• Imre (1/5): Flea bitten shithole - breakfast was an excuse of one I had booked for a week. After four days I had to escape. The dorm was infested with fleas. I got severely bitten all over my body. Super itchy like my skin was on fire. They refunded the remaining 3 days. The building from the outside delapidated, a pack of mangy feral dogs on the ground level. The hostel is on the second floor via stairs. Inside really run down. the walls are filthy, as in I figure they have never been cleaned. the foam matresses look way past there use by date

• lauren (4/5): - we’re fully aware that this is a budget place so was not expecting anything fancy, but there was 5 men in our women only room, one of them had a literal CPAP machine breathing all night, the room was so unbelievably hot as the air con was only on at a specific temperature for not very long, if it wasn’t 1am we would had most certainly booked somewhere else nearby as it’s not worth the money you may save, we also didn’t read reviews saying how unsafe females feel and can completely back it up and do not recommend if you’re arriving at night especially as solo girls !

• LEE (9/5): - the location is close to colombo fort train station. just go out from the back of train station. there is a small train station next to it. It's easier to take train along the beach. The lady is so nice. She will give answer for what travelers might have. The breakfast is delicious. It's rare to have such a full breakfast. I can feel how much they keep cleanness for the hostel. You can take bus to airport in front of colombo fort train station. in female dorm, there is an individual shower and toilet. the entrance sign is not obvious. There are three accommodations in this building. Just follow the sign to upstairs.

Die beiden Damen Neela und Indra(zuständig für das ausgezeichnete Frühstück) sind immer da und äußerst hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sauber, Handtuch vorhanden, AC in der Nacht. Ich werde nächstes Jahr wieder kommen.

• Nadezdaaris (3/5): - Especially unfortunate because the stay could have been good: the breakfast was decent, the staff were kind and friendly, and the location is quite convenient. However, the bed bug issue completely ruined the experience. Serious bed bug problem. I have not experienced anything like this in a long time – many bites and days of discomfort after the stay. This needs urgent attention.
• Khizer (1/5): Pathetic - The kind old lady at the reception is very helpful but that’s about it. Bedbugs infestation all over the dorm rooms. Many travelers cancelled and relocated elsewhere during my stay. I couldnt sleep the whole night and went to another hostel at galle face beach. The lady at the reception is very helpful though, needless to say, but the owner of the place must reinvest in pest control services and an overhaul of the dorm rooms.

• Fernando (7/5): Great location and guests. Get what you pay :) - Fantastic location on a walk distance to Central bus station and Fort train station, breakfast was simple but nice. Atmosphere was great, with great staff and great guests. stayed for 2 days. ;) The way to the hostel is a bit weird, but ok if you only need a place to stay for a couple of days. Just outside the train station which could be a bit noisy if you are not prepared with a ear plugs like I was.

• Sandhya (10/5): - The hostel is centrally located. The breakfast was nice. It is clean and the staff is really nice. I had train ticket via Fort to down south. The staff suggested to take train or tuk-tuk to previous station to board, as the train gets crowded & chances of getting seats lower. I did this & was helpful else I would had to stand. But there is no lift so if you have trolley bags it's difficult to drag to 2nd Floor. Overall good value for money
• Suzanne (10/5): Great value, great location, outstanding breakfast. - I always appreciate it when a hostel is exactly how it's described, and this place definitely is. I knew exactly what I was getting - a simple, clean hostel bed in a great location very close to the train station - and as a result this place really exceeded my expectations because as well as those things I was also met by kind staff who ler me have my bed as soon as I arrived even though it was several hours before official check-in, there's drinking water, tea & coffee available.. and the included breakfast was really, really good. Everything was fine and exactly as described.

• Ilia (10/5): - Нужно понимать, что это один из дешёвых хостелов, где двухъярусные кровати, без штор, работает вместе и вентилятор и кондиционер, рядом со станцией поезда, местами ночью бывает из-за него шумно, ванна и туалет в комнате, не в отдельном месте. Завтрак довольно плотный и вкусный. Это не релакс, а обычный хостел на минималках, поэтому если готовы к такому, то заселяйтесь.

The hosts messages you to set expectations after you make the booking. The property entrance is a bit shady and the whole space is a bit cramped up. The host messages you to convey these details but only after you make the booking and if you don’t have free cancellation, it’s too late.

Tuve que pasar horas después revisando mis mochilas y matando las que quedaban en ella! Deberían hacer algo al respecto. Por el precio he estado en sitios mucho mejores y más limpios.

• Darius (5/5): The owners/managers need to hire more staff! - Great location, good price and the friendliest and most supportive staff you've ever met at a hostel! Very easy check in, with all needs sorted out by the wonderful receptionist lady who was beyond lovely. The lady who cooked and prepared breakfast was also so so nice, although she didn't speak much English she was always friendly with me and the other guests. I very much enjoyed my time here, it was easy to stay and a good location to go out and see the town. It's a hostel so you have to contend with sharing space but that was standard. Overall a good booking and I'd rate it more highly if it wasn't for the unethical/poor staffing issue which I outline in the next section. The owners/managers need to hire more staff! This is the only reason I gave this booking an unfavorable review score. It seems unethical to me borderline illegal the amount of hours that the management seems to make the receptionist and cook lady work at this hostel, it seems like they work here 24/7 without breaks. The ownership here should be more kind and compassionate to their workers by hiring more people so that the staff can at least have shift breaks or more days off. The current setup seems to me as bring unethical and wrong. Please hire more staff to ensure that your workers have a better quality of life.
• Raj (1/5): - Nothing They denied my stay even after booking.com confirmed it. This was at 1 in the night. They apparently gave my accommodation to someone else even after informing and getting a confirmation about my flight landing safe. They left me with no accommodation at midnight.
• Xiaoyu (3/5): - The location is about a 10-minute walk from the railway station but there are many mosquitoes in the room that bite me five or six lumps. In addition, if you pay in cash, you'd better prepare change. The boss won't ask you for change.

Super nice and helpful staffs, breakfast included. Female dorm has strong AC and attached shower room&toilet room. Would be better if the room has more hanging hooks on the wall for hanging towel
• Dayne (1/5): Money missing from wallet, blood/ boogers on the wall next to my bed 🤮 - Location To preface, I don’t know when my money was stolen out of my wallet, but from the ATM to realizing I was missing 40,000-45,000 rupees 12 hours later, the only time my wallet was not in my front pocket was when I took a shower at the hostel… I had placed my bags in the front where they were in view of the camera, however, the staff told me not to put my bags there and to instead put them on a separate shelf which was not in view of the camera. I was reluctant but obliged. A few hours later as I was on the bus to Ella I noticed my wallet was light… I asked the staff to simply review the footage to see if anyone walked down the corridor where my bag was and they were extremely unhelpful… They took almost 1 week to get the manager to review the footage, and then he simply sent a screen shot of me in the lobby. He told me he would send additional footage of the corridor to where my bag was left, but never did (despite reminding him several times)… Again, I am unsure if the money was stolen here, but it is suspicious they made me move my bag to an area which did not have the camera, and then have been very difficult to work with to review the footage… Additionally, when I got in my bed to go to sleep I looked to my left and the wall had a bunch of markings on it. Upon closer inspection it looked like someone had wiped bloody boogers on the wall… Absolutely disgusting… Do not recommend staying here based on my experience.

• teodoro (10/5): - Hostel in a great location. Close to the train and bus stations. The hostel is run by two women, Indra and Neela, who are like a grandmother and a mother. Warm, kind, and helpful, they will make you feel at home, along with all the other guests, mostly backpackers. I spent four wonderful nights at this hostel. I will definitely return at the end of my trip to Sri Lanka.
