Guest Reviews
- Tyson (10/5): A wonderful relaxing time in the South. The hospitality and kindness of the hosts made for a beautiful experience - Amazing location, facilities, food and hospitality. Nothing
- Jason (10/5): Exceptionally relaxed welcome in beautifully appointed house with dream-like views. - Very well appointed room in beautifully converted house and terrace that boasts the most exceptional sea view. The restaurant Perbacco is on the same property and the food is sensational. Both are a must. Nothing. Perfect.
- Elisabeth (10/5): An outstanding Place - you have to try it - The room was a very big surprise,, we had the room with the 200 years old Olive oil press and our room feel like a Museum - absolut outstanding, the view trom the Code terrasse was famous. And the Dinner was very good and we fehlt us very welcome, thank you so much

- Adriana (10/5): -
- Stefano (10/5): - Magnifica location. Caratteristica con vista mozzafiato
- Ágnes (10/5): Exceptional - We’ve spent a wonderful afternoon and night at Santa Mercurio Country House. The view from the covered terrace was spectacular. Having a dinner at the enoteca restaurant on site is highly recommended. The breakfast is also delicious and plentiful.
We really appreciated the kind and caring hospitality of the staff. Nothing
- De (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (10/5): An excellent choice for a low key couple of nights. It was just what we needed. - The view over the sea was exceptional, and the covered open air lounge area for this was a huge bonus. The breakfasts were wonderful. And the enoteca restaurant on site was amazing. The nearby old town of Pisciotta was interesting to poke around in. We can't sleep under a thick duvet, but our host brought us a very light bed cover.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephan (10/5): Awesome in every way - Awesome in every way! The place, the room, the terrace, the comfort but the stand out was the service and friendly care we got. The food is excellent and the breakfast doesn’t lack anything.
- Geoffrey (9/5): A unique experience with wonderful hosts. In peak season the room price through booking.com does not represent value for - The location, the staff, and the restaurant are all exceptional. It is a wonderful setting for a unique country villa experience. Unfortunately the booking.com website is very misleading about the room facilities. It states that the room comes with sea, garden and landmark views with terrace, outdoor room and outdoor furniture. While these are available as communal facilities they are not private to the room. There a 2 small windows with no views, one gives other guests a view into your bedroom and the other provides a view from the car park into your room. The distance to the beach is 3.4 km not 1.3 km as stated on the booking.com website.
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - must stay - They catered to our every need, they provided recommendations on what to see and do in the local area.
They were patient while we were trying out best at learning Italian. Nothing
- Mathias (7/5): I would rather recomend it for an apperitivo in a nice summer evening than for sleeping - The place has definitely some charme. You have a view, laid back, with a good resto, a huge room that looks good and very nice bathroom. Manuela is a gifted and charming person to entertain and advise you. The old owner is a knowledgeable person who knows a lot about wine and the region. He selects the music all the time and alone for that it is worth to come and spend some hours there, because that was really an experience.
The food that we ate was good and not too expensive. Probably the Michellin is deserved but I cannot really judge; see als below. The breakfeast was amazing. First of all the bed was not what I expected from the consultation with them, from the fotos, and from the price. they also sold me some wine bottles for 64€ that I basically selected by myself from suggestions in my guide book. I found out later that their price was 49% higher than the price that I had paid if I ordered it where I live, and I could not try it or so. So I do not really know what is the added value for paying much more. Here is the proof:
https://www.wine-searcher.com/find/luigi+maffini+pietrain+catenata+fiano+paestum+igp+campania+italy/2020/netherlands Online Price ca. 27€. https://www.wine-searcher.com/find/viticoltori+de+conciliis+selim+spumante+campania+italy Online Price ca. 16€.
Total Price: 43€.
From the two points above I get the idea that they try to make as much money as posible out of every customer, but not with the best value for money. As far as I remember the price for good fish was quite high, and after these experiences I would bet that it is not really fresh, as my instinct says, cause when I asked if it is fresh he was not even sure from when it was. So I did not order.
I can say that I stayed in Palinuro in an accomodation for 80€ instead of 120€ with a much better structure and one of the best matrasses ever. We didnt try out beaches in Pisciotta but it is probably not comparable with Palinuro, for example.
- David (9/5): Very enjoyable stay, great small hotel with friendly staff - The food was wonderful and location good. Dressing gown and slippers would be nice but this is a very minor concern
- Casey (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. I would highly recommend this place - a true Italian experience of hospitality. The view is stunning and it was very accommodating to cyclist. If you stay here, eat at the restaurant; it is superb and all made with local ingredients and products. We felt at home at this stay. The wine selection in fascinating. nothing.
- Heather (10/5): The location of the House is fabulous. The view is breathtaking. The food served at the restaurant was first rate. The p - The view, the location, the restaurant, the staff- all were AMAZING!!!!!! There was nothing I did not like.
- Reut (9/5): Highly recommended! - Stunning view.
The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming!
- John (10/5): What an incredible find on the slopes toward the sea in the Cilento National Park. Cannot recommend it more. - Such a friendly little inn with an exquisitely gorgeous view, and a friendly staff that will keep you coming back. What a great find. Even better, the family runs a restaurant right there on the property, where you eat under old Mediterranean trees under soft summer evening breezes. Two of the rooms have museum-worthy winery pieces in them, as these rooms used to be the cellar of the villa above. They are spacious and really well done. The smallest room is neat, but the window above the bed opens right into the walkway of the adjacent room. There’s no way around it, but you just have to be ready to be glanced at if you open the window.
