What truly stood out was the superlative hospitality by the ever-smiling staff — right from security and the welcome team to reception, housekeeping, and the restaurant staff. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcomed and well cared for. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The food was well prepared, flavorful, and consistently enjoyable throughout our stay. The absolute highlight was the Christmas Eve gala dinner and entertainment. The show was fantastic, extremely well organized with professional performers, with great food options and a lovely festive atmosphere. The warmth and enthusiasm of every staff member made the evening even more special. Overall, a beautifully managed property with outstanding service and heartfelt hospitality. Highly recommended, and we would love to return! Though all staff members were awesome, special mention for Arun, Swathi, Mercy, Eshalin, Aidilin, Ajith & Baisl.
- GopinathSudhakar (10/5): A beautiful property with perfect blend of Greenery, Open spaces and Great Hospitality - We recently hosted our 2-day family get-together at The Leaf Resort around Christmas, and we had a memorable experience. The property is beautiful, with lush greenery and plenty of open spaces. The team was incredibly thoughtful, booking our villas close to one another and within easy walking distance of all amenities and banquet hall. This layout was perfect for our group, as the kids spent hours playing on the basket ball court, lawns and play area while we (adults) enjoyed the bonfire and banquet areas. A huge highlight was their banquet hall, which the resort kindly offered us on a complimentary basis for indoor games. It had a lovely ambiance and comfortably fit our group of 50. They even served dinner there, giving us a private and memorable dining experience. The food was excellent across the board—the à la carte lunch and dinner were delicious, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options for all dietary needs. We liked the evening tea stall concept which added a nice regional touch. The rooms were spacious with large living areas that were perfect for our late-night family chats. Even during odd hours, room service was prompt and the staff remained courteous and attentive. Overall, the hospitality at The Leaf is top-notch. Highly recommended!" Thank you to the Team Leaf, for making our family get-together a memorable one. The only con is the remote location which is on the outskirts of Munnar(other side of valley and the nearest nature trails/tea estate was about an hour from the resort. As the traffic in Munnar is pretty bad during holiday season, we spent our time entirely within the resort.

Food is reasonably priced and tastes well. parking is decent.

They have a few daily activities that seem to build a more community based atmosphere, such as tea-time, cooking demos, sports, like badminton, etc. The pool is small but clean. The rooms are quite spacious with a sitting area and a deck and the views from the property are beautiful. We only ate breakfast at the property, but it was fine and the staff was helpful and friendly. Personally, the highlight was taking three straight days of yoga with Mr. Anil. Anil not only has great knowledge in the practice but also has one of those calm, gentle yoga teacher voices that just make you want to drift off into relaxation after your muscles are done screaming at you. I actually wanted to cut a tea plantation visit short in order to get back in time for the afternoon yoga session!

It is beautifully located with excellent grounds and courteous staff. The food was great with wide variety of choices. The fish dish though in a la carte was disappointing. I would start my day with a very enjoyable yoga session by Mr anil Kumar, who I found friendly and knowledgeable. I would have loved to have more sessions with him and encouraged him to start online for students like us from abroad who would be benefitted.

The ambiance was beautiful, and the Chayakkada activity was one of the highlights. The resort offers a wide range of activities, including yoga sessions, making it one of the must-visit resorts in Munnar. A special mention to Mr. Arun, the Guest Relations Manager, who was extremely friendly and well-coordinated. His assistance made our stay truly memorable. - 847adea (10/5): An unusual uplifting experience - I was given a shortlist of 3 by someone with local knowledge. The Leaf Internet interface was welcoming so I chose it. And boy, was I glad I did! Right from the start, they make a point of a special welcome for guests and want you to seat while THEY bring the paperwork to you! Where you are sat. Then we were taken off to our room by the front office manager, a pleasant, knowledgeable lady. Bibin was quite helpful in his advice about what to do, inside and outside the hotel, while the restaurant staff were exceptionally attentive with Mercy & Yooluti being representative of prompt service and courtesy that the whole team took to a new level. The made to order naan/chipatti varieties were a new experience for us. I confess the 'fried at your request' omelettes may well be the best I have ever had. The mist that descends on the surrounding mountains is magical and enjoying that ambience sat besides the pool for hours was a rejuvenating treat. A place to unwind and chill with staff becoming friends and almost like family. Bythat I mean, a good family. From this comfortable pad, we launched out on a jeep safari which was most rewarding with a waterfall visit and Rainbow zipline adventures being very special. There was an unusual ethos among the staff of genuine friendliness from Sandra, Shilpa and other staff and I wonder about the leadership at every level that allows such innovativeness to flourish. Likely to be an empowering ethos, not heavy handed. Commendable. Our departure was almost emotional as they made you feel they wanted you back to care for you again😊. I hope that opportunity does present itself as I need to bring someone special next time who couldn't make it this trip. Some things are just too good to keep to one's self!

The Chayakkada session was really good, and the food was top-notch. Special thanks to Mr. Arun for all his help and support during our stay. The only thing we missed was the campfire experience, which couldn’t happen due to heavy rain. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we’d love to visit again! 🌿✨
- Roving52621837006 (6/5): Excellent property but the bathroom was a disaster! - We booked a family villa in this resort which is equivalent to booking two rooms but within same premises. The rooms are well appointed but even though charges are same for both, one room and it's adjacent bathroom is distinctly smaller. My mom's s room was fine but our room was smaller and the bathroom even smaller. But what made the bathroom worse was the hot water system. The water is scolding hot one moment, next moment it turns cold on its own. Despite complaining to reception Nothing was done in the 3 nights we stayed. That was a real dampener! The staff are otherwise very friendly and helpful, buggy service from rooms to dining area also is swift and food served in breakfast and dinner are tasty. There are many facilities provided inside the resort too like yoga etc. Another issue we faced is the approach road to the resort which is totally broken and muddy and a nightmare for any vehicle especially since the surface is wet mostly. Hopefully that will be improved too. Considering the high tariffs The Leaf charged, guests deserve at least better showering experience!
- Excursion62889588992 (8/5): Relaxing stay at The Leaf - Had a lovely time at The Leaf Munnar. Tucked away in the hills, away from the hubbub, The Leaf offers stunning views and fresh air. We enjoyed every meal, breakfast and dinner buffets as well as a la carte - everything was prepared with the best ingredients, and all the dishes were delicious. The service and attention was unbeatable, we felt very looked after from our arrival to our departure. It was particulary good during meal times as there was always someone to take a personalised order, without feeling too overwhelming. Our room was large and comfortable (the the bathroom was a little poky and it was hard to avoid the humidity due to the climate!). Without a doubt, the highlight of our stay was the Yoga classes with Anil. As a yoga teacher myself it was great to be taught by an authentic hatha yoga teacher. My husband and I loved the sequence of asanas, Anil's generous alignment corrections and, of course, his contagious laugh and enthusiasm. We really loved practising sun salutations outside with incredible views- the best classroom! Hope to return one day!

The food was excellent with plenty of choice. Just a note that there’s no bar or alcohol available, and the hotel is slightly remote — when it rained during our stay, we found ourselves a bit limited with what to do. However, it’s still a wonderful place overall. A special thanks to our waitress, Eshalin — she was amazing, so friendly, and we really enjoyed chatting with her. I hope she gets the recognition she deserves!

- 898anirudhab (10/5): Awesome stay at the Leaf Munnar - Amazing property surrounded by lush green Munnar scenery.. rooms are spacious and extremely well maintained!! The staff is amazing and service is top notch! This was one of the main highlights of our Munnar stay! They have various complimentary activities throughout the day like morning nature walk with bird watching, towel art workshop, evening tea with snacks etc.! Bird watching tour was very nice where the hotel staff showed multiple bird varieties around the property and also various spice plants! The property manager even gave us a family photo print when we were leaving! It was a memorable experience all together! Restaurant is also amazing with lot of variety! One thing to note is it’s little away from the main Munnar town around 45 mins ! If you have your own vehicle then it’s not a problem. Hotel can also help in cab arrangements . Highly recommend.

However, this is not a 5-star property as advertised — it’s more of a 4-star level. The staff is polite but needs better training and polishing. The connecting road to the hotel is in very poor condition, which affects the experience. Otherwise, the resort is good for a comfortable stay.

Since my daughter doesn't eat hot peppers, I asked the restaurant to cook a dish without the hot peppers, and the food was ready in just a few minutes. Thank you, The Leaf. Thank you for the commemorative photo. I didn't like the roughness of the road in the last 900 meters leading to the resort. I hope they provide a pool heater in the future, as the pool water is cold, especially at night. Thank you.

As it rained almost the entire day we spent most of our time within the resort and utilised all the available amenities. We attended a two-hour yoga session, dined at the restaurant and recreational centre and took a property walk. We must specifically commend the yoga teacher Mr Anil Kumar. He is highly knowledgeable in yoga and teaches each pose efficiently and precisely in an elegant manner. We are grateful for your time and hope to incorporate yoga into our lifestyle. My son enjoyed the food at the restaurant on all three occasions and the Chayakkada tea shop. He also enjoyed the indoor activities such as table tennis, badminton and foosball.

The only issue we faced on our stay was the room had a fairly strong damp smell, it we arrived just after the quiet rainy season.

Unfortunately we were only there for a quick 1.5 days, but the resort had impeccable views. The highlight for us was the Yoga with Anil - he was an incredible instructor, friend (always funny and laughing) and person, even showing us photos of his family after the sessions. Don’t miss the yoga and we highly recommend Anil’s yoga @ 7:30am!

The resort ambience is excellent with well-maintained rooms and common areas, a scenic infinity pool, and outdoor activities for families. Food rs was tasty and service overall was good, making our stay enjoyable. Only areas of improvement are more warmer staff–guest interaction and the approach road, which is a bit rough for sedans (though not the property’s fault).
