Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was tiny, as were the corridors, the walls are very thin so could hear people talking and using taps in neighbouring rooms. Breakfast is also pretty basic and the local area doesn’t feel massively safe, especially as a woman walking alone at night. The owner was lovely and really helpful though.

Helen (10/5): Well run and clean. - This was a nice hotel situated on a quiet street so not noisy in the evenings. It is well maintained and clean, plus my bed was really comfy so I had a great nights sleep. I would stay again if I ever return to Margate.

NJR (6/5): - the location was great so close to the town centre and coast. However our room smelt pretty musty - perhaps as though it hadn't been aired out, or even freshened up it had that 'people' smell which wasn't nice upon entering the room - they could've easily put an odour killer in to neutralise it! Also the shower was so hot that i couldn't use it. I tried changing the temp but it just stayed boiling hot the whole time. Also the beds were less than comfortable. A double bed was actually two singles joined together which left that annoying gap in the middle :(

We were pleased in till we noticed welts all over our bodies which look like they've come from bites. Not great stayed in room 6. Apart from that the place did look clean and didn't see any viable evidence of anything.... strange. Might need fumigating

Stephen (4/5): Nicely refurbished, but the room was terrible - The hotel is nicely refurbished and the staff was nice. However, our room, which could barely fit a double bed, didn’t have a private bathroom and we had to use a shared bathroom. This wasn’t clear from the listing. Next, the room was pretty cold and had a modern electric heater that heats it up in no time, but the light of the display was so bright that you couldn’t leave it on overnight. Waking up the next day to find the carpet was soaked with (hopefully) water in our room and landing. It was like walking in a swamp. We rushed to get out of there as fast as possible.

We don’t mind not having our towels changed, or having our bed made up, but I really object to paying a reasonably high price for a room and not even having our waste bins emptied We certainly wouldn’t stay here again

Walkable from the train station. Beach and good restaurants walkable too. Netflix in the room was a welcome surprise.
Aaron (10/5): Pleasantly surprised & will definitely return - Really enjoyed our overnight stay at the Dalby Rooms. On arriving, even in the pouring rain the place looked great. Not disappointed on entering either. Very clean, tidy and modern. Possibly could have done with a fan as it was rather hot in the back room with just a small window opening a couple of inches. Will definitely return, next time with the whole family.

Martin (10/5): - Really enjoyable one night stay at the Dalby Rooms with my family. We stayed in the ground floor family room which was perfect for our needs. Lovely and spacious, very well decorated. Netflix on the large TV to keep the kids entertained whilst getting dressed. Very nice bathroom with powerful shower. Breakfast was very good and catered for all four of us, with very different tastes perfectly. Finally Stef was an extremely pleasant and attentive host. Was a pleasure to meet him. If you find yourself in Margate for a night then look no further than this gem of a place.
Christopher (8/5): Great hotel - Great hotel, clean and comfortable and great value for money and only a short walk from the central part of town. Only improvement would be to text WiFi code upon arrival as this didn’t happen and could not get a phone signal in lower floors of the hotel.

Verified traveler (4/5): Nice rooms, dodgy area. - Booking a single ensuite. Got a double with a shared bathroom up the corridor. Not great as a woman travelling alone. When I complained they refused any kind of compensation as they said I had been ‘upgraded’ to a double. I didn’t ask for a double or need a double. I would have preferred not to have to walk up a corridor in my nightwear.

Owner very helpful and informative about all things local. On street parking free outside hotel. Would strongly recommend if looking to stay in Margate or Cliftonville. All round very nice stay.

Room was quiet, and the TV has access to Netflix & Amazon video. Overall a great stay, and would certainly stay again if we came to Margate!
