- Kristy (6/5): - Location was perfect. Room was clean Burn hole in the comforter. Toilet handle was loose. Not enough towels.
- JOSE ALOISE (9/5): -
- Marilyn (4/5): - Bed was comfortable Everything about the property needs some TLC. Cash flow a problem ? Try a can of paint mommy pppp
- Hazelwood (5/5): -
- Castillo (7/5): -
- Paula (5/5): You pay for what you get for last minute - I like the location. I like the price. The rooms were dirty. The sheets and some towels were stained. Overall, just kind of look dirty. But made it work.
- Castillo (10/5): -
- Charity (4/5): I needed a place to sleep and it served the purpose but will look for other accommodations next time - Check in staff was wonderful and friendly. The location was easy to find and parking was abundant. The bed linens were stained/dirty, the tub was damaged and patched (felt like you were going to fall through), the room wasn't as clean as it could have been and the cleaning person came an hour early and let themselves in the room with their own key card. (I was still in bed) :(
- Steeno (8/5): -
- Windy (4/5): - Room look like amateur remodel the rooms. It was not complete done. Smell.
- John (4/5): -
- Jack (8/5): -
- Betty (9/5): -
- Jeremy (4/5): - The bed was rock hard. There was paint peeling from the sink and bathtub. The door to the bathroom was messed up and you had to slam it hard to close it.
- Thomas (5/5): This was a no frills stay. - The motel could be seen from the highway and had easy access from the off ramp. Plenty of food choices close by and lots of places to shop if you forget anything. For a one night stay, it was adequate. If you are planning multiple nights in the area or will be spending a lot of time in the room, I would suggest a different location. Desk chair was broken. I sat in it and it leaned from side to side, not at all stable. The other chair in the room was vinyl and hard as wood. Cushions did not compress when I sat in it. The breakfast pastries were definitely Little Debbies. The waffle iron worked well and the coffee is not freshly brewed but made from a Nescafe instant machine. The room had over 100 channels on the television and no guide on how to use the television or what networks were available. I had to call the front office to get a channel listing. I also ate breakfast and returned to my room only to discover they key no longer worked. According to the front office, since I was checking out, the key stopped working. Checkout was at 11 AM and the key stopped working at 8 AM. Did not make any sense to me.
- Jeremy (1/5): Unfortunately if we go to this area to visit family, this is the closest hotel to their home. Might just pick a better h - Nothing really. It was a place to sleep and we were limited on hotels in the area. Room was in disrepair. Ceiling had patch work done to it and was painted 3 different shades of white. Pillows and blankets had stains on them. Floor was gouged in several places. Bathroom floor was gross. Everything was cheaply painted over, even the shower tub! And the paint was pealing all throughout. Ceiling in bathroom was cracked and beginning to fall in. Bathtub faucet and shower head were would come out of the wall if you adjusted them.
- Debbie Branson (7/5): -
- Abdul Azim (5/5): - Breakfast was very basic. Hardly can even call it breakfast.
- Cross (4/5): Bare bones, clean but not comfortable. - The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Everything was bare minimum. Shampoo in a paper pouch, minimal towels, no local channels on tv, only 2g internet that did not work well during busy times. Breakfast was minimal and the cold drink machine was not working. only waffles for warm food and bread/cereal that looked quite old. We ate out. Likely because our room had several holes in the base boards, we had a mouse in our room and had to make a midnight change.
- Daniel (10/5): -
- Destinee (10/5): - Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a perfect place to rest my head easy on a busy weekend
- Fine (8/5): -
- sonia (8/5): - Friendly staff, plenty of parking, room was clean and comfortable bed. Many dining options nearby. Close to highway for easy travel. Plenty of space to walk service dog but would be handy to have a trash dispenser to deposit pet waste as this facility is pet friendly .
- Kathy (6/5): - Staff friendly. Older and needs updating and especially repainting. Seems to be a safe area, with police presence in the parking lot. Was quiet and we didn’t get woken up the one night we stayed. Outside room access and no elevator so it was difficult for my husband getting to the room.
- Pennie (8/5): - Rooms are day we dated. The. Fiberglass tub was flimsy. Needs a paint job.
- Richie (10/5): - Perfect room for a one night stay. Nothing fancy, but did the trick
- Chris (2/5): - They told me my room was ready i checked in the ceiling was fractured paint chips hanging down in multiple places shower curtain rod was torn off wall barely hanging on by 1 screw the bed cover was covered in brown and yellow stains i mentioned this to the guy behind the desk they moved me my wife and son to another room this room had the same ceilingnissues and the fridge was a solid block of ice it wouldn't shut all the way or open all the way i mentioned this to the guy behind the desk they never removed the broken fridge or offered to switch we get up in the morning their "continental breakfast they offer was only stale bread nothing else it was a disgusting terrible experience will never go back again
- Randy (10/5): - Very nice people
- Millard (4/5): - Dirty bathtub. Dead bugs on bathroom floor. Towel rod kept falling down, hair dryer did not work. Place reminded me of a Hotel 6.
- Chamille (5/5): I wish it were cleaner. - The staff is very nice.
The location is OK, there are several options of restaurants nearby.
The hotel is pet friendly. Some parts of the walls were covered in mold.
There was the sound of people talking in the next room that I could hear.
The room had doors that led to other rooms, they were locked from the inside, but I felt unsafe.
Breakfast is very simple, just waffles, muffins, apple juice, coffee and bread.
- lisa (6/5): Worked ok for a couple of nights but I couldn’t imaging staying any longer. - The price was reasonable for what you got. Easy access from the highway. The lady at check in was so nice. Close to fast food restaurant and grocery stores. It’s was somewhat rundown. Our floor looked like it hadn’t been swept. There was some dead bugs by the wall and around the chair. The chair was badly stained and dirty. Our shower curtain rod was broken and that made it difficult to keep the curtain in place. Furniture needed a dusting and our TV remote would only change channels one way. The up button and the volume didn’t work. Breakfast was sad. No hot foods or proteins and not much to pick from so we did not eat there.
- Corfee (5/5): - Close to highway and also shops and food. Cost was amazing and the rooms were clean. It was quiet and nice. They didn't update their website that their pool was closed. It was the 2nd reason we choose them, with the first being the cost. They told us the health department shut the pool down which was even more concerning.
The "breakfast" was a joke, waffles was it. They had cereal and a honey bun. No fruit, on meat. They also had no juice besides apple juice. Not really a "breakfast".
- Zakaria (9/5): -
- Mary (2/5): - Bathroom in poor condition. In our room. Bathtub shower combination needs replacement. Bathroom floor filthy. Bath towels were thin and flimsy. Furniture outdated. Would not eat there.
- Matthew (10/5): Very friendly helpful staff. - Everything Nothing
- Tom (6/5): - What is a no smoking room, but room had odor.
As clean as it could be under the circumstances. Breakfast area was clean. Pool was closed said due to the season! Well, it’s July! I basically did it for convenience. Not too many good hotels in the area.
- Rhonda (8/5): Would stay here again. - Convenient to my family Many workers stay there during the week and drink in parking lot from 5pm-???
- Nancy (4/5): got what you paid for - Not able to check in early. had to go somewhere for 1 hour.
- Justin (2/5): Horrible management - The management was horrible and harassed us over my 1 year old child the pool was full of dirt and bees. The way they talk to there customers is not acceptable!!
- Natasha (7/5): Good -
- van (2/5): Horror motel - The property is terrible. We had three of us and they only offered 2 small thin towels. When I went for more I was asked why I needed them. In a huff, he gave me two more with one so ripped up that it was not usable. The shampoo is a little packet, thus the cheapest That is the philosophy I see everywhere here. Shame on Wyndhum for allowing them to use their name.
They claim the pool is closed for the winter season but it was 90 dgrees in late June. I assume they just don't want the expense of maintaining a pool. Do not stay here, They are rude, cheap and a run-down dump. It was verry difficult to understand their accent while trying to get some answers.
- Derrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- King (7/5): Reservation through Booking wasn’t available to hotel staff upon arrival and confirmation number was not available to st -
- Greiner (5/5): Front desk was pleasant, helpful; stay was okay. - Easy access. Room was clean. Breakfast was terrible. One lamp in room had not outlet to which it could connect.
- jon (8/5): - Good over all property good place to sleep then enjoy the day many places close by. Check out the local coffee shop wisteria up the street great coffee
- Randall (8/5): - Didnt get to spend much time in the room, but was clean and bed was comfortable. Was put in a accessible room for some reason. Over all, short of the lacknof a table due to accessible room, and the leaning shower curtain that didnt stay completely closed, a good room.
- Chris (7/5): Good -
- Amy (9/5): Comfortable and easy to find - The room was clean and comfortable. The shower and tub were good sized and easy to get in and out of safely
- kenneth (2/5): - Rooms and property are in horrid condition. Spider webs all over the room. Bathtub was gross and stained. Paint was in horrible condition. Toilets caulking was cracked and breaking. Toilet leaked. HVAC unit was disgusting… Nothing nice about this hotel. Staff at front desk was nice.
- Lee (8/5): Very good -
- Roxanne (10/5): - Great value for price. Pools and hot tub were clean and correct temperatures. They are renovating the hotel. Our room was great but furniture was very, very outdated. Bed was clean and comfortable.
- Robert (7/5): Picked for location - For the price it was a reasonable night's stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The rooms were good. Owners seem to be making updates and improvements. Breakfast was acceptable but not much of a variety. Toast, muffins, honey buns, one adult cereal and one child cereal, 2% milk, apple juice, watery OJ, coffee with creamers, Waffles with butter and syrup. No low-fat or sugar-free items available.
- Carrie (10/5): Couldn't have asked for a better experience! - The staff was very accomodating and friendly. The only reason we didn't eat breakfast was because we slept in (the bed was roomy and comfortable!) We can't say enough nice things about this hotel. We plan to return! Nothing. They were great!
- John (7/5): Good - Breakfast was adequate Couldn’t turn off air.
- Angela (5/5): Passable -
- Jerry (5/5): Passable -
- Darlene (6/5): - The bed was very comfortable. My biggest complaint was that the room didn't have any tissue in the room.
- Nathalie (3/5): Poor - The property needs to be refreshed. It looks very old. The bedrooms look very old…
- Friedman (3/5): not recommended but - the bed was soft frig has no real freezer, not enuf towels, need Lg bath towels, dirt in corners, very very small bathroom, felt like place was falling apart
- Bennett (7/5): Good - Showed lots of wear in the room and bathroom, no lids for the coffee cups at breakfast, towels were very worn.
- Albert (5/5): Passable - Musty smell in room.
- Bennett (7/5): A basic hotel for a good price. - Location worked for what I needed. Front desk staff were very nice. I stayed twice in the same week on non consecutive days. The first room had a lot of wear on it, eventhough it was clean. The second room, being on the second floor, was in better shape. The towels were thread bare in both rooms. Breakfast was basic, but they didn't offer lids for the coffee cups so I left the coffee there.
- James (6/5): - Convenient but should have paid a little more for a higher quality place
- Kayla (4/5): - Breakfast and the staff were great. The room was gross, dirty floor, sheets stained, furniture stained and damaged, the fixtures in the room and bathroom were holding on by threads. For the price I expected a little better honestly. It should’ve been way cheaper for what it was.
- Nayankumar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roger (8/5): - I enjoyed the proprty. It is older, but is maintained and clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The front desk staff was nice and the room was clean and comfortable. Good value.
- Muriel E (10/5): - Property may be dated but room clean and smells great. For the price the amenities are great. Love the fact the floors are not carpeted and very clean. Siskel and Ebert 2 thumbs up 👍👍
- Bryan (6/5): Affordable but wouldn’t stay again. - Location is amazing!! Right next to everything you could need. Walmart grocery store fast food and sit down restaurants within walking distance. Very convenient. Bathroom is small. Tubs are deep but very very slippery. Was like showering on a sheet of ice. The breakfast was a joke. No fruit just breads fruit loops or Raisin Bran and a waffle maker. Juice is watered down like you would for a toddler. Coffee isn’t coffee it’s just dark water in my opinion. Beds were not comfortable at all to any of us.
- Steve (6/5): Staff was friendly. Room could use some TLC - Breakfast was minimal Bed spread had stains on it
Bath tub is badly scarred
Door frames need paint
TV guide (sheet of paper) doesn’t match the channels on the TV. This would seem like an easy thing to fix
- Shuman (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean rooms comfortable bed and staff was amazing.
- Bradley (8/5): Very good -
- Judith (6/5): - No non-slip surface in tub or handrails to help get out, loose toilet seat, stained towels. Room itself ok but could’ve used Kleenex, more shampoo, conditioner and lotion.
- John (8/5): - Very friendly staff. I like the convenients to the state parks.
We felt safe and was not disturbed.
When we go back to the parks we will most likely stay there.
- David (8/5): Very good - I've stayed here twice each time I've had to check in early and very accommadating and friendly. Na
- Terrence (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (5/5): Passable - Room, sheets dirty. Needs updating
- Randy (6/5): Pleasant -
- christian (10/5): - It was a nice and quiet place
- cynthia (2/5): - Our room was dirty. The tv did not work. 2 towels for 3 people. couldnt get the shower on said just pull the knob really hard so 2 out of the 3 of use couldnt turn it on. The room was very dirty.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Needs a remodel - When I got in the room it was freezing. I turned the heat on high. It took several hours for it to warm up at all. The fridge didn’t work. The tv didn’t work. The sheets had stains on them. The chair was so stained I wouldn’t sit on it. I would have left if there was another motel available. The good news is, staff was friendly and no bed bugs. My biggest complaint was lack of heat.
- Ashley (10/5): - Everyone is really nice!
- Nancy (8/5): Nice room, friendly staff and perfect location. - Breakfast was nice. Location was great. Staff very helpful. Can't think of anything.
- Jeanilyn (2/5): Stay away from this place - Room is very old, dirty and everything in it are falling apart . Sheets and pillows have stains on them. Just nasty. Please do not believe the good reviews like we did. Very dishonest and decieving.
- Mom (4/5): - I got there at 9:00pm and it was snowing. He had me wait outside and the check in was through a window. I asked if I could stand in the lobby as I had my bag etc and he said no. I waited outside freezing for 10 minutes for him to register me and take my card etc. I should have been able to stand in the lobby. But I guess it’s so unsafe there they don’t let anyone in the lobby!!!! It was sketchy and not a great feeling to park there. I really wasn’t sure if my car was going to be safe or broken into there overnight. Would not stay again.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- ERNESTO (10/5): - Good location, nice and clean, warm room, breakfast was ok
- Vincent (6/5): - The rooms are old school brick skid row apartments converted to a cheap motel. Interior doors between rooms have the handles busted off. The walls are paper thin. My next door neighbor's conversations were crystal clear with the TV on. TV also sucked, no guide button, just a basic remote. You could only scroll through the channels. Huge armoire dresser thing with built in TV stand and refrigerator took up half of the room. Staff were mildly annoyed at best. They questioned my service animal and tried to charge a $20 fee on top of that. I'd skip this place, it's no value at $96 with tax. I should have stayed in Winston Salem.
- Kathleen (2/5): Very poor - Really nice bed…friendly staff…I like parking outside of the door Tv remote didn’t work, even after changing the batteries….overpriced for accommodations….leaking faucet…rundown hotel…faucet ran all night
- Dina (10/5): Clean and Comfy - The bed in the king size room was super comfy! The room was super clean, as was the bathroom. The front desk staff was so helpful and kind. We really enjoyed our stay. The free breakfast is pretty generic, but thwy did jave waffles which was nice! Would definitely stay again.
- Cheryl (8/5): - Hotel and rooms were clean and the price was good. Bed was comfortable. Worked for us on our travels. Breakfast was alittle scant.
- Michael (8/5): - Hot coffee and hot water for shower.
- Catherine (6/5): - Chose this motel because it was close to the highway! It was a typical Days Inn…we waited for a clerk to checkin and never saw anyone again. The breakfast was less than a continental although there was a waffle maker, but no bagels or cream cheese or yogurt or choice of jam for a toast. It was just not a place I’d choose again!
- Kristyle (8/5): Very good - Everyone was very friendly and helpful Could have been a little cleaner
- Lorie (2/5): - Property itself is older and in disrepair. Too
many issues to mention but a few are the floor in bathroom in my room was apparently bad and the shower feels and sounds like you might end up in the room below you, toilet is bolted to wall and floor because of this I guess but off of its seal, cigarettes burns in tub and bed, carved names on nightstand, dirty soap dish on counter, stained towels, etc. Front desk staff was pleasant enough.
- Johanna (4/5): - The check in at midnight through the window was unexpected and took awhile in the cold. You get what you pay for here.
- Kendra (8/5): OK - From Ohio going to Mrtle Beach - couldn't find anything reasonable & available in Winston-Salem area so came on down to King. Motel is ok (for one night). Bed reasonably comfortable. Side chair uncomfortable, worn & a little dirty looking. Had 1 bug crawl across top of furniture. Haven't tried breakfast yet so can't comment.
