Guest Reviews
- Alexis (2/5): Stay away!!! - It’s not even a hotel anymore. No check in no one to talk to at all. The resident had to let us know that it wasn’t a hotel anymore and now for section 8
- Fredonna (2/5): Do. Not. Stay. Here. - This was, hands-down, the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It was like a staying in an old asylum. It was smelly and dirty and run down. There was a piece of dog poo in the hallway. There were stains and burn holes in the sheets, so I slept on top of the blanket. There was a hole in the bathroom ceiling and another under the sink, and I saw a roach. I kept telling myself it was only for one night and it was so cheap, and I could handle it for just one night, but it ended up being so stressful that it would’ve been better to just sleep in my car.
- Rachel (2/5): - We did NOT stay at these accommodations. This is not a professional business. The office looked like a pig lived there and was run by some college kid who looks like he never sleeps. The whole building was unclean and had gashes in the walls. The "hotel room" is clearly for people who want a One-Night Stand in an apocalyptic setting. Stains everywhere, a sheet was STAPLED over the window. Towels provided were the size of hand towels and were DAMP, and the king bed was actually two twins pushed together. Place had old green carpet (also with stains) and the whole place was very dark. Oh, and there was ceiling caving in in the bathroom. It looked NOTHING like the photo that was provided for us. We disputed the charge and left. DO NOT STAY here unless your definition of cozy is an asylum.
- Jason (4/5): BEWARE! NASTY AT A WHOLE NEW LEVEL - Parking was horrible, icy and almost fell getting out of my car to check-in, building was sketchy looking when I pulled up and saw it. Once I got checked into the room, the room was awful, a full sized bed with very flat pillows, only one blanket, the wall unit wouldn’t even heat the room (set on 86 the highest it would go), the bathroom was gross and hadn’t been cleaned it looked in weeks, the curtains didn’t even cover the window in the bedroom, and I could go on but you get the point. You definitely pay for what you get. I didn’t cancel my reservation because they don’t refund! So heads up folks!
- Susan (2/5): - There was no sign outside, no lights, no one at front desk for 10 minutes, and no elevator to 3rd floor ( or at all; it was broken, I was told). On the front desk we’re 2 donut boxes, both of which held one partially eaten donut. To register I had to go into the manager’s office, which was messy: papers all over his desk (and a rusted screwdriver and sharp kitchen knife there as well!); and a person I think was an employee sitting in the only available chair. The handyman said he’d meet me at the outside stair door to let me in nearer my third floor room and did so, but when I had parked my car, gotten my bag, and walked back to that door he was gone. However, it and every inside door leading from the staircase to the room floors was unlocked. The hotel smelled strongly of cigarette smoke everywhere. When I determined that I was extremely uncomfortable with staying there, the manager said he was unable to cancel my reservation and return my fee. I understood that that was because of my having made my reservation through Expedia, who I trusted to only offer decent accommodations. I believe you need to be more thorough in investigating those businesses you offer and would like my money back.
- Amanda (2/5): - The property was nothing like what was pictured on the internet. It was so bad that we didn't even stay!
- Gary (6/5): - The staff were super friendly and very nice. The property could use some better cleaning and better maintenance.
- Thomas j (2/5): - Some sort of converted medical center. Floor wasnt cleaned and just had cigarette butts on the floor, pizza crusts etc. Many roaches were in the room. Seemed to be an actual halfway house.
- Shelly (2/5): Terrible and shady management - The room was absolutely horrible. Dirty fridge, pop spilled on air conditioner and not cleaned, dirty floor and roaches crawling. I was unable to stay even though I booked for a week. The management is shady and did not check me out so they could collect the money anyway. Luckily, Hotel.com fixed it for me.
- Thomas (2/5): Worst hotel ever - Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. It was filthy. The room was falsely advertised. No tv, no microwave, no fridge, no towels, the room was advertised as having a kitchen, there was nothing close to a kitchen.
- Cody (2/5): - This place was terrible. Bugs in the rooms. Rooms was dirty when i checked in. People in and out all night. Overall terrible experience
- Cole (2/5): - The place is terrible there was a used syringe in the toilet the toilet didnt flush the curtains were sheets held on by thumbtacks, no pillow sheets. No towels. T.v had burn marks on screen and no remote, drug addicts walking the halls at all hours. It was the worst hotel iv ever stayed in. Never go here.
- Jerry (2/5): Just don't do it! - I booked this hotel mainly because of the price it really didn't have very many photos of it at the time and what photos they were didn't show anything that would be overly concerning so I went ahead and did it. I stayed there for 3 days and by the third day I was happy to leave. The building looks like it will used to be a dorm and the two front doors are always usually swung wide open so the lobby is always really cold the elevator does not work so you have to climb stairs in order to get to your room. There are signs that say no smoking and yet there is been smoking of all sorts and you can smell it. I woke up one morning and got ready to leave to do what I had to do and there was a hobo sleeping in the building and one of the open areas. The room itself had a decent amount of room but there was very little to it the bed was not that comfortable at all and I know what you're thinking well for the price you know you get what you pay for but this was an understatement. Not to mention there were cockroaches everywhere in the lobby in my room there was not a part of that place that was bug free I would not recommend staying there again spend the extra 5 to 10 dollars a night and stay in a decent hotel and by decent I mean any hotel really other than this particular one. I've been to other Oyo hotels that are nowhere near as bad they're cheap but they're tolerable this one 100% stay away from!!
- Morgan (2/5): I will NEVER stay with OYO, anywhere. - Where to start..
1) As I was arriving, a person was being actively arrested (based on the ramblings of a hotel rep, it seems to have been an employee or their relation)
2) Filled trash bags lined the halls
3) Broken windows in my room
4) Box spring + mattress sitting on the floor
5) It took 2 trips to the front desk before I could get into the room (they seem to lock empty rooms, nightly, to avoid drifters).
6) Elevator is non-functioning
7) The office was heated by a radiant space heater - with wires strewn about the floor
7a) A woman with a baby tripped over the cables but caught herself.
8) The bedding had holes in them
I thought Americas Best Value Inn was bad - this site is SO much worse...
- Timothy (2/5): - It was nasty I left didn’t want to even sit down
- Tom (2/5): Had to leave - Building is an old nursing home. The microwave was filthy and there was no waist basket. Bed seemed ok. Couldn’t turn on the tv because there was no remote. A/c heater was working but it was falling apart. After about an hour I was going to go down to the car and the police were in the hall. They started to question me and ran my license. After they were satisfied that I wasn’t there for prostitution they said that I don’t belong there and should find another place and that the possibility of my car not being broken into was very slim. I went to another place.
- Jose (2/5): Worst experience - This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The rooms smelled like vomit, the restroom was not clean and had build up around the side of the toilet. They claim it come with a kitchen but there was nothing there but a sink. The photos did not match what the rooms actually look like. We couldn't stay in the hotel for more than two hours because of how bad it was. We cut our losses and left.
- Amy (2/5): Scary! Awful! Do NOT stay here! - The "hotel" is a run down old rehab center I believe. It smelled like an ash tray, I was sick with a headache before even checking in. The people were friendly that helped me find a room...and i do mean FIND a room. They had no computer system saying what was available and what wasn't. Once i was shown a room it had broken cabinets, torn gross carpet, bloody stained sheets that i had been told were clean, remote that didn't work, cigarette butts in the window...it was disgusting. the elevator didn't work so I had to take the stairs, passing people that were in hoodies covering their faces in the halls. My son came to my rescue and said he thought it was a bordello. I was scared to be there. I had checked in before it fully sinking in how bad it all was and checked out about 20 minutes later. I was charged for the whole night....I would appreciate my money back. I wish now i had taken pictures as proof of just how terrible this place was. I didn't even know if i was in the right spot except there was a drawn little sign above the entrance "OYO". Oh, and when i got there i had to call a number so the owner could come from wherever they were to check me in. OH....was the worst place I've ever seen...I can't believe it's allowed to be in business.
- Jennifer (4/5): - It wasn't noticeably signed, there was no one inthe front office and the nuber that was available had no answer. When I was finally helped my key didn't work had to find someone again to help me. When we got to the room squatters were occupying the room and had to find me a completely different room. It was a mess and I will not use that specific oyo again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disappointing - During our stay my girlfriend and I had access to two rooms, initially, our first room the shower wouldn't turn on and the heater in the AC/heater unit wouldn't work, it was freezing outside already plus the effects of our attempt to get warm.
When given a second key card to another room, upon entry, trash everywhere, no sheets, pillows, blankets, etc. Bed completely unmade and by the looks of it, someone else was staying in the room too.
- Shawn (2/5): Please Read Before Staying Here - I was kinda scared when the Uber driver dropped me off. I dont think it's just a hotel. It appeared to be half apartments and they must rent out hotel rooms as well. When we pulled up there was a fight going on outside between three people. One guy had his shirt off and appeared to be on something going nuts on two other men. Multiple people outside smoking, drinking and watching it. The Uber driver did not think it was a hotel and said She was going to go inside to check and told me to stay in the car. She said she went inside and no one was at what appeared to be a front desk. She said no one was around and that it smelled like cigarettes and alcohol. She came back to the car and said i think we need to find you a safer place to stay. The pictures online make it appear to be a nice affordable hotel but that was not what the uber driver saw inside or myself from outside. I did not ask for a refund because it says no refunds online. I feel they do this because they can trick people into booking a room based on the professional pictures and a nice description of the place. I could have done a better job researching the place but i was in a hurry and i never imagined a run-down apartment complex would also offer hotel rooms. I dont remember seeing in the online description that the facility was both apartments and hotel rooms in the description. If it was there then i should have known better before booking the room. Live and learn!
- Gary (2/5): - Nice large rooms but no bedding , tv did not work , door locks did not work , office help were always their but they had personal problems.
- Lena (2/5): Worst ever. Absolutely disgusting. - Property was filthy and in disrepair. It took half an hour to be checked in by staff. Trash, discarded clothing and human deification littered the halls and stairwell. Staff was informed why I would not be staying and I was still charged for the reservation
- Marcus (2/5): - Terrible smoke smell. Elevators in-op, stairwell smelled of urine. Bugs on the floor, cabinets all broken and hanging from hinges. No sheets on the bed.
- Marc S. (2/5): - This place is in completely run down condition and definitely not up to code. Downright nasty and smells bad.
- David (2/5): Don’t stay here - So dirty and scary we didn’t check in. Pictures on internet are not even close to what is there
- Phillip (2/5): - It was a old project …..
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible - Horrible smell horrible upkeep unsafe feel
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do better - Place say they have Truck parking, I drive a concrete mixer. Show up after a 11hr drive which is my total allow DOT drive time. They didn't have enough parking space. I call hotel.com they say they can't do anything, I talk to front desk. They say they will cancel and I won't get charge. Next day I get charge for no show. This place is run down. Looks like a old apartment complex that OYO turn into a hotel.
- Erica (2/5): - this was the worst motel room i’ve ever seen. truly a trap house
- Nuku (2/5): Giant Nope. - I ended up not even checking in. The hotel was honestly scary. There were broken windows in rooms, visible from outside, the cars all looked like they had been vandalized, it felt like it might have been nice in the 90s and just was left to fall apart.
- Jason (2/5): - The room had roaches. The sheets were dirty. No towels or trash can in the room. We even asked for them and never received them. I really don’t complain but absolutely the worse room ever.
- Daniel (4/5): - It was not a good stay. I should have checked reviews better. There were no signs out to help find it. GPS was not helpful. The reservation got screwed up. The people I talked to Fri. night tried to be helpful. We were put in a room being remodeled on the 3rd floor with no elevator and I am handicapped. The sheets did not fit the bed. Check-out took too long.
- Mike (2/5): - The property was very dirty and the room was worse. Sheets had burn marks and holes. No blanket. Lots of random foot traffic and late at night. No sense of security. Will not stay again.
- Brenda (2/5): - Room was infested with mice and maintenance would do nothing to help. Would not provide traps or move family to another room.
- Michael (4/5): - I wish I took heed to other reviews. Spend the extra couple of bucks to stay elsewhere. The picture they show of the room is not what you actually get. There were no towels in the room and when asking for some, they had to see if they could find any. Pull out bed had no sheets, dirt and what looked like mouse droppings. Avoid if possible.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - False advertisement. not clean. roach motel. terrible customer service.
- Bryse (2/5): - I did not stay. I walked to the room and walked right back out. Looks nothing like the pictures. Never ever will I stay there.
- Renee (8/5): - Property currently undergoing renovation. Owner was extremely kind and accommodating. Most of the other guests are long term tenants.
- David (4/5): - The room was nothing like the pictures. There were bugs in the tub and hallway. Everything seemed under construction. I didn't feel comfortable and left without staying
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We cancelled and didn’t even stay. The outside was not the best looking, but decided to go in and check it out. The facility was not clean, and smelt like an ashtray. When we walked in and asked to see a room, the room they showed us had smoke coming out when the door opened and we didn’t even go into the room. Definitely not somewhere you want to book!
- Nurgul (4/5): - Place is old and in bad condition, and you can smell the cigarettes other smoke all over the hotel. Customer service is horrible. I would not recommend anyone to stay or book there.
I would say least need improve your customer service hospitality. We were waiting to check in hours, when we checked out they did handle properly.
- Kye (2/5): The Oyo properties are TRASH - I walked in and there are bugs crawling every where and the elevator was broken with broken glass in front of it.nobody came to the front desk to check me inn one answered the phone, so I was forced to find another hotel and Oyo still charged me.the worst experience ever
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Not a great place to stay. Low cost or not, professionalism is priceless
- TANYA (2/5): - They gave us a dirty used room at check. The manager went through the entire place looking for a clean room. The owner told us what room to go to 264 I asked for a key and he said the manager had it. We went back up the stairs and saw the door was left open, no manager around to give us a key. The door would not close, you have to lift it up and push really hard. We was so tired we didn’t even care. I went to take a shower and the water comes out as a trickle. There is no way to shower. It is so dirty, everything is. No was clothes here, I guess cause there is no water to bathe.
- Tara (2/5): - Barely could be considered a motel. Terrible condition. Unsafe to even enter
- Jon (2/5): Sorriest hotel of my lifetime - This place was drug city. A monthly resident with drug heads all outside the main front door. With my family i didnt even risk the walk in to check in. 2 star review is a massive mistake. Will not ever consider this review process from this site again. No refundable but went to another location
- James M (2/5): - Elevator did not work. Room door had a 2 inch hole. Room did not look like picture. A mattress with no headboard, no night stand or lamp, no chairs. Dark and dingy. Didn’t stay the night.
- Agnes (2/5): The worst “motel” ever. - The OYO is a old dorm that they are renovating. However it is not renovated. If you are a woman, I would not stay there, there are very dark areas between the north and south wing. Be prepared to carry your suitcases up 3 flights of stairs, the elevator is not working. We had no mattress pad on our bed nor did we have a blanket. Our keys didn’t work. I would never stay there again…
- Gracie (2/5): - Room was not ready and we paid for it,it was book out
- Geoffrey (2/5): DO NOT BOOK STAY AWAY - This hotel is HORRIBLE! Scary, gross, filthy, the staff is rude, the environment is horrific. Elevator out of order, rooms look NOTHING like what you’re shown here. DONT BOOK!
- Rebecca (2/5): Don't come here ! No lean rooms or towels. - I was promised a refrigerator the first day never got one even thou I asked over and over The first thing that happened thou, was they gave me a key to someone else's room. 😲 So i walked up four flights in a hot stairwell with my arms full of stuff got in the room and someone was in there. I went back down and it took the manager about fifteen minutes to get me another key because she's so scatterbrained thatshecouldnt stay focused on one task She promised me a refrigerator ive been asking everyday still haven't gotten anything but empty promises I've asked for clean towels still haven't got any. The first day icamr in no towels had to go back down three times to ask and called and still didn't get any This morning I had to go to work and was told that I could pay when I got back I don't trust my credit cards on computers in cheap hotels so I use hotels.com but while I was gone my screen on my phone broke I got back here no one was there in the office I tried to figure out how I was going to pay for the room without compromising my card I came to my room and began trying to download the hotels app so i could pay I decided to leave before it got to late to get food for my son who is autistic and doesn't always understand he is non verbal I ran into the maid I tried to explain and when we got downstairs my son touched the button on the PC and she yelled at my son and told him to sit down so I told her not to yell at him and she yelled back with threats I had to call 911
- Maria (2/5): Worst ever - I was there for about 15 minutes got to the room and it was so dirty in the sheets had blood and dirty like was not changed from last person there was food leftover in the fridge the bathroom was dirty not cleaned and the smell don’t even have words.
- Ann (2/5): The Haunted Mansion - Nothing like the pictures on hotel.com. due to road conditions we arrived very late. I kept in close touch with hotel. They sent me a link to pay b4 we got there. Was told they would send room number via text this never happened. When we pulled up it looked like a haunted mansion. Very dark and scary. I went inside no one at desk. There was sign posted to call this number. I did. Recording said number not in service
Felt like Jason or Michael was going to chase us down. Windows facing parking lot covered ghetto style. Oyo gave one night back to us but not second night. This is first time hotel.com website let us down
I kept in constant contact with this location and feel like it was a scam. The roo price was very reasonable but no way did I or my spouse felt safe. If oyo is reading this plz refund our second night to prove u care
- Kim (2/5): - The OYO smelled like feces in the lobby, and when I tried to checkin, I was asked to come back two times. Due to sanitation reasons, I left and checked in to another hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was all right they will work with u
- Jolee Grinstead (2/5): - Cracked nitro in bathroom and no cabinets on the counter.
- Elizabeth (2/5): Don't Stay Here!! - This place is disgusting to say the least. The rooms look liked they are for druggies and homeless. I would not recommend that a family stay here it's close by to a college but this place is so wrong. The Oklahoma department of health and safety should be notified of how rundown this so called hotel is. I have pictures to prove how disgusting this roach infestation place is.
- Garvan (2/5): Meth central dump - I didn’t stay this place was horrible I couldn’t even get any one to check me in. There were broken down cars in the parking lot . One guy was working on his car and was having problems he was kicking his car and yelling and cussing. There were homeless looking people hanging around everywhere I didn’t feel safe so I just left. This place needs to be shut down. I’m goiyto file a complaint with the Oklahoma motel hotel association and the city of Edmond. I can’t believe Edmond always such a dump to operate here. You should send a representative to check this place out. I personally wouldn’t have it on my list of hotels. It looked like every one there was a methhead. I want a refund ! Air conditioning wasn’t working in the lobby probably wasn’t working in the rooms I noticed a a lot of windows open on A100Degree day
- Stacey (2/5): Disgusting. - Roaches actively crawling in room. Elevator broken. My room was on the 3rd floor. Trash piles left in halls. One towel period in bathroom. No soaps, 1/3 roll of toilet paper. Chair upholstery torn up.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This property is rude not the actual staff at hotel they where helpful just the people u contact on phone I was charged for not staying in this hotel when it was recommended for me not to by the staff at front desk and they didn’t even have rooms available that we had booked I still can’t get money back from this company but I have learned I will never stay or recommend this hotel to anyone
- Verified traveler (2/5): No Refund, needs to be condemned - I did not stay- as the minute I walked in I was completely disgusted. Tried to get a refund/or pay more to switch hotels, but Hotels.com said they would not refund me after getting “travel protection”?? The place needs to be condemned, smells like cigarettes, trash everywhere, staff unresponsive. If you don’t want to feel unsafe as a woman in your 20s just stay somewhere else. I would absolutely not bring my family here either.
- Rebecca (10/5): - It was fine. Although I couldn't get the cable to work I had a comfy bed and hot water and great a/c and heat. Thank you!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This hotel should not be opened, mold in the bathroom, no sheets, towels, blankets, someone else’s hair in the bathroom. Bugs in the cabinets. Do not come here to stay, was here less then 30 min
- Alexandra (2/5): - Awful dirty no one at reception
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This is NOT a Hotel. It's a half-way house or assisted living facility. It should not be called a Hotel by any stretch of the Imagination. There were Roaches on my Bed and in the Room. The Pictures you see are specifically for "Bait and Switch". Do not waste your time. Go to an actual Hotel. This place is disgusting. It's like a scene from "Ghosthunters". This was actually a Nursing Home at one point. I was going to tough if out due to a Death in the family. But, I was overwhelmed literally by Roaches ( I have Pictures to back it up!!!).
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This property is completely misleading online vs what it actual looks like. The fact that I had to pay $100.00 for a hotel that has false advertisements online and is deluding is completely unjust.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I liked the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. This place is still being remodeled. We would stay there again and recommend this place to friends or family. Pet friendly and very affordable.
- Yolanda (2/5): - Don't ever rent there.service terrible.building not well lit..no up keep..insane
- Jose (2/5): Just DON'T! - I'm not even sure why this place is being offered. It is sooo rundown. It seriously looks like a motel where people go to do drugs.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't stay here!!! - The room was under repairs and we were not informed about them when we checked in. The manager became very hostile when we let him know what was going on and refused to refund our money other than the deposit.
- Robert (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! - My room was NOTHING like the picture. The lobby smelled mouldy and smokey..my room...holes in the wall...no light bulb in the lamp...one thin top sheet..no blanket...the mattress was mush...gave in clear to the box when I sat on it...window air conditioner was LOUD....one thin towel in the bathroom...went to office to complain...locked..no one around...I left ...ate the forty bucks...got a different place.....wouldn't keep a dog here... and Hotels.com should delist this DUMP
- Marissa (2/5): - There was no one at the front desk to help us so we had to leave and find another hotel.
- Justin (2/5): OH NO!!! The health DEPT and DEA and Local police - Other then the random guy in my room smoking METH !! At check in, or the Prostitution ring on the 2nd floor, or the 20 different police officers on a every 4-6 hour rotation outside in the parking lot, or them putting me on the 3rd floor with a disabled child with no elevator, or the part where there was no Hot water , clean sheets, towels, or them Taking my Drivers license at check in to make a photo copy and not giving it back to me for 4 days.
Or where we had to book another hotel because it was such a Heath and safety hazard and they refused to refund us?
Which part would you like to know about?
- Jennifer (8/5): - For the price it was good. Set up kind of like an apartment.
