Guest Reviews
- Stephen (9/5): Keeps your desired temperature in and the weather out. - Wonderfully insulated gets toasty very quickly keeps its heat important nowadays. So clean felt could walk around barefoot. Carpets deep, excellent quality. Bed, so comfy, did not need to sleep on floor which I have had to do in other places. Had a great comfy cozy stay. Great move the welcome pack, other places I've stayed have not bothered left as to it, but good to know how everything worked, bar a couple of niggles, and where interesting places were. So I could feel free to include some gatefold flyers from places I'd enjoyed. Worked out the standalone heater switches illuminate so mastered bathroom towel rail! Golly the place warms up quickly, innit cawld for the time of year? This stay was just what I needed - in every way exceeded all my expectations! Would have liked to have met Shuana, but she was very communicative by email. TV remote needs new batteries; happy to handwash (couldn't find dishwasher tablets, but I could have asked). Very efficient microwave doubles as grill, but a hob would not go amiss. WD40 in lounge blind mechanism as locked open. Note main door, shaft sticks out so can lock people in / prevent from shutting door - potential fire safety hazard, happened only this morning (May 19th). 'Japanese' garden could do with some TLC and dispose of the bags - but I didn't come for that.
- Mark (10/5): Great accommodation and breakfast hamper. In beautiful setting. Outstanding value. - Beautiful location overlooking mature garden. Great continental breakfast provision. Generous comfortable layout. Relaxed hosting. Nothing it was all really good.
- Shuttleworth (9/5): -
- Sarah (9/5): Quiet rural spot for exploring the Fens - Accommodation was spotless. The fridge has fresh orange juice, milk and butter. Lots of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Plenty of cereal the choose from. Plenty of fresh towels too. You will need to take your own bread if you wanted toast.
Friendly dog ๐ We would have preferred a king size bed. We would have liked extra pillows. But thatโs personal preference. We slept well on the bed provided.
- Roger (9/5): Comfortable and owners had thought of everything we needed - Did not eat much N/a
- Paul (7/5): Satisfactory and very convenient for our needs. - Bed comfortable. Breakfast adequate. Well organised. Warm. Clean. Lovely surroundings. Friendly hosts. Lovely dog! Kitchen area minimal - no sink.

- Anh Hoร (9/5): Cozy and quiet cottage excellent value - - very cozy cottage
- separate bedroom
- handy microwave and great fridge
- lot of plates, dishes, bowls and glasses
- very quiet at night
- the orchard, the sheeps and the horses - the soda bed mattress is quite worn out
- the vacuum cleaner in the room was not working so we could not properly clean the carpet and rugs during our stay
- Penny (10/5): Lovely short stay, highly recommend will be returning. - Was easy to access, lovely views. Spacious. Friendly hosts and the lovely Barley
- Nicholas (10/5): - Location for me and daughter perfect . Hosts made us feel very welcome and relaxed . Daughter loved it with apple trees and the very friendly dog . Nothing we didn't like . We would go back again .๐
- Beverley (10/5): - Lovely room, quiet and comfortable with parking and kitchen facilities. N/A
- Slafaria (10/5): Excellent place for holidays in peace and quiet - It is a very calm place. Excellent for a good holiday in peace and quiet. Every day our friend came to visit us, barley ๐โค๏ธ
I recommend it, and one day when I return to this beautiful city, I will try to stay in the same place.
Thank you, Shona and Steve and Barley ๐ for everything I can't say I didn't like it. Because everything was 95% perfect.
In my opinion, (For those who stay for a long time, in my case 10 days ) , I think I could have a stove and 1 or 2 pots. We could cook fast meals. Then, will be 100% perfect.
- Danny & Merridee (7/5): -
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Wayne (7/5): Good - Owners very willing to help us when we had some travel issues
- Maria (10/5): Cute little garden bungalow - The flat was the perfect size for me, providing comfy accommodations as a base for exploring East Anglia locations of interest during the week I stayed there. The place is clean, the hosts are friendly, and all I needed was provided.
The grooms are cute, and it is surprisingly quiet at night, when farming traffic is finished on the road. Plenty quiet to hear the morning bird songs! Cooking is limited to a microwave and an egg cooker, but again, I didn't need a cooktop, with all the extra washing up it creates. it would be nice to have a sink in the kitchenette, but again, it wasn't a big problem to wash up in the bathroom sink with the wash basin and dish soap provided.
- Julia (9/5): Ideal for what we needed, comfortable and well equipped. - We liked the space and facilities, as well as the location which was close to family.
- Samantha (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (9/5): Clean, comfortable and good value - Lovely quiet location, very clean and comfortable little self contained studio.

- Abbie-louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joan (8/5): Brilliant loved it - We loved the hosts and the welcome we got from the resident dog (gorgeous).
We were only there for 3 nights and travelled with our dog and it was perfect. Our only criticism was that should you be staying for longer the lack of kitchen facilities might be problematic. We loved our stay and apart from that it was perfect. Just the lack of kitchen facilities. That was the only downside to an otherwise perfect property. However it is great for a short stay.
- Dominique (10/5): Lovely stay! - We stayed for one night and it was perfect for us. Our dog had a lovely area to play. The room was cleam and josts were very nice. Nice touch with breakfast provided and a lovely warm shower :)
- David (5/5): Adequate. - Location and ease of access. Hosts very friendly. Long grass in the orchard area and too many dead apples on the ground making walking more difficult.
No sink in the kitchen. This should be made more clear in the description.
Dog friendly but no poo bin. Had to bring it home.
- Paul (8/5): Had a very pleasant overnight stay and would definitely return if in the area. - Hosts were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. All good
- Clifford (10/5): Exceptional - Very peaceful and relaxing.
- Herlihy (9/5): We only had a brief stay, but it was perfect. - The little GEM. Wifi
- Anne (10/5): Very nice overnight stay - Ideal for us with our two dogs, only stayed one night but would definitely stay again, felt very welcome, owners are lovely. Nothing
- Andrew (7/5): Good -
- Nigel (9/5): Absolutely loved staying here. Very quiet location. Will be back again in the future. - Location was very quiet and peaceful, ideal after a long day out.
Breakfast was cereal/toast provided plus fresh orange juice/milk. Kitchenette was stocked with all you could need to fend for yourself.
A very useful guide to the local area was in the room including menus for every local pub/takeaway. We used Deliveroo to get our evening meal which worked really well.
Hosts were there if required for questions but otherwise we were left well alone to get on with it. The couple of interactions we had were very friendly and welcoming.
Family dog (Barley) was a joy to meet.

- Gavin (9/5): Superb - Everything was top notch. Iโd rate them the highest. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and approachable. The property was clean and fresh, with a good amount of bedding, comfortable beds, extra towels and lots of breakfast choices with complimentary extras. It was a home away from home. We really enjoyed our stay and the amount of privacy we had in the garden room was perfect. We were even allowed to take home some apples from their garden if we wished. We would love to stay again and it will be our first choice if we have the opportunity. nothing

- Nikki (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely apartment, plenty of light, very clean, fantastic grounds to walk our 2 dogs. Breakfast provided, as well as milk, orange juice and toiletries. TV at bit too small, no washing up facilities in the kitchen area.
- Kenna (9/5): Solo traveller - Loved staying here, such a lovely quiet location, great garden for the dogs. The Grannary was a good size, well equipped kitchen and really comfy bed. Steve was friendly and so helpful, and Barley the dog was gorgeous, a real comedian, and in doggy heaven with all his apples. The TV has poor reception, but Steve told me that. Its not a problem as great wifi so could stream.
