• Romeo (9/5): Top Hotel mit nettem Personal und gemütlichem Restaurant. - Tolles Hotel, sehr nettes Personal. Die Zimmer waren sauber, die Betten ok. Schreibtisch vorhanden, falls man beruflich unterwegs ist. Mein Zimmer hatte eine Dusche und einen Handtuchwärmer. Das Restaurant war gut besucht und das Essen dort sehr lecker und in großen Portionen serviert. Preislich war es ok, jedenfalls nicht teuer. Das Restaurant wird auch als Event-Location gebucht und es sind nicht nur Hotelgäste anwesend. Reservierungen sind daher wohl empfohlen. Das Personal war auch im Restaurant sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war lecker, man kann aus einer Karte verschiedene Varianten wählen. Wir haben das typische irische Frühstück genossen. Es gibt dann noch ein kleines Mini-Buffet, aber eher für die Müsli-Fraktion. Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln, ausser vielleicht den Ausblick aus unseren Zimmern - wir hatten da nur eine graue Wand vor uns, was allerdings nicht wirklich störte. Wir waren eigentlich nur am Abend dort. Die anderen Zimmer dürften eine deutlich schöne Aussicht auf das umliegende Land haben.
• Kevin-Nicolas (10/5): A home from Home stay. - You cannot fault anything regarding our stay at Flagstaff. From the moment of arriving till departing. Both my kids stayed here and both say the staff were exceptional. My son arrived around 01:30 am and they went to the trouble of booking him a taxi from the bus station to the hotel and on arrival offered him tea or coffee, I have never had this happen to me, nor heard of it happening, so hats off to Flagstaff Lodge Staff. I do hope the owner appreciates the people they have working for them as they represent the hotel and in what a way they do. Thank you all. Nothing they didn't like, quite the opposite, they loved everything.

Dinner was in the main bar and very nice although very nice it was a large plate full and very filling as such I had no room for a desert. Breakfast was very nice with a good choice of cooked items, staff serving were very nice and attentive. Not sure if the shower had been used recently as although very clean it took rather a long time for the hot water to come through when I first arrived, however in the morning it was much quicker.

The place itself is beautiful, comfortable, and has such a welcoming atmosphere—but what really made the experience stand out was the people and the food. The food was excellent throughout—top quality, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. It really added to the whole experience. Gary, the owner, couldn’t have been more accommodating—genuinely friendly, approachable, and clearly takes great pride in the place. Regina, the manager, was equally impressive—professional, attentive, and always on hand to make sure everything was perfect. It’s rare to find a place where you feel so well looked after, and that’s down to the standard they both set. I couldn’t recommend the Flagstaff Hotel highly enough and will definitely be returning

Couldn't fathom out the heating control ( controls hard to see), and found great difficulty in pulling on the curtains in room 3.
