- Aidan (10/5): Incredible value, responsive hosts, highly recommend - Incredibly spacious, great location with all the amenities you’d need for a great stay. Couldn’t rate this property highly enough! Very minor, but the doors could use a little oil (very squeaky)
- Eva (10/5): -
- Sebastian (10/5): - Sehr schöne, helle und vor allem großzügige Wohnung mit sehr nettem kleinen Innenhof und toller Nähe zur Akropolis sowie allen Geschäften und Restaurants.
- Kristina (9/5): -
- Maya (9/5): - A very spacious and well maintained apartment at a good location in Athens. Very ggod support from the caretaker/onwer
- Jeannine (10/5): Nice find, would rent again - The location was great, walking distance to restaurants, cafes and sightseeing spots. Cute little courtyard. Walls are thin so you can hear outside and neighbors but it wasn’t too bad (pack earplugs if you are sensitive to noise)
- Catherine (10/5): Amazing, would book again! - We loved the Athenian House — it truly felt like a home away from home. We’re a family of five and it was perfect for us, with plenty of space for everyone. The washing machine was a total game changer! The location in the amazing Koukaki area was ideal, surrounded by cool local bars and restaurants, and just a short walk from the buzz of Plaka and the Acropolis and all the other places amazing Athens has to offer. Highly recommended. The kitchen could use a bit of refreshing.

- Kellie (9/5): Wonderful location for staying in a local area but close to the acropolis. - Such a fantastic location, can walk to the Acropolis within 15 minutes. So many good restaurants and cafes just around the corner. Supermarket, pharmacy etc all nearby. So much space - 2 bedrooms plus a large living room for relaxing and outdoor patio: the space was perfect for our family with everything we needed. Wifi was a little hit or miss.
- Charlotte (8/5): Lovely apartment, anonymous and unresponsive administrators - Lovely, well equipped apartment. Very easy to access and as I arrived late at night due to delays, this was very helpful. The property is lovely. The team behind the property are not the most responsive. Had there been an issue with accessing the property arriving so late, I think I’d have been left unanswered. I thought I’d left my iPhone chargers there and emailed…tumbleweed but they were very quick to try and flog me services I didn’t request…
- Gudrun (8/5): Absolut empfehlenswert!
- Antony (9/5): A proximity to the Acropolis - Very clean and well equipped apartment. The beds and furniture were comfortable, and everything worked. Noise... the noise from outside was audible, the weekdays were noisier than the weekends. Closing the doors in the hallway helped.
- Jose (9/5): Elegante & simple - La localización y la sensación de local.
- Michael (10/5): -
- Evangelia (5/5): Passable -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Excellent - Lovely Greek house plenty of room all amenities were available close to transport links and cafes bars acropolis Nothing
- Imogen (2/5): Don't stay Thursday night if you want to sleep beyond 6am - Don't stay Thursday night you will be woken by fruit market at 6am! Noise from food market being set up at 6am outside the window, woke us up after very late arrival so only 4 hours sleep.
- Elene (10/5): Exceptional - I had the most incredible stay with my family! The location was perfect: peaceful, safe, and close to main attractions of the city also. It truly felt like a home away from home. I can't recommend this place highly enough and would love to stay here again on my next visit! Nothing
- Zachi (3/5): Not recommended at all! - Nice furnished The marker did not work when we arrived so we couldn't take a shower, it's only a fixed day after at noon. The toilet was broken. There were construction works in the next building which was very noisy. Also a dance club just in front of the house until late at night, And on Friday a vegetable market opened just in front the door. The apartment on the street therefore is unpleasant to open windows. The owner of the apartment does not respond.
- Claudia (9/5): Very good. Loved the neighbourhood. - Excellent place an. 15/ 20 min walk to acropolis. Excellent neighbourhood
- Robin (10/5): Exceptional - It was a nice size apartment close to the center at an excellent value! There was a washer, but no dryer. Its too humid to air dry.
- Susan (10/5): Excellent location for sights, restaurants etc. - The location was excellent for all the sights. Nothing
- Dhananjai (9/5): Great location and very comfortable stay. Highly recommended -
- Fiona (8/5): Lovely apartment, almost exceptional except for a few little things. 10 mins walk to metro station (bought 5 day ticket - Air conditioning great as very hot in August. Lovely lounge area with sofa bed & two other rooms, not massive but enough space. Well equipped and great pickup / drop off from airport in new spacious Mercedes and helpful driver who contacted us via WhatsApp when we landed. It was late so he waited until we had opened the key box and entered the property. Shower head needs attention, elastic band didn’t work so had to hold shower head. Toilet seat wobbly. Would like to have had a warning of sprinkler in garden area - we got wet & table too wet to use after.
- Laetitia (9/5): Superb - Charming and very comfortable ground floor flat with a lovely patio, perfect for our family of 5 visiting Athens as
- Alan (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (8/5): Perfect for a short break in Athens - Ground floor apartment in the Koukaki area just a short walk from shops and restaurants and quite close to the metro and Acropolis museum.
The house was traditional in style but with a big modern bathroom and 2 good size bedrooms. There was also a little inner courtyard. It was well equipped.
Communication was good and the staff were helpful in sending details about our stay and organising a transfer to the port. The front door felt a bit flimsy, not like a regular external door, but in general it felt safe and was in a quiet residential area.
- Teodora (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (9/5): A great place to stay in Athens. Short stroll to everything and a great neighbourhood with bars and cafes. - Great location, lovely older building, comfortable and charming.
- Shauna (7/5): Good - The kitchen and bathroom were nice as well as the little patio. Was easy to get two points of interest. The beds
- Barbara (8/5): Very good - Great location, helpful people, spacious
- Jane (9/5): Cool comfort in hot Athens - It is very comfortable and spacious, in a great location
- Elaine (7/5): Lovely time in a beautiful friendly city. - The apartment was within walking distance of the acropolis. It was nicely furnished comfortable and clean. The hosts were responsive to issues. It is opposite a dance studio- so noisy. It was next to a building site so very noisy early morning and thoughout the day. One morning we were woken up very early by a market being set up in the street in front of the bedroom window. There was no local information or general information about the apartment. Having said that we really enjoyed our holiday despite these issues.
- Shira (9/5): Great apartment and good value for money! - Very nice and spacious apartment. Clean, comfortable and good location. Walking distance to main attractions and some good restaurants/bars in the area. It’s on the ground floor so you can hear everything from the street in some of the rooms.
- Katherine (9/5): lovely flat in a great location - great location- easy to walk to Acropolis, local restaurants and supermarket, close to bus routes too there were no instructions in the flat itself on what to do with bins, had to message for the wifi code instead of there being a welcome pack but the hosts responded quickly to queries
- Filip (10/5): Exceptional - Great apartment in city center.
- Leda (9/5): Lovely, tasteful, spacious and well located. - Location was a short walk from restaurants, Acropolis Museum and sites, but quiet and pleasant to stroll around. Could do with a bit more crockery (family of 5)
- Einav (9/5): Superb - Loved the patio, spacious living room and a nice dining table. Loved the bedrooms and the decor.
Great location, amazing neighborhood. It was a bit noisy in the evenings, but not until very late
- Zeynep (7/5): Old and timey apartment with renewed amenities and great location - The location of the house is great. The outside appearance with a back garden was the catch. It was clean and this was the first rental with a washing machine. The bathroom was renewed and modern. The hosts were helpful, they arranged transportation and were responsive. It was on ground level, and due to the humidity and construction nearby, the bedrooms were stuffy. Opening the windows created more low quality air and the A/C at night caused runny noses the next day. The bathroom has windows but they open directly to the fans of the A/Cs so they are not usable. The back garden was also stuffy and smelled of sewage; again this might be due to the construction. The kitchen was placed in the middle of the apartment so it barely got enough sunlight. We did not stay in the apartment too long except for the nights. However, if we had it would not have been as comfortable as I had hoped ,
for the price especially, as we had stayed at a more modern and comfortable airbnb couple of days ago for lower price.
- Steve (8/5): Great holiday apartment. - The apartment was lovely and cosy, with or the amenities you'd expect in a house. The TV even had Netflix and YouTube.
The area has loads of cafes and coffee bars and a supermarket that is 5 minutes walk away.
The apartment is only about 20 minutes walk from Plaka. The area was a little noisy in the late evening, but this is in central Athens so not much of a surprise really. The windows are all shuttered and the windows themselves keep a lot of the noise out. Make use of the internal doors to reduce it even more.
- Leopold (9/5): Superb -
- Neela (10/5): Would stay there again in a heartbeat. It doesn’t get better for an authentic Athens experience. - This was the perfect stay in Athens for a group of friends or family. The area of Koukaki let’s you experience the authenticity of a local neighborhood, while still being a short walk away from all the action.
The house itself is very clean and comfortable and close to all amenities that you may need.
- Anna (3/5): Poor -
- Mohammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (10/5): Perfect apartment in Athens - Gorgeous and comfortable apartment in Koukaki area. Lots of amazing restaurants and cafes near by. Apartment had private courtyard to enjoy your morning coffee. Walkable to most areas and attractions in Athens. We were very comfortable and felt right at home in the apartment. We will be back!
- Fabien (9/5): Superb - Cleanliness, location and facilities. Noise on higher floor with drilling and hammering @8am..
- Ivan (8/5): A spacious, comfortable, relatively quiet apartment - Comfortable and spacious. Quiet at night (for Athens), so no problem sleeping, and mostly during the day (excepting for the typical motorbike street noise). Very close to decent non-touristy restaurants. Air conditioning was a godsend after walking the city. We had a backed-up toilet (the only one) one night, and had to wait for the morning to have someone take a look (a plunger in the apartment would have been good). Other things mostly minor: As we were were in the downstairs apartment, the windows shades needed to be closed for privacy, so not as much natural light as some other options in the same price range. A bit of a walk from the tourist attractions (though worth the slight detour and hike to the top of Philopappos Hill or a great view on the way there or back). There was construction going on during the day on the next building over that was pretty loud, starting at 7 AM. Could also hear the kids running around in the upstairs rental on one or two mornings.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephanie (10/5): Lovely cozy welll equipped flat for family, no stress and cool vibes. - Proximity to Acropolis and cool neighborhoods. Easy access, easy late check in. Flexible hosts All good.
- Karina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hiu (8/5): Comfy place , save area , very convenient to museums but heater, shower and electricity r so so - Like the decorations, very comfy The heater was not working first 2 days we stayed , we messaged owner and finally fixed it the last day of stay
Shower head is broken and there’s a short circuit at night , all electricity stopped for around 10 mins
- Jg100 (8/5): Quite good but could be better for the price. - Spacious apartment, relatively close to center. Wifi didn't work and the host did not respond to my questions. There were some automated messages and one short unhelpful response.
- Jenny (9/5): Superb -
- Pietro (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice lite mix of modern and classic decoration. Very clean and tidy.
- Onur (7/5): suggested location - Location + self-checkin heating/air conditioning + wi/fi + lack of GSM reception
- Helen (9/5): Extremely comfortable, clean and beautifully presented. Lovely hosts that have provided all that is needed for a wonder - A beautiful property in a great location.
- Gertruda (10/5): Beautiful and central stay - Spacious and beautiful flat, very close to Acropolis and other points of interest in Athens. The communication with the hosts was superb - they were really helpful and always available. The flat was clean and we loved the patio where we had our breakfast
- Tanya (10/5): Beautiful apartment and super helpful hosts! - Lorena was so helpful and communicative from the very start. She responded to our questions quickly and was fantastic at helping to organise transport and had loads of suggestions about things to do in Athens. The location is great, a lovely neighborhood close to the Acropolis museum and with a great breakfast cafe round the corner.
- Allison (9/5): Superb -
- Granger (9/5): great property, really well located, the 1930s Athenian House team were fantastic -

- Gerard (10/5): Exceptional - Two sets of keys should .be a must.
Better chairs in the dining room.A bit dangerous.
Check for bad bugs in thé back room.
