Guest Reviews
- Javiez (10/5): - Nice quiet place
- Tracy (6/5): - Stayed here for its approximaty to the airport. Its about 8-10 mins from the airport. Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable.
- Chris (8/5): - Very clean a quiet, friendly staff
- Mytoshini (8/5): - Ok
- cynthia (2/5): - Room had a broken lock, beds were uncomfortable, area felt unsafe. Would not reccomend.
- Robert (8/5): Simple, no frills that’s close to LBB - Good for the price. Old-school place, 90s furniture/decor, but nice mgmt
- Verified traveler (4/5): Cheap Motel - Cheap, dingy hotel. Room was hot when we entered, because the AC was off. Took 2 hours to cool down. Friend did not sleep well.
- Jennifer (8/5): Nice Room - The room was nicer than i expected and the bed was comfortable.
- Rusty (8/5): - Throwback motel, older motel but super clean. Industrial neighborhood but safe. Everything worked as it should and the price was good.
- Lori (10/5): - We chose to stay at the Scottish Inn because I waited too long to book anywhere to stay for my daughter’s graduation. The reviews all said that it was clean so I took a chance. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was much closer to campus and my daughter’s house in Tech Terrace than I thought it would be. For the price, I thought it was a great value and I would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you!
- MUHENG (6/5): - Everything else was fine but they seriously need to clean their carpets. Also saw cockroach in the room
- Robert (10/5): - Very nice place for my over night stay. On a busy road, but very quiet and comfortable.
- Ron (8/5): Stay - All was good & I will stay again.
- Eric (4/5): - While the manager was nice, the room did not seem all that clean although the sheets and surfaces, other than the carpet, seemed to be fairly clean. The carpet, sheets, bedspread, and lighting needed to be replaced eons ago. The water was warm but not hot. Seemed to be a sketchy area, was loud at night with motorcycles and drunks, and multiple police cars had detained someone right next to the hotel as I left for the airport at 5am. I won’t be staying again, but if you had nowhere else to stay or couldn’t afford more, I would do.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - You get what you pay for. Fri night and last minute room. Most in town rooms shot up to 200 for night. Went cheap and of course got cheap. Had cpl other places were 45/50$. This one was 85$, sorry but not worth 85$. If i had known quality of this place i would've chosen 45$ because thats about what i got staying here. I won't go into details. You go cheap you get cheap, cant expect royalty.
- Teyler A (10/5): - Nice and just what I needed
- Jeff (10/5): Nothing to complain about! - This motel was a lot nicer than the price reflects. Very clean, no bad smells or anything else usually associated with lower priced hotels. Stay here if you’re on a budget.
- Sondra (10/5): BEST HIDDEN GEM 💎 - BEST, CLEAN HIDDEN GEM 💯
Room was CLEAN.
Front desk staff was So Very Nice ❤️
I will stay again
- Scott (8/5): - I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed my stay at an affordable rate over a football weekend. The area around the hotel is very empty, and I felt safe here.
- Michalean (6/5): - Older fixing up clean close to food
- Michael (4/5): - This is a very, very old property in a desolate industrial area. There is nothing nearby except what must be, I'm assuming, a fertilizer factory because there is a constant smell of manure outside the property. Fortunately, the odor does not penetrate the room. The cleaning crew does a good job and the linens are decent quality. The bed was comfortable with the mattress wrapped in plastic, which was comforting honestly. I am a single middle aged man and so felt relatively secure, but I would not have brought my partner or children to this location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great room for a college game group! - The check in employee was nice, but not too friendly. The check-in office was unattractive. The parking lot needs to be improved. The rooms were clean, spacious and towels/sheets were in good shape.
- David L (4/5): - asfadsfasf
- Chukwunyere (8/5): - It was good.
- Spring (8/5): - It’s a little gem tucked away! I recommend to friends that need a safe, clean, and cost efficient place to stay.
- Jarred (2/5): - Checked in early also paid the fee but didn't enjoy the room or location and i didn't even get my $90 refunded
- Andrew (10/5): Gem of a motel - If I'm beong honest the exterior made me nervous when i pulled in, but the people were very nice and accomodating and the room was clean and comfortable. Inwould definitely stay there again.
- John (6/5): - I'm pretty sure an in room coffee maker was advertised but not present. Ice machine not working. But clean room overall and quick repair of door lock was appreciated.
- Jim (10/5): - An ice machine would have been nice.
- julio (10/5): - Good service
- Adela (8/5): - I’m single woman with a bad back. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I woke up not hurting. The room was clean. The property owner was very nice and helpful. It felt quiet and safe there. It is close to Texas tech, when I visited my son. For the price, it was bare bones and great. I don’t like carpeting in hotels, but I saw no sign of bugs.
I would stay here again.
- Jesmine (10/5): - The staff is very friendly and the hotel room is neat and comfortable to stay in.
- Diana (2/5): - We did not stay at the hotel as it was not well maintained and the property kept all air conditioning units off with all the windows open in the 100 degree heat we checked in at 4 (temp in room 96) & turned the air on and left when we returned at 630 it was 84 we gave it til 700 still 84 degrees I then went to the front desk they were many patrons in there cars and I stopped and asked one of the patrons if his air was working in his room he said “no that he was waiting it out in his car” at the front desk they offered another room which we gave an hour to get cool at this point I wasn’t going to make myself and my 3 children and sicker from the heat and we left.
- Mysteek (6/5): Not the worse experience but wasn’t great - Dead moths in bed under covers. Owners speak in other language to eachother when you ask them questions. They couldn’t find my reservation for 20 mins .
- Stefphanie (10/5): - The room was super clean (no bed bugs!) and the staff was very friendly. It was easy to park and we enjoyed our stay!
- Daniel (10/5): - Overall okay just had a couple of stray dogs that would bark by my room window, but other than that great spot.
- E. Andres (10/5): - - Good value for money
- Convenient to major interstates
- Gas stations nearby
- Friendly fellow who runs the place
- Clean room and linens
- Comfortable bed
- AC/heating unit worked fine
- Putri (8/5): - There was a dog that nonstop barking but that's about it
- Daniel (10/5): - Awesome
- Mouni (10/5): - Descent Hotel, clean floor, easy parking
- Damien (2/5): - Tried contacting the property through Expedia to say our flight had been canceled. No reply nothing
- Palmira (4/5): - The motel is clean. Very bare bones. No coffee in the rooms and not even in the office the following morning!!!
- Edward (8/5): - This motel was VERY CLEAN! Staff was great, the area was quiet and on the outskirts of town, away from all the commerce, which makes it quiet, but a little inconvenient if you want to go out for a midnight snack. I felt very safe there; no riff-raff. My only complaints: the bed was lumpy and too firm for me, no hair dryer, no conditioner.
- James (10/5): - The motel is located near several 4 lane highways allows easy access... I stayed there on Friday night but traffic in the area was light and it was very quiet.. It is an older property and if you are looking for amenities beyond a clean room, go somewhere else. But if you want a good price and very friendly hosts, this is your place. The owner was very helpful in directing me to places I was going... I will stay there anytime I'm in Lubbock....
- Christopher (6/5): - The room was clean, the bed and pillows were ok...just a little lumpy....the shower was very good..the TV was a bit small, but had adequate sound...the a/c & heating was very good!.... location was far away,...overall it was a pretty good stay...none of the other guests were noisy or bothersome too...
- Amie (10/5): - It was clean and convenient. Suited our needs and the owner was very helpful and nice. Great little stay for an overnight trip.
- rick (8/5): - Satisfactory!!
- jeffrey (10/5): - Very clean rooms and friendly staff
- robert (8/5): - Basic Inn with well lit parking. No pool. Clean room with comfortable king size bed. For the area it was a good price.
- Mechele (8/5): Clean and Friendly - The floor tile was beautiful. The room was clean. Would have liked at least a small coffee pot in the room as there is no breakfast offered and nothing around to grab a quick one but there is a fridge and microwave. Overall a good room.
- JeanPaul (4/5): - This property is a dumpster! Do not stay here if you can help it!
- Kaitlyn (4/5): - The check in area was swarmed with flies when we checked in. When we got to our room, it had so many flies in the room, we went to Dollar General to get fly tape and fly swatters. It felt so unclean that we also got Clorox wipes to wipe the main areas off. The bottom of the door was broken, so if we had gotten much more rain tonight, water would've started coming in. I wouldn't dare dream of bathing here. The only upside to this place was I didn't see any roaches or bedbugs. I don't know how this place has a 7/10 rating. DO NOT RECOMMEND
- juan (2/5): - Made reservations, when checking in charged wrong amount, when comfronted refund could not be made. Told the i was not willing to stay there anymore was told nothing else could be done sorry. So for no services rendered i paid 75$. And i booked another hotel for the night Days inn @ medical center. Sadly cant post pictures to prove a point. To the extreme that review got rejected by merchant on expedia.
- EDDIE (4/5): - None of the flat surfaces had been dusted. Asked for another room which resulted in the same problem with that room. Guess what, I know you will not do a thing about it either.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Will stay again - Basic quiet confi sleep, v good bargain; BE AWARE, NO GUEST COFFEE available on site
- Robert (4/5): - The pace was clean, but cold. Time floors made it colder. The bed was tolerable, but the pillows had zero substance. The parking lot was very difficult to access when hauling a short trailer. The location was a bit seamy. Employees were difficult to understand.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good Stay for the Price - Although my expectation was not high, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, adequately stocked and everything worked. Good water pressure, and the heater rocked! (It was VERY cold!) Nothing fancy but more than adequate. Only downside is it's a little isolated.
- Lauren (10/5): - Nothing more than exactly what you need.
- joe (2/5): - Be careful with the bed bugs all over the bed and covers
- Steven (4/5): - Straight-back chairs, nothing comfortable but the bed.
Single light in middle of ceiling, no bedside tables, no lamps. WIFI was terrible! On one minute, off five, on two minutes, off three, etc., etc. No relaxing after a busy day! Cannot recommend, even for the price!
- Ralph (8/5): - The staff answered the phone and gave good directions to the site. Changed room promptly when smoke alarm malfunctioned. Was courteous and kind. Room was clean and comfortable.
- Beverly (2/5): - I arrived and went into my room, immediately hear the people next door having sex. My room was gross, like the kind of gross things get after years and years of not being properly cleaned. Seal around the tiles and bath tub, etc are all brown but clearly they were once white. The chair had gross stains on it. The sheets looked as though they haven’t been washed, very wrinkly and didn’t smell clean. The top dead bolt didn’t work. This hotel has about 30 or so rooms, I was one of maybe 5 customers and when I asked for a late checkout they said no. As if they were busy or something, clearly they were not. My advise, may an extra 25-30 bucks and stay somewhere else. Unless of course you only need a room for a few hours ;)
- Joe (2/5): Not here - Did not feel safe or comfortable in the location, therefore I did not even check in, ended up going back home instead. A six-hour drive, money, gas, and time wasted.
- William (8/5): - Convenient location. Decent Price. Clean. Service people nice. No coffee. no TVguide.
- George (4/5): - Older (1950s(?)) motel in the industrial section of north Lubbock. Room was clean, well it, but that's all - oddly bare (lacking reading lamps, clock-radio, other now basic amenities), and a long way from cinemas and restaurants. I booked on a weekend coinciding with a Texas Tech home game, so you'd expect a full house. Far from it.
Do yourselves a favor - look further south. For $80 / night ($70 taxes), it's a last resort option.
- Douglas (8/5): - Industrial area, if not for being a weekend, the stay may have been a little noisy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice place, but austeer. Folks that run it arevery nice.
- James (10/5): - Broked ice machine!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Reasonable rates & staff cares about their visitors.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We were never given the WiFi password and could not reach the front desk on the phone. Deadbolt in the room did not work. Booked it because reviews were good but not a place you can stay alone.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Roomy but bathroom was like a public restroom.
Gave my 18-yr old daughter flack upon check-in even though she was traveling with another adult that was 23 years old.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Found bed bugs and roaches.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The bed was comfortable
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room size and staff attitude were good.
No ice available; ice machine wasn't working.
- Estella (8/5): Surprised but Relieved - We had never stayed here before so when we drove up I was not sure we’d made a good decision. The staff was pretty accommodating. Once inside we were pleased to see how clean everything was. The AC worked well & the pressure of the shower head was great. Our stay was completely safe & noise level was extremely low.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Appeared they were remodeling, chair in room not very good shape. Parking lot scattered trash. Ice machine didn't work. Lobby was locked, door not in very good shape. Made you think it was in a high crime area. Hopefully will improve with remodeling efforts.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Sweetie and I checked in for a 2 night stay while our house was being worked on. The room was clean and the floor spotless. At night, the parking lot was brightly lit while good blackout curtains kept the room nice and dark. All in all, a good stay.
- RB (6/5): - Pro: cheap price.
Cons: dirty bathroom, unpainted sheetrock repairs in walls, naked light-bulbs instead of light fixtures, no lamp, and no clock.
- Julie (8/5): ood, clean, and quiet. - Nice, clean and simple. Pillows could use improvement, very thin and flat; otherwise good place to stay for a nights sleep.
- Margaret (8/5): - I only needed a 1 night stay in Lubbock at a decent rate and this place met my needs. The room was small but the bed was so comfortable. Slept like a baby. Veey quiet with pleasing and clean grounds. Very small tv but wasn't there for in room entertainment. Easy to find and easy access to where i needed to go. I would stay again.
- C.Rodriguez (8/5): - Our usual place to stay in Lubbock when visiting our college daughter.
Covid 19 evidently has caused business to slow. It appeared our specific room had been neglected in the housekeeping department.
Dust and dirt accumulate when left vacant.
I had to wipe off dirty window sills and remove food crumbs from inside the sofa bed.
Management should be sure staff cleans rooms thoroughly and daily whether they’re booked or not. And especially disinfect them for guests during a pandemic.
- Carlos (8/5): - Easy access clean and quiet. Check in was very fast and easy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - They have taken an older property and redone the inside to make the rooms look new. Don’t let the outside appearance fool you, the rooms are clean, have a minifridge and a microwave. For the price, can’t be beat.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - No complaints to add had a good time easy check in and check out
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good stop - Overall hotel appearance was fine. No crazy bells and whistles, but definitely has what you need to get a good nights rest. The service was excellent during check-in and was not too loud as it didn’t seem to have a lot of vehicles passing by.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Check inn was great great folks quiet clean an affordable
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place to stay for a quick trip. The room was clean and nice, but not huge. There was no coffee maker, but it was pretty easy to find the hotel and get where we needed
