You could really see the effort the staff put into creating a warm and welcoming environment for families. And staff Stella is so friendly and kind！ What I appreciated most was how relaxed everything felt. It wasn’t overly structured or overwhelming—just the right balance that allowed both kids and parents to enjoy the experience. Our child had such a great time that leaving the hotel was actually the hardest part. Overall, a lovely stay, and we would definitely come back again.
- Seaside34122481340 (6/5): Paid for a Pool Villa, Couldn't Use the Pool - Stayed: April 17–19, 2026 | Room: Sea View Pool Duplex Villa | Travel Type: Couple My wife and I booked the Sea View Pool Duplex Villa at Angsana Zhuhai Phoenix Bay for one reason and one reason only, the private pool. We are long-time Banyan Tree guests, having stayed at properties in Phuket, Bangkok, and Macau over the past decade. We trusted the brand. That trust was misplaced. The pool was ice cold and completely unusable for the entirety of our stay. When we raised this with staff, we were told the heater is switched off at night due to noise. Fine, except the water never reached a swimmable temperature during the day either, despite repeated complaints. So what exactly are you paying the premium for? A decorative water feature? When we followed up formally with management, the response was a nominal discount that frankly felt insulting. No meaningful effort to make things right. If you advertise a private pool as the centrepiece of a villa category and charge accordingly, it needs to actually work. Full stop. Beyond the pool debacle, the property needs to be judged with clear eyes. By mainland China standards, this may pass as a five-star hotel. By Hong Kong or international standards, it is nowhere close. The finishes, the service standards, the overall feel, it is a mid-tier property wearing a luxury badge. The food reinforced this impression. Perfectly acceptable for a mid-range hotel, but nothing that would justify the rates or the brand name attached to it. If you have dined at any genuine five-star property in Hong Kong, Macau, or Southeast Asia, you will find the offerings here forgettable. Staff were friendly enough but English-speaking ability was poor, which made communicating our concerns more difficult than it should have been at a property operating under an international luxury brand. We have stayed at competitors like Ayana in Bali more recently and the gap in quality, service, and value is stark. The Banyan Tree name used to mean something to us. After this experience and the dismissive response to a legitimate complaint, we will think very carefully before booking any property in this group again. If the private pool matters to you, and presumably it does if you are paying for a pool villa, book elsewhere until they sort out their heating situation. You are paying five-star villa prices for a cold plunge pool you never asked for.

The view from my room is very beautiful, feels like I was in Bali. The check-in was badly managed and I did not get a room until almost 6pm. From my arrival at 3pm to 6pm, it was total chaos in the lobby! There were so many angry guests in the lobby and it was totally out of managed.

- Pok Wah (8/5): It is a very nice hotel for a short stay in Zhuhai. - The location of the hotel is excellent with a fantasic view of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macau Bridge and the Zhuhai Opera House. The Sea View room is spacious with 2 basins in the bathroom so there is no need to wait too long for using the basins if there are more than 2 people staying in the room. The staffs in the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Some facilities in the hotel room are getting old. For example, the basin drains in the room are always leaking despite being fully plugged. The TV remote sometimes malfunctions and becomes out of control (?Running out of battery). I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and the key to my room didn't work on the second night of my stay and I needed to go to the reception to rectify the problem.

- Venture522506 (10/5): Weekend stay at Angsana Zhuhai Phoenix Bay - My family and I stayed at Angsana Zhuhai Phoenix Bay. From the moment we arrived, the staff made our stay exceptional. Kim at reception set the tone right away — incredibly helpful, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. It’s rare to feel that well looked after the second you walk through the door, but he managed it effortlessly. Breakfast was another highlight. The buffet itself was great, but what really stood out was Bill in the restaurant. He was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. It’s clear he takes pride in making guests feel comfortable. Overall, the service from both Kim and Bill made my stay feel personal and memorable. A wonderful hotel with truly outstanding staff.

- 772fredy (8/5): Good to stay for one night - I stayed with my friends for two nights in a seaview room in October, the first impression was very spacious, at the receiption area, and so as my room. The room is clean and the balcony facing the Phoenix bay (I guess) , the sound of the waves was relaxing. I like it very much. The bath room and toliet were clean, only the ventilation in the shower room could be improved, or suggest to keep showroom door open after used. Plenty of varieties in the buffet breakfast, and I highly recommend the Thai restaurant in the hotel, the oysters, crab, and raw prawns we loved them. They have live music during the weekends, the drinks were good, it would be better if have more cocktail options. The coffee at the lobby coffe shop '糖水舖' was a bit blend. The pool is very big and deep enough for swimming, and the beach is not allowed to swim. The gym is clean and provided with towels, too bad they don't have a steam or sauna. And the hotel spa was under adjustment during my stay. But you can book the spa at Banyan Tree. There is an elevator connected to the Banyan Tree (opened in Nov.), you can find more food choice (restaurant, cake, and pastries (although the pastries were sold out in the afternoon).

- Dario (4/5): Beautiful structure but mediocre service - The rooms are very nice, the beds are comfortable, and the entire hotel is clea. The breakfast is fantastic. Everything else is mediocre or bad. The website lists 3 restaurants but two were closed when I stayed, which made it challenging because there is nothing in walkable distance. The only one open was the fancy Asian food place which is ridiculously expensive for the area and the food is awful. They claim to offer room service but the WeChat code doesn’t work. There is a big pool but there are about 10 chairs and they are located in the water, in the shallow part. The beach setting is nice but the water is brown and swimming is not allowed. I had a reservation for 4 nights, but at the check out their records showed that I was supposed to stay 3 more nights and that I arrived the night before my arrival (which is not possible since I was in a different town). However, the bill was correct but they did not provide an invoice since the dates did not match. They don't respond to the chat in the Booking app, but they finally responsed by email and provided the receipt.

The room was generously sized, featuring elegant Lingnan-inspired architecture with modern artistic elements that created a perfect blend of traditional charm and contemporary luxury. The Twin beds in our room was comfortable with premium linens, a marble bathroom with separate shower and circular bathtub, dual vanities, private bathroom. The highlight was undoubtedly the private soaking pool located on the patio. The water temperature was adjustible for relaxing soaks both day and night . The interior design reflected a sophisticated island style with hardwood floors, tasteful furniture, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows that embedded the charming sea view into the living space . The housekeeping team maintained our room impeccably, with evening turn-down service that included lighting essential oil burners to create a soothing atmosphere . This resort stands out as one of Zhuhai's best accommodation options. I highly recommend it.

The staff were very attentive and explained well, despite the difficulty to converse in English. Worth the money and time. Definitely would go again.

The staff don’t speak English, barring one. This made communication channelling. The rooms don’t really have sea view, particularly those with a small pool inside. It shouldn’t be sold as having a sea view. While some of the staff were kind and nice, some just weren’t. Completely oblivious of guests needs and borderline arrogant. Won’t visit again but was okay for a single trip.

There are tropical gardens surround the property and the hotel offers a peaceful retreat that feels like a hidden paradise. We are disappointed regarding our recent stay at the hotel. We were looking forward to the welcome fruit arrangement that was promised, but unfortunately, it was not provided even when we left the hotel. Furthermore, we have asked to arrange at a non-smoking floor. But the bedding is full of smells of cigarettes.

Basically you are not necessary to plan the trip, it is genuinely hassle free as you can enjoy ur food, and have a great sleep in here.

The receptionist couldn't speak English although this is a 5-star resort. If you can't speak Chinese, you may feel like me. We booked the room with a small outside bathtub, but the bathtub was not clean after I checked in. I asked why they didn't clean, they said verbally that they would clean when the guest requested to use it. It's nonsense when I booked this room because of this special pool. And the water for it wasn't hot enough to enjoy for more than 15 minutes. You must consider if you expect this like a hot spring bath. We asked for a wine opener and we had to wait for more than 30 minutes. Every time I called to ask, they all said on the way. This 5-star resort cannot be compared to the others because of its low standards. I won't return for sure.

I have stayed in many hotels in Zhuhai, and this one should be one of the best in terms of software and hardware. The only drawback is that the service attitude of the front desk staff and telephone customer service staff is very mechanical. All answers are standardized, and there is no enthusiasm for solving problems for you. For example, I am a platinum member of AccorHotels and I asked for a late check-out. Before I could finish my words, she responded quickly. Because the room was tight tomorrow, we could only check out at 2 o'clock. I wanted to communicate with her if she could postpone it a little longer, but she directly She said that it has been arranged for you until two o'clock, but she didn't even check the computer to see if it could meet the member's request. I would like to express that although the package booked on the hotel’s official website is more favorable in terms of price and additional benefits, I still book a room on Accor’s official website as a member because I hope to reflect the benefits of being a member. We spent a weekend here on a business trip. We wanted nothing better for ourselves. Responsive staff. The buffet breakfast kept you coming back for more with food from all cultures . The resort was beautiful , lush , killer view across the bay , the staff were next level . Their service amazing . Love the attention to detail in the rooms with choice of pillow , aromas, room service etc . I had an amazing massage in the beautiful Day Spa . The only thing we could fault is currently there is a major addition being added in to the resort so some loud building noises but that will be a temporary issue .

The food served in the "Rice Bowl" at the 5th floor is good but those served in the 1st Floor cafe was very poor. I had to look for restaurants outside because I didn't want to dine in the same restaurant at the 5th Floor for all 4 days.
