• Brand (10/5): Very relaxing Spa expirience in an old castle. We loved it - Very calm, relaxing. The staff is exceptionally nice! The breakfast menu could be a little bigger or maybe even paid dishes like english breakfast with sausages or eggs and bacon. Otherwise all was excellent!

Breakfast coffee was great, and spa provided amenities also A bit overpriced for what it offers. The breakfast was a bit too limited for the price, for instance the bread offer was very reduced, it wasnt even fresh bread. There was the possibility to make fresh fruit juices but you had to prepare it yourself, as in , peel and cut the fruit/veggies, which is ok but i found a bit odd for the price we paid

• Adriana (5/5): - Sono rimasto deluso dalla mia esperienza in questa spa. Il personale si è dimostrato fin da subito invadente.Non mi sono sentito a mio agio. Inoltre, l’organizzazione appariva poco curata: gli ambienti erano trascurati, con un’aria poco rilassante. Ciò che mi ha veramente dato fastidio è stata la puzza di fumo nel corridoio: è inaccettabile in un centro benessere, dove ci si va proprio per distendersi e sentirsi coccolati. L’odore persistente rendeva l’atmosfera tutt’altro che rilassante.
• Noaz Harel (9/5): - beautiful villa at the edge of town. the facilities are very good the room is spacious and the bed big and comfortable. tha spa is also very good luckly we were only two couples if there were more it could be a bit akward because its small and very intimate. break fast was also good although not great the best feature is the self service juice grinder. the parking is a way of from reception and there is also a flight of stairs you need to carry the suit case . after wards i found that there is a way throught the restaurant there is no proper sign for this. maintenance ok the button to the toilet was jammed. and on 8 oclock in the morning bellow our window they had to work with leaf blower that is really annoying when you go out of the way for some peace and quite. and wify is resly bad also phone reception

• Andreas (4/5): Remote renovated country house with unfriendly staff and small costly spa - A truly remote but beautifully renovated country house, albeit less spacious than the advertising photos. Apart from one male employee, the staff is sparse and unfriendly. The breakfast is meager and of average quality at best, with old fruit and vegetables and discount cheese and ham. The small spa can only be used for two hours for €45 per guest. Not a place to spend much time.

• Patrizia (4/5): - Nice historical building with convenient parking and a peaceful outdoor area. I booked a superior room filtering specifically for it to have accessibility features. Upon arrival, we were given a room where the bed could only be reached by uncomfortable stairs to an upper floor. This was not shown in the listing photos, and it affected our stay. What made the situation worse was the management’s attitude. They were unprofessional, not transparent, and refused to acknowledge the problem. Mistakes can happen, but the way they handled it - by denying responsibility - was disappointing and unacceptable. Thankfully, Booking’s customer service fully supported us and recognized the issue.

• Bijan (10/5): - SPA ist super, hatte noch nie so eine tolle Massage von einem Physiotherapeuten, die Betten waren groß und sehr bequem, das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag mit Liebe gereinigt. Jeden Tag kam ein Koch mit frischen Zutaten, nahm die Kräuter aus dem Kräutergarten dazu und hat alle Speisen frisch zubereitet, handmade Pasta 😋Der Aussenpool ist optimal, die ganze Parkanlage sehr gepflegt. Das Personal versucht jeden individuellen Wunsch zu erfüllen. Im Dorf Viano gibt es zusätzliche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, eine Fahrradstrecke führt direkt am Haus vorbei…, ich habe noch nie Urlaub in so einem Paradies verbracht… Giulia war so engagiert und großartig. Tagesausflüge nach Modena, Parma und Reggio Emilia sind einfach einzubauen. Beste Note für Borgo Cadonega 😍

We would have appreciated the option to order drinks at the pool without having to go to reception (not ideal when dripping wet in swimwear!). Le petit déjeuner était très bien, de plus un extracteur de jus bien apprécié. Bref envie d'y retourner. La chambre "Pigionnaia" est très bien, mais l’équipement est un peu hétéroclite (un lit rond année 1970, pas de vrai bureau etc.) Je pense qu'avec un coin séjour et un vrai bureau cette chambre y gagnerait en attractivité.

The taglierino with black summer truffle and parmesan cream. There are only two minor things that can be improved; please change the mattress cover to one not containing plastic. It’s way too hot!! Also the wine list. Gladly a lot bigger selection of wines from Emilia-Romagna.

• Luca (2/5): - L'unico aspetto soddisfacente della camera è stata la dimensione. L'unico aspetto rilevante della colazione è stata la possibilità di utilizzare un estrattore di frutta/verdura. La spesa è stata esagerata in relazione ai servizi offerti, di una qualità decisamente modesta. Abbiamo avuto un disguido con la macchina a noleggio e abbiamo dovuto attendere circa due ore per l'arrivo di carro attrezzi e taxi: non ci è stato fornito se non il numero di un tassista e solo dopo più di mezz'ora ci hanno aperto una saletta che tuttavia aveva una televisione con problemi di ricezione dei canali (faccio presente che anche in camera la tv non funzionava). Nemmeno un caffè offerto nell'attesa. La cena tutto sommato modesta (una portata è stata servita in modo differente da come era stata proposta e scelta in fase di ordinazione), la colazione con cornetti scongelati e torte piuttosto secche.

The AC was barely blowing cold air even after setting it to the lowest temperature. The breakfast was mediocre and we weren't allowed to take it to the garden tables. The floor was squeaky.

• Agnese (7/5): Weekend romantico - Struttura immersa nel verde, ben ristrutturata e suggestiva. Abbiamo preso la camera all'ultimo piano su due livelli. Veramente bella e romantica con il letto a baldacchino e la vasca rotonda! Abbiamo provato anche la SPA. Piccola e accogliente, molto rilassante e pulita. L'unico aspetto negativo della camera (ma sicuramente risolvibile) è stato che non funzionava il termoarredo in bagno (e se usi la SPA è fondamentale per asciugare i costumi da bagno). Inoltre anche la pressione della caldaia non era sufficiente per far uscire l'acqua bella calda nella vasca (ora che si riempie è fredda) e per far funzionare al meglio il soffione della doccia. Sconsigliamo il ristorante. Caro e non all'altezza della struttura. Abbiamo ordinato lo gnocco fritto (immangiabile, erano secchi e troppo cotti) con i salumi (buoni). Abbiamo preso i ravioli di magro (pasta spessa, dura e ripieno senza sapore). Ci siamo rimasti male, anche perché nel reggiano si mangia benissimo di solito!!! Peccato!

Ascensore guasto. Pulsanti per la cascata in piscina e nella spa non funzionano. Il massaggio di coppia non è stato fatto perché mancava un massaggiatore. Nel menu mancavano 3 piatti su 25 per 3 giorni. spiegazioni incomplete. Mancanza di acqua in piscina per più di 4 ore.

Das Frühstück war nicht angemessen. Edamer- und Emmentaler-Scheiben, sowie Kochschinken und Standard Salami, in einer Region die für Schinken und Käse berühmt ist, lassen einen etwas sprachlos werden. Die Croissants waren aber sehr gut. Im Dampfbad, sowie im Whirlpool gibt es eine Bademützenpflicht, ein Anachronismus. Die Sauna ist textil.

• Eran (10/5): Spectacular place to stay right in the heart of Emilia-Romagna - the location is superb, right in the heart of the wine region and within reasonable driving distance from all major nearby citifies (Bologna, Parma, Modena, ...). The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and large. The 90 min we got in the spa was a nice surprise. Breakfast (included) was ok but not stellar. We could have used a bigger variety of fresh vegetables and fruits.

• Antje (8/5): Gepflegtes altes Borgo sehr ruhig aber auch sehr abgelegen - Das Personal war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren geräumig. Das Frühstück war für italienische Verhältnisse sehr gut. Das Anwesen war gepflegt. Das Restaurant war sehr gut. Das Borgo war sehr abgelegen… man musste 30 Kilometer bis Modena fahren und es ging immer über etliche Kilometer über eine sehr schmale Landstraße, wenn man wohin wollte. Das Anwesen liegt in einem großen Garten mit vielen Bäumen. Sehr schön, aber leider gibt es auch sehr viele Mücken.
• Daria (7/5): Sehr gute Lage und ein ausgezeichnetes Frühstück - Die Lage und das Frühstück sind sehr gut. Hier findet jeder was zum frühstücken egal ob Herzhaft oder Süß. Der Spa Bereich ist ganz in Ordnung kann aber immer nur 90 Minuten lang genutzt werden. Auch das Restaurant ist besonders empfehlenswert. Einem Teil des Personals fehlt es an Motivation für ihren Job. Wir hatten gefragt, wo wir Sonntags Mittagessen gehen können in Ort, die Empfehlungen der Dame hatten beide kein Mittagessen und wir mussten wo anderes hinfahren. Als wir nach Adaptern gefragt haben wurden wir einfach vergessen, wir warten heute noch das die Dame kommt und uns die Adapter bringt. Steckdosen gibt es nicht genug im Zimmer und nicht unbedingt kompatibel mit deutschen Stecker.

• Johannes (5/5): - We enjoyed the pool and the fact that it was very close to the wedding. The room was also nice. The breakfast was really poor and the service there. The system for booking the spa seamed rigid. The spa missed something. And in general the price was too high.

• Heike (8/5): Charmantes Borgo in schöner Lage - Schönes stilvolles Zimmer, gutes Bett, charmantes Anwesen. Das Abendessen im hoteleigenen Restaurant war angesichts des Preises dann doch etwas zu knapp bemessen in den Portionen, Frühstück war auch etwas spartanisch.
