• Levente (10/5): Fully recommend - We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in Madeira and truly enjoyed every moment here. The apartment is located in a very good and easily accessible area, which made everything very convenient for us. Communication with the host was excellent throughout our stay. Big plus is the free cancellation. The apartment itself is extremely spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed with a modern and tasteful style. The bed linens and towels were clean, fresh, and felt brand new. The bathroom was also impeccably clean. The kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you might need if you want to prepare your own meals during your stay. Another great advantage is the parking space provided by the apartment, located just a maximum of two minutes walking distance away, which made everything much easier and stress-free for us. One of the things we loved the most was the beautiful reading area, which felt very unique, cozy, and spectacular. We highly recommend this place, and if we return to Madeira in the future, we would definitely choose to stay here again. Didn't found the ironing table Quite pricey but it offers for that price

• Tsz Hin (10/5): Fantastic stay in a clean, spacious apartment with an unbeatable location and communication. - We had a fantastic 3-night stay at Welcome Madeira Apartments in Funchal (27–30 March). Traveling as two adults, we found the apartment very spacious, clean, and comfortable—perfect for a relaxing stay. The location is ideal, right in the heart of Funchal Old Town. There are plenty of amenities nearby, including lovely restaurants, shops, and a very lively atmosphere, which made exploring the area so enjoyable. Although we didn’t meet the host in person, they were extremely responsive via WhatsApp and provided very clear, detailed instructions for accessing the property, especially as we arrived outside normal check-in hours. The video guide for accessing the private underground car park was particularly helpful. There is a €40 deposit for the parking, which was absolutely fine, and the car park itself was close by and easy to use—very convenient since we rented a car to explore Madeira. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the apartment offered great value for money. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Madeira and highly recommend it to others! The only minor issue was that the soap dispenser wasn’t working during our stay, which we reported, but it didn’t affect us and overall there were no other negatives to note.

O apartamento é sensacional, me senti segura sendo viajante solo. É possível fazer tudo a caminhar no centro de Funchal, para outras localizações tem transporte público quase a porta.

• natasha (10/5): Perfect old town Appartment - Lovely old town location with balcony. The flat was comfortable, spacious and clean. The hosts were absolutely amazing, really responsive and helpful. A washing machine would have been wonderful. Other than that all was fine.

Great communication with the rental agency. Parking in parking house nearby. We rented both of the apartments, and the top one had very comfortable beds. Huge beds. The apartment on the first floor was bigger and three people could easily sleep there but the extrabed was very hard. When raining the bottom apartment was leaking in water. The shower in top Apartment had low water pressure for hot water - but common in most places we have stayed in Madeira Central location - if you want a quite night of sleep perhaps look elsewhere but We were still surprised how quite it was considering the location

The bed is very comfortable and there is an extra Garderobe. Very good Location, parking near the Apartment. I can recommend it to everyone and we will come back for sure. Beach is 4 min Walk.

• Richard Leonard (9/5): - The apartment is located in the moddle of Funchal, wothin comfortable walking distance from everything. It is spacious and well equipped. The free parking space is very comfortable and near to the place. The staff is very responsive and speaks pretty good english. The check-in and check-out process is flexible. It is a bit noisy as it is in the middle of the city, but frok the second night you get used to it.

• Péter (9/5): A perfect starting point for exploring Madeira. - It is located in the middle of the old town, all attractions are easily accessible. There is a 24-hour parking lot a few minutes away. Despite the nearby restaurants, it is quiet. The owner is immediately available, very kind and helpful. The airport is 30 minutes away by car.

Anytime I had a question Erics would react very quickly. The apt is very clean and tidy and has evrything you need. The garage is so great and is just around the corner. The location is great since you are in the center of Funchal and yet there is barely any noise. I would recommend staying here! The bed could have been a little more comfortable but is was fine.

The space was beautifully designed, semi-industrial with a modern twist, and absolutely spotless. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, from an iron and hairdryer to thoughtful extras like snacks left for us on arrival. The layout was well thought out, with ample storage and a small but perfectly fine outdoor seat area. The location was superb, set in the heart of the old town on a charming cobbled street, just a short walk from bars, restaurants, and the main promenade. The host was incredibly responsive, communicative, and helpful throughout our stay, which made everything even more enjoyable. Another highlight was the free underground parking in a secure car park—such a convenient bonus. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Madeira. Just a small note, personally, I found the bed a bit too firm for my liking. I think a mattress topper would have made it more comfortable for me. That said, my husband found it very comfortable, so it really comes down to personal preference.

Ground floor unit so no issue with heavy bags. All.amenities like washer drier, kettle, iron , microwave, toaster . Bathroom very comfortable. Large bed very comfortable. The hosts are also very Accomodative and help with every query. Definitely recommend. Will tell.my friends to stay here in madeira when they visit and will.come back here if I come again for sure. Nothing.
• Helen (9/5): Fantastic apartment, perfect location. - Very nice well equipped modern top floor apartment, large bedroom with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage, good bathroom, bright open plan kitchen/lounge area including a dining table and leading out through sliding doors onto a fantastic spacious sun terrace with remote control powered awning. Ideal location in the Old Town on a quiet street that leads down to the seafront. So much close by including taxi rank, bus station and the cable car. The Santa Maria Street with the famous painted doors and many restaurants/bars only a few minutes away. Handy grocery shop selling fresh bread around the top street corner, great restaurant next door and superb friendly cocktail bar on the bottom corner. Another comfy seat in the living area would be useful.

• Valerie (5/5): Would like a refund. - Great location, not a bad price. The restaurant right below is the best part. They admitted to false advertising of the rooftop terrace and did nothing to remedy the issue. If the terrace room is booked, it doesn’t show up as an option and the “superior” room I booked doesn’t specify anything and so it’s been assumed by me and I’ve read reviews from multiple others saying they also got duped. It was a huge blow to our vacation because we had plans to watch the sunset there every night with dinner and wine. The staff said they were well aware that it’s confusing and that the problem exists but said there’s nothing they can do. Some of the reviews about being tricked by the terrace photos date back a year or more. The shower also floods and the bed is stiff as board.

The apartment was modern, spacious and in excellent decorative order. Access to the apartment is via a flight of stairs. This was not a problem for us but could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues.

Owners left some cookies and sweets in welcome basket which I thought was very sweet. Apartment came with everything needed for a nice trip. Would visit again. Everything was great.

Big bed was very comfortable. Little bed was not so comfortable but it really it does not matter. There was all you need in kithen and bathroom. Very, very good location.

• Erika (8/5): Very good - The location is great - right in the center, next to restaurants. The host was responsive and gave good recommendations on how to spend a vacation in Madeira. The apartment is huge, well-supplied, and clean. The Internet worked well too, which was important for calls and screen sharing. I was convinced I am booking an apartment with a rooftop terrace, which wasn't the case: it had a photo with a terrace in the accommodation preview and I couldn't check that actually there are more apartments, and our's isn't the fanciest one. The kitchen lacked basics for cooking: no salt, no oil. And don't forget your earplugs: it might get noisy outside at night.
• Ida (10/5): Great stay - Great location, good isolation which is important as it can be loud outside. Balcony was beautiful with amazing view. There is no air-con, which was not a problem for us as max temp was 25, but it can be a problem if temp goes up. It is a sunny apartment so it can get really warm.

• Yentl (10/5): Exceptional - - great location in the old town, close to a supermarktet - had all the facilities - clean - could ask al our questions to the owners - a lot of storage room There weren't bad points.. But maybe you can add some basics to cook (like salt, pepper and olive oil). Sometimes it is a waste to buy these products if you just stay for a short week.
