attentive owner (and his family).
- ASHLEY (10/5): Unique Stay In A Historic City - Mind. Blown. Not a hotel … much, much more.
Friendly, casual welcome … from the chef. Extensive wine cellar, kind and attentive staff.
The room was beyond expectations, more a loft apartment in a New York style. The guest list is as impressive as it is unexpected. We will return.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Gem of Antwerp - The first time I slept like a baby in my European trip. I wish to stay longer but I’d make it as one of my stops when I’m in the country. Get the suite. It is the mist comfortable bed. Luxurious pillows and sheets. All you need for a much needed rest while on a holiday.
- RON (10/5): - Owners are fantastic and room is amazing. Highly recommend this lovely place. Does not get better than this.
- Tatiana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Schmidt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rose (9/5): Great family stay in central Antwerp - Well equipped, spacious apartment in an unbeatable location. Everything you would need or want on a trip with children. The breakfast was incredible. The staff went out of their way to be kind and helpful. Nothing, it was all great. Will definitely book again.
- Bart (10/5): Old school hospitality! Fantastic ! - Best hospitality I have experienced for a long time. Personal and authentic. Amazing dinner and breakfast.
- Vadim (10/5): Нормально - Парковка повеселила !)
- Willemien (10/5): - Het is een hele mooie plek met ontzettende gastvrije mensen en heerlijk eten
- David (10/5): Great Stay Downtown! - Great stay in this small boutique hotel. The owner is the chef who also owns the restaurant downstairs. He was very very caring and overall an excellent stay. It is also a HUGE room!
- JohnC (10/5): - The property felt like an original Belgian home. The room was like a
small house. Very European in taste. A lot of exquisite details added
to the room. The hospitality of the owner/chef was overboard. It was
an experience for our family. The wine cellar, the dining room and our room was so unique. The food was excellent and if you are a wine lover this place will blow your mind. This was the highlight of our Belgian visit. Will do it again. Again thank you for having us there!
- Cara (10/5): Superb, charming, unique stay in heart of Antwerp - I can't rave enough about how amazing this place is! Utterly charming and unique, and the staff was top-notch all around. The proprietor (Patrick) is the chef of the accompanying restaurant (also amazing), and added the hotel recently as a complement to the restaurant. The rooms are exceptionally spacious and comfortable, and the location can't be beat. The wine cellar is a must, as is the dining experience. Don't stay anywhere else -- this is tops.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastic accommodations!! We loved everything about this place including the incredible restaurant!!
- Diane (10/5): Great stay! - Our stay was wonderful. Patrick and Marta were excellent hosts, dinner was fantastic and the wine cellar had an exceptional list. Large apartment accommodated my husband, myself and adult daughter very well. Large space and well equipped.
- Stephen (10/5): Outstanding! - This turned out to be probably the best hotel we'd stayed in. It's fairly small, consisting of only four suites, but each of those is effectively a mini-apartment - a large living room, bedroom, bathroom, and shower room. There is even a full kitchen, if you're so inclined.
We didn't have a great deal of interaction with the owners, but every time we did it was a positive experience, beginning with them making sure to come to meet us personally at check-in, to making sure we had everything we needed.
I can't really recommend this hotel enough.
- roger (10/5): Very nice centrally located boutique hotel - I originally planned on staying at the Hilton, but they were full. It was a good thing they were as I very much enjoyed the personal local service of this place.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by the owner, also the chef of the restaurant. He showed me my room and encouraged me to call him on his cell if had any questions while in town or if he could be of assistance with local recommendations.
The rooms are large suites with beautiful custom furniture, full kitchens with nice touches—fully stocked nesspresso capuchino machines along with an assortment chocolates. There were also some nice books on the area and a washing machine. The entire place was recently completely renovated.
Don’t miss the restaurant —the food is excellent. I ate seasonal white asparagus with salmon for an appetizer and Sole fish for the main course with home made ice cream with local berries for desert. I was told it is one of the best restaurants in town and was not disappointed. The food was fresh, perfectly seasoned and well prepared.
The hotel is centrally located and an easy short walk to anywhere in town.
I recommend staying here over the large chain hotels.
- JAG (10/5): Nice Hotel - Very nice hotel. Hotel stay was more like a small single bedroom apartment. Everything was new. Even has a washer/dryer combo which was very helpful. We walked everywhere - shopping, restaurants and attractions.
- Donna (10/5): Close to everything - Food, wine, and staff were amazing. When we come back this is our new home away from home. The room was a touch cold, but they tried to rectify it as soon as we told them.
