• Enaam (8/5): - Conveniente, con cocina incluida y aire acondicionado. Cerca de varios lugares en Granada, ofrece privacidad. El host también es muy amable y super helpful. El baño está dentro del cuarto y la puerta está dañada actualmente no cierra, todo el olor se puede pasar al cuarto con el aire puesto.

• Robert (9/5): Friendly staff, quiet location. - Stayed in the terrace room, we loved hanging out on the terrace. The courtyard was a neat feature of the place. The owner Carlos spoke great English and was very outgoing and friendly! It’s a bit far from the centre but it wasn’t a big deal overall.
• Michael (10/5): Great large place to stay. - It is near the main plaza, but on a side street, so it's not too noisy. I loved the hot water shower, because you don't get that everywhere in Nicaragua. There is a coffeemaker, so had coffee every morning first thing. No microwave!
• Lisa (9/5): Great value if you want to spread out and cook your own food - Very spacious room with full kitchen and AC, on a quieter street. Carlos, the owner, was very responsive and friendly. Strong cleaning solution/bleach smell in my room that didn’t go away for the entire time I stayed there. Supposedly had hot showers, but mine were mostly lukewarm.
• Kubik (10/5): - Good location in the centre of beautiful Granada. The apartment very comfortable with open kitchen. Very private. The owner is very helpful and responsive. We had a lovely time staying in Casa Calala. Maybe not a very big thing, but an electric kettle would be great. Boiling water in the tropics is very important. More plants for the garden would add more serenity to the place.
• Denise (8/5): Would definitely return and we recommend Casa Calala as a good safe place to stay - Property was within easy walking distance of the main points of interest. The availability of hot water for showers and sinks was wonderful. Thank you for that amenity. Carlos was an attentive and helpful host. Everything was good and as advertized but it would be better if the entire building was designated a non smoking area, as smoke from the communal area infiltrated into our lovely smoke free apartment.
• Mariska (10/5): Heerlijk! - Prachtig koloniaal pand in het centrum met het centrale plein en de Mercado municipal en winkels op loopafstand; mooie ruime kamer met airco, heerlijke binnentuin; fijne keuken( kamer wordt om de dag schoongemaakt inc beddengoed. Uitstekend beveiligd. Carlos, de eigenaar is een geweldige en enthousiaste gastheer met boeiende verhalen over geschiedenis en cultuur van Latijn-Amerika en Nicaragua. Het Chocolademueum is een aanrader.

Gut ausgestattete Freiluftküche, super Service von Carlos! Wir hatten das Apartment Nummer zwei. Das liegt direkt an der Straße. Man hat das Gefühl die Autos fahren durch das Zimmer nachts ist Gott sei Dank, aber kaum Verkehr.

• Claudio (10/5): Nice stay! - We had a nice stay here. Carlos was a lovely host, very friendly. The room was a great size. The kitchen area was well equipped. Air con was strong and wifi worked very well. Close to the city centre on foot. A couple of big supermarkets around 10 minutes walk away. We thought we had booked a room with hot water, but Carlos informed us that he had removed that from the listing of some rooms due to issues with a water heater. It was a little frustrating to find this out when we arrived. Make sure you check the listing of each room to see whether it defo includes hot water or not.

• Oksana (9/5): Superb - We had a great time staying in Casa Calala. Carlos is very friendly, warm, and responsible with fluid English. Everything worked well including A/C, lots of room, the kitchen is separated, all very secure , quiet at night or day. Carlos recommended a tour company and we were very pleased with their service. He also ordered a taxi for us and we had a late check out. We will definitely stay again! We liked everything. We wish that we stay more than 2 nights, too short for beautiful Granada.

It’s value for money and you are close to everything!You will enjoy your stay here! - The property was spacious with 2 bedrooms and room for our teenagers to spread out! The outdoor verandah was pleasant to sit out and enjoy the breeze with a cool drink! The unit/apartment was spotlessly clean and the cleaning lady very thorough! The real bonus was the manager! He was so attentive and helped us with booking tours, etc which is a plus when you are not fluent in Spanish. We appreciated his honesty too!!! A kettle or coffee maker would have been nice.
• Rees (8/5): Very good - We stayed here for 7 nights, and had a great time. Carlos is so helpful and accommodating, he was attentive, gave great advice and was very responsive. We messed up our booking and he helped us correct it and also helped us to check out at 2am last minute which was very kind of him. The AC is amazing, cleaned regularly and in general good value for money. We liked the location, two big superstores walking distance for us and very close to town. A smart TV would be great. Kitchen is outside as explained in the summary but there are plenty of fans and just need to be prepared.
• Rowen (8/5): Great place, wonderful owner - The entire apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Carlos, the owner, was a fantastic help to us throughout, he made it extremely easy to book transportation which made our lives much easier and less stressful! Definitely speak to Carlos before booking any tours, he can help you to get a good deal! The only thing we could mention was that our specific room had a door to the street that did not have soundproofing, so on one night we were woken by traffic.

The place is very clean and safe. Carlos is a great host. He booked our trips which were amazing. He also booked our onward travel. Carlos was always available to answer any questions.
