Guest Reviews

- Laura (7/5): - Modern room, nice big comfortble bed, good AC. We personally really appreciated the location further away from town because it was very quiet. We would come again. Our rooms were never cleaned, not even the trash emptied, during our 5 night stay. A sign in the room said room cleaning cost 40 bzd extra, which really bothered me for a stay of that duration.
There is no seperation to the bathroom and absolutely no opportunity to hang up anything in the bathroom (even towels).
- Trina (8/5): It was great! I would rebook but I would ask questions first. - I love that room had wipes. The bathroom had no door for privacy.
The bathroom window had no curtains and there was a taller house next the room that have a window facing the bathroom window.
- xXmatzeXx3 (10/5): - Our stay at Jungle Cocoon was amazing! The rooms were beautiful, modern, and very clean. Having a fridge in the room to keep drinks cold was a big plus. The location is perfect: nice and quiet, yet you can easily reach everywhere on the island. Great restaurants like Shado Beni are just around the corner.
The breakfast was great every single morning. We didn't manage to eat at the hotel's restaurant for dinner, but if the food is even half as good as the breakfast, it must be outstanding!
A huge thank you to our host, Frederic. Since we had to leave early for the ferry, he prepared a lunch package and coffee to go for us at 6:00 AM. It wasn't just a simple lunch—he actually baked fresh ham and cheese croissants in the oven for us and added fresh melon and bananas. That’s top-notch service! We had everything we needed and would love to come back.
- Geisa (10/5): - I love the location. The street is very quiet and calm but also near shops and restaurants. The room was clean and organized. I'd stay there again.
- Corran (10/5): Quiet and brand new looking property. Fred was very helpful, would recommend. - Facilities were great, quiet location.
- Harlan (8/5): -
- Philip Munch Holm (7/5): Nice and clean rooms, very tidy. Lacks soul and environment - Really nice rooms in terms of temperature and front porches It is a riddle to me why you would build a small cabana, where you from the bed can see straight to the toilet. No curtain, no door, nothing to prohibit you from seeing your partner while they’re on the can - besides going outside on the porch.

- Ralph (8/5): Gorgeous unique property on Caye Caulker - Uniquely styled spacious room in a tranquil garden setting. Located away from the main area (but everything is in walking distance!) however can hear some noise from nearby airstrip in the mornings. Staff were superb and very welcoming and helpful with local recommendations. Overall good stay and would recommend. Nothing, everything met expectations. Only minor point is the noise from the airstrip nearby. Light sleepers perhaps bring earplugs!
- Bernardo (6/5): - Lugar moderno.

- Anthony (10/5): Luxury stay with beautiful room - Our room was a self contained luxury room that felt like a luxury hotel room. The host was helpful and we loved the folder full of recommendations in the room. Drinking water dispenser and fridge in the room, huge bed and nice shower. We didnt want to leave! It's a little further from the main area but totally walkable and we didnt mind.
- Soledad (10/5): My stay was magical & this spot was the cherry on top. - The spot was sufficient, clean, & cute. I wish the bike had been included with the price considering how far everything was. I should’ve checked before booking.
- Charlotte (10/5): -
- Paul (10/5): Suberb, peacfull and extremley comfortable! - Superb! Such a comfortable place and the bathroom is perfect! A peaceful retreat in a great island! I love this place and would happily stay again Bathroom bed and peace and quiet!
- Denise (10/5): Top Unterkunft an ruhiger Lage!
- Alfonso Lievanos (10/5): - Un lugar muy tranquilo, muy natural.
- Vera (9/5): - Room was very luxurious, comfortabel and clean, nice bathroom It is a little walk from the city centre
- Harm (8/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay. It is quiet, and away from the town area, creating a very hot walk midday. However, there are lots of golf cart taxis in the area, should you need one. We didn't get a chance to try the restaurant, but it was nice to know it was there for a convenient meal.
The room was spacious and while it was warm, the fans made it tolerable. We didn't really get hot water--it was okay since it was so hot, but something to note.
- Lorenzo (9/5): -
- Rasheedah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deb (7/5): Good - Nice setting Unfortunately the lack of air conditioning forced me to move ...
- Rob (10/5): If you’re contemplating coming here, JUST DO IT!! - Frédéric and staff were so awesome. Great food and environment. You gotta go. Nothing, it was absolutely fantastic. Super chillin and laid back. Properly manicured garden and running water made it super zen.
- James (5/5): Passable -
- Dionah (9/5): Superb - This property is very whimsical and quaint. It is off the beaten path of the busier side of Caye Caulker, but very convenient to the air strip. Our stay was short, but cozy and it was nice to be on the quiet side of the island to get the best of both worlds. The restaurant is the main draw to the property and food is great, I highly recommend the pizza. Everyone here was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. I do wish there was more kitchenware available other than drinking glasses.
- Jordan (9/5): Superb - The room was very nice and well thought out. The location is a reasonable distance from the Main Street. Older people not able to walk long distances or bike will probably have to pay for a taxi back and forth which will add up. I rented a bike and it takes probably 8 minutes normal pace to get to to the Main Street.
- Vendula (8/5): I really liked the accommodation and could recommend it. A few things to fix though. - Size of the room, vibe and overall space. Comfortable bed.
Nice surrounding, very friendly and nice staff in the nearby restaurant. Hard to manage hot water in the bathroom (it was there but really small water stream).
The "sofa" would be much better with a new (higher) foam, now you feel the slats of the couch sitting on that.
- William (5/5): Quiet cabana, could use some maintenance. - The host, Frederic, was friendly and helpful, and even picked us up at the ferry dock. The setting is quiet and peaceful, away from the core business area. The associated restaurant is good --excellent croissants in particular. The jungle cocoon cabana is interesting but not particularly comfortable. it was impossible to sit on the couch without pillows from the bed due to a very thin cushion and hard springs underneath. We could never get hot water in the shower, though the bathroom sink had hot water.
- Eva (2/5): - I've never written a negative review about a property but I rely heavily on reviews so thought I'd share my experience. I'll start off by saying the owner is friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, this was more a place to stay if you're looking for a very basic stay where you want to rough it. The room is super hot, the bed is uncomfortable and when walking back at night there isn't proper lighting. I don't recommend it to female solo travellers. I did not feel safe. When I requested to leave due to not feeling safe the owner said I had to pay the balance. So I ended up booking at a different hotel and lost my money. Unfortunately expedia wasn't helpful when I requested a partial refund for the original room, which was disappointing.
