Guest Reviews
- Margaret (8/5): -
There was no kettle or hot water available to make coffee or tea. A big hole in the toilet needed to be covered to prevent mosquitoes and other insects from entering. The room lacked a duvet, and the television only displayed content in Greek; it would have been better if it included an English option. Overall, the experience was average and manageable.
- Munkhnasan (10/5): - thank you for everything
- Mark (10/5): - The staff is great. The room was great. The stay was great.
- Steven (10/5): - Lovely front desk staff who made sure I had the right info about how to enjoy Athens best. Their warm welcome and care for me during my stay was such a breath of fresh air.
The room itself was fine for my needs as a single traveler who was out snd about exploring most of the few days I was there for - comfortable bed, shower that was hot and worked well and good aircon that kept me cool on the hot Athens nights. If you are looking for a budget stay in Athens then this is a great pick.
- Franca (2/5): - This was the most unsafe I felt in any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The place did not look anything like the pictures online. I would not recommend this to anybody ever. It was a very shady neighborhood. And hotel wax a dump. The bed was horrendous. Save your money from my stay here.
- Darren (10/5): Very nice hotel - Great hotel, friendly staff with excellent advice, comfortable bed, great air con, nice shower, great LG TV, superb location just on Victoria square close to underground. Can't imagine a better budget stay, will return.
- Troy (10/5): Fantastic, Family-run Hotel!! in the ❤️ of Athens! - The 2 Brothers, Theo and Kris are doing a Wonderful job of taking over the Running of their Parent’s Hotel. It has been in the Family for 37 years and they are more than willing to help guests with very Helpful advice on anything pertaining to enjoying your stay in Athens even more!! I found them both (& their Parents!) Fantastic Hosts and a Credit to their Aussie/Greek upbringing!! I wish them the Best of Luck with the coming Summer season and am sure anyone who stays at their Hotel will enjoy their Geuine Warmth and Hospitality like I did…❤️
- sandra (2/5): - The bathroom was standard size not too tiny. There were clean sheets.
On the other hand we would Not recommend this hotel. We had booked originally for one night then week later added a night. Location not convenient. It took us a while to get there from acropolis... we thought it was closer as indicated by expedia .. The host argued pretty much about every one of our concerns, the misinformation on expedia site, the noise... even with ear plugs it was noisy, - didnt want to stay on that side of noisy street. He called us liars and he was going to call authorities etc as we tried to sort out room problem . It was bizarre and then he proceed to say everything was on camera. Good! As far as we were concerned. In the end we left the second night and he got a room paid for!
- Catherine (8/5): - Staff was very friendly. Convenient location.
- Criss (10/5): - They have an absolutely amazing staff. Very friendly and caring.
- Robert (10/5): - Very friendly
- Houchang (10/5): - This hotel is very good value. Amenities are simple, but the rooms are quiet, the bathrooms are well appointed, air-conditioning is good, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
- costas (10/5): - Very friendly staff, clean room, convenient close to the center of city and transportation.
- Patricia (10/5): - The staff were fabulous - extremely friendly and efficient.
- Helene (10/5): - Great stay in Athens and very friendly helpful staff!
- Ciara (10/5): Great location and value for money - Great location in easy walking distance to Metro line 1. Clean and spacious room. Friendly and welcoming staff.
- Nacoe (10/5): - Location is right near Victoria square and metro - super easy and lots of little places to grab a coffee and a bite. Even tho it is a little further out from the main hub of attractions the neighborhood is diverse, has a character of its own and is full of life!
- Diarmuid (10/5): Very good city centre location, lovely room... - Very good city centre location, lovely room, friendly staff and overall a great experience. No complaints at all.
- Teresa (10/5): - Small family own charming hotel with a beautiful garden.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel very clean - This little hotel is actually really great. It was very clean, specious room, the front desk staff was very helpful (especially the older brother who helped me with all my requests). Room had great a/c, was very clean. I stayed for 3 nights was told cleaning happens only every 3 days, but I was given a towel when I asked for. Felt very safe at day and until dark/evening. 5 minutes from many eateries/cafes. 10 minutes from Museum where all the hop-on-hop-off busses are located. Was very content, found my way around easily. Overall, I recommend. CONS: No elevator
- Elinor (8/5): - Overall this hotel is good value but it does have some drawbacks.
Good stuff: close to metro station, lots of places to eat locally, comfy bed, lovely staff, decent shower, good WiFi, fridge in room
Bad stuff: no lift, no breakfast, room at front was quite noisy, local area looks rough (but seems to be fine, as a solo female traveller I felt safe).
So yeah there are probably nicer places to stay in Athens but this one is pretty good and I am a repeat visitor.
- Tanya (10/5): - Great value room. Simple and Clean. Good hot water. Friendly people. Close to Victoria metro stop. Centrally located. Nearby to many stores and restaurants. Minutes walk to coffee shops and a plaza with many eateries. 25 minute walk to acropolis area.
- david (8/5): - A welcoming hotel.
Large room with balcony.
Excellent bathroom and shower.
Staff very helpful and room cleaned daily.
- Xiaofan (10/5): - Very friendly staff, close to a major subway station
- Ahmed (8/5): - Teo on the reception desk was super friendly and nice .. he always try his best to help and make it easier .. thank you bro
- Tesfaldet (10/5): - It’s A Clean Room, Safe Area,Good Location And A very Welcoming Family.
- Stevan (10/5): Excellent - Excellent location. Walking distance to restaurants and big grocery store. Nice cold air conditioning and hot water with high pressure in shower. Balcony rooms available. No street noise around hotel. Lots of people walking in the street. And great price.
- Stephan (10/5): - The receptionist was very friendly. The bathroom was very modern.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was very accommodating
- Verified traveler (2/5): Should be shut down - Horrifying experience whereby I was locked in hotel and forced to pay extra. Illegal and appalling.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do not stay here - Hotel locked me in and demanded I pay extra for laundry. As a single female this was threatening and terrifying. They also couldn’t produce said laundry and kept changing their story. Sadly would have missed my flight if I’d contacted the police so handed over money. Pure robbery. Appalled.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A family run business where you’re treated as a member. Theo, Christo, and night clerk (forgot his name) provided best possible service! Thanks guys!
- Visiting_guest (6/5): - Nice staff friendly and helpful close to the metro station and museum
- Laura (8/5): Great little hotel - Had a great stay at this hotel. I got into Athens quite late after a cancelled ferry and the staff was very helpful and the room very clean. Everything you could need.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is a pleasant hotel and the reception was good.
- Seow (10/5): Fear no more, it is great place! - The hotel is near Victoria Station. It may look rough, but it is ok. Food are easy found around the corner. Transport by metro is easy. Walking distance to railway station. We have great time staying in the hotel as well as locality. Staff are great. It easy to go all tourist destination by metro.
- Anthony (10/5): Excellent stay - Theo is one of the greatest hosts I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Hotel is very comfortable, clean, and the local neighborhood is friendly. Thank you Theo!
- Neil (10/5): Great little friendly hotel! - Lovely people running the place. Great location 100m from a metro station - easy to get anywhere, while not paying city centre prices (or having to deal with the crowds). Shortish walk to train station and short taxi rides to bus stations if you're exploring outside Athens. Rooms are fair size, clean and comfy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A really good value place to stay. It does have it's downsides, no breakfast, no lift and the neighborhood looks a bit rough (though I think it's safe enough). On the positive side, there's loads of shops and restaurants locally as well as two laundromats. It's a couple of minutes walk from the metro. My room was large, spotlessly clean, had a comfy bed, a great shower, a fridge and Aircon. The family who own the place are lovely, really made me feel welcome. So whilst it isn't the most stylish hotel ever it is great value for money and I would be more than happy to stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The rooms were clean and they were also cleaned daily. The staff were very helpful and nice especially when i needed assistance with a tour issue.
- Paul (10/5): Perfect for budget travellers. - Basic hotel with friendly, family run style. Staff are super helpfull and genuine. Very clean and a good location. Great price too.
- Graham (10/5): Great little budget hotel - Great little budget hotel, conveniently very near Victoria metro. Basic but very clean and friendly. Quiet room, good WiFi.
- Nikolais (8/5): - The bed and the bathroom was very clean.
But i did not like that there was not an elevator in the hotel
- Rebecca (8/5): Good stay - Shower head too low had to hold it and wash. Blanket not clean. No lift. Area didn’t feel safe but that’s Athens I’m afraid. Loud at night and during day from street noise. Good things: aircon, close to tourist locations, I was allowed to check in early :)
- Verified traveler (8/5): standard acceptable Athens hotel - The hotel was fine, typical of an Athens hotel in my experience. A/C worked, decent shower pressure, enough electrical outlets, Wifi was ok, bed more comfortable than average. I didn't see a lift/elevator -- maybe there was one and I didn't see it? -- but you might want to double check that if it's an issue for you. Fast walk to the metro. There was a snafu with the reservation and I think that was largely the fault of Hotels.com not the hotel itself. Still, I felt condescended to, and the staff was kind of passive aggressive with me about the whole thing. I assume most people wouldn't have an occasion to experience that so you'd probably be ok.
- Ali (10/5): I would stay again. - I would stay again. Wonderful staff and willing to help. Hotel just over a block from Victoria Square metro station.
- Mike (8/5): Very comfortable and clean, good size room - Cleanest hotel we have stayed in. Great staff. Excellent cafe/fresh juice bar near the metro with great prices, we had breakfast there every day
- john (10/5): very good hotel in its class - everyone are friendly and nice and room are good too
- Vardit (2/5): good for no one!!! - The worse hotel ever
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The reception staff were the warmest and friendliest I have ever encountered at any hotel anywhere. They made us so welcome. The room was very good especially for the very reasonable price. The hotel was very conveniently located with just a 3 minute walk to Victoria Metro station.
