Super unique and unforgettable ❤️ We were a large group of family and friends including young children as well as grandmas and we all had lot of privacy and space to get together and socialize also. We made unforgettable memories. Each apartment is spacious, well equipped, and super comfortable. And Nadya is very attentive, always ready to assist. Fabulous!
- Ethnie (10/5): A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the Roman countryside. - The property was stunning. We went on an evening and morning walk around the grounds. The olive grove, climbing roses, citrus trees, and large, well manicured trees, wild fields, and variety of blooming flowers left us enchanted. My son also loved feeding the fish in the fountain. Inside the pillows and bed were comfortable. The apartment clean, simply and tastefully decorated, and quiet. (Essential for recovering from jet lag). Nadia was helpful and friendly. She also gave us great recommendations! Everything exceeded our expectations.

- Michael (9/5): - I liked that it was close to many locations of interest. I liked it was gated, and a quiet stay with some rich history to the place. I wish the apartment we rented had a clothes washer. They provided one for us to use but it was in another apartment so it was available to use.

- Adriana (10/5): 10/10 Stay! - My stay here was exceptional! After a week in Rome and Florence, this was the perfect way to relax. The room was wonderful- very spacious and included all the amenities we needed. We were greeted by the hotel manager who was super friendly and accommodating and went out of her way more than once to make sure we had a great experience. There is a train station a short walk away from the Castello, but we did not even end up going to the city because we wanted to enjoy the grounds/room/and charming little town during our short 2-day stay as much as possible. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, quiet (and great value!) break from the city. The restaurant/bakery/bar by the Castello was also a great part of our stay. This is a very "local" area and we felt fully immersed in Italian life!

- Rick (10/5): 2 big beds and a great view! - It was a perfect place to stay after jet lag. We walked into town and found a lovely cafe and Pharmacy in a 8 minute walk. The two beds were large and comfortable. Had to turn the water on under the kitchen sink for the washing machine to start(a great convenience as soap was provided)

- Debby (10/5): A peaceful lovely place near Rome - An accommodation with history. Nadia was our host. Her love for this beautiful place is beaming like sun rays and sparkles all around. She makes you feel like home. Just like the milk,oil, coffee, coockies etc did when we arrived. The apartment was more like a little house with two sleeping rooms with beds in which we slept really good. There was airconditioning which helped us survive the heat. A dishwasher which made our daughters extra happy and a washing machine so we went home without cubes of dirty wash. It was nice and quiet and had a big living as well. The swimming pool is big enough for 10 people and probably even more. Although all the apartments were rented, it was quiet. You are in Rome just like that by car and thanks to google you can easily find parking garages near places you want to visit. The metro didn’t go because of maintenance so be sure to check they before buying multi days tickets. In August de Pizzaria, Gelateria, trattoria near Cadtello were closed. -

- Raphael (10/5): Exceptional - We felt like royalty in a small castle – a truly beautiful estate! It had everything we needed, including a swimming pool, and the whole atmosphere was just magical. The housekeeper took wonderful care of us and even drove us to the train station – such kindness is rare. A clear YES from us – absolutely recommended!

The property was so lovely and the views were incredible, we would definitely stay again. The lady that runs the place is also very lovely and even when we had a problem with our TV, she fixed it asap which we appreciated massively. We checked in on a Sunday so the check-in process was a little bit difficult and we didn't know who to talk to, but I'm sure if we had checked in during the week then we would not have had a problem.

The property was less quiet than we anticipated from the pictures due to proximity of train and distant roads, but it did not impact our stay. We appreciated the access to the terrace.

From the beginning we were met at the security gates, given time at reception and given the oldest room in the castle which was very beautiful and spacious. The rooms was decked out with beautiful furniture and decor. The beds were so comfy and luxurious. There was a kitchen which we could cook and a supermarket close by The easy access to Rome was great with only a short work to the station. To spend a busy day in Rome and come back to our castle on the hill made us feel like kings and queens of Rome. We spent an hour wondering the grounds and the olive trees which was relaxing too. This accommodation is a MUST and we recommend this place to anyone who wants luxury and tranquility within Rome. Thanks for the stay it was wonderful Nothing

- Anna (9/5): Accidentally ended up in paradise ! - We were off to Napoli when the trainsystem shut down. So we decided to stay another night in Rome, away from the hustle and bustle, and we are so glad we did ! Stunning grounds, amazing service! Full kitchen, there’s no food on the grounds so we went to the grocery store prior. The air is so fresh, the views are stunning, the pool is very clean. Everything was beautiful, unfortunately we didn’t have very nice weather! Would’ve loved a private terrace, but there is a lot of gorgeous outdoor space to explore !

- Murat (8/5): - Wir waren 3 Nächte dort, es war sehr ruhig und abgelegen. Man kann mit dem Auto ca.20 min oder aber auch mit dem Zug direkt ins Zentrum von Rom. Unser Appartement war leider etwas zu sehr abseits vom Pool. Selbstversorgung ist angesagt. Es gibt aber ein Lebensmittel Geschäft ca. 5 Autominuten entfernt.

- Sean (10/5): Great family holiday - A brilliant stay here. Beautiful 11th century accommodation with a pool. We were very well looked after by Nadia, everything went to plan. The apartments were very spacious and the bed’s very comfortable. We had two apartments for our family of seven and enjoyed a few home cooked meals together in the cool AC. We arrived by taxi but did use the train and metro system travelling into Rome. An easy commute for about €4 per person. We would get a taxi back in the evening, a 25 minute drive costing €30/35 for 4 people. A handy supermarket 650m away had all our requirements. I would recommend Castello del Duca as a great holiday spot when visiting Rome.

It was spacious and charming with wonderful air conditioning. Like many other reviews, we would have appreciated a dish towel for the kitchen, as it has no dishwasher. This apartment’s entrance is also next to, I assume, the property owner’s driveway, so privacy would likely be better in the other units.

- Helen (9/5): Beautiful property, beautiful location, beautiful people! - We flew into Rome Fiumicino airport and caught a train to Settebagni the Castello del Duce is 500m from the station but they came to collect us. We had access to our room earlier than expected. Everything was done to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. The property is surrounded by fabulous countryside and is 15-20 mins outside Rome. We will return. No tea towel to dry dishes/glasses - our fault as we never asked for them either as we only needed it late in the evening.

- Michelle (10/5): Beautiful and unique experience - Beautiful setting close to Rome. A real unique experience that we wished we could stayed longer. We would have liked bar soap for the shower.
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - This pretty property is so close to everything, but it feels like you are in the countryside. The location is only a 5-10 minute walk to the local train station, where it is easy to catch the train directly into Termini, then jump on the Metro into The Coloseum, etc. The host was super helpful & very accommodating.
- Saundra (10/5): Our favorite part of Roma - We love how close it is to the train station. It’s a great place for kids to run around and explore. We’ve stayed 3 times and have had a great experience each time.

- Kerry (10/5): A peaceful haven close to Rome - This is such a beautiful place to stay. We loved our apartment and the location. Rome was 20 mins away by car so we saw all the sites and then came back to peace, quiet, beautiful views and a gorgeous pool. A real haven. The host is very kind and friendly too. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Thank you.

- Tessel (9/5): Lovely place to stay for a few nights if you want to visit Rome and spend your nights in a quiet environment - Beautiful historical building, very spacious apartment, good facilities and a large pool The bathroom downstairs is a little small and has no place to hang your wet towels - easy improvement to make
- Daiana (9/5): Great stop with kids - Great to have space for the family to settle after long travel. Nice easy stroll to the village and train into Rome. The property is also beautiful with a great pool that the kids enjoyed. The staff were great and helped us out a lot.

- Tomasz (10/5): Tranquil (real!) castle with breathtaking views - The location is absolutely breathtaking. The view from the hill is second to none. The rooms are sizeable and comfy. And Joseph is simply brilliant - quick to respond to emails / WhatsApp, he arranged some shopping ahead of our arrival and he did everything he could to help us after the check-out.

The location, the view and specialy the service of Joseph was amazing, the place is incredible if you want to be relax, the station is 15 min walk, so good conection with public transport only is quite far from rome (we did almos 2 hrs by bus maybe because was sunday) super market, restaurantes are close by. It is difficult to say, maybe some toilets next to the swimming pool, because the room was quite far away
