• Jason (10/5): Ikram is the GOAT - Ikram is a life saver! My original accommodation waited for me to board my evening flight to the Maldives (1/3/2026) and canceled on me due to the situation in Iran (28/2/2026) as none of their current guests are able to leave so there was no availability for me. When I landed, Ikram was able to confirm my booking and arranged my speedboat transfer to Thulusdhoo and even ordered dinner for me as I would be arriving after everything has closed. All of this happened within an hour of landing and boarding the last and final speedboat to Thulusdhoo. During my stay, he has been the most amazing and helpful person ever (even when I got food poisoning and was out of commission for the majority of my stay). Anything you need from excursions, food, guides, recommendations, he's got your back. Never 40+ countries I've been too, I've been this pampered. Thank you so much Ikram!!! But speaking of the property, it's located right on Bikini beach. You open the door and it's the beach. Breakfast changed every day and if you're lucky you get Maldivian breakfast (super yummy). Be warned, everything is island time. I wish there was hand soap in the bathroom, and the bed is a bit too hard (and I like firm mattresses)

It overlooks the island's surf spot, making a spot check very easy if you’re a surfer. Ikram goes the extra mile to make you feel at home. It is right on the beach, it is a budget accommodation so expect budget facilities. You can’t flush the toilet paper.

What truly made our stay was the host Ikram, who helped us with everything we needed. He booked transfer for us to and from the island, and he got us in touch with a great company for amazing excursions like snorkelling, surfing and so much more. Ikram also recommended us great places to eat and see on the island, and answered all our questions. This made the whole trip go so seamlessly. The Surf Deck and Ikram truly made our stay in Thulusdhoo the best it could have been, and we cannot recommend this place enough!

Also, it's a quieter corner of the beachside in Thulusdhoo. Make sure that you get the proper hotel registration upon arrival in Maldives to avoid issues. In all we had a wonderful time, and were sad to leave early.

Not really a Minus, but the Rooms are not very modern, a bit of Colour or Art would help - but since you're only gonna be in there to sleep, absolutely adequate and everything you need. Also has warm Water to shower, and if you want so, you can get a Hairdryer from the Reception. Since its not isolated you can hear People talk in the Evenings but also hear the Wind and the Sea - a big Plus again ;)

• Jennifer (9/5): Great location and host - I stayed with my husband, and we had a wonderful time. The location is one of the best in Thulushdoo, as the bikini beach is right in front of the hotel. Additionally, there is a local restaurant next to the hotel that serves amazing food. A big thanks to Ikram for his help since the beginning, before we arrived at the hotel. He organised everything to pick us up from the port and was incredibly kind and supportive, providing us with all the information we needed about tours and recommendations for things to do on the island, even he kept in touch with us to ensure we made it back home safely. 💜

• Carolina (10/5): Friendly, simple Guesthouse - Ikram is a very good host, friendly and helpful. It was a very pleasant stay from the moment we arrived on the island until we left. The location is great, from the room it is only a few metres to the beach/sea, also to the surfing spot and many restaurants. Very clean, hot and cold drinking water available all the time, good breakfast.
• Per (6/5): Right on the beach, needs restauration. - Very nicely situated right on the beach, pleasant personnel, very good Maldivian breakfast. Worn down hotel and rooms, bed hard as wood, thin curtains, I caught a cold at night, there was no blanket and needed the AC on. A bit steep in price even for a budget alternative.

• Holly (10/5): Exceptional - Staff is so friendly and the meals were AMAZING! Our power went out from a storm that rolled through. We text and they came right away in the middle of the night to fix it for us. Great location right on their own beach. Very calm vibe, felt safe the whole time, hot water and food, what else could you want? Transfers from speedboat to the room was right on time. Would definitely stay here again. Snorkeling right in front of the room and getting to watch the surfers. The room is very basic and not very spacious but was perfect for 2 adults. Sink was leaking but didn't bother us

• Mafalda (8/5): Humble and modest accommodation, but an amazing host - Ikram is the best host you can get. He is kind, very professional and has a good heart. I cannot thank him enough, he made our stay better. Another very positive aspect was the fact that they reimbursed us for one night, since, due to bad weather conditions, we were unable to reach the island on the scheduled day. The breakfast combo is very good, delicious food and in sufficient quantities. Our room had a musty smell. One night, we found small cockroaches in the bathroom, but we know it’s a common thing in these countries and could handle it perfectly. At the time of our stay, an international surfing event was taking place right in front of the hostel, which prevented access to the beach in this area.

Ikraam was the best most pleasant natured host I have ever met in my travels - truly exceptional guy! Cockroaches 🪳 in room , unsealed wall windows let mosquitoes in , bed mattress was a bit hard , washroom toilet shower lacked aesthetic appeal water pressure and heat temp control. Lack of aesthetic wall art 🖼️ in bedroom . General decoration for a beach house could be sooooo much better .
• Duncan (9/5): Superb - If you're here to surf then the location and setup are unbeatable. Surf racks and showers in front of the hotel, one minute walk from Coke's break. Ikram the manager is excellent, very attentive and even helped me organize a dive trip. And the Maldivian breakfast is a nice bonus.

You can walk in a swimming suit/bikini straight from your room to the water and all the way to the bikini beach. Nice porch outside of the room. Next to a good and affordable beach bar with tasty food. Close to restaurants. The room is clean, simple, has a fan and air con. Ikram, a very friendly member of staff, was there whenever we needed any help with stuff like renting surf boards etc. Great for the price, so there is nothing to complain about :)

• Brendan (10/5): Great location , great breakfast and GREAT hospitality.. - This place is right in front of the beach and directly in front of Cokes surf break . The breakfast was delicious and it has everything you need . The best part of this property is Ikram. He is a great host and makes sure you have everything you need . He sends a car to pick you up and drop you off at the Ferry . He also checks on you and makes sure everything is fine . I would stay here just because he is working here . He also is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to local spots to eat . He is a blessing to Surf Deck and just overall a great person !!
