- Anthony (9/5): - Fantastic resort, run by Jerome with his right hand man Andrew. Such a helpful man, he really made our stay wonderful. Great company too if you can get him chatting! Rooms are amazing, so much attention to detail. Highly recommended. Swimming pool is a bit odd! Took off a star for that. It looks more like an open top water tank than a swimming pool. But you can get wet and cool off.

Wir hatten einen Shuttle von/zur Fähre und auch zum Abendessen. Was uns noch gut gefallen hat, ist der Wasserspender im Bungalow, damit wird jede Menge Plastikabfall vermieden. Ausserdem hat das Team ein Herz für Tiere. Nichts

- Melissa (10/5): Tolle Villas mit super Lage (am Strand), wunderschöner Garten mit Pool und tolles Team! - Können die tollen Bewertungen nur bestätigen. Das Somewhere Else von Jerome und sein ganzes Team haben uns einen supertollen Urlaub erleben lassen. Wir haben mit Coraya Divers getaucht (gleich nebenan) und hier gewohnt. Die Villas sind wirklich schön und mit viel Details und Nützlichem ausgestattet, bequeme Betten, grosszügige Bäder und tolle Veranda. Der Garten ist grosszügig und sehr schön, vom Pool aus hat man einen Blick aufs Meer. Das Frühstück gibts auf der Veranda oder am Strand… und sowieso, das ganze Team vom Somewhere Else ist mega nett und hilft beim Allem! DANKE Jerome, Remely, Andrew, Shante & alle aus dem Team 💖💖 ——
- quentin (10/5): Un havre de paix avec un service exceptionnel dans un cadre idyllique. - Nous avons absolument tout aimé dans cet hôtel. Le cadre est magnifique, à deux pas de la mer, dans un environnement paisible et encore préservé. Jérôme, le propriétaire, est exceptionnel : chaque jour, il nous propose des activités adaptées à la météo et à nos envies, ce qui rend le séjour très fluide et agréable. Les navettes le soir pour les restaurants sont un vrai plus, et ses recommandations sont excellentes. Les chambres sont très belles, confortables et parfaitement entretenues. Le petit-déjeuner sur la plage est un moment particulièrement mémorable. Rien à signaler. Tout était parfait

Recomiendo este alojamiento a todo el que venga a Camiguin, las villas tienen todo lujo de detalles y el nivel de limpieza y confort es extremo. Todos los servicios que puedas necesitar te los ofrecen a un precio super ajustado, no merece la pena buscarlos fuera. Jerome se desvive por explicarte y recomendarte sitios. De todos nuestros alojamientos en multitud de viajes es del que hemos salido más gratamente satisfechos. Tener que irnos, lo echaremos de menos.

- Thorsten (10/5): Gemütliche Anlage am Strand mit sehr gut ausgestatteten Zimmern - Weitläufige und gepflegte Anlage direkt am Meer. Die Villas sind mit allem ausgestattet, was man im Urlaub braucht. Highlight war die gemütliche Sitzecke im Außenbereich der Villa, in der man den Abend ausklingen lassen konnte. Der Eigentümer gibt viele gute Ausflugstipps. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Es gibt kein Mittag- oder Abendessen im Hotel. Die Unterkunft bietet aber einen kostenlosen Fahrservice an. Der Pool ist eher klein und zweckmäßig.

Der Besitzer gab uns super informative Tips über schöne Orte und war überhaupt sehr freundlich und kommunikativ. Leider war der Nachbar gerade am "bauen", und dies ziemlich laut. Aber da konnte ja unser Hotelbesitzer nichts dafür.

The location is a bit isolated. It rained a lot when we were there and you can’t really walk anywhere for lunch or to explore - particularly when very wet. They do have a driver available for a cost during the day though & free to go to and from dinner.

- Leyla (10/5): Traumhafter Aufenthalt - Die Zimmer befinden sich in einem wunderschönen Garten, fernab der lauten Straße, und haben viel Abstand zueinander, sodass sie viel Privatsphäre bieten. Sie sind geräumig, ansprechend eingerichtet und sauber. Der Hotelbesitzer war sehr freundlich, hat uns ausführlich über die verschiedenen Möglichkeiten informiert und ist auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Das haben wir sehr geschätzt. Alles hat uns gut gefallen.
- Jack (9/5): Dec 2025 Review - Owner and staff were accessible, very friendly and attended to our needs to ensure a pleasant stay. Owner provided maps of island with suggestions on things to do. AC in room, hot water and breakfast food was good. Scooters and helmets for rent were new condition. Beautiful black/gray sand beach. Property has friendly, rescue dogs on-site; need to watch your step to avoid dog poop. Staff is diligent in cleaning up after dogs so this was not a significant concern. Resort needs better signage along main (highway) road to allow visitors to find the property.

Hat uns die Tagesausflüge mit Fahrer organisiert. sogar an die Handtücher für unterwegs hat er gedacht und den fahren mitgegeben. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen. Es war ein perfekter Urlaub für uns. - Marion (10/5): - Toll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit sehr schönem großen Terrassenbereich. Viele kleine Annehmlichkeiten z. B. eine Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer mit Pulver und Milch. Grosser Garten und viel Platz. Frühstück wird zum Bungalow gebracht oder am Strand. Auf Wunsch wurde für uns ein größeres Motobike organisiert, da die Scooter für uns zu klein sind. Tauchschule und Restaurant im Hotel nebenan. Aktuell wurde einiges vom Strand weggespült, wohl jahreszeitlich bedingt. Am Strand nebenan wird gebaut.
- Aurelien (10/5): Parfait - La situation géographique du logement est idéal avec un transport gratuit de l’aéroport mais aussi le soir pour aller dîner ils vous amènes et viennent vous chercher gratuitement. Jérôme le gérant est adorable très intéressant et connais l’île sur le bout des doigts. Merci à lui de nous avoir fait des itinéraire autonome pendant notre séjour en nous disant ce qu’il valait le coup on non dans un ordre logique pour pas perdre trop de temps tout en en ayant assez sur place. Nous recommandant à 100%
- Joachim (10/5): tolle Anlage zum Relaxen und sich wohl fühlen. - wunderschöne weitläufige Anlage, tolle große Zimmer bzw. Appartements, alles mit Bedacht eingerichtet und es war sehr sauber. Man merkt, daß Jeroem, der diese Anlage führt aus Europa, genauer gesagt aus Frankreich kommt. Es ist wohl die beste Lage auf Camiguin Island, direkt am (dunklen Vulkan-) Strand, unweit von der schneeweisen Sandbank, die man zum mit dem Boot zum schnorcheln besuchen kann. Von der Anlage aus erlebt man traumhafte Sonnenuntergänge. Für uns das Highlight waren die wohlerzogenen Hunde, die uns immer beim (sehr leckern) Frühstück am Strand besucht haben, aber niemals aufdringlich waren, sich aber gefreut haben, wenn man sie ein wenig geknuddelt hat. Jeroem hatte gute Tipps auf Lager und konnte viel aus seiner 20jährige Erfahrung auf den Philippinen berichten.

Le propriètaire est très sympathique et met tout en oeuvre pour que vous passiez un bon séjour. Les petits déjeuners sont très bons. Le soir pour diner vous devez vous faire emmener en ville.
- Maria (10/5): 10/10 villas in Camiguin! - It is a very special and private hotel with 4 villas SUPER well equipped, including a fresh and cold water dispenser, wine fridge with plenty of bottles, silent AC, walking shower (internal and external) and extremely comfortable bed. They offer free transfer from and to the airport, arrange motorbike for you with a competitive cost. It is next door to the White Island Boat terminal (you can actually see the island from the hotel beach), and the garden and pool cant be cleaner and well cared. The breakfast is outstanding: fresh bread with butter and variety of home made jellies, eggs, hame, crepes, fresh cut fruit and juice and freshly brewed coffee. The place is animal friendly, with very gentle dogs and cats which will not bother you at all, but just look for love and cuddles. The staffing is super kind and helpful. I cant recommend this place enough. 10/10 value for money! It would be great to have kitchen opened for lunch / dinner. Anyway, we found nice grill and local places in the road 3 min drive from the hotel 🙂

- Samuel (10/5): Extremely satisfied and thankful to have found this absolute gem of a resort to stay in Camiguin - Excellent breakfast spread. The room is very beautiful. We loved the lounge bed. The aircon worked well and was sufficient to keep the unit cool. We enjoyed playing badminton/ball in the courtyard and going for a dip in the pool after. Friendly workers and host. We rented a car and found the location close (within 10 minutes drive) to the main town and other interesting attractions. Note the resort also provides free drop off and pick up to restaurants within the town area and airport. Brown outs when happened were annoying as the room does get hot without aircon but we just went to the cold springs/waterfalls to cool down.

- Cunningham (8/5): Camiguin is beautiful - The property was very nice and very beautiful beach out front. I thought it was a little expensive and I don't like when they turn off the AC while we are gone, then it takes a long time to cool down. AC unit was too small for room size.

- jordiv28 (8/5): Very good option to stay while you visit Camiguín. - Ir is not a hotel in the proper sense. There is no bar, restaurant or a reception desk. They are three cottages scattered in a lush garden in front at the seafront. Do not expect a gorgeous beach nor a pristine pool. However the place is beautiful, the service is friendly and the owner Jerome provides excellent activities recommendations depending on the weather or sea state. Ana he can even personally deliver you on the bike to the port if needed (thanks a lot Jerome for your big favor)

- Dustin (10/5): Stunning villas with full service from a great host - Our stay was amazing. Boutique villas that you can tell a lot of thought went into, tons of detail and a very cool vibe. Rooms had high ceilings, were cleaned each day with available water and coffee. The breakfast each morning was great brought right to your outside bed. The whole property is gorgeous, warm lights hanging from palm trees with friendly dogs and cats roaming around. Dark sand beach right in front of the villas that have a great sunset view as well. Jerome the owner was awesome, you can really tell he cares about his guests. So much value, you can’t go wrong staying here. Nothing.

First of all the owner, Jerome is one of the sweetest and interesting person I have ever met! First of all the communication between the resort, and I was always swift and I really appreciated that. We arrived early in the morning to the island, and was able to check in at 11 AM because the room happened to be available and ready which I really appreciate it after a long morning of traveling! Then we were given breakfast on the beach side, which was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed that every morning of our stay! We were picked up on time at the airport also by the driver who is super kind and helpful. Jerome was able to also arrange for our two separate day excursions around the island with a private driver who stayed with us during the entire tour stops. There are four villas on the property and we stayed in the single one with my daughter and the room is just gorgeous! It had a comfortable king bed, a refrigerator, water dispenser-so we never had to worry about going thirsty the room also had all the comforts like snacks , water, wine, beer - you name it! (Extra charge) but coffee, tea wine and milk were included! The Villa also had an umbrella and we were provided a local mobile phone that already had the owner Jerome’s phone number and the drivers phone number in it in case we didn’t have local service which we didn’t so this was really helpful and put us at ease knowing we have a phone that we could call the property if needed. They also had mosquito repellents for the home, such as spray & burning coils. We especially loved the beautiful front porch/lounge area that had the giant bed with powerful ceiling fan so we just spent so much time relaxing overlooking the views facing the ocean. The property is oceanfront, however from our room, you could not see the ocean, but we had a nice view of the pool. Everything was perfect!

- 168anikag (10/5): June 2024 Family Stay - A gem on Camiguin. We stayed here with our 4 year old, 6 year old and their Grandparents and it was such a delight. The kids enjoyed playing with the dogs and chasing the chickensn and we felt like we treated like we were their most important customes. Thanks to Andrew for setting up the scuba dive in Mantigue and driving us around select spots on the island. Breakfast was included and Jerome even made yogurt for us, which was absolutely satisfying. Look no further, book now!

So even for people who are not too fond of dogs, TRUST ME, you will still enjoy your time here. For dog-lovers though, this is heaven! Overall, we had the most wonderful time here and I HIGHLY recommend this place because here at SomeWhere Else, you will feel like a valued guest.

We had a delicious breakfast, and it is included. The room that we booked for 5 nights was too big for 2 people. There are many stairs inside our unit and can be dangerous, especially at night.

This resort is absolutely amazing and Jerome the host is really caring about his guests (every evening he drove us to a restaurant for dinner and picked us up again). The resort is quiet and relaxed, huge space in the villas, very comfortable and beautiful designed, beds are comfortable, bathroom with rainshower, refrigerator in the room, fast wifi (Starlink!), laptop safe. Breakfast is served in the lounge area of your villa or if you prefer, in the shadow under the palm trees on the beach. Jerome will give you a small cellphone during check in with his number in the contact list, so whenever you need something, just give him a call. If you like to explore the island, Andrew is a great guide and driver to show you around, Really recommend snorkeling at the sunken cemetery, a boat trip to white island and of course scuba diving or snorkeling at Mantigue island. This was one of the best places I have ever stayed - thank you! well, the black sand on the beach instead of a white sand beach? no, to be honest, there is nothing what I don't like and when I read all the reviews before booking, I could not find any negative review - because there is nothing to complain about it!

Jerome is a great guy, keeping the cleaning (and confort) standards of the property very high, being also a great host and briefing us about our visiting options on the island. The fact that he could rent us a car has been also a big plus for us. Overall, the complex has a very pleasant vibe and we felt extremely well here!

The helmets provided were old, smelly, too big and not really safe

La maison est super équipée et le lieu un paradis très bien placé avec petite piscine et plage, le tout super bien entretenu. Le personnel.est adorable, le petit dejeuner servi sur la plage ou dans votre salon extérieur cozy est FABULEUX. Miam les crêpes, les fruits, le pain, les confitures maison et le jus frais entre autres... Quel bonheur d'avoir passé Noël dans une île si sympathique, où les habitants sont contents de vous voir et ne vous prennent pas pour des pigeons. Dernier point et pas des moindres, Nova notre charmante hôtesse a rendu ce séjour absolument exceptionnel, Dès la réservation, elle était en contact pour tout gérer à l'avance, sur place tous les jours elle nous a aidé afin de mettre à profit au mieux nos visites et nos journées. Bref au delà de toutes nos attentes. Le service, la tranquillité du lieu et sa beauté, la classe de la villa, tout, tout, tout me fait conseiller Somewhere à ceux qui auront la chance de visiter Camiguin ! - Gio.filipov (8/5): A beautiful resort - I will start with saying that I cannot give this place less than an 8 because its beautiful and you can tell the owner poured his heart and soul into this place. The property, garden and facilities are top notch. Jerome, the property owner gives you anything you might need during your stay. The villa we stayed in was cool and had a great private area for breakfast. The fact that transportation from the airport is also provided is also a big plus. And the breakfast is good and varied. From reading the past reviews I can now say that the owner and host Jerome was missing during our stay and unfortunately this could be felt in the time we were there. Nova was great and very sweet but when she was not there we felt that there were many times that there was no one to answer questions, explain certain elements of the property or how breakfast worked. Most importantly we felt pushed to take certain tours like the hike up to the volcano which we should have been advised to avoid as it was raining up on the mountain and unsafe. We encountered a situation in which we were hiking up in the mountain for 7 hours up in the pouring rain, where it was slippery and dangerous. There was no view as everything was cloudy but that is not the problem, the issue was that we were told it was ok to go when in reality it was very unsafe and this from a person that has done hiking for many years.

- Melissa (10/5): - This property is a go to if you’re staying on Camigan Island. It is very modern in the inside of the villa as well as spacious. They provide transportation to and from the port, breakfast was delicious and included in the price, and if you don’t feel like going out you can order dinner to be be delivered for a small fee. The property leads directly to the beach/ocean (beautiful views). Right behind each villa is a personal lounge area equipped with couches,etc. there’s a pool on site as well as badminton. It was so serene. The staff was extremely accommodating, so big shout out to Andrew and Nova.

This marvellous place at the beach is one of a kind and went beyond our expectations. We haven't been to a better resort in Camiguin or even the Philippines. The owner of this resort is exceptional if it comes to caring for the guest's happiness and their experience on Camiguin Island. The cottages are great, somehow a piece of art, nonetheless well thought-out. This is shown in details like the outside shower or a flash light to wander around in the nice gardens of the resort or island pathways at night. Besides, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is modern and very spacious, the outside lounge area is great and the "minibar" is very well equipped. Besides the beach there is a pool as well. And last but not least, their breakfast is delicious and beautifully arranged.

They take care every single bits of your daily needs. The rooms are big and beautifully designed, love it to every bit details they put. You dont need to buy water since they put the water dispenser at the room, coffee, tea at your choice for free. Super super love with their services. We got 2 rooms since we are 6 in the family, we are dog lovers, so this an adding points for us. Jerome told us the story how he rescued the dogs, amazing guy with a golden heart. Btw you can eat breakfast at anytime, they will prepare it once you are ready for it, unlike in other resorts, they have the limited time. This is an adding points if you are late riser. In our case, we need to go early since we have the sea activities, so we requested them to prepare it early and no huss at all. What I love the most was, the privacy, only 3 villas, so if you need to unwind and just relax with your family and loved ones, this is the best place to be. Looking forward for our next visit here.
