- Javier (10/5): Othmane hizo nuestra estancia inolvidable - La ubicación era excelente, muy bien conectada con la Medina y los principales lugares de interés. El trato de Othmane fue clave para que la experiencia fuera formidable; un chico muy amable, atento y con un trato muy cercano. Los desayunos son de los más completos que hemos probado, abundantes y además muy buenos. Las habitaciones conservan su encanto tradicional, algo que se agradece mucho para vivir una experiencia cultural más auténtica. Agradecemos habernos hospedado aquí, especialmente después de la decepción que tuvimos con una reserva anterior en otro riad. Como punto menos positivo, las habitaciones de los pisos superiores tienen unas escaleras bastante altas y empinadas. Si vienes con sueño puedes llevarte algún susto jajaja, aunque entendemos perfectamente que forma parte de la arquitectura tradicional y el encanto cultural del dar. Por lo demás, nada que objetar. Todo perfecto.

A student worker is there. 2. You get no set of keys for entry so you basically have to rely on the student worker to open for you 3. I had old mold patches in my bathroom 4. They refused giving me coffee before breakfast, when i had to leave.

- Barbara (10/5): Un excellent séjour dans un très beau dar typique - Un très beau dar, typique, sans bruit de l'extérieur, aux chambres spacieuses, et pourvu au sommet d'une terrasse avec une belle vue sur toute la ville. Situé au bord de la médina, près d'une porte fortifiée, le dar Lalla Kenza est facile d'accès à pied et en voiture et le quartier est fourni en commerces et restaurants. Les sites célèbres à visiter sont proches, tout a été fait à pied. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux, tout est frais, et les repas sont délicieux. Abdoul nous a accueilli avec une gentillesse et une serviabilité sans pareil, et grâce à lui notre séjour a été facile et très agréable.

La ubicación es buena, ya que es fácil entrar y salir de la medina. Buena relación calidad-precio. Antes de mi llegada pregunté si podía pagar con dólares y me dijeron que sí. Por lo tanto me planifiqué para eso. Cuando llego me dicen que no es posible... Por lo tanto muy decepcionado con eso. Por otro lado, los huéspedes no disponen de llaves para la puerta principal. Alguien te abre la puerta siempre que llegas. En lo personal, me resulta un poco incómodo. Si eres una persona mayor o con problemas para subir escaleras, cuidado con las habitaciones de más arriba, porque hay muchas escaleras y con pasos grandes.

Fes el-Bali jest najlepiej zachowanym średniowiecznym miastem w świecie islamu. Te wąskie labirynty uliczek naprawdę mogą powodować efekt zagubienia się, ale jeśli masz nawigację, albo zapytasz kogoś o drogę to oczywiście Ci ją wskaże (tylko uważaj, jeśli zaprowadzi cię na miejsce może chcieć napiwek za pomoc). My przyjechaliśmy pod wieczór i szliśmy od parkingu krętymi uliczkami medyny. Jednak jeśli sprawdzisz przed przyjazdem gdzie dokładnie znajduje się hotel, to od ulicy jest dosłownie 60 metrów (napisy z oznaczeniem drogi do hotelu są namalowane ścianach). Po zmroku światla palą się na tych wąskich uliczkach więc nie ma obawy, że człowiek gdzieś utknie. Przybyliśmy pod wieczór i po znalezieniu drzwi wejsciowych okazało się, że gospodarza nie ma w środku. Musieliśmy czekać kilkanaście minut by wejść do środka (gospodarz był właśnie na małych zakupach). Nie dostaje się klucza do głównych drzwi wejściowych, więc jesli trafi się sytuacja, że gospodarz gdzieś wyjdzie na moment trzeba na niego czekać.

De plus, il nous a renseigner sur pas mal de sites touristiques aux alentours de la Médina et au centre ville. Ce que nous avons le plus aimé s'est le petit déjeuner qui était excellent. Préparer avec soin et beaucoup d'amour. Nous avons remarqué que le débit de l'eau de la salle de bain était faible. Cependant, cela ne nous a pas empêché de visiter, ni d'apprécier la beauté du riad et l'accueil !

- Silvia (10/5): - Posizione ottima, all’interno della Medina ma anche a 2 minuti a piedi da tutti i punti di ritiro delle gite che abbiamo organizzato e dal punto dei petit taxi. Il primo giorno abbiamo potuto esplorare sia la Medina che la parte più esterna di Fes grazie a due guide molto preparate. Un ringraziamento particolare lo dobbiamo ad Abdool, che è stato il nostro punto di riferimento, la sera appena arrivati alle 23:30 ci ha accompagnato lui stesso a cenare per poi riaccompagnarci all’hotel, ma questo è solo un esempio dell’aiuto che ci ha dato. Senza di lui questo soggiorno non sarebbe lo stato lo stesso!

- Ann (8/5): An amazing stay in the heart of an ancient maze. - Excellent hospitality. Good recommendations for a local guide to the old medina (city), restaurant, cabs. Sited in the heart of a maze of very narrow old pedestrian streets for an authentic experience. A nice local style breakfast. The friendly host speaks fluent English. An official guided tour of the city is very interesting - You will see alley cats, donkeys, skilled crafts people, fantastic buildings. A real step back in time. A lot of deep tiled stairs to reach the room at rooftop level. If you're elderly or with small children, perhaps not suitable, or ask for ground floor. The place is hard to find in the maze. Turn location on in google maps to help. Unofficial guides will offer help for a modest tip, but official guides are better (and more expensive). Call ahead so the host can meet you. Around the town many toilets are primitive, squat style holes in the ground. Carry tissue, don't wear tights.

Le petit déjeuner préparé par Abdou était très copieux et bien présenté Un point à améliorer est la terrasse qui n’est absolument pas aménagé et c’est bien dommage. Les robinets de la douche tres vétustes et la pression de l’eau était insuffisante.

Er hat uns ein tolles Frühstück vorbereitet und war sehr liebevoll im Umgang mit unseren Kindern. Insgesamt haben wir uns wohlgefühlt. Leider wurde uns nicht im Voraus mitgeteilt, dass die Klimaanlage defekt ist. Bei Temperaturen über 38 °C war das mit zwei kleinen Kindern sehr belastend. Wären wir vorher darüber informiert worden, hätten wir uns möglicherweise für eine andere Unterkunft entschieden. Außerdem war auf Booking.com hinterlegt, dass die Zahlung per Visa-Karte erfolgen soll. Vor Ort wurde uns dann aber gesagt, dass nur Barzahlung möglich ist – das wurde vorher nicht erwähnt. Dadurch mussten wir kurzfristig Bargeld wechseln, was sehr unpraktisch war, vor allem da wir direkt im Anschluss zwei weitere Aufenthalte geplant hatten. Diese Intransparenz bei der Zahlungsweise fanden wir nicht in Ordnung.

- George (7/5): Very welcome staff and value for money - We had a very warm welcome (with perfect English) from the staff and they gave us suggested walking routes in Google Maps with points of interest and restaurants in Fes. We always had assistance with every need (restaurant bookings, taxi transfer) we might expressed. The bathroom facilities were a bit old. POS was not available and we could not pay by credit card even though it was listed in booking as a payment option. Breakfast was very simple, coffee, juice, and bread with butter and marmalade.

He also let us borrow the Routard someone had left before us. The location is really nice, a few minutes away from the Medina, which you can but also avoid by going South of the city to reach the Jnan Sbil gardens. Everything (Fes El Bali & Fes Jdid) is close-by at a walking distance (40min top). Breakfast was included for us and we ate a lot of Msemen (possible to find it also with parsley or onions and spices close to the Boujloud square!), and everything was delicious. Last but not least the terrace view is stunning! Woke up earlier one day to see the sunrise, which was really nice, even though we didn't see the sun because of the clouds...

Spent a lot of time with us made conversations, helped us get a tour guide to look throughout the city which I would really recommend. The property itself was really cleaned and well maintained would definitely recommend this stay to anyone who’s looking for a traditional Moroccan Riad to stay in. The traditional food served at the Riad itself is also exceptional and the breakfast was amazing.

The room was huge, and beautiful and you really got to experience the traditional Riad. The host Abderrahman was incredibly helpful and completely looked after us, helping book, tours, Hammam and the taxi to the airport! He booked us a lovely tour guid, thank you Driss for showing us around and sharing your knowledge!! And left us to have our own space as well- the perfect host! Breakfast was lovely and the roof top was a lovely viewing point! I would recommend the property, the host and the guid to anyone who visits Fes!

- Hans (9/5): Great riad - Great staff, great location. It is a very well cared for riad, but still a riad, so manage your expectations. This is not a 5 star hotel. Abderrahmanin was a great host and made sure that we had a pleasant stay.
- Giorgio (9/5): Very good place to explore the Medina of Fez - The place is great with the very typical structure of a Riad. Abderrahman, the guy who works there, is a very kind and friendly person. He helps you for all your stay in Dar Lalla Kenza... also dealing with taxi drivers for the price! 😁 Breakfast is nice and big. You can also ask him for lunch or dinner (reservation in advance via whatsapp) for a very affordable price and very good quality (the cous cous and tajin we liked most in Fez). We are vegetarian and we didn't have any problems. The location in Medina is very good: taxis can stop just on one of the main streets outside it (2 minutes walking). We would definitely recommended it. Ps. Just to know for cold seasons: many places in Old Medina don't have airco or radiators. Not a big problem if you know how to travel on budget otherwise better to ask in advance because some rooms have it and others no.

- Robert (8/5): Very good - Abderrachman is a great host he will do anything he can to make you have the best stay. The location is superb! Not to far from the main road but inside the old Medina! Breakfast was one of the best ones we had so far on our roundtrip in morocco. Everything was very clean an hygienic. The room was a bit noisy, you could hear everything that was going on in the riad and on the tarras. The beds were a bit short but okay for 1 or 2 nights. We didn't get the key to the front door so we had to message the host if we wanted to go back in. So we had to wait outside until he was back. it didn't take long but a key would be a better option (like in the other riads we stayed at)

- Moritz (8/5): Very good - - location is really central - good price, big room - nice roof top - good staff - good tour tips - it is a riad with open space in the center, so, if you really want quietness and privacy, it is probably the wrong place...I didn't care - no key for the main door, you always have to get in touch with the owner, but it actually was no problem - location is a bit hard to find

The host was very friendly and helpful, he arranged us transport to the airport and a parking place near the hotel for the renting car. He is fluent in English and made the stay there very comfortable. The room was big enough and clean, the terrace was also very nice with a nice view on the entire medina We had same issues with the toilet and could be more soundproofing. Otherwise would be a 10/10
