• Renee (8/5): - The area it is in is very nice. People are very friendly! We saw the ratings for location weren't good, but we disagree, only a quick grab ride across the bridge. We also walked to and from across the bridge. Great lil balcony and lots of room. The toilet wasn't particularly clean. It was very wet, so I wiped it down with toilet paper, and the paper was brown. I lifted the lid, and it hadn't been cleaned properly. I had to clean it myself to be happy with using it.

• Rhys (7/5): - The rooms are very spacious with a balcony! only a 25 minute walk to the old town. Room was clean, good value for money! Towels were changed on request :) The man at reception doesn’t speak a word of English so make sure you have Google translate to hand! Also do not use the online portal for payment as there’s a lot of confusion when you check out saying you haven’t paid and as you can imagine this is very hard when someone cannot speak very good English. Also The pool wasn’t cleaned regularly (green colour) and full of leaves

• Sara (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed there for two weeks and had a wonderful, relaxing and quiet time. It’s a quiet and really green environment as there is a great tree in front and many plants and pots, which make the atmosphere. The owner (or the care taker?) is a nice, elderly man who doesn’t speak English but with google translate no problem at all. He was always happy to help us like getting us a 19L Drinking water container to our room, fresh towels etc. The breakfast was delicious with many different options. The fresh banana pancake with chocolate sauce is just awesome yummy. You can even order fresh juices like mango or orange, freshly made by him, super tasty and cheap. it’s not far from the old town, you can just take one of the free bikes and in 10 minutes along the river and over the bridge you are in the busy old town. We were truely happy to stay here and not in the center, as it is just crazy busy, full and noisy. The pool is big and cleaned very day! My child and me were using it nearly everyday for leaning swimming. The rooms are light, really spacious, great bathroom with an awesome shower and a super comfortable big bed (the mattress was great), a big cupboard, kettle, chairs and balcony with sitting area, dryer for clothing etc! It’s a big recommendation to stay here! Nothing!
• Jasdeep (7/5): Comfortable stay, great value for money, friendly owner - AVOID motorbike company promoted here. - Room was super spacious and bed was really comfortable. The bathroom is large but didn’t smell great, however this could just be the drainage in the area. Lovely balcony & the pool area is super nice. One issue we faced was when it came to booking a moped for the day through the owner of the hotel. This was an awful experience, as the bike broke down repeatedly, to the point it was extremely dangerous to drive on the busy roads as it would just cut out. The owner of the bike company was very reluctant to help, therefore be aware if renting a motorbike through the hotel, as this is the company they promote. The hotel laundry service was super speedy however some clothes came back dirtier than they went. Overall, the hotel was comfortable and we would recommend staying here, I would simply suggest staying away from renting a moped through the hotel, as this was very stressful.

• Judit (5/5): Pay 20% more and stay in a new villa instead - The breakfast variations were okay. The view was somewhat nice. The bed was comfy There were a few guests in the villa who were all very quite I didn’t want to leave a review but the OYO team sent me 4 messages to leave a review so here it is: The roomI stayed need deep cleaning and some painting. The curtains were not washed for years. Spiderweb on the bathroom cabinet that was dirty. Dirty fridge and windows. I did asked for clean sheets, which they immediately changed. They regularly clean the floor and the sink, toilet as far I could tell. There’s a rooster next door that starts screaming at 4am just like others said. I could hear it even with earplugs in The communication just didn’t work: 1 - the oyo team is just a customer service team, they are not on site. Thet just send mostly automated but very polite messages sometimes without reading the previous conversation, so it didn’t add any value to my stay, moreover it was annoying that they kept on asking me, I reolied but there was no follow-up. I communicated my conserns to them, nothing happened 2 - the family/staff on site who runs the villa were very smily but half of the times I had to call them on the phone to come as they were not there. Very friendly people though, but zero english knowledge. Google translate might work

• Claire (2/5): Very poor - We didn’t end up staying and we’re not charged Our experience was likely a different one to most as the young boys that were staying in a room across from where our room was supposed to be were drinking and smoking. Their behaviour towards us made us feel unsafe and thus booked other accommodation. The staff were not at the desk to check us in when we arrived, we got there at the 6:30pm. We said we would get there from 6-7 pm so the fact that there was no one at reception was odd but apparently is normal for this accommodation

• Helena (9/5): Best value for money! - The room was spacious, clean and modern. The bed was super comfy and the balcony was a great addition. The property also offers free bicycles, great wifi, a swimming pool and we also used the kitchen to cook a few meals. Breakfast was tasty and the staff was super friendly. The only thing I would suggest is having 2 eggs for breakfast instead of one. The eggs are big and the quality is great but I wished we could’ve had 2.

• Anna (10/5): We loved it - The place is located in a calm village/island just 15 minutes walk from the centre, but you can also use the free bicycles. Beaches are about 20 minutes drive with bicycles. Free breakfast with different options like banh mi and eggs, or pancakes. Tea or coffee also included. We loved our room since it’s very big and with a terrace. The bathroom also is very big. The swimming pool is also very nice and around the area you can find many shops and restaurant. Great value for the money. Highly recommended

• Emma (9/5): Superb - Very clean and comfortable room with a fridge and a warm shower. More of a home stay, but the gentleman running it is very kind and the pool is small but great. The location is quiet and private. Just a little bit far from the night market and old town area, the 30 min walk isn’t too bad but the weather was very hot when we stayed.

• Marieke (7/5): Lovely and comfy place! - The beds were super soft, also a nice shower. The pool was clean and sunny. There were free bikes. The last night there was so much noise from a party a couple of houses further. I asked the owner and they said it was a wedding party. It would have been nice if they told me earlier, so I could have adapt my plans to it.

The problem here is no one available for assist the guest, we have to wait for hours to find someone for help. Second day room was not clean, we had to call them and ask for towels, shampoo not given. Hot water and water not working, we had to call them time to time, no water pressure in the shower and sometimes no water, careful with hot water, there is no consistency, suddenly coming out with piping hot, you will get burn your skin.

• kayneb2019 (10/5): Great location and service. - The Suburban is the perfect place to stay in Hoi An. Not far from the centre of town but far away enough to be quiet and peaceful. The staff are helpful, the services excellent. The free bike was a nice extra, I needed some exercise after holidaying and eating and drinking far too much....
• BHux89 (10/5): A few nights of r & r within travelling - The villa is beautiful, we came here after a travelling the north of Vietnam and the contrast from Hanoi was incredible. There seems to be a slower pace of life in Hoi An and this is reflected in the calm atmosphere of the villa. Rooms were spacious and clean, with a lovely bathroom and the bonus of a balcony. The pool was an especially lovely treat! The family are also lovely. We really enjoyed our three nights and would definitely return.

• Caroline Lund (10/5): Suburban Villa, Hoi An - De var rigtig søde og meget hjælpsomme. Den første aften fik vi en masse informationer om Hoi An og de udflugter, som de tilbyder. Morgenmaden var rigtig lækkert, og man kunne også gratis låne cykler. Cyklerne har bare ikke nogen gear, og de er tilpasset til deres egen højde, så de var lidt lave. Poolen var rigtig dejlig, men der var ikke rigtig nogen steder at ligge og sole sig, da der kun var 4 liggestole, og de to var lidt beskidte. Men alt i alt en rigtig god oplevelse.

• stinethestrup (8/5): Nice, quiet place close to Hoi An - Stayed for 4 nights and chose this place because it was located a bit outside of Hoi An, which was nice. Hoi An was a short ride on the bicycle away and you can borrow the bicycles for free. Big, clean rooms. Nice bathroom and balcony. Nice breakfast and friendly, helpful family. Only thing I didn’t like, was that there was no cleaning of the room in the four days I stayed there. I had to ask to have the toiletbin changed which was quite unhygenic in my opinion. Other than that, it was a very nice place to stay.
• Lewis (8/5): Great place but a bit further out than you think - We stayed at the Suburban Villas for 4 nights in Hoi An. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They really wanted to help make your stay comfortable and couldn't do enough for you. The room was clean and had a bed, small wardrobe, a chair and a mini-fridge. The bed was comfy enough but not the most comfortable we've ever had. The only real issue with suburban villas is the location on Cam Nam. It is a good 25-30 minute walk into Old Town and when we were there none of the more local restaurants or cafes were open so travelling into the old town was the only option for food... Not too much of a problem but we were there in rainy season so even borrowing the free bicycles wasn't an ootion. Overall Suburban Villas was nice and I would recommend it, just be aware the location isn't as central to Hoi An as it appears.

• GraceP1285 (10/5): Brilliant hospitality - Very impressed with our stay at the suburban villa! Beds were super comfortable and exactly what we needed after long days out and about. Simple breakfast included with the stay. Push bikes are available free of charge and made getting around super easy! Also an enjoyable ride into town. Lyn was extremely helpful and sweet with understandable English! We loved our stay here!!
• Peter (8/5): - Das Hotel liegt in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend und etwas abseits der Altstadt. Mit dem kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellten Fahrrad ist man aber in maximal 7 bis 10 Minuten am Markt, welcher sich am Rande des historischen Bereiches befindet. Die Eigentümer sind sehr nett und jederzeit hilfsbereit Fragen zu beantworten. Das Haus ist noch sehr neu und daher sehr gepflegt mit schön angelegtem Garten mit Pool. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und der Balkon lädt zum draußensitzen ein. Es gibt eigentlich nichts auszusetze, außer dass das Frügstück ausbaufähig ist. Betrachtet man aber den Preis der Übernachtung mit Frühstück, ist dieser annähernd unschlagbar.

• jaredan (10/5): Wonderful stay on Cam Nam Island - It was so wonderful to stay at this new Homestay just a short jaunt from Hoi An. The family was just delightful and eager to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. The rooms were big and clean and sunny. The balcony was awesome. The bathroom was beautiful but the hot water was as described: difficult to find a consistent comfortable temperature. We walked into Hoi An the first day, but had them call us a taxi after that. Really simple and convenient. Exploring Cam Nam island on their bicycles was so much fun. We were VERY sad to leave this place. Hope we can come back again someday.

• Jon (6/5): Photos are not too accurate - Decent place to stay given the very low price. Not close or walking distance to anything you want to see in Hoi An though. Also, more along the lines of 'someone's house turned lodge', as opposed to a 'villa'. Pool was green and not ready to use, but the people working were friendly and helpful. Next time would spend a few more dollars and stay closer to Hoi An.

The bikes are great as it makes it easy to get around the island (a separate village) and over to hoi an. To be honest we prefered the local area to the old town more peaceful and fun to explore the locals eateries 😁
• MsDeeChiangMai (8/5): Mostly Lovely - This guest house is very lovely. The rooms are extremely spacious, clean and modern. There is even a pool downstairs and I am pretty sure you could use their kitchen facilities too if you so wish. They provide a simple breakfast every day. The price is excellent but be aware this is because it's 1.5km out of the town. They provide bicycles for free and it is a pleasant walk but watch out for when it rains. The rooms are very sufficient. The family who own it are very sweet. There are a few things I feel I must mention though. My room was not cleaned once and I stayed for four days. I am sure they would have cleaned it if I asked, which I didn't but I feel that I should not have had to. The shower is very powerful but whatever temperature you set it to, it always just switches from very hot to cold and then back again, it was no biggie but a bit annoying. Also, I assumed the bottles of water in the fridge were free. As every reasonsble hotel in the world provides a bottle a day of free water. They charged me for these when I left which was unexpectedly cheeky. I would still recommend it, anyhow, but would have given it five stars if it was not for those things.

• supersimmo (10/5): Lovely hideaway - We stayed here for 5 nights and had a lovely, comfortable stay. Ms Lien and her family are really very sweet and would do anything to make your stay more comfortable. It has only been open for two months so still gleaming and sparkling. We walked to the town on our first day which took 25mins so we made use of the bikes thereafter, which took 7mins. Plenty of places to eat and drink and SHOP...wow so many choices. We had a pair of trousers and a short sleeve shirt made by Ms Lien’s sister who owns a tailors in town and we were happy with these. We didn’t use the pool as we didn’t have the weather for it but I’m sure it would be lovely in sunnier weather. Breakfast was a small selection from an a la carte menu and I opted for banana pancakes each morning. The local cockerel will ensure you don’t sleep beyond 7am but we kinda got use to it by the end of our stay. WiFi excellent as well as plenty of hot water, but if you are on a higher floor and the water pressure seems low, ask them to turn the pump on. I guess they don’t have it on at all times as it does tend to make a bit of a noise. A lovely family run business that we hope will go from strength to strength...we wish you all the best.
• Mathildeetgilles (10/5): Wonderfull - We have great time in Suburban villa. All is really new there. This place is just opened few months ago. We loved it. All is clean, the staff is really sympathic and helpfull, you can have free breakfast (we loved the banana pancakes and the hot chocolate), you have free pool. During our stay, we booked a tour to see My Soon. The guide was nice and you have enough time to see what you want. Also, we bought clothes in the Shop of a member of the family (Se se Clothes), a New one too. We recommand it too: good job, Quick and staff friendly. Nothing bad to say.
• carolinewesleys (10/5): Highly recommended - The owners are exceptional!! They are always scared that you are not comfortable or that you miss anything! That's why they always make sure you have anything you need!! Good location, good views on the river! Absolutely everything was perfect!! A massive thank you!!
• icolettte (10/5): The best place in Hoi An! - Tuy and her family are the loveliest people on earth!! You need anything? Just ask! Free breakfast, free bicycles, free pool! Everything is brand new and the location is in Cam nam island (1,5km from the old town, 5 min by bike) and 3km from the beach, 15 min by bike)! There is a laundry service! We got picked up at the bus station at 6:00am!! (By motorbike, you better have a backpack ;) !!) incredibly clean and spacious!! Thank you Tuy!! Love to your family!!
• Svein (10/5): Excellent family hotel - This hotel is perfect!!! The whole family who takes care of the hotel is very very friendly!!!!! They try to do everything to help you. The construction is very new as they started the business just a few weeks ago. It is very clean and organized. The swimming pool is nice and they have bikes for free. We stayed here 4 days but I would like to stay longer :) Thanks a lot Ms Lien
• Sannudai (10/5): My favourite in Vietnam - This place is just awesome!! The owners are so lovely and helpful and really care. The rooms are spacious, all with private balcony and of course everything is super clean. The location is in a lovely neighbourhood, quiet and not far from the old town. As bikes are free, it’s just a 5-10 minutes ride. Breakfast is also included and you can choose between eggs, pancakes, soups and so on. I really love this place and highly recommend it!!
• penelopel888 (10/5): Insider tip - The villa just opened and therefore is still a real insider tip! Everything is brand new, very clean and up to european standards - including the pool. The room is bright and spacious and has a comfortable bed, a balcony and a functioning aircon. The staff is very sweet and helpful. They have good ideas on where to go and organize tours (to My Son for example) if you are interested. They offer bikes for free which is very convinient as the villa is not located in the historic center but an easy 5min bike ride away. Therefore the neighborhood is very quiet and lovely. For breakfast (which you can enjoy on your balcony, the roof or in the garden) you can choose between fresh fried eggs, a tasty omelette with baguette or simply baguette with coffee, tea and fresh orange juice. But it seems that you could always ask for other dishes or drinks. The washing service was very convenient and cheap. Also the pickup service and airport-transport were well organized. The whole staff is very ambitious, uncomplicated and friendly. We had a great time at the villa!
