Yushan (10/5): - The room was very comfortable and great value for money. The location is excellent, within walking distance to the old town, yet away from the crowded and noisy areas. Dang was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and gave us many helpful travel tips that helped us better understand Chiang Mai. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again next time we visit Chiang Mai.

Ali Selim (10/5): The Best of the Bests 😍 - I had a wonderful stay at Bee Friend Hostel in Chiang Mai. The location is very central, the rooms are clean, and everything I needed was available at a very reasonable price. What made my experience truly special was the owner, Mr. Dang. From the moment I landed at the airport, he took care of me—organizing my transfer to the hostel, clearly explaining everything, and providing detailed information about activities in the city. He even helped me book some of them. Most importantly, he checked in with me every single day to make sure I had everything I needed. Traveling alone, I especially appreciated his kindness and warm hospitality. It made me feel safe, comfortable, and very welcome. Thanks to him, my stay in Chiang Mai was not only convenient but also memorable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the city!

Jack (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed at Bee friend hostel after spending about a month in the area over the last 2 years staying on various places. Dang is the most kind and helpful / attentive host I have had the pleasure of staying with. They run an awesome smoothie bar downstairs and travel assistance gig. He is there for his guests weather it be us walking in at 10pm while he's having a night snack we hint on what we are wanting tomorrow, he stops what he's doing, calls up the owner and gets you a non (tourist) price if he can after hes clocked off still workig hard for his guests. And you trust whatever he recomends as it never fails. The room was clean, air-conditioned and had a fridge, also very quiet. Location is perfect for someone on a tight budget with the cheap night bazar food right around the corner or to eat at michelin restaurants and visit secret bars for the people willing to splash out oh and also massage places nearby. A lively area walking distance from most things. We stayed in old town before and we did a lot more walking. Thank you for your amazing hosting .

Pastelblue (6/5): It’s OK - The owner and the staffs were so nice and welcome. The owner also kindly gave me some info about night markets as he knew it was my first time in Chiang Mai. Overall, people were great. I booked a single room to stay alone but the restroom is separated from the room. It was unexpected because it is normally supposed to be in the single room. And I didn’t like the restroom because it looked old and uncomfortable. There is no mirror in there. And the flow of shower was too strong and too weak. It means it had no moderate level of the flow of the water.

It was clean, comfortable and just what we needed for a place to stay, eat and sleep before going out to explore Chiang Mai. But what made this stay exceptional was the host Mr Dang, he was so friendly and informative, helped us with booking activities, recommendations and was just a very nice welcoming host to make you feel comfortable when you first arrive! We will definitely be staying here again when we return to Chaing Mai. Also, his smoothie bowl cafe below the hostel is amazing! We had breakfast there every morning and it was delicious. He’s always smiling, kind, and eager to help with arranging tours or transportation, making our stay stress-free. His good English made communication a breeze. The property is very clean, and our room was lovely, featuring a balcony overlooking the street. Despite being centrally located, it was quiet at night, so we had no trouble sleeping. The private bathroom was outside the room, which was a bit unusual but still convenient and clean. There’s a cozy café downstairs where we enjoyed a good breakfast. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore around. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Chiang Mai – it’s a fantastic value with incredible hospitality!
Sarah (10/5): So Nice We Stayed Twice - The rooms are clean, comfy, and quiet. The location couldn’t be better, with restaurants all around and the night market next door. The host, Dang, and his family also run a restaurant on the first floor that is the perfect place for breakfast. Dang had great recommendations for things to do and went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. For example, I had souvenirs to send home before checking out on a Sunday. Dang caught me before I left and called all of the surrounding post offices to find one that was open. On another instance, we needed to print our train tickets. Even though he didn’t have a printer, he had many suggestions of where to go and who to ask. We loved our stay here so much that we didn’t think twice before booking again the next time we were in Chiang Mai. P.s. you must try the brownies - Dang’s daughter makes them and they are the best we’ve ever had! Wouldn’t change a thing!

Mr Dang is what I aspire to be in the future! He owns a hostel a cafe and a tour agency. With that - it was just easy to go around. He recommends the things you’ll enjoy. I’m thankful to him cause he organized my airport transfer, elephant trip, and recommended me the BEST MASSAGE. They even have yummy fruit bowls too! Bee Friend Hostel is homey and comfy! I had a good sleep and rest, I also got to work during my stay. Their internet is reliable! They have a cafe downstairs so get your caffeine and energy drink/bowl with Mr Dang. It accompanies a restaurant serving high quality food ranging from fried egg and croissants to customisable acai and smoothie bowels. The best thing about this property is the amazing host who helped us throughout our trip from start to end! We were very grateful to be welcomed everyday with a smile and greeting. He was approachable and we received recommendations for food from here which was beautiful. Overall, this is a great place to stay and I would highly recommend to a friend! Hodges (10/5): Best experice I’ve had in all of Thailand! - The owner, Dang, goes above and beyond with anything you need help with. He speaks English very well and is extremely friendly and helpful. He let me leave my big bag at the property for 4 days while I was on a motorcycle trip and he also booked me a taxi to the bus station when my credit card was not working. The smoothie bowls are delicious and the coffee is great. Amazing location and the most comfortable beds I’ve had in Thailand. 10/10 would recommend this great property and staff!

Dang is a fantastic host, always ready with a smile or a great suggestion for activities (which he will happily help you book!). The location is perfect and super walkable without being noisy. We had a great time exploring the neighborhood and sitting on the porch at night watching the city start to buzz. Bonus: there’s a great cafe downstairs with some of the best acai bowls I’ve ever had, and I’d wager a guess the rest of the food is just as delicious. We can’t wait to come back! Absolutely nothing. We enjoyed every minute.
Heidi (9/5): Wondering value - and smoothie bowls! - The hostel is well-located near the river and old city; there are numerous coffee shops, massage studios, bars, outdoor markets, and restaurants within walking distance. The bed was large and very comfortable, the room (on the third floor) had a spacious balcony, and the downstairs cafe had delicious smoothie bowls and pancakes. Also, the host was very kind and helpful! The room fronted the street, so there was a lot of noise from the bars and speeding scooters. This may not be a problem for you, but I can be a sensitive sleeper.

The host waited late into the night for me to arrive after my flight was delayed. Transportation arranged from the airport. Host is incredible person kind generous and super helpful. He helped me arrange spa services and day tour. The vibe at this stay is warm friendly and safe although the space is on a busy street I got the best sleep of my life here. 100/10 would recommend.
Matt (8/5): Great location and nice owner. - Great location, Dang, the owner was very helpful and kind. Helped set up tours and constantly checking if he could do anything for us. Location close to night markets, great foo, and yet still very quiet for sleeping. Room we stayed in had only windows to a hallway, wanting to keep some privacy we kept the shudders closed which led to no natural light. Owner was very accommodating to possibly change rooms but was not possible with other bookings.

The rooms are so homely and the location is PERFECT, right next to anything you need and a 2 minute walk from local markets and bars. Breakfasts at Bee Friend Hostel are delicious and just what you need to start the day. If you want the best Chiang Mai experience, stay here! Nothing. Everything is perfect.

It’s advertised as a hostel but more like a motel. Private bedroom and bathroom. Convenient location and the ground floor is a cafe. Recommended, would definitely stay again. Little bit of noise from outside at night but not so bad.

For every question like day trips, Mountainbiking , food he knew the right answer and even negotiated some better prices for us. The river nearby opens up there and the restaurants he recommended were Just great at reasonable prices. Varieté (must see) just a couple of minutes away. Very healthy breakfast. We definitly will stay there at our next time in CM.

Stav (10/5): Perfect!! - Too bad we didn't find this place sooner. We absolutely loved it! The room is great and Dang is just the loveliest host! He's so friendly and goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. Him and his employees speak fluent English and were very helpful in anything we needed. When we left to Chiang Rai for 2 nights Dang happily agreed to storage our luggage until we come back. We're excited to stay there again! Now the 2nd best part, is the fact that you're gonna live right above a small cafe that sells healthy food, mostly smoothie bowls. THOSE SMOOTHIE BOWLS ARE TO DIE FOR. Seriously you HAVE to try it! Dang and the others put so much effort into making the perfect smoothie bowl and it was the best breakfast I had in months. We're coming back now and we'll definitely come back in the future. Thank you Dang and the team!! Everything was perfect.
Ron (10/5): Exceptional - The host was incredibly nice! he welcomed us in open hands and it seemed that he cares about his hostel. The hostel is quiet & friendly! You could even buy a healthy breakfast in the morning and the service was very good.

Orla (10/5): we Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend - I couldn’t recommend anywhere better to stay in Chiang Mai. The host, Dang, is so helpful with any plans you want to make while in Chiang Mai and makes you feel very at home. I felt very unwell on arrival after traveling, Dang organised for a room to be prepared for us allowing us to check in 2 1/2 hours early to rest. We we’re unable to taste the food but it looks amazing in the cafe below the hostel - especially the açaí bowls!! the shop was approx. 15mins walk to the night markers at the weekend and right beside all the bars! The facilities were spotless & beds were the comfiest we have slept in so far in Thailand. Nothing - highly recommend

The owner dear Dang was incredibly kind and helpful, also speaks prefect English!! His wife makes the most incredible fruit bowls. The rooms were great and clean, prefect location. Youngwoo (10/5): Family, single,couple travelers ,everyone is happy over here. - Great location.next to night bazaar. You get anything within 2min walk food,shopping and rental bike ... If you don't stay in Hilton or Shang ria, this is the place to stay in cheap ,clean and good location. I like everything from this place.
Thomas (10/5): incredible - hot water, nice bed, dark room :), SUPER friendly staff, delicious coffee and healthy snack bowls, fridge, good a/c, QUIET have to walk up 2-4 stories depending on your room but I loved the exercise, so more of a plus than minus. no window, which, again, I loved. but if you want light and widows, then maybe not for you. so basically nothing bad :)!

Christie (10/5): Highly recommend!!! - The Bee Hostel was our favourite place we have stayed in Thailand so far. Dang, the owner is super friendly & welcoming. He even let is check-in to our room early twice. One being at 8am after our overnight bus arrived early (hours before the check in time)!!. The bed was comfy and big, shower was hot, we had clean towels, free water and a working fridge. we loved it so much that we even stayed again on our way back through Chiang Mai. Location is great, right by the night bazaar. The hotel is also above a smoothie/breakfast shop which does amazing huge smoothies and pancakes for a good price. Highly recommend, thank you Dang. :)))

גולן (9/5): great value for money, great location. good if you plan to travel all day - the BEST location. nicest host! great value for money. we stayed for extra few nights. good bed. nice restaurant in hostel, not cheap. the bathroom was dripping:( also, 4th floor without elevator is quite hard with a big suitcase. room is very dark.

The owner Dang was very friendly and welcoming. I’d also definitely recommend trying the smoothie bowls downstairs if you’re here, they’re absolutely delicious!
