Sue (10/5): A very comfortable overnight stay! - A comfortable room for an overnight stay with a tasty breakfast. Stayed here as close to Exeter airport and were able, at an extra reasonable cost, to leave car at hotel with a lift to and pick up from the airport which worked really well.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities offering superb value for money . The aspect of the property was delightful - gorgeous views all round. Highlight was breakfast - delicious and cooked to order supplemented with wide range of cereal and fresh fruit.

Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff were very friendly and helpful. The area around the grounds was littered with old machinery and scrap materials which made it a bit unsightly. The room was quite dusty with a few spiderwebs etc. The bed and bathroom were clean and stocked well.

Riad (4/5): - This is a very old type of hotel. it is family run and reminds me of faulty towers, when coming to service. There are no delivery companys for food and the hotel has no restaurant, so if you are hungry bring food or drive 10 minutes to a restaurant.

The surroundings and look of the building was very well kept. The only issue i have is i forgot to ask for the bottle of wine advertised with my room. But just means i will have to book again.

Nice garden with good views. Although we didnt have one, a very quick overnight stay, they can also provide afternoon teas and packed lunches.

Verified traveler (6/5): Convenient and friendly but a bit dated - Friendly staff but the booking hadn’t come through when I arrived so there was some confusion. It was quite dated, with a tired interior decor. It has potential to be great but just needs some TLC. The continental breakfast food and room could be improved with some fresh food, better coffee and maybe some music in the background as was so quiet. But on the whole ok value for money.

Philip (10/5): Very good - Very friendly hosts, great breakfast, the room was clean and well decorated with complementary water, biscuits, tea coffee etc. The bathroom was well appointed, with complimentary toiletries and big fluffy towels.The double room 11 was a little snug for two people, no chair. We had a look at one of the bigger rooms and it would be well worth paying the extra, as these rooms are much more spacious. The hotel is well located for Exeter, the airport and National Trust properties.Overall very satisfied.

Steve (8/5): Good Hotel, Friendly Staff and Quite Comfortable - Room was very clean and shower-room was very well appointed. Overall a little small but fine for me on my own. View was fabulous and not overlooked at all. Breakfast was OK but not cooked fresh so a little dry. This would be a great hotel if you were flying from Exeter Airport.... you can see the runway in the distance from the room, but it's not noisy.
Mike (10/5): Relaxed and helpful approach from the staff - When we checked in, Steve was incredibly helpful and gave us some suggestions as to where we could eat locally that evening. As it turned out, we were the only guests staying and he invited us to take what we wanted from the bar later that evening and just write it down - a really lovely trusting approach! The hotel is a large attractive building with a spacious lounge and a nice garden. The only slight downside was that the bed was just a standard double (a kingsize wouldn't have fitted in the room) and the pillows squashed down quite a bit. The breakfast was really good - even though we were the only people there, the standards were kept up and there was plenty of choice (and plenty of food). It was all very clean, with high standards!

The owners have not had it long and it is desperately in need of some TLC and updating. Very 70s/80s pine furniture in bedroom! It could be a beautiful country house hotel!!
