Umanga (10/5): Very happy stay - We booked 4 rooms for our group of eight adults. All four rooms were quite large with A/C , comfortable beds , well furnished and were very clean. Rooms open to a large dinning area which is also nicely furnished and with a beautiful view of a paddy field. I found the room chargers to be very reasonable for the facilities provided. Couldn’t find any faults with this property. Happy to come back if we visit Polonnaruwa again.

Lahiru prabath (9/5): Good Hotel - Value for money. - Good hotel located not so far from Polonnaruwa town. No disturbing as it was located just pass the town.. owners family lives in ground floor.. but there was no disturbence.. has basic amenities like hot water, Tv channels. Good budget friendly hotel... can be recommended ... It would be best of it has seperate entrance to upper floors. And tea coffe makers.

Tim (9/5): Superb - A really good place, clean and comfortable. They were very helpful and friendly. They organised me a bicycle and dropped me off at the bus stop in their tuk tuk. They even had even had the sports channels on the tv which is a good bonus

I was given a welcome drink, the room was spotlessly clean, the shower was fantastic, the TV worked, and the bed and pillow were the most comfortable I've had in Sri Lanka. Amazing value for money. Everything was fantastic!

Anjalee (10/5): Great and Peaceful Place for a Relaxing Visit to the Ancient City - Great place with nice hosts. The beds were comfortable, and the room facilities were good, with all the necessary amenities included. Breakfast wasn't provided, but there's a space available to have meals if you bring food from outside. A/C worked very well.
Anjalee (10/5): Wonderful place to stay in Polonnaruwa - We had a wonderful stay. Great for couples and families. Pleasant rooms which was clean and well maintained. Good value for money. And the place is also very convenient. Very close to the Polonnaruwa city, Parakrama Samudra and ancient city as well. And very peaceful environment. The host is very kind and helpful. We had a delicious welcome drink as well(fresh fruit juice). All the rooms consists of TV, A/C and a modern bathroom with hot water and all the amenities. Overall I'm very happy with the stay. Thanks for the host. We'll definitely visit again. Nothing. Perfect place.

Luca (8/5): Good place in Polonnaruwa - The family running the business is very kind and welcoming. The structure is relatively new and the common spaces are tidy. The view from the terrace used for breakfast is beautiful (looking onto rice fields). The breakfast is good, abundant and cheap. The host has to take care of some details in the rooms (e.g. bed sheet too small, some leakages of the shower). In one of the rooms we found some cockroach.
Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible, awful , untrustworthy - From the outside the dining area looks clean but my room was dirty with spiderwebs. I had mentioned the water tank was empty but nothing was done to replace the jug. The room wasn’t cleaned when i mentioned to owner he said only upon request. I had requested 1hr late checkout due to my ride will arrive at 11am but he said no I had to checkout at 10am because a group was coming in , he then cut off power and wifi at 8a I couldn’t take a shower and the heat was unbearable trying to pack with no AC or overhead fan were miserable. When I inquired about no electricity he blamed the government I told him I had texted with other friends staying nearby places and they had electricity. That’s when he cut off wifi before my checkout time at 10am . I later inquired with other people around town they all had electricity! The owner lied ! Do not stay at this place. Website stated restrauant when I inquired about food as this place is in the middle of nowhere , his response was food not prepared. I wasn’t asking for free food but I had to eat and thought there’s a restaurant. I had to walk 2 kilometers to the nearest food place in hot & humid condition. He suggested I can bike but didn’t offered me a bike to ride into town . in fact I like a refund I was a solo female traveling for over 6wks not once was I out of electricity I was not a rowdy person,and being very quiet. I looked and found another place closer to town within 5mins walking distance. I do not recommend this place at all!

Clean but not super clean, we had lots of Gecko leftovers in the bathroom and room. The host was very helpful in organising us a tuktuk and a boat tour to see the lake’s bird life in the morning. We had no mosquitoes. To the historical part you can cycle by bicycle , there is a path, you don’t have to cycle on the highway. The juices are very tasty. Everything was very great.

Chris (10/5): Lovely place - I really liked it here. The family running this place are really lovely and helpful. They will put on a curry for you in the evening which is fantastic, and breakfast was great. Location wise, you will need to borrow a bike to see the town and the ruins; the family can help you with that. There is a lot of building work going on at the moment as they are adding an additional two floors, but that didn't detract from the overall experience. If arriving by bus, you will need a tuc tuc to get there as it is a stretch from the centre of town. Facilities are great but remember this is a family run business and not a hotel so don't expect a pool or anything like that. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathroom was fine.

The room was very comfortable, air conditioning very good, the wet room style bathroom was excellent. The owner and her small staff were very welcoming and friendly. I asked for a vegetarian evening meal when I arrived and was given a fantastic curry. Good advice was given on seeing the Polonnaruwa site. A lovely hotel and very comfortable one night stay.

Verified traveler (10/5): ホスピタリティが最高 - 2017年秋に開業したばかりでとてもきれい。笑顔の素敵な一家での経営で、困ったことがあるときはもちろん、そうでないときも、彼らはまるで家族かのように、少し頑張りすぎかなと思うくらい、とても親切に応対してくれました。蚊が多かったのですが、ベーブのようなものを部屋用に貸してくれました。新しいだけあって部屋はとてもきれい。ベッドのウレタン？もさすがにへたっていません。掛け布団はシーツ状のが1枚。シャワーは新しいボイラーがありお湯は出ますが湯量は少なめ。アメニティは石鹸と歯磨き粉のみ。スリッパはビーチサンダルでした。Wifi無料はありがたかったです。ドライヤーは頼めば貸してくれました。ポロンナルワの遺跡地区からは少し離れますが、周りは田んぼが広がり、虫の声が響き、孔雀が闊歩するような静かな環境。お水はフロントで100ルピーで買えましたが、お店などは付近にはないので予め買っておく方がよいです。
