Guest Reviews
- ying (10/5): - 房屋很有特色,地理位置很棒,老板服务意识也很强。
- Rachel (8/5): Nice 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment close to Fira city center - The location was really great. It was easy to walk into town. Our host arranged for pickup from the port and a transfer back to the port. He was very responsive when we had a question or needed something. Our host gave us a recommendation for a nice restaurant nearby which we enjoyed. The living space was nice and there were plenty of dishes and utensils for eating the simple meals we had in the apartment. We appreciated the bottled water which was provided. It was nice to have 2 full bedrooms and bathrooms for the 4 adults we had in the apartment. The beds were comfortable. The shower water was hot. It was confusing as to which light switches controlled which lights. The downstairs bedroom needed more lighting. The downstairs felt very humid, especially after a shower since the bathroom fan did not seem powerful enough to vent properly. The second bedroom and bath were upstairs via a narrow, uneven stairway. It was difficult to carry suitcases up these stairs. The upstairs bathroom needed better lighting and would have benefited from a shelf or other place to place your shower things.
- Renata (9/5): Very veautiful typical cave house close to old town Fira - The apartment consists of 2 separate levels, one is upstairs, and one downstairs (outside staircase). It is very beautifully decorated and completely equipped, in a typical Santorini cave house. The position is good; it is in a very quiet part below the main road. There are lots of steps on one side and a very steep (partly cobblestoned) street on the other side. In a 10min walk you reach Fira old town. The host was very friendly and the comunication with him excellent! There was no possibility to darken the rooms (especially the one downstairs) and so we woke up every day at around 7 am when the sun shined brightly into the rooms.
- DAVID (10/5): - Unique Cave House experience; close to Fira downtown area. Host, Christos, is excellent to meet us to give us a house tour. We had a 6pm flight; Christos allow us to store the luggage after check out to come back for them. Much appreciated! Maybe considering to install a magnet screen on each floor entry to keep the flies out.
- Sofia (10/5): -
- Zaria (10/5): This home away from home exceeded our expectations! - We had an amazing time! This beautiful property has a spectacular view of the sunrise and is centrally located for a short walk to restaurants, convenience stores, and cross island public bus. The host was very easy to communicate with throughout our stay and arranged transportation to the airport. I highly recommend! I have no complaints.
- Chan Sorapi Melina (9/5): - Great location, comfortable stay and host was easy to communicate with! Be careful of the lightbulbs in the showers as I burnt myself and have a huge blister on my wrist.
- Hu (10/5): - Design, owner/operator, location A bit too much sun during the morning
- SEBASTIAN (10/5): -
- Brice (9/5): Hébergement charmant et idéalement situé - Petite maison charmante et très confortable, à proximité du cœur de Fira. Espace extérieur privatif agréable mais petit.
- Parikh (10/5): - Perfect place!! Amazing location!! Wish could.have stayed for longer
- tsu yu (8/5): -
- Carolyn (10/5): - Lovely property. Plenty of room for me, my sister & my neice. We loved being able to walk to shops and restaurants. Also getter to the bus stop to go to the beaches is very convenient.
- Maria Giovanna (10/5): - Casa accogliete e la proprietaria super disponibile e cortese. Ottima posizione e ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo Niente
- Domenico (10/5): -
- Samuel (8/5): Au plus près de Fira. - L'emplacement à proximité du centre. Il manque une petite piscine pour ce tarif.
- monica (10/5): - La struttura è bellissima , caratteristica e silenziosa.
- Prafulla (10/5): Excellent stay ! - The house was as described and very nice place to live. Christos was very helpful and responsive.
- Manuela (10/5): - Downtown Fira, felt like being in another world
- Viviane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Umkhalifa2001 (10/5): Exceptional - It's a beautiful apartment, clean and good location, the host is very kind and helpful , instant reply None
- Salas (9/5): Superb - I loved the decoration and style All fine
- Wanda (9/5): Would recommend if you want close to town but away enough to avoid the noise and busyness of Santorini - Excellent location, kind hosts, great communications, lovely apartment, Nothing
- Natasha (9/5): Superb -
- Hui (10/5): Wonderful stay. Thanks -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alok (10/5): Exceptional - Cleaniness, Owner is very proactive Nothing
- Nancy (8/5): Enjoyable visit - Plenty of space for 4 of us. I
watched beautiful sun rises. Quiet.. on ocean side not port side 10 minute walk to shops and restaurants
- Clare (8/5): Very good -
- Merron (9/5): Superb - Great location. Christos was so helpful. He organised transfers for us, gave us a detailed map of the island and tips on where to go and what to see. We had a friend who decided to live with us, a small grey cat with a big personality. We named her Santorini. Loves a pat but not too many. I recommend this cave house to anyone staying in Santorini.
- Shaista (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diane (9/5): Perfect - Location and host I loved it
- Mandy (10/5): Excellent hospitality & great location - Extremely patient and caring hosts. We had a car and it was a nightmare to find but they were so nice and helpful. Gorgeous house with everything you could possibly need.
- Maha (7/5): Nice simple place. Prompt host. Needs a bit of walk or climbs ro access - Cosy cycladic home. Very helpful host . Prompt in responding The home needs fair walk/ climbing of stairs to reach from fira centre. So very tough if u have bug suitcases or bad knees.
- Tuhin (9/5): The stay was fantastic. The staff looked after us well and were very friendly. The breakfast was something we looked for - Authentic cave experience. Beautiful well maintained and clean property. The neighbours were noisy in the middle of the night on most days. Everything could be heard through the wall which was strange.
The property didn’t have a microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. We were aware of the WM when we booked, had assumed the other 2 however shouldn’t have.
We got parking every day however it was super tight and had to wait for 10-15 mins on a couple of occasions. Again something to keep in mind.
- Adrienne (9/5): A great two night stay with lots of walking and the property was perfect for our needs. - We were met by the host which was essential to find the property. A lovely breakfast was delivered every morning. Our son had his own upstairs room and bathroom. Property was walking distance to shops and restaurants. Could have used a washing machine as very expensive to do one load at laundromat.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Is located within a few minutes walk from the Centre of Fira, the house is really quiet and spacious. Also the breakfast delivered at your door is an amazing touch.
- David (9/5): Loved the house and Santorini, scenery is incredible, will definitely go back. - Location was excellent, difficult to find the house in a maze of laneways so it took a while to get there but our host was excellent and met us at the door to hand over keys and give some tips for food and travel on Santorini. House was split in 2 with the upstairs section having a separate entrance. The house was great and suited us as our children were older but it would be good to know if you have small children as you would be in 2 separate living areas which is not always practical.
- Ramesh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lindy (9/5): Superb -
- Marcia (10/5): Loved our stay! - It was a beautiful cave home. It had all the amenities we needed in an excellent location. Our hostess Sotiria met us on our arrival and gave us an intro to Santorini with a lot of tips and great advice. N/A
- Tara (10/5): Gorgeous property with amazing host and perfect location! - The property was gorgeous and incredibly clean. The location was ideal as we were so closed to everything in Thira. We loved the traditional cave interior and the courtyard was perfect to sit out and enjoy the sun. Our host was amazing and was very easy to communicate with. She made our stay even more enjoyable! The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay! Would definitely recommend!
- Valerie (10/5): Exceptional - Everything, from the warm hugs from the host to the views. It was magical
- Maggie (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annabel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jay (10/5): Lovely stay - Sotiria was really very helpful who provided all the info and great breakfast. At the entrance, there is no name plate stating name of hotel or cave. Due to which we kept searching the place in hot sun
- Stuart (10/5): Sotiria, our host, was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. Transfers, dinner reservations, info all done for us - a - The house was beautiful. Extremely well appointed, stylish and comfortable with a lovely little outdoor seating area. Delicious breakfast provided with homemade jams, and lunch sandwiches as an added bonus. Nothing!
- Jenny (10/5): A very comfortable stay at this apartment, reflects the enjoyment of the trip. - The location was good , short distance walk to the centre where all the shops , restaurants etc are . Also to the bus station. Be even better if there is a washing machine .
- Elizabeth (10/5): A quiet, comfortable, spacious hotel was exactly what we needed after a day out in Santorini. - Best part of our experience was Sotoria's extremely helpful insider information on Santorini. Not only was she very efficient regarding our transfer from the port, our arrival at the hotel & organising breakfast, she also provided great suggestions for restaurants, walking routes & sunset viewing points. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Nothing. All good.
- Natalia (10/5): Lovely cave house in Fira with amazing host - Lovely cave house near center of Fira, but away from noise and crowds. Very nice views from the upper terrace to the sea. We loved the traditional feel of the house - rounded walls, stone bed and table, carved bathroom walls.
Sotiria was amazing - met us in the house, gave us tips about restaurants and trips and was so sincerely kind and caring host.
In short - perfect location to visit Santorini! nothing
- Jacqueline (7/5): lovely - great location and very kind and helpful host spacious and very clean inside. comfortable beds I really liked my stay here this was out of the property owners control but neighbours were quite loud and a lot of banging from construction no washing machine
- Nina (6/5): Pleasant -
- Susi (9/5): Superb - The layout of the house is unique
Location in centre of Fira, close to everything Nothing, we like it all
- Vasileios (9/5): Superb -
- Meghan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): This property is excellent. I would stay here again. - Christos is an excellent host. He prefers to communicate through Whats app. He organized transportation from the airport and to our ferry along with getting us a great deal on Spiridakos Catamaran Tour, which I highly recommend. The Cave House is super clean and centrally located. The host provided us with plenty of bottled water. The villa was cleaned once during our four stay and refreshed with towels. We grocery shopped at Lidl and made breakfast each day. We rented a car for two days from Spiridakos just up the street from the cave house. The location is downhill from the city center. Be prepared for a lot of up hill walking to get to main street. The kitchen has the basics. You will want to check the cabinets for seasoning, cooking implements and cookware before you go grocery shopping. Parking is limited near the villa but we did not have issues finding a spot.
- Noele (9/5): A good place for 2 couples with separate entrances to each floors. - Quirky house. Good central position. It was an uphill walk with steps to the main road.
- Jacqueline (8/5): Very good -
- Harrison (10/5): Exceptional - authentic and clean nothing!
- John (8/5): - The cave house is really cute, dug right into the hillside. We visited at a cooler time of year, but I would expect that in the heat of summer this would be a deliciously cool accommodation. It's an easy walking distance to the main spots in the main Santorini town of Fira. This means that getting around on local buses, accessing shops and services, admiring the stunning caldera views from the cliff top, etc., are all easy and nearby. The house itself has a lovely view from a tiny terrace (just room for two to sit) down the outer slopes of the island to the sea on the east side. Overall, great value, well located on an amazing island.
