Staff adf keep the area around the pool clean. The two ladies in th front desk/receptionist are nott welcoming. Doesn't eveb smile. The location of our room is so bad. It's across the dining area.

• Arleen (7/5): The staff are nice, the place is ok except for the construction being done which blocks our access to the beach. - The staff were accommodating and nice. The pool is heated. I expected a beachfront place but I was not informed that there is a construction ongoing in front of the hotel which is inconvenient for the senior citizens o brought along. There was no Wi-Fi also

• Ellaine (10/5): Perfect place in Baler - This place perfect for our group. We had originally booked another accommodation which was not to our liking, but thankfully Playa Azul was only walking distance from this and had been what everyone in our group was looking for. The rooms were spacious with balconies and breakfast was included each morning. We greatly enjoyed the use of the pool and the sea was just 5 steps away from the entrance. This place was also walking distance to numerous bars and restaurants and there would also be street vendors every night where we were able to eat authentic Filipino street foods and bbq. Overall, the rooms, locations and staff were great and couldn't have asked for a better place for our group.
• Kokoy (3/5): Uncomfortable stay due to noisy airconditioner - Room is spacious, has all the basic necessities. Staff are friendly. Wifi is secure. TV has lots of channels and apps. The airconditioner ruined our stay. It was noisy and uncomfortable because the fan/blower could not be turned off. It could only be switched to low mode but even in low fan mode and with the thermostat set at the highest temperature possible, the airconditioner would still blow uncomfortably cold air into the room that we had to cover our faces when sleeping. After the long drive to get to the hotel, one expected to be able to rest and sleep well. Because of the noise and the cold draft from the aircon, none of us enjoyed a good night sleep in the duration of our stay. In my opinion the property is overpriced (but so are most hotels in the area). The rate during our stay was comparable to a three-star hotel in Boracay but the amenities were not on par. Also for the price, hotels in other resort towns or islands offer buffet breakfast. Property does not respond to messages on booking.com.
• Cherrie (9/5): I have no further complains. I hope they could - The location is perfect right in front of the beach and so many nearby restaurants if you wish to eat outside. But Playa Azul's food is so good that we didn't bother eating out. I love their free breakfast, it's not oily/greasy. Just the right amount of how the good breakfast should be. Their staffs are very accomodating ang attentive to our needs. We requested to be transferred to a different room because the first we had kinda stinks or there's a foul smell coming through the drainage pipe from the hole of the CR. We were transferred immediately to another room. There's a chance to get very loud and noisy outside as the street becomes very busy specially at night.
• Jennifer (7/5): Good - Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Good location, very near the beach, but quite far from the main area where the restaurants and activities are. Amenities are as listed. Hotel is always clean. Restaurant food was quite subpar for its value. Hotel has high potential to be elevated towards a better standard given staff training, and improvements in their menu.

• Joselito (4/5): Not a very good and ideal stay, bit disappointing as it didn’t meet my expectations. - Fried rice is so soft. Didn’t get the room that I booked, no one told me until I discovered it myself and approached the receptionist. They gave me a refund though. There is less water coming from the sink faucet and shower, no hot water or either too hot or too cold but most of the time nothing at all. It was only sorted on our second night. Not an ideal check in and check out. No one help with the luggage, no one showed us the room, it’s like a do it yourself check in and check out. Reception closes at 10 pm, phone is off . There is one man by the gate and doesn’t know anything about the hotel as I need an iron that night. We stayed 2 nights 3 days and no one tidied up the room not even once. Requested for a beach towel on our last day and gave us a bath towel instead.
• Tomasita (3/5): The rooms look good but the air conditioner, internet, electrical outlets and water supply should be improved. - It’s close to the beach. I booked four rooms for our family vacation and there were problems in the rooms where we stayed. In room 310, the water kettle was dirty and the bathroom floor was slippery. There was water interruption and the air conditioner stopped working in room 312. In room 313 electrical outlets were not working and there was no internet connection.

• Jennifer (4/5): Overall, this was a pretty disappointing stay. I would recommend looking at other resorts or hotels - The only good thing about this hotel was its location. It’s right across from Sabang Beach, which is perfect if you want easy access to the beach. •Customer Service Was a Letdown: The staff didn’t seem to care much about us, even though we were the only guests that day. We were told to dial “0” for any assistance, but the phone in our room didn’t work at all. When we needed something, there was no one around to help. •Damp Bed Sheets: This was honestly one of the worst parts. When we checked into our room, the bed sheets felt damp and uncomfortable. Not a great start to the stay. •Missing Toiletries: The hotel didn’t provide everything you’d expect, some basic toiletries were just missing. I had to ask for the toiletries that is missing. •Clogged Sink: The bathroom sink was clogged and we had to be careful and use it lightly so it will not overflow. •Key Card Problems: We had issues with the room key card. It needed to be programmed to work with the door, but even after that, it was a struggle to get it to open. •Power Outage: There was a power outage during our stay, and not once did the staff acknowledge it or let us know what was happening. It just felt like we were left in the dark (literally). •Unattentive Staff: The staff seemed to disappear into a private room behind the front desk, and we barely saw them, even though we were the only guests. It felt like they just didn’t want to bother with us. The hotel’s website photos made the place look much nicer than it actually was. In reality, it felt very basic, nothing like the luxurious experience we were expecting.

Good location for surfing. . Thank you for the kind staff who assisted and gave his staff card to us to get in and out of the room . Sorry I forgot his name As there was no lift. I suggest having a customer service phone on the 3rd floor would be ideal. My card didn't work twice, so I have to go down to reception twice.

No maintenance so hotel is in decay. Breakfast was included but very limited. 2 small pancakes, or 2 eggs with french bread, or rice with hotdog. So very limited and 1st time breakfast eggs were cold omelets.

Pictures look beautiful but disappointing in person. did not have hot water and there was no holder for your shampoo and conditioner. There’s a fridge but it was not plugged it so it has foul smell😔

• Yasmine (6/5): It's not for family stay. We could've just stayed in another resort. - Our room (premium) faces the beach and we woke up looking at the views from our balcony. The room is big enough for my 3 kids. The breakfast they served was delicious. The housekeeping staff were all punctual and amazing. The pool was not filled with water. A week before we arrived, there was a typhoon; hence, there was no electricity when we checked in (the generator was only open at 12 nn). However, the other hotels managed to fill up their pools. We couldn't swim on the beach because the current was strong for my kids, so we were expecting at least to swim in the pool. But because it was close, we didn't do much during our 2-night stay. I don't think we will return here anymore. The reception staff were quite unhelpful, there were instances that they seemed so unbothered, given that we arrived at 7 AM and we did not have any place to stay, they did not even offer an extra room (which we were willing to pay, which later on, I suggested we do). The temporary extra room we got from 7 am to 12 nn (just so we could have a place to stay as our room was not available for early check-in) has no electricity so we paid extra 1 room at no discounted price, for just the bed and no AC. Too much hassle for my 3 kids. I don't think I will return to Baler anymore. Of all our travel, this was the worst.
• A (9/5): Great choice - The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable, and the linens are clean. I would say that the furnitures provided in the room are adequate for the guest's needs for a stay in a beach area. The personnel are very polite, helpful and always smiling. I love the look of the public spaces of the hotel, as well- sleek, modern and clean. Overall, the hotel is of a good size, clean and reasonably priced. Perhaps, they could improve on the breakfast food, make it more tasty and appetizing.

• Christine (8/5): We will stay here again! - We went in the off season so it was really quiet. The location is beachfront so we can get in on the action really quickly if we wanted. There was a convenience store nearby and a lot of local and street food options. The staff are formal when giving instructions but are friendly and approachable. The pool was newly renovated and is kept very clean! We had the best time swimming. Amenities are as expected, the tv has cable channels but remote controls can do with some battery replacement. The breakfast was alright, it was freshly made which is much appreciated. The room is very clean, beds are comfortable and the shower was easily managed! My family had a really good overnight stay. We came as a family of four and we booked the room with the two double beds but we were only given one key. I guess this is the SOP but maybe in the future they could give more copies to the guests or even keep a masterkey for the room, maybe they are thinking of security purposes but it was quite inconvenient to us. We had to ask one of the staff to help us and he had to go through the balcony ninja style and open it from the inside just because our parents decided to go on a little date without us haha

• John (8/5): Nice hotel m, great location. - The location was amazing, just 10mtrs from the beach. No blackout blinds in the room. No wardrobe to hang up your clothes. No mirror in main room where lighting was good on in bathroom where lighting was poor. Lost water pressure after 1 day and they came to fix it but just left doing nothing.
