Guest Reviews
- Elizabeth (9/5): - La Maison du Paradis was a wonderful place to stay for our 7 nights. The location was excellent, and the accommodation was very comfortable, welcoming, and spotlessly clean throughout our stay.
We especially appreciated the extensive breakfast supplies provided — such a thoughtful touch. The fresh oranges, plenty of cold water, and even fresh milk made such a difference and were very much appreciated.
Pasquale was an exceptional host and could not have been more helpful. Together with his wife Guisy, although we did not have the chance to meet her, they truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and stress-free.
We highly recommend La Maison du Paradis and would happily stay there again.
- Mihaela (10/5): Beautiful apartment in Salerno - The apartment was very nice and clean . The owner was very polite and friendly. We had very good communication with him. He left couple wrapped little cakes and cookies for us for breakfast, some water , milk and yogurt in the fridge and also some oranges to make some orange juice. That was very nice of him. The apartment is right in the center close to the marina. We really had a great time The shower was a little bit small
- nicola (10/5): Casa pulita e centralissima - Pulitissima e centrale come posizione,
I proprietari sono gentilissimi
Ci hanno indicato posti da visitare veramente belli
- Rebecca (10/5): Definitely recommend! Perfect location with kind hosts! - Giusy and Pasquale were the kindest hosts and really made the stay memorable! They communicated with us prior to our stay and Pasquale greeted us upon arrival. He showed us everything we needed to know about the apartment and gave us recommendations for things to do and restaurants to try. We found our favorite restaurant in the city because of his recommendation and because he personally knew the owner. They messaged us throughout our stay to make sure everything was going well and booked us a taxi to our train.
He provided snacks, water, and even oranges from his garden that we used to make fresh juice. The apartment itself is in the perfect location so it was easy for us to walk around. The balcony view of the city was lovely. When we reminisce about our honeymoon stay in Salerno, we will always think about the kindness of Giusy and Pasquale. We highly recommend staying here!
- Mira (10/5): Perfect place to stay to visit Salerno/the Amalfi Coast - Perfect stay for our 3-day trip to Amalfi coast during our honeymoon! Pasquale was the best host - gave us a tour of the apartment, info on the ferries/buses, and good restaurant recommendations. The apartment itself was wonderful and comfortable the entire stay, especially with fresh oranges from Pasquale’s garden! It’s also close to many restaurants, the ports going to Capri/Positano/Amalfi, and the boardwalk where you can catch sunrise views! Definitely recommend and would stay here again :)
- FELICIA (10/5): LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!! - Location, location, location!
My daughter and I enjoyed a perfect stay at La Maison du Paradis.
The 3rd floor apartment (accessible with elevator) is spotless and offers three juliet balconies with incredible views. It is located on a vibrant street next to restaurants, a park, and a friendly gelato parlor. The Lungamare promenade is a short direct six minute walk (ten if American😉).
From the building's back door, you will discover a myriad of small cobbled streets, local bakeries, flower shops, green grocers, etc. An ornate cathedral with a bell tower is a few steps away.
However, if you read the other reviews, there is one thing in common- Pasquale.
Yes, Pasquale and Guisy go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable.
Pasquale is very knowledgeable of the best restaurants, ferries, neighboring cities, transportation, history, etc.
We were warmly greeted outside La Maison du Paradis where Pasquale helped us with our large luggage. We were welcomed with the best fresh oranges, an easy electric juicer, a large fridge, a great coffee maker, yogurt, milk, pastries, bottled water, and more.
Because this was our 1st visit to Salerno, we felt very welcomed.
We had a comfortable bed, extra pillows, towels, and a sparkling apartment cleaned and replenished.
Lastly, I lost my phone and Pasquale was able to communicate with the person who found it and retrieved it for me.
Pasquale would give you the sky if it was his to give! This is Dolce Vita!
We definitely recommend!!! 5 stars! Nothing!
- Vesa (10/5): - Excellent communication via WhatsApp immediately after booking and throughout our stay — our messages were answered very quickly. Upon arrival, Pasquale was waiting for us at the front door and gave us a very warm welcome. He introduced us to the surroundings, explained the history of the building, and went through all the apartment’s features in detail.
The location is excellent, and the apartment offers spacious views. It has three small balconies, and during winter you can also see the sea (in summer the trees may block the sea view). Although there is a Red Cross ambulance station in front of the building, the apartment was still very quiet and there was no disturbance from traffic or emergency vehicles (even during the New Year celebrations!).
Breakfast was good and varied, with a highlight being a large bowl of fresh oranges that you could squeeze yourself for juice. Overall, this accommodation was a wonderful experience that we can warmly recommend.
Thank you, Giusy and Pasquale! Only the toilet flush was a bit weak but it wasn't a big problem.
- Rodney (10/5): The owners of this property have covered every detail to make for an enjoyable stay in Salerno - Excellent location between the port and the city with excellent proximity to a small park. A very walkable community. The elevator to the unit is an additional feature that makes for assistance to the third floor. The view to the street is very nice in each of the rooms.
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Large apartment. Very helpful host. Great history associated with the room A bit noisy from traffic. A longish walk to Amalfi coast ferries.
- Matthew (10/5): Fantastic location & beautiful property. - Location, host was excellent and very informative.
- Maryna (10/5): - Неймовірний вид та зручне розташування. Привітний і уважний господар. Дуже душевне місце. -
- Brenda (10/5): Excellent stay in Salerno with a wonderful host - Everything about the apartment was perfect. Really clean. Comfortable bed, lovely breakfast especially the freshly squeezed orange juice. Perfect location to explore Salerno and the Amalfi coast. Pasquale was a perfect host. Told us lots of historical facts about Salerno. Recommended lots of great restaurants. He also recommended our trip to Ravello which was beautiful. He was in touch every day to check everything was ok. Best place to stay in Salerno, we will be back. That we only stayed 3 nights!
- james (10/5): A lovely, historic apartment in the perfect location to walk to the marina or historic center. - Our host met us at the door and escorted us to the apartment. He explained everything in the rooms and the neighborhood, even going as far as recommending a restaurant, calling to make sure we had a table and walking us there through the neighborhood. That evening we requested a fan for the bedroom and he brought it over right away. You could not ask for a more friendly or helpful host! The air conditioning took some time to reach the bedroom but the host brought over a fan and that helped.
- ian (9/5): -
- Jennifer (9/5): Excellent short stay location in Salerno - Excellent location in lovely Salerno. Pasquale could not have been more helpful. Meeting us a short notice at the apartment. Showing us where to park, excellent restaurant suggestions and ideas for our stay. We took up several of his ideas and they were all very good. Nothing
- Noel (10/5): A fabulous place to stay - Very clean and comfortable and a very central location, host was extremely helpful with booking taxis and the restaurant recommendations were on point. Breakfast was fine with the highlight being delicious oranges to squeeze fresh every morning Nothing
- Anastasia (9/5): Nice host, very warm welcome! -
- Andrew (10/5): Perfect, loads of thought and attention.. - Just returned from four nights at Maison du Paradis. it was absolutely fabulous. It had everything you need and more. Excellent location, close to the beach and seafront. Very good air conditioning and kitchen facilities are wonderful. The complimentary fresh orange juicer was novel and brilliant. Pascal was the perfect host and explained all the interesting parts around the area and everything we needed to know to make our stay perfect. Nothing..although it's location is a distance from the rail and bus station.
- Josef (10/5): - Lokalita byla úžasná, v centru města, blízko pláže a parkování. Ubytování krásné, slunné, prostorné, čisté s dostatečným vybavením a krásným výhled z balkonu. V okolí mnoho kaváren a restaurací. Hostitel Pasquale se o nás velice dobře staral, byl ochotný, vstřícný a se vším nám pomohl. Děkujeme a rádi se vrátíme.
- Lourdes (10/5): Pasquale is very nice. He welcome us with open arms. - It’s close to everything. The port, restaurants, beach and museums Nothing
- Riikka (10/5): Great appartment with excellent location, marvellous host! - The appartment was really spacious, cosy, stylish and clean. The house was an old palace, very beautiful. The location on the side of Salerno old town was perfect as well. We had a nice view from the french balcony. Our host Pasquale was really caring, helpful and friendly. He gave us good tips on what to see and do. We had a big bowl of fresh oranges in the kitchen to make squezed orange juice and a good espresso machine. The Wi-Fi and air conditioning worked perfectly. Thank you so much for making our stay so nice Pasquale!
- Ann (9/5): Great stay and we would book this apartment again - Large, airy and spotlessly clean. The location was superb. The hosts were the best. Friendly and helpful. Everything was fine. A suggestion would be to take earplugs as on occasion the road noise could be an issue. Toiletries were the basics so shampoo and conditioner is required if you prefer these to be separate to the shower gel. A toaster would be a great addition to the kitchen.
- Judith (10/5): Perfect. - Everything! La Maison du Paradis was exceptional. The hosts, Giusy and Pasquale have created a beautiful and comfortable place, with great amenities. The supplied breakfast options hit the mark, and the fresh orange juice was amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer.
- Cindy (10/5): What a beautiful apartment and extremely kind host - Our experience with Pasquale and his beautiful apartment was exceptional. It was in a beautiful building in a perfect location very safe and clean. The apartment was very spacious and Pasquale left us a beautiful full breakfast for the morning. We will definitely be coming back.
- Bev (10/5): It was a wonderful experience for us and we hope to return there again soon!! - We loved the location being close to many great restaurants, the port and the beach. We were able to reach other destinations easily such as Amalfi, Positano and Capri. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. It was impeccably clean with a comfortable bed, bathroom and kitchen which was well stocked. Pasquale suggested we go to Ravello and we are very happy we did! It was stunning! We went by the local bus which was an experience in itself! Gutsy and Pasquale could not have done more for us. They were wonderful. Nil
- kevin (10/5): - Let me start by saying how hospitable, knowledgeable and kind Pasquale is. He greeted us out in front of our B & B and spent quality time showing us our room and t alked about the surrounding area. Salerno is the perfect place to stay and visit all the hot spots (Amalfi, Positano and Capri are just a gorgeous ferry ride away from the port of Salerno. Stay at the B&B Masion du Paradis and you wont be disappointed. Thank you Pasquale for your kindness..until next time. Ciao!!
- Eve (10/5): Wonderful place, perfect location and great host! - WOW! We had an incredible experience at La Maison du Paradis. The views are fabulous and the space is perfect and spotlessly clean. We loved the breakfast bits and the fresh local oranges which we squeezed for juice in the morning. Pasquale was exceptionally helpful, he met us outside the property quite late in the evening and was supportive and friendly throughout - a really lovely guy and very knowledgable of the area. We loved the old town which is through the back door of the property and the promenade was opposite, a really great location. Nothing.
- Sally (10/5): We would highly recommend La Maison du Paradis and Salerno. - The host, Pasquale, was exceedingly helpful. He met us at the apartment, explained everything thoroughly, and offered many recommendations. The apartment was delightfully comfortable. It has large windows with window balcony that open fully and even have screens. They have installed good windows that offer soundproofing for the busy street in front. The location was excellent for both the Lungomare and the old town. And, leaving a big pile of fresh oranges and a juicer was a real treat. We also enjoyed Salerno tremendously - more than we expected. There was no closet or hangers and that would have been useful. The breakfast is packaged and basic - we bought additional breakfast supplies, but the orange juice was delicious.
- Jeffrey (10/5): The best part of the trip so far, and I think it will be the best when it’s all in the history books in 10 days. - Easy walk from Salerno train station (you can walk the waterfront promenade to within a block of the apartment). Pasquale was extremely helpful from ordering us a taxi to recommending only the best restaurants. A true host! N/A
Everything was perfect!
- Doug (10/5): - This property and area are excellent. Great base to explore Amalfi Coast and beyond.
The host, Pasquale, was a pleasure to interact with. Very helpful with all aspects of our time here. Well done Pasquale!!!
- Thomas (10/5): Paradise in Salerno - Super nice and comfy apartment in the heart of Salerno, close to the beach and the vibrant old city. Our host Pasquale was incredible with his knowledge about the history of the apartment and immediate surroundings. His valuable tips on where to eat and what to in Salerno and the region were very welcome. The apartment as such is very stylish, clean and comfortable. There are fresh oranges, water, milk and sweet bakery products. Most notably was Pasquale's response time (on average within a minute!!) to any questions via whatsapp, thereby constantly checking if everything was ok! He also arranged our taxi to the railway station. We therefore can recommend the apartment to anyone planning for a stay in Salerno!!
- Penny (10/5): - Only stayed for 2 days but wanted to experience an apartment style stay in Salerno. The owner was beyond helpful and a pleasure. The property was immaculate. Easy and walkable. Beautiful
- Linda (10/5): I love the place, I recommend it!🤗❤️🇮🇹 - Excellent location right in front of lungomare! Near the train station. In it
There are many restaurants and bars where you can enjoy delicious typical Italian food! I loved the place!
- stuart (8/5): - The owner went of their way to help. The fridge was stacked with great breakfast food. The apartment had plenty of room. The only downside was the street noise which was very loud.
- Tingting (10/5): Perfect - This apartment is in a great location. It takes about six minutes to walk to the dock. It takes more than twenty minutes to walk to the train station. The apartment is clean and warm. Moreover, the living room and rooms are facing the scenery directly. The sunlight is very good. It's very happy! The owner also received us very warmly. Thank you very much. Next time we come to Salerno, we will still choose to stay here! Nope
- Sharon (10/5): - What an excellent choice La Maison du Paradis proved to be during my first trip to Italy this September. I was greeted by the lovely Pasquale my host, who was already waiting for me on my arrival. Very reassuring. A little history made a nice introduction. The apartment is set in a delightful building with its own story. Accessed by lift is very helpful. Nicely decorated and considerately furnished with the traveller in mind. The fridge is generously stocked with supplies for breakfast and hydration. Pasquale & Giusy provide excellent hospitality front of house and behind the scenes and non-intrusive communication to ensure everything runs very smoothly. I felt very priveleged to have stayed here and it will be my first choice when I return to this area on a future ocassion. Grateful thanks. Sharon
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional - Our accommodation exceeded our expectations. Pasquale and Giusy were welcoming and gave us a lot of helpful information about places to visit in the area along with ferry and bus timetables and maps. They also organized a taxi pick up to take us to the train station. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and located within walking distance to restaurants, shops, transport and places of interest such as the duomo. It was only a 3 minute walk to the beach and promenade. We had a wonderful stay in Salerno and we would highly recommend this apartment to others visiting the area.
- Robyn (10/5): Happy, vibrant, homely stay in central Salerno - We loved staying at La Maison Paradise. The location is perfect, walking distance to the port, cafes, restaurants and train station. The hostess are the best giving us a fantastic welcome and presenting the apartment so warmly. Nothing
- Vrinda (10/5): Excellent stay in a beautiful apartment - Beautiful apartment in a great part of town, close to the major attractions, the beach and the best restaurants. The host was very kind and provided us several great items for breakfast too. We had a wonderful stay.
- Michelle (10/5): - The owner of this property was very helpful and communicated with me before my arrival, during and after to be sure we made it to our next destination. The photo on the site is the view from the B&B window. Steps from the beach. Steps from the port. Steps from city center and steps from excellent restaurants. 10/10 would stay there again.
- Monique (10/5): Unforgettable 10/10 - The property was in the heart of Salerno. A very charming, clean, comfortable, convenient apartment and came with a nice variety of breakfast items including beautiful fresh fruit, yoghurts and coffee machine/ pods of course.
Bed was very comfy and there was plenty of linen/ towels.
Air conditioning worked great and the apartment is very quiet and peaceful once you close up the glass doors.
You feel very safe in this apartment block.
The little balconies were so cute and gave you a magnificent view of the restaurant strip/shops and park on the opposite side of the road.
Everything was within walking distance and the atmosphere at night was absolutely amazing !!
Let’s talk about the Hosts for a minute…
From the moment we booked this gorgeous apartment, we received nothing but first class service.
Pasquale and wife Giusy were very friendly, accomodating and hospitable towards us and all of our needs.
They were there for us whenever we needed them, every minute of every day answering questions and fulfilling all of our requests.
I cannot fault this whole experience.
We will return ☺️ Didn’t want to Leave !!
- Lorraine (10/5): The stay was made more enjoyable due to the hosts going the extra mile. - The apartment was super clean!
Pasquale ( the host) was so helpful and knowledgeable…in a friendly way. He gave us lots of tips and information which made our stay very special. Nothing!
- Vincent (10/5): - Pasquale was extremely welcoming and helpful upon our arrival. The apartment was very nice and close to everything. We really enjoyed our stay.
- Elisabed (10/5): A little piece of paradise! - First and foremost I would like to thank our host, Pasquale, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and at home. The apartment is very charming, I fell in love with the amazing views it offers and it’s rich history. I loved that the property was conveniently located near the beach and restaurants. Thank you once again Pasquale for all your help! Nothing negative to say.
- Yiran (10/5): Feel like at home, really like this apartment and salerno. - Giusy and Pasquale are sooo nice, they will help you book the taxi, tell you how to go to Capri, and recommend the local restaurant. The apartment is cozy and tidy, very convenient to go to the port. Btw especially like the fresh squeezed orange juice. no
- Barbara (10/5): Would I come back and stay at Rate La Maison du Paradis most definitely , - The breakfast that was left for my wife and I was wonderful especially the beautiful fresh Sicilian oranges when squeezed were amazing . Adequate cereal , yoghurt and milk .
As far as the location goes 10mins walk to the train station , 15-20 to the ferry terminal which takes you onto the Amalfi coast and a local bus stop outside your front door as well . Plenty of back allies to explore , eateries and some good shopping to be done . A local laundry was approximately 10 mins away and for 8 euro a large bag of dirty clothing was . washed, dryed and folded . One of the best locations we have stayed at . What we really enjoyed was the extra space that this unit has , after travelling for 3 weeks and being in smaller accommodation, this was pure luxury . Pasquale our host was so amazing, very passionate about Salerno its surroundings, history, buildings and restaurants. When he met us with the keys, a first, he spent 40 minutes explaining the highlights and must do in Salerno . The crypt below the Cathedral was mind blowing . He recommended 3 restaurants we tried 2 and they were exceptional . Pasquale also recommended a walk on the Amalfi coast called The walk of the Gods . Unfortunately the weather closed in and we were not able to do this walk .
To date this has been a high light of our travels and we would definitely come back to Salerno and definitely stay at this apartment . Wonderful host ,great location, spacious, and good value There are always small things that hosts can do to improve their properties , but I feel in this case they are not worth mentioning . They had no effect on our stay or enjoyment . Unfortunately some reviewers look for faults and not the overwhelming positives .
- Yasmeen (9/5): Superb - The property is located wonderfully (with easy access to many of the local sites and restaurants as well as the harbour if you want to travel along the Amalfi coast by sea) and is housed in an impressive building. The property is well maintained by Pascal and his wife Giusy, with the amenities perfectly in place. Apart from all these features, Pascal is one of the nicest people we have come across - if you ask, he quietly helps you with whatever you need, whether it is advice about local travel or the best places to get the wine and foods of the region. (Among other things he helped retrieve a bag left behind carelessly by my husband in a taxi). We were lucky to find this place and had the most perfect time.
- Brent (10/5): A wonderful apartment, centrally located, with amazing landlords - Yes, this apartment is a gem, but what sets it apart from anyplace we've ever stayed is the above and beyond service our landlords, Pasquale and Giusy provided. Pasquale met us at the convenient parking garage and walked us to the apartment, pointing out important locations along the way. From the front door a number of eateries are within a few steps, a short walk to the ATM. The ferry and train station are about a 1k walk. Bus stops are convenient too. Exiting from the back door, take the opportunity to explore the alleyways of the old town. Pasquale showed us the apartment and suggested restaurants and answered our questions regarding the bus as we had some trouble deciphering the bus schedule.
There are 3 huge floor to ceiling sets of windows which let in plenty of light with shutters for the evening. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed having a small couch and a table with chairs which gave us a place to relax and enjoy our morning breakfast. Giusy, thoughtfully left us fresh oranges from her uncle's trees, plenty of bottled water, yogurt, and a variety of pastries, and coffee. The fresh orange juice each morning was a real treat!
All these things are wonderful, but here is where we count Pasquale and Giusy as blessings. I got sick. We texted Pasquale to tell us the best way to find a clinic. He didn't just give us an answer, he picked us up in his car at 7:45 PM and drove us to a clinic, helped to translate with the medical personnel and then drove us to an all night pharmacy. Two days later, he provided a link with directions to the hospital ER where we spent the next 5 hours. Pasquale texted frequently, following our progress and sending thoughts and prayers from Giusy.
What more could we possible say? We would highly recommend this delightful apartment and can't say enough good things about Pasquale and Giusy We loved this apartment and can think of nothing we would change,
- Jacqueline (9/5): A hotel concierge experience with Pasquale. - A very comfortable apartment in a great location near the promenade, the old city, the ferry service, and many restaurants. Pasquale was always available via WhatsApp and acted as our own personal concierge calling cabs, checking whether the ferry was operational, recommending things to do. A continental breakfast was available and replenished when necessary.
- Wayne (10/5): A great stay in Salerno - Location
Location is everything. This spot was central to all. Train station, fashion district, resturant row, a promenade, marina and somewhere there was a beach ....
Full one bedroom apartment w/ 1 1/2 bathrooms - sound proof windows queen size bed. lovely kitchen with everything you need including a juicer. Came stocked with fresh oranges, water, milk and pastries. Walk out balconies at every window.
Train Station 20 minute walk from the station
Pasquale the owner & host could not have been more helpful and accommodating. -He greeted us on arrival show us to the room and detailed Salernos many attractions.
Would stay again. Recommend 10/10
- Renee (10/5): A perfect stay and so very convenient. Pasquale was very helpful explaining everything and also very responsuve to any - This was a great location on the edge of the old city. A view of the ocean is between the buildings facing the step out balconies just one street away from the sea & lots of natural light. Very walkable to everything also to bus, ferries and trains.
The apt was sparkling clean. Bathroom very nice and great shower. There were oranges for juicing, Nespresso coffee machine and pastries the breakfast. So nice to not have to go out for morning coffee.
Very nicely decorated with lots of space.
Attentional to detail was perfect.
I loved going out the back door & stepping right into the old city. Everything was perfect!
- Eli (10/5): Pasquale was extremely hospitable, meeting us upon arrival. He provided us with history of the area and the building and - Amazing hospitality and the apartment was in a fantastic location
- MAGED (10/5): - We were thrilled by the great hospitality and super care given by Pasquale owner of the property as we found him waiting for us upon arrival in front of the building. The apartment and the location is extra ordinary.few minutes to the beach and very central. The apartment has a view of the sea and the historic building has 2 doors the back door opens to the old historic city.
Pasquale made everything in his capacity to make us happy offering fresh orange juice water yogurt cookies and even booking a taxi for us. Never stayed in such a beautiful and neat apartment like this before. We will definitely go again and make it a hub to visit all Amalfi attractions. Thank you Pasquale for all what you did to us.
- Barbara (10/5): Great location in a non touristy city - The property was in an historical ”palace” which was very cool. There were restaurants all around us. The apartment was so clean and we even had breakfast every day and fresh squeezed orange
juice! Pasquale was very attentive and checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. He even arranged a 5:30 am taxi pick up for us and stayed awake to make sure the taxi arrived. The Manfredi ferry port was an easy 6 minute was from the apartment and the Concordia port was 20 minutes walk. Both so convenient to travel around the Amalfi cost . Thank you to Pasquale and Guisy for your hospitality!
- Landon (10/5): - The host was very genuine, accommodating, and attentive. He gave us great recommendations to do around the area. The place was very clean and felt like home! We we’re very grateful for our time there.
- Adriana (9/5): The property manger was lovely and would stay there again - The view was amazing good position
- Olena (10/5): Impeccably - The apartment is located in a well-kept old house, it is bright and incredibly beautiful. You will need literally a couple of minutes to walk to Santa Teresa beach and the green park (they could be seen from our windows). The host Pasquale was very attentive to us, met us at the entrance of the house, showed the apartment and gave the Salerno map and the ferry timetable. You feel not just a tourist, but a dear guest!
- Vivian (9/5): Our stay was just amazing , if I was ever to stay in Salerno again I would return to this property and would recommend t - Amazing location , close to restaurants and also close to ports to catch ferries to the other towns on the Amalfi . The property manager was so so helpful from the beginning to the end of our four day stay, helping us with everything from parking our rental car to travel and restaurant tips The only thing I would fault is that there was no washing machine
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - A wonderful place to stay, Pasquale was so kind and attentive and made amazing food recommendations (I have never eaten better in Italy than at Vasilico!). Comfortable bed, great position, historical building and well-preserved apartment.
- Patrycja (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts made us feel taken care of at all times. Incredibly nice, communicative and helpful. The apartment has a real homely feel to it - it's clean but feels lived in, which makes for a super cozy stay. The historically significant building it's located in is positioned perfectly. The beach right next to it looks better in real life than online. While it can be a bit dirty, it's perfectly serviceable and a viable alternative to a place at a private beach. Overall, I strongly recommend staying in Salerno when visiting the Amalfi coast, as it wasn't overcrowded even in July and La Maison du Paradis is a truly fantastic spot to stay at.
- Kris (10/5): Great Place to Stay - My husband and I stayed at La Maison du Paradis during our visit to Salerno and it was wonderful. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. The location of this B and B was perfect. It was central and it was an easy walk to the the ferry terminals for the Amalfi coast. The B and B was perfect for us. It offered a great kitchen, separate bedroom, luggage room, among other conveniences. We would give La Maison du Paradis an 11/10, and would absolutely stay there again.
- Ida (8/5): Very good - Very nice and helpful staff! Super welcoming and always available. The beat were the location of the place. Loved Salerno! Lacked a lot of equipment to make food in the kitchen.
- Phillip (9/5): Would gladly stay again if we find ourselves back in Salerno. - Good location for exploring the city. Walked to most places. Great restaurants nearby including a newly minted Michelin starred restaurant. Unfortunately we ran out of time. Enjoyed Volte a two minute walk and Vacilico who is a friend of the owner. She is a great chef and treated us like royalty. Doors a little getting used to the locks. But very secure. After second day it was fine.
- Loredana (10/5): Bellissimo! - The apartment is situated in a historic building in the most beautiful part of Salerno. It is beautifully appointed and extremely clean. Pasquale was very eager to assist with our enquiries and needs. It is up there with one of the best bnb's we have stayed in.
Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Nil
- Irene (10/5): excellent apartment for a couple - location, cleanliness, great facilities. n/a
- Ciaran (10/5): Warmest welcome in beautiful apartment - This apartment is beautifully set in the building that housed the Prime Minister in 1943 when Salerno housed seat of government. It has a back door “secret” entrance to the Old Town and a 2-minute walk from the promenade.
It is immaculately kept with everything you need for a perfect base in the Amalfi Coast. Spotlessly clean with elegant design. The apartment comes stocked with excellent coffee, fresh orange maker and oranges and a selection of pastries and yoghurt.
All of these things said.. the best part is Pasquale! From the moment we booked, he was in communication and greeted us at the property with the warmest of welcomes. He gave us excellent tips for dining and visits.
Thanks Giusi and Pasquale for hosting us in your beautiful apartment.
- Jeffrey (10/5): This is among the best apartment rental experiences I’ve ever had, every detail perfect. - The host met us outside the building and escorted us to the local parking, then walked with us back to the apartment. He offered to help with our bags. Nothing at all. Everything was great.
- Gregory (10/5): we loved everything about our stay at La Maison De Paradis! - the property was immaculate. nothing lacking and lots of extras. Pasquale was a gem, even booked a lovely restaurant for us. Giusy went to great lengths to provide an immaculate environment there was nothing we disliked about the property
- Jackie (10/5): - Pasquale and Guisy provide a comfortable, well furnished apartment. The kitchen was well stocked for our arrival. The bed was comfortable. The apartment is well located 20 minutes from both the train station and ferry port. Pasquale and Guisy are so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Information on the area including restaurants, ferry schedules and sites to see are ready and waiting for you. This is a beautiful place to base for the Amalfi Coast, Paestum, and Pompeii. Highly recommend. We cant wait to return!
- Dan (10/5): I would highly recommend Salerno and this beautiful apartment for your next vacation! - Our hosts we amazing. They went above and beyond with everything from restaurant recommendations and attractions in and around the area. The apartment has everything needed for a one night or an extended stay. We fell in love with Salerno. N/a
- James (10/5): - Pasquale and Giusy were the ideal hosts as the service they provided was far beyond our expectations. The property was in an ideal location, the rooms were clean, and the amenities just what were needed. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Salerno, be sure to check out this wonderful B&B.
- Deepak (10/5): The Best of Salerno - Out of all our 15 days in Italy, our stay in Salerno was outstanding, largely due to Pasquale and Giusy's hospitality. The rooms were spotless, AC cold, oranges fresh, and the location was unparalleled. Everything is within a 5 minute walk. There's no other place we will stay in Salerno!
- Samantha (10/5): Great apartment in a perfect location - Perfectly located in the old town and a minute’s walk from the seafront and bars, restaurants etc. wonderful, helpful hosts and good self service breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice, The apartment is part of a beautiful old building with thick walls and high windows; it has air con and a well appointed kitchen and lovely bathroom.
- Thiviya (10/5): Exceptional - Central location, clean and spacious, kind and very helpful hosts. Would stay again!
- Bob (10/5): - I stayed at the B&B La Maison du Paradis for a total of 5 nights over the span of 2 weeks. Pascalie, the owner, is amazing. He provides any and all information you might need and is always available if needed. The apartment is located in a historic building in the old part of Salerno. Unlike many B&Bs in the area, there is easy car access so you don't have to drag your luggage for blocks. Also, the location for visiting the Old Town is excellent. 5 minute walk to the heart. The main pedestrianized street is a block away. The waterfront promenade is 3 blocks. The building is quiet and the window shutters are great to block out the street lights during the night. Breakfast is offered but it limited to some yogurt, packaged breads and cereal. A large market is 10 minutes away. This is definitely a place I will stay at during my next visit to Salerno.
- David (10/5): An absolute MUST STAY !!! - A truly amazing place. The greeting and hospitality was excellent during our stay. Home grown oranges for orange juice in the morning, homemade apricot tart for breakfast and a stocked fridge. Pasquale, the host was beyond helpful with advice on local places to visit, eat and enjoy. Take his advise on restaurants ! you wont regret it ! He really is one of the best people on the planet !
Apartment is safe, comfortable and offers all you need.
The location is perfect, close to everything in Salerno and easily accessible to do day trips.
Really cant speak highly enough about our stay here.
- Frances (10/5): - What an incredible host Paaquale and Guisy are!!! I give 10 out of 5. Yes more!
We were met at the train so we could hand luggage over and head straight to ferry to enjoy a day in Positano.
When we got to the apartment there was an awesome fruit pie, water, coffee, milk, fruits and pastries. We had absolutely everything to make our stay more than comfortable. Beautiful apartment with excellent location - ferries, restaurants, busses, train all within walking distance. Highly recommend you book
- Richard (10/5): - Excellent accommodation and perfect location to all sites in Salerno and easy access to Amalfi Coast by ferry. Proprietor went above and beyond to keep in touch with us prior to reservation and met us at apartment when we arrived. Spent the time to make sure we were all set and had no question on apt. Gave outstanding recommendation on sites to visit and restuarants to eat at. Would highly recommend listing and wouldn't you hesitate to book again when we return.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - My review is simple rent this B&B/apartment!
The apartment is spotless, the location is perfect, Pasquale couldn’t be a better host. Out the front door you have access to Via Roma and their countless restaurants and the beach which is 1 small block away. Out the back door you have direct access to the Old City. I travelled alone, not knowing the Italian language and Pasquale was always available to assist! Salerno was my favorite stop on my two week vacation around Italy and it was because of Pasquale’s apartment! I will be returning here in the future for s longer stay.
- Amira (10/5): Amazing apartment in a great location. - The apartment is perfect for two people and is in an amazing part of Salerno. On one side you have the beach and on the other you have Old Salerno. Pasquale was a great host and baked us the most tastiest peach pie. Would definately recommend staying here!
- Susan (10/5): just wonderful 10/10 - Everything about la Maison du Paradis was good the owners Pasquale and Guisy went out of their way to be helpful. The apartment was spotless clean and very comfortable and in an ideal location for things to do in Salerno. Every day there was clean linen and plenty of lovely things to eat. Highly Recommended!!! Salerno itself was a lovely place within easy reach of other places to visit.
