• Sarah (10/5): - I really liked the vibe. Super friendly stuff. Extremely helpful. Good value for the price. We came in group of three. Gave us extra room for free, which made our stay extra comfortable. Breakfast was big and super tasty. They also pack us breakfast in packages for our sunrise hike 💞 Hope to come back. One of my friend was little warm during the night, electric fan helped him, but it might not me enough for someone.

• Petr (3/5): - Price was ok, but if I had knew about the conditions of the room, I would have paid more for being somewhere else. There was mould everywhere on the walls, we could have smelled it in the air too. The furniture is very old, need to be replaced. The breakfast is the same everyday, just basic choices (a few slices of cheese, salami, ham, one juice, one coffee, pastries, fruits). This was the the only accommodation in my life which made me think about leaving it immediately. I travelled a lot, but this is the first time being fooled by reviews which I had read before our travel. This is not 9 out 10 stars accommodation.

Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo, la colazione sempre ottima e molto abbondante, e in caso avessi la sveglia presto, avvisandolo la sera prima, preparava la colazione da asporto.

Ya habíamos leído comentarios, pero hasta que no vienes y lo vives, no puedes experimentar la amabilidad y la atención de Paulo. No habíamos llegado aún, y ya estaba ayudándonos a buscar un sitio para cenar porque llegamos más tarde de lo esperado. Nos esperó hasta que llegamos. Los desayunos, un espectáculo, un café super rico, huevos, embutido, mermeladas, panes variados,yogur, fruta, zumo… y todo hecho con una hospitalidad y un cariño, que te hacen sentir como en casa. Si necesitas el desayuno para llevar, Paulo te lo prepara por la noche y te lo deja en recepción para que lo tengas listo a la hora que decidas salir… Las vistas y la ubicación, inmejorables. Muy céntrico para moverte de un lado a otro de la isla. Y tiene al lado un súper que tiene de todo, una gasolinera, una farmacia y un barecito. Gracias de corazón!! Nada negativo

The host Paulo was absolutely fantastic - he gave helpful advice regarding the tracks/walks and local recommendations. He was friendly and warm and immediately made us feel welcome. The breakfasts were the best included breakfasts that we’ve had anywhere (and we’ve travelled a lotttt). We we given a room with a balcony which was perfect for a casual snack/drink in the afternoon. I think this place is the best value for money we’ve found :) Facilities are a little dated and could do with upgrading but we’re not fussy. Depending on what you want to do (walks, sightseeing, beaches, etc) it can be a bit out of the way - definitely recommend hiring a car which there is plenty of street parking for.

Apartmán byl vždy čistý a uklizený, denně vynesen koš, vše perfektně udržované. Možnost parkování přímo u apartmánu byla velmi pohodlná. Krásné prostředí, ve kterém se člověk cítil příjemně a odpočatě. Vybavení apartmánu bylo trochu starší, ale jinak vše čisté a funkční.

La terraza de nuestras habitación tenía muy buenas vistas y por la noche se estaba fresquito. Las instalaciones son viejas y poco cuidadas, y la habitación tenía polvo y algunos desperfectos (no cerraba la terraza, la bañera tenía trocitos oxidados....). Lo peor para mí sin duda es que en 5 noches nos hemos encontrado 4 cucarachas (3 en la terraza y una en el baño). El desayuno nl se corresponde con las fotos de booking.

Every day je gave us tips on where to go, which was really nice because its easy to get overwhelmed. There is just so much to see on the island of Madeira. The cute cats and dogs around the house are very friendly and well taken care of. The breakfast is great. We liked the whole atmosphere of the place.

Dès notre arrivée, Paulo s’est montré plus qu’accueillant. Il nous a aidé à trouver des solutions à plusieurs de nos questions. Il est toujours souriant et avenant. Nous avons adoré nos discussions avec lui. L’ambiance est chaleureuse et très positive. Paulo parle plusieurs langues ce qui facilite les échanges. Profitez-en pour souper là un soir. Il cuisine merveilleusement bien.

Also, there are really good restaurants just a few minutes drive from there. Paulo brings value to staying, he is very friendly, gave us good trips about what to explore around the hotel, and this day was unforgettable. We also prepared a perfect breakfast (sandwiches and fruits) for us to take in the sunrise hiking, which made this experience even better as we had a lovely picnic above the clouds. Another plus in the stay is Carolina and Bento, his two lovely dogs that we will miss a lot. We appreciate everything and definitely will come back.

Although it doesn't say it on booking.com, they do have a dedicated parking area. The owner is friendly and helpful. Elements of the room are a bit dated, but it has everything you need for a few days on the north coast.

• ERO (9/5): - Lo espectacular es el recibimiento de toda la gente del hotel son un encanto super atentos y demas, nos gusto mucho que nos dejaran el desayuno incluso pidiendolo el dia que nos fuimos al aeropuerto temprano. El desayuno era espectacular y las habitaciones decentes y bien equipadas. Lo que no me gusto que faltaba un pelin de limpieza sobre todo en sabanas y toallas que venian con manchas amarillas de limpiar con lejia me imagino, que no tenia un buen wifi, una ventana no abria y las almohadas un poco incomodas.

L’établissement est simple et suffisant, très bien situé, dans un petit village charmant et calme, mais ce qui a fait toute la différence, c’est l’accueil exceptionnel. Un immense merci à Paulo, d’une gentillesse rare, toujours souriant, attentionné et prêt à rendre service. Il incarne parfaitement l’hospitalité madeirienne. Le petit déjeuner est très généreux : copieux, avec des fruits frais, le tout servi dans une ambiance paisible et chaleureuse. Nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous dès le premier jour. Un véritable coup de cœur que nous recommandons les yeux fermés. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Baza wypadowa idealna, spokój, cisza, piękne widoki z okna, ale przede wszystkim przesympatyczny właściciel Paulo, który nie dość, że zawsze uśmiechnięty to jeszcze na życzenie zrobił nam kolację, która bez wątpienia była naszą najlepszą podczas całego pobytu i to w naprawdę w dobrej cenie! Jeśli wrócimy na Madere to z pewnością w to miejsce!

• Fabio Cannarile (10/5): Ottima accoglienza e gentilezza - Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo. A causa di Ryanair siamo arrivati due giorni in ritardo per dirottamento e cancellazione volo. Siamo arrivati il terzo e ultimo giorno di pernottamento nella struttura alle ore 3 della notte e il proprietario era ad aspettarci per accoglierci. È stato anche molto gentile nel darci alcune informazioni e consigli per visitare Madeira e fare degli specifici trekking. La colazione è abbondante e variegata (salumi, marmellata, yogurt, tanto pane e frutta). In generale l'esperienza è stata molto positiva.

• ELSA MOREIRA (9/5): Soberbo, recomendo. - A minha estadia correu super bem. O Sr. Paulo foi excelente, é um ser humano incrível e um Anfitrião ainda mais incrível. Muito atencioso com o nosso bem estar, mesmo antes de eu fazer o check-in. E ao fim de um dia a explorar a Ilha tínhamos sempre o Sr. Paulo para nos receber e perguntar como correu o dia. Recomendo. O que mais nos deixou saudades foram aqueles bocadinhos de conversa e troca de vivências com o Sr.Paulo. Não tenho nada negativo a dizer. O Staff foi sempre muito atencioso, o pequeno almoço muito bem servido e tudo fresquinho. Quarto sempre limpo, nunca faltando nada.

The host was outstandingly nice, better than anyone I have met before. The breakfast was good. The beds were ok and the bathroom was too. They had good pressure and good temperature.

Struttura un po’ datata ma ben tenuta, pulita e curata! Posizione comoda per raggiungere in massimo un’oretta di auto tutti i punti dell’isola! Menzione speciale per Paulo, sempre pronto a consigliare attività e luoghi da visitare oltre che a soddisfare le nostre richieste!

• Igor (10/5): Right location to feel Madeira at its best - This is the first accommodation we wished to extend the time being in! Kindness and hospitality are on the highest level. Rooms and the service are better than we expected. The location is quiet and perfect for exploring the whole island having this place as a base. The food is also awesome. Hosts are very servile and have met all our needs. Prices-quality balance are the best on the island. Ideal both for couples and families, this accommodation gives feeling of home. ❤️

• Jennifer (10/5): Amazing stay and even more amazing host! - Everything about our stay was excellent, but most of all, the host Paulo! Paolo gave us amazing tips of what to see each day, tailored to our areas of interest. He even provided us with a delicious and plentiful bagged breakfast to go (abundant sandwiches, fruit and water) on the day we left for our sunrise hike at 5am. He was always helpful, pleasant, authentic, honest and warm. The facilities were great - clean, conveniently located for many hikes, and we enjoyed our outdoor balcony each evening to relax on. Breakfast was delicious, fresh and plentiful! Wonderful hot coffee to order (we only needed to order the first day and after that he remembered how we each like it), fresh bread and variety of buns with cold cut meats and cheeses, yogurt and jams. Also fresh juice. Nicely presented - we always felt very welcome ! Paulo is a lovely, warm and caring person who went out of his way to make sure our holiday on Madeira was everything we had hoped for and more! Cannot say enough about the wonderful accommodation, and the amazing warmth and helpfulness of Paulo. We would definitely come back here! There is absolutely nothing I would change! Everything was excellent!

• Mckirdy (9/5): - Paulo was a very good host! We had a nice room with a balcony overlooking the sea. Breakfast was good with a selection of bread, spreads fillings and some fruit. We left early on the last day and Paulo packed us a lovely lunch and made coffee before our journey. We also loved Bento and Carolina (the dogs)!!

Wanderziele waren gut erreichbar, das Meer in sichtbarer Entfernung .Als Wanderhotel ( tagsüber unterwegs) mit gutem Preis-Leistungs- Verhältnis gut geeignet Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, die Straße war doch nicht ganz so ruhig

• Philip (10/5): An excellent short stay on Madeira's beautiful north coast. - Really excellent continental breakfast with ample food. it really set me up for the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is extremely beautiful. I really enjoyed my short stay. There was no parking, but that really was no problem as there as plenty available on the street and the location is exceptionally safe.

Fresh towels changed daily, parking free of charge. The bread for breakfast is always fresh. Every breakfast is the same. It’s good but also monotonous at times, especially on a longer stay.
• Fábio (10/5): Estadia em ponta delgada - Do melhor atendimento que já tivemos, cama super confortável, o sr Paulo foi sempre super prestável, vista espetacular logo ao pequeno almoço e na varanda do quarto! Edifício um bocado antigo e com algumas marcas de humidade, mas tendo em conta o preço não se pode exigir melhor!
• Maria (10/5): Best Host on Madeira - Corte do Norte is an amazing experience. Paulo, the owner and his stuff are the most lovely people, that will try to accommodate you as good as possible. All the recommendations that Paulo made where exquisite and matched perfectly our expectations. The location is great for hikes, enjoying the nature and culture of Madeira. The animals that Paulo keeps are great company for some cuddles (a lot of love to Caroline and Bento) Nothing bad to say! I liked everything, felt at home and blessed to be able to stay at this place.
